She-cats who could help and moss. Right. The only problem was that it was leaffall, and it made any greens far more difficult to find; he was certain things would worsen and they would lack supplies once leaf bare truly begun. But still it had to be done - he wasn't certain how the kit was doing as of now, but he was certain that she needed all the warmth she could receive. As cats of the North, they were all strong against the cold; they'd slept, lived and vigorously trained in the environment for a long time, after all, not to mention that their pelts had mostly adjusted to repel the low temperature. But the guest who'd arrived was only and still a kit; the thought simply made knots gyrate in his stomach. Stepping out of the medicine cat's den, Junipernose surveyed the camp. Perhaps he could use the moss of his own bed? It wasn't too far since greenleaf had ended, so it still remained somewhat intact. There most likely could be some use for it.
"Junipernose, you looking for this?" Swiveling around (goodness, he was being called often today), he was admittedly subtly surprised to find none other than Robinstripe standing there with a bundle of feathers and moss gently clamped in his jaw. It seemed to be the main reason for why his speech was muffled. "Robinstripe? How?" He said as he blinked his eyes in a mixture of confusion and puzzlement.
"Silverberry," the warrior answered simply with a very subtle huff through his nose, as if there was no need to add onto his words. And, for the most part, he wasn't wrong; the image of the silver and white warrior allowed him to process the situation without asking too many questions. "I ran into her and she told me to grab as much of my bedding as I could. She probably thought that the kit could use some extra help."
There were quite a few things that Robinstripe prided himself with, and that included his bed; he was a warrior who put quite a bit of effort into building his nest over a long period of time so that it fit him perfectly (little by little he would gather more moss and the feathers of birds meticulously whenever he could). So to see him standing there with his own nest in his mouth, now messy and disheveled - it was quite a surprise, indeed. "You're the one who said there's no time to waste," said Robinstripe with a warm glow to his gaze, hauling him out of his reverie. "Come on, let's go over to Snowstar and see how they're all doing."
"You're the best, you know that?" Asked Junipernsoe as he affectionatley bumped the large, white tom's flank with his head.
"I can't believe you just figured that out."
"Oh, be quiet, you, before I change my mind."
And with that, they headed off to the leader's den, where the rest of the warriors were gathered.

"I'll see if I can give this to Shimmerheart," mumbled Robinstripe around the moss and the feathers before he took off to the medicine cat's den. Though he hadn't said anything upon sighting the kit - who looked safe and seemed to be on good paws - the tall, white tom had looked overwhelmingly relieved. He placed a superficial veil over himself most of the time, but he was quite a soft-heart behind his mask, it seemed. "Thank you, Whitetail," Junipernose answered in gratitude after watching Robinstripe disappear and reappear. He then warmly blinked his amiable green eyes in her direction before he regarded both of the warriors, then the clan as a whole.
There seemed to be enough warriors who were remaining in the camp (in case something went wrong) so having a second patrol, it seemed, wouldn't bring them any harm. "All right. We'll have to return soon, but a small patrol won't hurt - there may be others who need our help out there, after all," he said with a nod of his head. He was certain they would return soon from their search; after all, the patrol was rather small, since it included Robinstripe, Whitetail, and himself. With this number, they wouldn't be able to go too far. Not with all the dangers outside. Taking a few steps towards the entrance, he flicked his gray tail behind himself. Though his gaze and his voice was gentle, there was a firmness about him that made him suit the dutiful position he'd been given. "Let's head out."

[ Hey Petri! Welcome! I have just a couple of things to say- I'd like to keep the rp more realistic to the book so what exactly do you mean by "cloaking techniques?" But otherwise, it's all good! And I like the idea of having other cats out there! Sure you can!

[ Alright, I'm here now haha It's hard to rp on my phone xD ]
Snowstar felt a rush of warmth move through her pelt as she watched her clanmates come together so quickly to help this kit and see if they could find the mother. It worried her that they might find nothing, or if they did, that it would be too late. But they had to at least check, especially if the mother was out there still searching for her kit and now the clan had her. She knew how cold it got out there this time of year and staying out too long was not a good thing for any cat, even her and her clanmates despite how long they had lived here and acclimated themselves to the weather. She stood and shook her pelt, thankful that the kit was now in the protective care of the medicine cat and that her warriors were so eager to patrol, with Junipernose so readily organizing the patrols and facilitating things. He was a good choice for a deputy, there was no doubt in that. The two of them worked well together.
Her eyes flicked to where the patrols were leaving and she watched as one left and then, as Whitetail and Junipernose headed out for a second one. She desperately wanted to go out on a patrol of her own, stretch her legs and get out of the cave, but with the amount of cats already out, she decided it would be best to stay in the camp and watch things over, answer any questions, keep the clan from worrying and check in with the kits. She could go out on the next patrol.
As they were leaving, Snowstar called after them. "Junipernose, Whitetail-" She called, "While you are out, could you try some hunting on the way back and if you find any fresh moss, gather that as well!" She meowed. It couldn't hurt to try. The better off they were able to be now, the better off they would be in the future. And when the cold really hit, they would be thankful for it all.

( rping on a phone is super difficult i agree cx i usually try to avoid doing that now haha )
"Junipernose, Whitetail, while you are out, could you try some hunting on the way back and if you find any fresh moss, gather that as well!"
Hearing the familiar voice of his leader, Junipernose stopped in his tracks and turned his head to the side so that his gentle gaze could shift over to meet those of Snowstar. He was more than grateful to her; she was a leader he more than admired for the various virtues she displayed, and he was certainly grateful that he was able to be serving the clan as her deputy. It was true that there were a myriad of responsibilities and challenges he had to regard as deputy, but he was more than certain that there was no bigger honor he could ever even possibly conjure. This was where he belonged, with Snowstar and the rest of the clan.
He stood still for a moment - as if he was registering her words properly in the midst of another thought that was already going through his mind - before a warm smile came across his rather soft features. "Of course," he answered her, now facing her fully, his expression rather vivacious. He was soft-spoken, and yet, something about the air that encircled him seemed to effervescently and trustingly say: leave it to me. "We'll try to return with as many things as we can." Had he been a little closer to her and not the entrance, it was certain that he would've given her a small contact of some sort as a display of farewell - perhaps a playful yet light poke to the shoulder as a subtle sign of reassurance.
- Sitting slightly in the distance was Ebonyfeather, who sullenly watched Junipernose disappear. After the gray deputy had vanished from sight, he returned to resting his jaw on his paws. It hadn't been too long ago since he'd parted from the first patrol, and it seemed that he hadn't moved there after he'd given them his own farewell. But certainly he wasn't sulking as of now; no, of course not. There was no way he would react so straightforwardly and childishly in a circumstance such as this. Okay, he thought as he exhaled a small sigh and flicked his tail from side to side, so maybe I am sulking. If he was human, his current expression could parallel that of a disappointed child's: slightly furrowed eyebrows, pouting lips, with his head slightly tucked to the side to elude the sight of the camp entrance. When he'd offered his help to the first patrol, Kestrelstrike had blinked his green eyes and good-naturedly mrrowed in laughter, after all. Quoting his words, "as great as it is to see you so enthusiastic, Ebonyfeather, you're one of the strongest cats around here, and there are already too many of us leaving. So you gotta stay here and protect everyone, yeah? You never know what might happen. We're counting on you!"
So, here he was. Slowly, after stretching his stiff muscles, the tall, black tom rose to his feet and approached Snowstar after briefly greeting her with a nod of his head, though he still kept a respectful distance from her. "If there's anything I can do right now," he then offered as he glanced over at the now-empty entrance of the camp. "Please let me know, and I'll do the best I can." Wow, he silently scolded himself, already feeling a streak of embarrassment weave its way over his pelt, causing his ears to warm. Great conversation starter. It was true he was still a little awkward. It wasn't as if he didn't want to seem withdrawn - he just... well, he just didn't really know too well what to say during situations such as this one.

Snowstar dipped her head to Junipernose's response and watched as he fully disappeared out of the cave with the others. She knew that she could trust him to bring back whatever he could. Having Junipernose by her side made her job a lot easier- having the right deputy was so important. They had to both be on the same page- of course, having a little friendly disagreement was never a problem, in fact, it was a good thing if only to widen her own views and help her to see the other side of things that might have actually been the better option- but it helped in times like this because she needed someone to count on and not someone who she had to tread around carefully or treat like a kit.
She shook her head to dispel it of any further thoughts on the subject and padded down the ledge. She loved her den and it's ability to look over the clan, but sometimes, it made her feel like she was 'above' her clan mates, sitting so much higher than the rest while they sat below. She didn't want to be viewed as higher, per say, than any of her clan mates, but rather just like them, but still respected as their leader. She didn't want her clan mates to be afraid to approach her out of fear of saying something wrong, because she was a cat like they were- not a faceless leader like she knew her previous leaders had been like- unapproachable, hard, but still strong- just, lacking the emotional connection that made the clan feel like a big family- a leader, but nothing more. She wanted to be that 'more.'
For this reason, she was especially happy when Ebonyfeather spoke to her. She had been watching the tom as he watched the patrols leave and could see the disappointment in his eyes when he had to stay back. She let out a little purr of laughter. "Feeling a little caged in are we?" She asked sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws. She kept her gaze on the cave entrance. "It isn't easy watching the other's leave the clan when we want to as well. But, the others made a good point- we do need you here in camp. You are a strong warrior and what if something happened while the others were out? We need strong cats here to defend the camp." She smiled. "I have to remind myself this sometimes too," She admitted looking down at her paws. "I wish I could be out there helping the others but just because we are not out there right now, does not mean that we are useless." She continued. "There will be other patrols later in the day and you and I will be sure to go out ourselves. For now, the best we can do is rest up and be ready for that time and if anything were to happen now. Have you eaten anything yet today?" She asked glancing over at the pile.

"Feeling a little caged in, are we?"
He shrugged his shoulder a little in response while he simply allowed his gaze to travel over the rest of the camp; it seemed that he was badly attempting to mask his disappointment behind a layer of casual indifference. "Not really," he mumbled underneath his breath as he heard her small purr of laughter (which indisputably shot another subtle streak of embarrassment over his pelt. Star Clan, why was he born with this unfortunate personality of being so flabbergasted by conversations and situations such as this one?)
His thoughts and feelings were almost transparent by this point in front of his leader; it was so easy to grasp the emotions he felt once his initial barriers started to break, and around Snowstar, they seemed to be nonexistent. In any case, it most likely didn't seem like it on a normal basis, but if there was one thing that was rather clear about the warrior, especially after getting to understand his character over time, it was that he took the words of those he respected or cherished to heart. With that said, it was no wonder he listened so attentively (while seemingly looking as if he was only half-listening) to Snowstar's words as she spoke. He glimpsed over in her direction briefly, catching her smile before she looked down at her paws. As he heard her continue, he, too, let his orbs flicker down to rest on his paws. Admittedly, her words did spark something within Ebonyfeather, whose tail involuntarily floofed in what bordered a twinge of pride. A genuine praise was something he wasn't terribly used to (even though Kestrelstrike and Junipernose seemed readily adamant about giving him as many as they could whenever the chance arose), and it was nice to hear it from those he'd come to trust over the time he'd spent with them.
"There will be other patrols later in the day and you and I will be sure to go out ourselves. For now, the best we can do is rest up and be ready for that time and if anything were to happen now."
He nodded his head as he said, "I understand." When she inquired him further about whether if he had eaten or not, he tipped his head to the side. "Actually," he answered her with a beat of hesitance, "I haven't. I wasn't sure if everyone got to eat something first." As if on cue, his stomach loudly complained.

At Ebonyfeather's response, Snowstar found herself standing and shaking her pelt. She flicked her tail in the direction of the pile, which was still very full. "Come along then," She meowed moving her head in that direction. "Why don't we head over and get something." She admired Ebondyfeather's concern for the rest of the clan but he had to eat as well if he was to be strong for everyone else. Besides, the pile was still full and she had seen the clan picking away throughout the day. "I asked Junipernose and Whitetail to see if they could catch anything while they were out, so I'm sure they will bring back a couple of pieces for the pile anyways." She smiled. "And, of course, we can go out hunting ourselves later." She meowed, lastly with a bit of hesitance. She herself, wasn't the greatest hunter so she liked to avoid the hunting the best she could, when given the chance. However, she never passed up a chance of hunting for the clan. She was leader after all and she was fully capable of hunting. Her paws sometimes just got the best of her and caused her embarrassment. Although, she shouldn't really care what the other's thought of her, but the idea of having a weak hunter as the leader, herself, didn't bode well with her. What happened if the clan was sick and they needed someone to get them prey but she was so clumsy that she scared the prey away before she could get to it? It was never her strong suit- she had the speed and she was good at blending in, but the skills were never something she had been great at mastering.

Harewind rushed over to Snowstar. "I'll show you where I found the kitten!" He meowed, glancing at the entrance. "She was by a tree, it was at the east border!" He said impatiently, kneading his paws on the ground waiting for the patrol to leave.
Rabbitwind woke up from the noise. She went outside and went over to medicine den, she didn't feel the best. When she went in she saw a kit. "What is.. huh?" She was confused. "I've never seen a calico kit here before" She thought to herself.

He was about to protest that he was fine, that once the patrols returned, they most likely needed fresh kill more than he did, but his stomach grumbled loudly once again. To this, he decided to silently agree with Snowsta's suggestion, and approached the pile before he picked out a mouse for himself. "Right," he said as she reassured him with Junipernose and Whitetail, which he accepted with an appreciative nod of his head; he wouldn't admit it out loud anytime soon, but it felt nice to have others to depend on, especially with the temperature steadily decreasing and the threat of leaf bare looming over their heads.
At the mention of hunting, he tilted his head just the slightest bit to the side. He'd definitely caught the subtle pause of hesitance from Snowstar, but he decided not to highlight this or mention it in the slightest bit. Hunting had never been his strongest asset to offer to the clan, either; he was agile on his feet, but he was easily noticeable from the color of his pelt, and that made it difficult for him to deftly catch prey out in the snow, especially since they were so wary. His mind flickered back to her hesitance. Was this the time for him to encourage her? She'd been more than kind to him throughout a myriad of situations, and it felt wrong to remain silent. "If we do go hunting sometime," he gingerly started, "it would be more than reassuring to have you there."
Hearing Harewind speak enthusiastically about the location where he'd found the kit, the dark-furred warrior glanced over at Snowstar, waiting for her response; he would trust her judgement and guard the camp to the best of his ability, regardless of her decision.
