IntroductionYou pad through a snowstorm, trying to reach the mountains. The wind is whipping your fur and whiskers, and the cold numbs your nose. You can't even smell a scent coming straight for you until it's too late. "Get out of our territory!" Yowls a voice, snarling in your ear. You screech in alarm and pummel the belly of your assaulter. The cat jumps back circling you, and then you realize it's not much more than a kit! Can't be more than six moons, yet the muscles rippling beneath his pelt is unlike anything you've seen! It's like he's.... been trained? "Ferretpaw, stop. This cat clearly means no harm." Comes a commanding voice. You turn to the owner of said voice, and see a gray she-cat with black flecks. "I am Rainstar, and we've been watching you trying to survive in this cold. You do well." She pads up to you, continuing to meow. "You could do well within our ranks. We are always looking for those with a fire in their heart, and it seems like you have that fire. What do you say? Care to join FrostyClan?" Do you?

Post Five: News, Plot, Prophecy, Season, Weather HistoryOnce, not long ago, a group of cats all lived together in this one spot where there was a large tree above a wide-mouthed cave. They lived in this cave for many moons, and things worked out well for them. Then, one day, four strange new cats came to the tree. Each of the four cats wanted to take their own group of cats to a new home, where they promised they would all thrive. All of the cave-dwelling cats agreed to choose their ways. Some went with Frosty, others with Shade, another group with Pebble, and the remaining cats with Cloud. One cat, who was one of the darkest and most dangerous cats, began to lead Shadeโs group. He decided that since Shade helped his group find a great new home, he would name his clan ShadeClan, in honor of Shade and the clan's shady home and lifestyle. Frosty took her cats to the mountains, and they climbed the nearest mountain, where they made camp. Frosty decided to assume leadership of this group and make it his own clan. He named the clan after himself, as he thought he deserved this honor. Cloud took the cats to another territory, west of FrostyClan. One of the cats decided to name the new clan AirClan, since many of them were proficient at leaping into the air. The last group of cats followed Pebble. Pebble was a small cat, but with his silent authority he became their leader. Not many cats went with his group, but Pebble made them strong. He named the group of cats EarthClan, after their new woodland territory where he was born and raised as a loner. Each Clan promised to continue being friendly, so each clan could enjoy their homes in peace. Not many moons later, some of the young warriors discovered that the four cats who separated them into clans were siblings and that they despised each other due to a feud that had sparked when they were very young cats. The four cats eventually turned the clans against each other, unable to forget their feud. Pebblestar and Frostystar joined forces to kill Shade and Cloudstar, then decided to finally make a truce. Peace had still not been reached, though, because soon Frostystar was ambushed and killed by a ShadeClan cat. Pebblestar was the only sibling left alive, and no one dared hurt him. However, he had to live with the fact that all of his siblings were dead, and this weakened his mind later in his life. ShadeClan's leader began having dreams about a place with a pure black sky, where it was eternally night. He began going there every sunset, listening to the SpiritClan catsโ whispers. He started leading ShadeClan as the dark cats commanded him, and he grew darker and more corrupt. FrostyClan tried to intervene, reminding ShadeClan to be friendly cats with good values, but the clan was on a downward spiral toward evil. The other Clans allied in protest, but ShadeClan found a way to ward the attacks off. EarthClan tries to keep away from the squabbles between clans, but FrostyClan and AirClan are always battling each other or ShadeClan. It has been many seasons since the Clans were founded. But EarthClan and AirClan has since left the territory, wanting to escape ShadeClan's corruption. FrostyClan is the only one to stay, hoping to turn the dark Clan back to the light. Maybe one day, the other two clans will return, and it'll once again be four clans, united.
About The ClanThis is FrostyClan, the clan of the calm and gentle. They are more peaceful with cats outside their clan, and often try to stay out of fights. However, fights still tend to break out despite their efforts. They have thick fur to withstand the cold environment of their mountain homes. Their pelts also are often white, or gray or brown to match their surroundings, however other colors are in their gene pool as well. They have rough paw pads for ice, so they can grip better and not slip.
Rules1. Follow all forum rules. This is easy. Just follow the rules that you have to follow anyways. Why would you change your thoughts when you join this roleplay?
2. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus. Do not make your character the best. No -ests. Your character is not the 'fastest' or the 'strongest.' Unless you're saying "She's not the strongest, but she's agile." That's okay. I ask if you have 2 strengths, give your character 2 weaknesses. Just make sure your character's strengths and weaknesses are equal. Your cat cannot be very strong, very fast, an amazing hunter, everyone's their friend; just, no. Also, don't make your character the worst at everything, so they get lots of attention. I should stop, this is the next rule.
3. No ___. The reason I made this blank is because there's a bunch of stuff I am going to be saying here. Don't make yourself the center of attention. Next, no god-modding or anything like that. Your character cannot make a fox run in one hit, or kill a badger in one swipe. No mind-reading, either. People will post their character's thoughts, but you don't know theyโre thinking that. Don't reply to their thoughts. No kit___ing. You will be ignored if you do anything like that. No powers, either. Unless we have discussed some sort of plot, your character has no powers, or anything super special. Don't control other characters. That's just... Unless you have permission and you are a high-rank alt (explained in activity) you may not roleplay another's characters. First word of the code Survive.
4. Activity. Try to post a minimum of three times a week, if you are not a high rank. High ranks, I suggest posting at least five days a week, if not more. Don't come on for an hour and then never come back. But posting a minimum of three times or six days of the week, I mean don't come on, say one thing, and leave. You have to do something useful, like have a conversation or something. After two weeks of inactivity, we will remove your character. Also, if you are going somewhere and you probably won't post for awhile, please say. We will mark your character as 'Away.' Also, in times like this, or if a high rank is needed badly but they are asleep or something, we will have alts. Make sure you have other characters, too, as you will not be using these unless it's an emergency.
5. Respect. Please do not create arguments outside of RP. Be respectful to everyone. No swearing, either. If you want to say something bad, at least say it in a cat swear (Fox-Heart etc). Don't take everything seriously. This is a fun environment and if something doesn't happen as you would like, it's just RP. The next two words are like a.
6. Characters. Two things fit under here. Keep your characters realistic. No star shaped patches on your back, or bright purple eyes. Make sure your character is like a real cat. Don't make it something that you would never see in the wild. The next thing is there is a max of five characters, but if you are a good rper, and you are active, we will allow as many as you want. People who join from the beginning and helped automatically get an unlimited amount.
7. Spamming. Do not spam anything. Do not repeat '__ come to __' over and over again. You may say it once or twice, but please do not ask over and over again, unless it is a different person or a new thing. 8. Role-Playing. No one-liners, unless it's the only thing you can do. Try to make your posts detailed, close to 4 sentences at the least. Don't make your posts so long that people get bored, though. No text-speak. Try to use proper grammar. No one can spell everything correctly, but try your best, and use correct capitalization and punctuation. The last word is tiger!
9. Last Thing! Look over every post before joining! We don't want someone to be confused. If you have any questions, ask! We want this to be a fun place and we don't want people to not join because they don't understand. People are here to help!
TraditionsBefore becoming a Warrior, each FrostyClan Apprentice must sit vigil outside camp in the cold, without stepping into the warmth of the camp. If they can't handle the cold, they aren't ready to become proper Warriors.
TerritoryFrostyClan's territory is within the mountains. There is a snowy forest at the base of the mountain, and their camp is located near the middle of the mountain. There is a wide frozen lake with fish inside the forest.
CampThe camp entrance is located underneath a pile of snow. It is constantly covered with snow and ice to hide from the enemy. Inside is a large cave where the cats stay warm when they aren't hunting or patrolling. The Back of the den is the Leader's Den, located up an icy slope that has a ledge, where the clan leader addresses the clan. Beside it is the Elder's Den. On the other side of the leader's den is the Nursery, and beside that is the Warriors Den. Across from them is the Apprentice's, and the Medicine Cat's Den is deeper in the ground, in a hole that is covered by rocks. If there is an attack, Queens, Kits, and Elders take refuge there.

Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed. Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each others back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers. Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes his/her grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position. Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance. Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight. Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed. Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent. Badger Defense - Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers. Duck and Twist - Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto his/her back, and then springs to their paws. Jump and pin - Complicated move. Leap backwards, and bounce off the wall. With precise accuracy, land on the cat GesturesTouching Noses - "I like you!" Lick on the cheek - "I really like you." Lick on the ear - Comforting. Lick on the forehead - "I love you!" / "Will you be my mate?" Brushing tail on back or flank - Calming. Lick under/on belly - "I want kits." Touching nose to cheek - "I'm happy for you" / Comforting. ||Robinpaw|| She-cat || Mentor: not sure ||Survive tiger || Has short brown tabby fur and a white underbelly complete with bright amber eyes. is always positive and happy which can be seen as annoying. is sometimes rash and doesn't give anything a second thought forgetting common sense, she likes to joke around with Ferretpaw enjoying irritating him with her lame jokes {โFrostyโ}
||Duckstep|| Tom || Apprentice:N/A || Has a pale yellow tabby pelt with bright blue eyes. is pretty average, average height average intelligence, he is normal apart from his short temper he is often out of camp only coming back too sleep and eat, which can make others suspicious of him {โFrostyโ}
{Can Duckstep be deputy of meclan? get it? my jokes are terrible XD}

||Willowpaw(frost)||She-Cat||Apprentice||13 Moons|| Beautiful lean pale grey shecat with long flowing fur. Along her spine and tail is a darker pale grey as well as on her paws, muzzle and ear tips. She has sharp long facial features and tufts of fur on her ear tips. Her eyes are a peirceing ice blue. Willowpaw is a sweet caring she-cat who is strictly loyal to her clan and would be to her mate. She is a fierce apprentice and due to her loyalty will never back down from a fight. She was born into the clan, father a wandering rouge who left the territory before her mother could tell him of her pregnancy. Earlier in her apprenticeship she was in a battle that left a nick in her left ear, and hurt her shoulder hindering her training and making her such an old apprentice. However now she is good to go and has caught up to the end of her training.
||Badgerpelt||Tom||Warrior||42 Moons|| Thick set large black tom with with a white underbelly, throat, muzzle and a thin blaze up the bridge of his nose. He has dark amber eyes with a rounded face and round ear tips. Has short thick fur and a score of scar marks across his right flank from an eagle that tried to steal him as prey when he was a kit. Badgerpelt is a rough and tumble kinda tom, and mainly sticks to the warrior code. He believes in friendship, love and loyalty. So far that hasn't made him break the warrior code, but that doesn't mean he wont break it in the future. Badgepelt was born outside of the clan to a kittypet that is unknown. When he was 4 moons old an eagle attacked him and his siblings and carried him far away from his family over Frostyclan territory. Badgerpelt managed to slip out of the eagles talons and land safely in the forest but not with wounds to remind him of the horrific event. He was then found by Frostyclan and taken in and raised in the ways of a warrior.

(Okay, looked over everything and it looks good We can start. Also, Falcon, I just added Willowpaw as Warrior on the front page, since she's becoming a Warrior soon anyways. This is for my own sake of stuff XP) Rainstar and her brother, Talonstrike, were sharing tongues. They observed the camp blissfully, everything seeming to be perfect. Rainstar had just recently gotten her nine lives, and new instantly she'd give all of them up if it meant her clan would stay like this. Ferretpaw was sleeping in the Apprentice's Den, taking a few hours to rebuild his strength from the early morning training with his mentor, Rainstar. He had practically begged her to take him out to be just as strong as her, but he hadn't anticipated waking up before the sun rose.

{{ Okay thats fine with me. Who will be her mentor in the mean time? }}
Badgerpelt padded back into the camp with two mice hanging from his jaws. The large black and white toms heavy footsteps sounded muffled by the fur on his paws. Walking straight to the fresh-kill pile the tom dropped the mice on top and stepped away. Sitting down a couple of paces away be began to groom his thick short pelt, not quite sure what to do now that he finished hunting.
Willowpaw shuffled her paws and played with a small ball of moss as she waited for her mentor. She wasn't quite sure where he/she was and was growing impatient. The older apprentice really wanted something to do and she began to look around for something to occupy her time until her mentor appeared.

{Sorry for not replying as early as i hoped}
Robinpaw yawned having just woken up, she had been stiff in her legs due to the bad moss that was found in her nest. she felt embarrassed being one of the last apprentices to wake up, she gave her her soft tabby fur a couple of swift licks before running to catch her mentor, seeing him drop prey into the pile "Hey, you went hunting without me!" she let out a huff of anger and stomped off ignoring her growling belly, she couldn't think about food now she had to catch her own food later for now she deiced to chat with Willowpaw she must of been bored waiting for her mentor.

"I'm sorry Robinpaw. I woke before the moon went down and just decided to go on a night/early morning hunt. We can go hunting later. Give me a little bit to rest and we can do some battle training before we go hunting", Badgerpelt meowed gently to the offended she-cat as she stormed off. Not taking it to heart knowing she would come back around the large tom went and dropped his catch on the pile and found a sunny spot to lay in for a quick nap.
"Hey Robinpaw!", Willowpaw meowed excitedly to her fellow den-mate when she saw her. She had overheard her and her mentors spat and felt sympathy for the young she-cat. "Don't let it get to you. At least your mentor promised to do something with you, I don't even know where mine is", she meowed trying to make RObinpaw feel better.

(I decided to make Willowpaw's mentor Talonstrike. Sorry for poofing. I didn't know what was wrong with me, but I figured it out. In anything to do with writing, the hardest thing for me to do is actually start. After that it gets easier for me, so I will be more frequent. I apologize for vanishing though >.< )
Talonstrike unwound himself from his sister, and when she gave him an amused look, he rolled his eyes. "She looks impatient, that's all. She's been waiting for a long time to become a Warrior. I think I should at least assess her hunting. See if she's ready to go there." With that he padded off. Rainstar let out a soft laugh as she watched her brother go to his apprentice. She knew Talonstrike had originally been a little peeved that Willowpaw wasn't able to train for a few moons, due to injuring her shoulder. But now that she's been healed and is almost ready to be a Warrior, he's grown a soft spot for her. Like a proud father would for his daughter. Talonstrike approached Willowpaw, meowing. "Ready to hunt? I'm going to test your skills to see how you fair in hunting."

Can I join?
Eaglewing-Warrior- A light gray tom with long, thick fur, and darker gray stripes with a white underbelly. Eaglewing is very friendly to strangers, as he was born a rogue, but he's still very loyal to his clan. He is a natural born fighter, but his hunting skills could use some improvement. He is usually very upbeat, but when he thinks of his family he can get very morose.

When Talonstrike showed himself Willowpaw rushed over to him, "See you in a bit Robinpaw", she called out behind her. "Yes I'm ready lets go", the white and pale grey she-cat meowed her ice blue eyes bright with excited to being going out with her mentor. "I will catch you the biggest piece of prey that it lurking about!", she meowed confidently to him wanting to prover herself so badly now that she was healed up from her shoulder injury.

(Welcome Dawn)
Talonstrike smiled warmly. "Wouldn't expect anything less from you. Now let's get out there." He led the way out of camp and into the snow covered mountains. A few flakes were falling around them, and Talonstrike turned to Willowpaw. "I'll go into hiding to let you focus. However, I will still be watching." He dove into snow covered bushes.

Willowpaw nodded and watched as her grey mentor went into hiding. Once he was gone she focused on the hunt. Moving lightly over the snow the white and pale grey she-cat blended in perfectly. it wasn't long till she found fresh hare tracks in the snow and she followed them cautiously. peeking around a boulder she caught sight of two snow hares digging into the snow looking for vegetation of some sort. With the wind blowing towards her the young she-cat had great odds however she would have to sneak out into the open area before she could pounce or give chase. Flattening herself against the snow Willowpaw slowly stalked forwards making sure her paws stepped into fresh snow so it didn't crunch beneath her weight. Ears flattened and body streamline the apprentice continually made her way ever closer to her target. She decided to go for the smaller one due to the fact that the bigger one was much older almost too old to even be living. Wanting a tasty catch she stilled herself until the right moment. Gathering her muscles she leapt into the air and pounce square on the shoulder of the young hare. Quickly she killed the rabbit with a crunching bite to the neck and looked at the other hare as it fled. The older hare wasn't moving very fast and she shecat took advantage of it and gave chase. It wasn't long and she had caught up to the wiry prey and she hooked her claws into its hind quarters pulling it in for the final blow. The she-cats heart was pounding from the exhilaration of the hunt and she was so surprised that she was able to get both hares. That was a once in a life time opportunity, but it did help that the second kill was too old to flee fast enough. Picking up her second catch she trotted back to where she made her first kill not wanting any eagles or hawks to try and steal it before she was able to secure her catch.
{{ Hey just so you know I wont be active this evening or tomorrow at all, but I will be back Tuesday. }}
