( . sweetclover1 i'm good with that ! just in case you need more info. about maeve:
maeve is the calm type who thinks ahead and avoids trouble (although this isn't to say she won't aid mischief to a degree). she's prone to looking after others and possesses unyielding loyalty towards her friends, so she kinda may feel like an older sister sometimes because of her tendency to look after others. she's not a very confrontational and eludes conflict as much as possible and is pretty hardworking when it comes to studying/keeping grades up. it's a little difficult to warm up to her and earn her trust right away, though, but she's fairly impartial and cordial to everyone no matter who that is. it's the reason for why she may have people she's a stranger to in a specific environment, but she doesn't necessarily have particular enemies. she's the kind of classmate who, if you need to take a test but don't have an eraser and you ask her for one, she'll break off her own for you. everyone's starter and character is amazing. i'm so tempted to just start typing mine out right now haha i promise i'll get something up tonight so that i won't keep this waiting also blaze and clover are right !! just take your time dark c: long posts definitely consume a lot of energy )

((Since this also starts out with them being called, you can fit in a lot of stuff. Describe their day fully. Conversation between friends or coworkers before they go. Add an entire couple paragraphs on receiving the message, etc. When you actually do it, it's a lot easier than it seems. XD))

Hemera "Nyx" King • 18 • Female • Athena She is a petite thing, barely standing at 5'1". Her dark brown hair is always left in its naturally thickly curled state. Usually, she does nothing more than try to run a comb through it in the mornings, although it does nothing to tame her crazy wild hair. Her eyes are the same dark brown as her hair, and her skin is also dark. Her features are almost childlike, with chubby cheeks and big eyes. She dresses simply most of the time with skinny jeans and simple shirts, usually with simple pullover sweaters, and usually flats or Converse sneakers. Nyx also tends to do plenty of painting with her spare time, so her clothes usually have some stains on them and her hands are typically stained with paint as well and on rare occasions, her face will have some splotches. Nyx is a bit shy, to say the least. She's soft-spoken and quiet, although she's also not typically easily perturbed or offended. She handles everything in a fairly upbeat fashion, trying to stay optimistic and also trying not to offend others with whatever she says. She can be considered overly polite, and probably can get fairly annoying after apologizing way too much over nothing, just in fear that she might hurt someone's feelings. Nyx has also always been fairly smart, getting good grades and loving to read. On top of this, she tends to love painting, drawing, and other artistic things, and is almost never found without her sketchpad in her bag. As her horrible name suggests, Nyx's parents work as historians or something along those lines. She has never been too sure, but she knows that they had a strange obsession with Ancient Greece and the Greek gods. Thus, when she was born, they named her after the Greek Goddess of Day, Hemera. She absolutely despises this name and will not usually admit that, well, that's what her name is. Around when she was fourteen or so, Nyx was invited to go vandalizing with some fellow classmates. Well out and about, they gave her some cans of spray paint and insisted that they all spray paint names on the wall, and told her to pick something. She chose, well, Nyx, remembering the name from her days of listening to stories that her parents told -- Nyx, after the Greek Goddess of the Night. Anyway, she committed some minor crimes for a while before getting arrested once and then returning to the straight and narrow. Overall, she had a really good childhood and grew up in a cushy, upper middle class home and has always been an only child. Hephaestus Risto Simone Torres Status: Having a conversation with a necklace is kinda fine and dandy.
Whenever tension coursed through his pulsing veins, he liked to rest his hand on the glistening hammer around his neck, gently playing with the smooth object between his thumb and index finger like a child seeking the comfort of their favorite possession. He could never truly remember where he’d found the black charm fastened around his throat, though it was something that had always allowed him to recollect a certain degree of composure when it truly counted. And it was this very moment when he eyed the Parthenon that his muscles tightened with a faint sense of bemusement.
From a distance, if one were to see Risto Simone Torres, they would see a mildly sun-kissed young man squinting at the sight of the Parthenon that towered over his lean, bird-like figure. His lips hung slightly ajar as if he’d been in the middle of attempting to conjure a few words that would summarize his bewilderment upon witnessing the immense, white structure, though, of course, no sound escaped him as of current; it was as if someone had pressed a transparent ‘mute’ button. Without too close of an inspection regarding his character, perhaps the most noticeable trait about this young man were his eyes. They were, indeed, two expressive dark pools of brown that ensnared genuine affection and warmth, and the rings around his iris were two golden drops of hazel that captured what little light remained around his immediate environment. Though he lingered there without motion for a touch longer, there was something vibrant about the air that encircled him alone; something that hinted at a vivacious and joyously animated personality. Was it the way how naturally sanguine his sharp and vigilant gaze remained? Either way, there was something easygoing to his overall character, and it made him seemingly rather approachable.
I see that you’ve arrived.
The voice hauled him out of his reverie, and Risto stood, curiously blinking his cat-like eyes. He’d woken up only to find himself humbled in the presence of the Parthenon - a sight he’d never imagined he’d see - and throughout the day, he vaguely remembered hearing voices that sounded as if someone had been standing there, next to his flank. Just like it had now. Who are you? His own thought seemed to echo all around himself as he surveyed his surroundings, only to hear what resembled a gravelly chuckle. You’ll see soon enough, Torres. For now, let your curiosity guide you to where you’d most like to be.
Where he most wanted to be? Involuntarily, instinctively, his orbs danced over to rest on the mammoth-like structure. Gods, of course he wanted to be inside; there was a knot gyrating and growing in his stomach that urged him to take a look of whatever adventure was hidden within, and he wasn’t entirely certain if it was solely his own will that was coaxing him into taking a step inside. The inquisitiveness that enveloped him was like fire scorching his skin, and he partially blamed it on the charm, which felt abnormally warm against the dip between his collarbones. It was, however, also what drove his feet forward, and he soon found himself approaching the massive pillars bit by bit with every passing minute.
As he closed in, he rubbed his eyes when he thought he’d spotted the silhouette of a tall individual, who was currently stretching with his arms over his head and… whistling? They emitted one, swift note that seemed to embody their impression of the Parthenon, and Risto soon slowed his pace down, feeling his heart pick up a beat. To find another person here in the middle of the night was a rather different experience, to say the least. He wasn’t entirely certain of how to receive the whole situation - leaving his apartment, driving to the one and only Parthenon from the lure of a charm, hearing voices in his head, standing out in the middle of the night in a place he wasn’t supposed to be - with the poise of a swan. At the moment, felt more like an awkward duckling caught out in the middle of an open field. Were they someone he was to be wary of?
He isn’t your enemy, the voice rumbled again in his ear. Then he supposed had a few options to weigh. A) Listen to the voice he wasn’t even certain was real and perhaps speak with this individual B) turn away from the entire circumstance and head back to the familiarity of his car, or C) make a dash towards the open side door. I’m quite real, I assure you, he heard, the voice clearly laced with velvety amusement. As if to prove a point, his charm seemed to drastically heat up to an unimaginable temperature, causing him to jump a little. “All right, all right, I understand, you’re real,” he spoke underneath his breath with a quirked eyebrow, glaring at the charm. The wink of light from the hammer seemed to be a light-hearted response to his words, and Risto stood while raking his hand through his dark, tousled hair upon realizing something: he was now having a conversation with his necklace.
That was somewhat normal, right?
Right?

The morning started out like every other, with Kai waking up to the sound of his alarm. He laid in bed for a moment, bleary-eyed and trying to convince himself to just get up. This day would be just like any other, uneventful, and there was no point in prolonging the inevitable by just laying there. Plus, work kind of needed him. He had been there for just a year, but that was more than many of the others. And he was one of the only full-time workers.
Well, he thought. The cows will be happy to see me.
That was enough encouragement to get Kai at least sitting up in his bed. He looked out the window, not surprised to see that it still looked like it was night out. The farm had him starting at six, which meant that Kai had to be up by five. Despite the somewhat annoying hours, he wouldn't trade his job for anything.
As Kai got dressed, he hesitated, looking down at the little spear charm that he had received when he had to of been about ten. He had been sitting alone at the playground when it had happened -- a glinting little spear charm, hanging on a necklace chain, and partially buried underneath the wood chips. He had held onto it, usually with it in his pocket, until his mother one day found it. She had been a little worried since he had found it on the ground, so she had taken it away and hidden it. Kai had managed to find it and ever since, he had kept it safely in his pocket and made sure that his mother never found it again. For some reason, it made him feel comfortable.
He hesitated before picking it up and dropping it in the pocket of his jeans.
--------
For the most part, Kai's morning started out as it always did. He drove to work and headed out to the barn, giving the special cows that he liked scratches and giving a couple of the meaner cows angry glares. He fed them like normal -- hay and a bit of grain, and then walked over to start filling up the water tank.
It started out with him dragging the hose over and dropping it in the tank. He noticed one of the cows standing behind him, watching him, which was a little strange since cows typically loved food above all else but he figured she was just extra thirsty. So Kai continued on doing what he was doing and turned on the water. He headed back over to the tank to watch it start filling up.
And yes, in this extremely unpleasant environment to some, with Kai humming some tune under his breath, he started to feel something warm in his pocket. He was obviously confused, a frown coming to his face before he reached into his pocket, flinching and dropping the little spear charm to the ground. Why was it so hot, as if it was burning? He stared down at it in relative confusion.
Then, a voice boomed in his head. A strong, powerful voice, one that made Kai jump and almost fall backwards into the water tank before he caught himself. Go to the Parthenon-- It began in a demanding, strong voice. The voice of someone that wasn't argued with often.
Until, of course, Kai interrupted the voice to ask; "In Greece?" His hands were trembling and his fingers were now digging into the cool metal lip of the stock tank. Kai certainly didn't have the money or time for that... but also, why would he listen to a voice in his head?
Okay, but did that voice in his head just sigh? No. In Tennessee. Leave now.
Well, this voice was awfully demanding. Kai wanted to ignore it and continue his day, but none of this felt... natural. And he wasn't about to argue with some booming voice in his head that had also caused his charm to heat up (certainly that hadn't been coincidental), so he found himself suddenly planning a trip to Tennessee, although for now, he took a moment to catch his breath and right his scrambled thoughts.
I said now.
"Fine, jeez, demanding."
In his hurry to leave, Kai almost forgot to turn off the water to the stock tank. In minutes, he was in his car, headed home. He called his boss on his cellphone and informed him about his sudden trip to the Parthenon (he lied and said it had something to do with his mother and sister).
Kai found himself packing the bare necessities, which basically ended up just being everything in his entire apartment except for the furniture. Moving around so much as a kid had made Kai always travel light. He filled his bag with his clothes, and some basic toiletries, and realized that he was ready to go. That was all he needed and if he never returned here, Kai wouldn't even notice. Huh.
It was about an six hour drive from his remote home in Ohio, but Kai managed to drive all the way through, only stopping for a couple bathroom breaks and to get some food. By time he was pulling into the parking lot of the Parthenon, he was exhausted and probably looked horrible.
What was he thinking, driving all the way here because a voice had talked to him?
He pushed those thoughts away as he parked his truck and looked out the window towards the Parthenon. It loomed just above him, and Kai started to feel more and more uncertain about this idea. He had to be completely crazy to have turned up here and expected anything and for a moment, he was about to leave, but then he saw a couple other people heading into an unlocked door of the Parthenon. Well, that had to be a sign.
Turning off his truck, he hopped out and started towards the building, feeling uncomfortable as he did so. He stepped through the door into the building and looked around before his eyes fell on a gathering group of fellow people near his age. Kai hesitated, and then headed towards the group.

Ophelia hera
Ophelia hated dreams. She hated the feeling of being completely vulnerable while her mind created vivid hallucinations. The day had been like any other. She had a couple lessons before she visited her father at work. She sat in one of the most boring meetings she'd ever experienced without complaint. She never complained. Not when the men were wrong, or when her black heels gave her blisters. Because complaining was a sign of weakness, and she would never let those fools in the office know her weaknesses. She drove home in pure silence, not once reaching her hand towards the radio.
The sun was falling past the horizon as she opened the front door to the family manor. Immediately, the dark-haired girl walked into the bathroom next to her bedroom. She stalked across the room to the tub. She grasped the knob, and she twisted her wrist. The hissing of pipes filled her ears as hot water began to fill the clawfoot tub. She slowly took off her clothes as the tub filled with water. Finally, she shut off the water as she slid into the steaming water.
With a sigh, Ophelia closed her eyes as she soaked in the warmth of the water. It was nice to just relax and to have a moment for herself. She watched her hand float in the water, nothing else important except the movement of her slender fingers. Suddenly, an uncomfortable heat began to bloom in between her collarbones. She glanced down, looking at the charm that hung from a chain around her neck. It was a pomegranate that was cut in half to reveal seeds made of amethyst that glistened in the light. It was something she constantly wore, and nobody knows how she found it. Nobody but her.
With narrowed eyes, Ophelia gazed at the charm. The heat began to burn against her skin. "What the....." Ophelia started to reach for the clasp of the golden chain it hung on when the charm started to feel like fire against her skin. She gasped, her fingers fumbling as she hurried to take the charm off of her. Her wet fingers slipped over the clasp before she finally got it off. Hurriedly, she dropped it onto the floor beside the tub. Panting and full of adrenaline, she caressed the area where the charm had sat against her skin, finding it warm and red. I must just be imagining things, she thought, grabbing a towel as she stood up. I guess I need sleep more than I thought.
Within minutes, the young girl was dressed and in bed, near asleep. Her necklace sat on her side table, and her teal colored eyes stared at it intently as she fell asleep.
When Ophelia awoke, she was walking on golden clouds. She glanced about, looking for, well, anything. Usually in dreams, she was in her fathers office or walking around somewhere she was familiar with. But the clouds were new. And so were the voices.
"Come find me, my blossom. At the Parthenon. You are now the Fate of everything. I am waiting."
For a second, Ophelia thought the voice was that of her mother. But the voice was too strong and sure. More powerful than the sweet, gentle tone her mother had used. As she puzzled over who had spoken to her, the urge to look at her hand overwhelmed her. Held firmly between her fingers was her charm on it's golden chain. Almost as if the sight had triggered her, she shot awake.
Ophelia wasted no time. She put on a pair of skinny jeans before she put on a shirt and a hoodie. She grabbed only her phone as she headed towards her door. As her hand grasped the handle, she turned to look at the charm sitting across the room. Quickly, she raced across the room and clasped it back around her neck. Just as swiftly, she exited the room.
About an hour into the drive, pulled out her cell phone. "Ah! Hello, Derek," she chirped sweetly into her phone. She'd left without a goodbye to her father, and only as she crossed the state border did she think to notify someone of her plan. So, she called her father's assistant. Derek was a nice guy, and he was always eager to please. It wouldn't be too hard to get him to tell her dad what she was up to. "Listen, I'm going on a trip. Been feeling a little bored lately. Tell my dad I won't be back for a week or so. Can you do that for me hun? Thanks! Goodnight, Derek."
It took nearly two days, but she got there. Ophelia saw the Parthenon, and immediately knew she was in the right place. Whatever that voice was, it was something important, she could feel it in her bones. The white structure was massive and beautiful. But it wasn't just the structure itself that caught her attention. A group of people close to her age stood outside. She walked to them, suddenly wishing she had some pepper spray. "Please don't let it be a cult," she muttered under her breath as she drew closer, eyes gleaming in the moonlight as she tried to analyze the different people. Deep in her heart, she knew everything was about to change. And she knew it all started when her most beloved treasure left it's mark on her skin.
