((I knew it. XD I knew SOME of ThunderClan survived. Are Nighttail and Flamerose going to find them when they go exploring? Now I'm even more excited to keep roleplaying.
I like the idea of potentially have the ThunderClan leader survive, or even a small portion of ThunderClan since I find it a little unlikely that only the leader would escape, but I'm cool with whatever. XD And then that alone would disrupt the entire balance. >.> Still like the idea of Wind and Shadow combining, though.))

» Yus! And no, at least not this round. If we do decide to find ThunderClan survivors, it'll be when the clans move (if we decide to move them).
Speaking of which, what does everyone think about having the clans move and then combining to become two clans? Does everyone agree with this plan or have feelings changed now that the prospect of the ThunderClan leader surviving is out there?
I keep telling myself I'll post and then I get distracted asdfgfds«

(My idea behind just the leader dying was that they only survived because they had extra lives. So like let's say three or four cats escape the territory, but they all die of smoke or wounds. But the leader has 5 lives or whatever, loses one to smoke, one or two to wounds, but then has one or two more lives left. Lmao can I claim the ThunderClan leader then, if that would be alright with you, Koi? I just REALLY love "political" drama XD I have a few ideas of maybe what could happen with ThunderClan after the fire, if you don't have anything decided on? Because these are the things I think about while I'm bored at work XD )

(I am finally home so I will try to get some starters up shortly. Because I dislike my characters appearing suddenly halfway through a roleplay and then pretending they've been there the whole time, is it alright if I have them just start showing up now? I have them mentally split into two groups, those being Smokebreath with Fernleap, and then Redwing with Dusky and Midnight. I would probably have Fernleap and Smokebreath show up first, and then Redwing and the others a day or so later. Just thought I'd mention in case anyone wants to like meet some of them at the border or somewhere on the territory or something? Idk.)

(so... maybe you have just the leader, or like the leader and one or two other cats who survive. Being ThunderClan, they would naturally decline to merge with the other Clans no matter what, because I feel like ThunderClan would rather die ThunderClan than become a part of a different Clan. Like, they would be more than willing to let another Clan merge with THEM, but they would never merge with another Clan, if that makes sense. Though I feel like they would be pretty opposed to the Clans merging at all, since they're very Abraham Lincoln in their obsessive need to preserve the established political structure. So basically ThunderClan, though being small/nonexistant, does all they can to take charge and to oppose Yellowstar in merging the Clans, and they try to basically just recruit everyone into New ThunderClan lmao.)

((Well at the same time, I know Flamerose will absolutely refuse to give up WindClan's honor and give into RiverClan and Yellowstar's wishes. (I think Redwing and Smokebreath would probably both do whatever needed to be done to preserve what was left of WindClan, but Fernleap I think would be too prideful to admit that WindClan couldn't survive alone anymore.)

Four sunrises.
The wind churned the ashes as they swept across the moor, sending small black dust clouds scattering across the hills and stirring the occasional charred stalks of grass of skeletons of bushes that decorated the open landscape. The darkness clung to everything, coating rocks and hollows alike, melted into a sticky, disgusting paste by the morning dew, which clung to Smokebreath's paws and tail and belly fur as he perched at the crest of a hill near what had been WindClan's border only a few days before. Now, the acrid stench of the fire had burned away any scent, making this hillside- to those unfamiliar with the territory- the same as any other. But to Smokebreath, it was home. The sight of his home, the only place he had ever known, destroyed to such a terrifying degree filled the old tom with a mixture of emotions: fury, despair, grief. How many of his Clanmates lay undiscovered in the hidden crevices of the moor, buried in ash or wedged in the hollows of rocks, desperate for some kind, any kind, of refuge from the roaring flames?
The gray tom was ripped from these morbid thoughts by a thud from behind him, followed by quiet cursing. He swiveled his ear towards the sound, slowly looking over his shoulder to see Fernleap making her way up the hill behind him. She had slipped in the dark mud and rolled partway down the hill, her pelt now smudged with black from the sticky ash. Fortunately, besides her ego she looked unhurt as she made her way the rest of the way up the hill to stand beside the older tom.
"Ya probably shouldn' play in that," Smokebreath meowed wryly, his humor not entirely lost despite the tragedy.
"Oh, shut up," Fernleap snapped in response, giving a single lash of her tail. Smokebreath would have been taken aback by the venom in the normally easy-going she-cat's voice, had he not grown used to it in the past two days that they had been together. Both cats had been near this border when they spotted the smoke from the fire, and both had realized they would never make it to the lake in time. Smokebreath sought shelter near the Moonpool, knowing that the stone hollow couldn't burn and the water should protect him from the flames. Fernleap had, he discovered later, had a similar idea, but as she had never been there, she was unable to find it. Fortunately, she found a deep pool on the moor beyond WindClan territory, and was able to hide there until the flames had passed. She was lucky that grass burned quickly and the fire quickly smoldered out, before the pool was made too hot for her to survive even there. Now, the way her green eyes desperately scanned the landscape told Smokebreath all he needed to know about her attitude.
"We'll find out soon enough," he murmured, flicking the younger cat on the flank with his tail. "If there are any more cats... around... I imagine they'll be on the island. That looks ta be about the only place lef' mostly untouched." Fernleap nodded, her gaze softening somewhat, but Smokebreath could tell she was worried. Terrified, in fact. He, too, was afraid of what they might find... or what they might not find. He took another sweeping glance at the moor beyond, his gaze passing from the burned ruins of the horseplace in the south to the charred forests of ThunderClan in the north, and finally he took a deep breath of the bitter air.
"Alright, let's go."

» That would be interesting! I think 3-4 cats max would be appropriate. What if it was an elder and an apprentice, that would be hilarious. But yeah, if everyone agrees, we can do a tiny ThunderClan trying to boss peeps around lol
Also, it's moonhigh in the RP. I meant to mention that~ I don't wanna change it since it's imperative to Nighttail and Flamerose's trip. «
Nighttail flicked his tail. "Fine," he muttered. The prospect of eating journeying herbs didn't bother him as much as he made it seem, for the tom secretly desired the strength they would grant him. He was extremely weak from lack of proper nutrition, and his chest ached as if there were millions of tiny, frozen pebbles nesting within his lungs and weighing him down. Standing alone made his muscles burn, and the tom silently wondered if the herbs would be enough to keep him from collapsing.
He shouldered past Nov rather roughly, his distaste for the loner prominent. ShadowClan never tolerated the presence of outsiders, and he wasn't going to let the tragedy change that. "Don't bother," the tom growled in response to Flamerose's inquiry about the loner joining them. "This situation does not involve you." As rude as the remark was, the black tom wasn't entirely wrong. What could the loner possibly do at the Moonpool besides get in their way? Nighttail didn't consider the idea of having a lookout or backup protection since he didn't believe any danger could come from visiting StarClan. He figured they'd have a safe journey, or at the very least a quiet one. What creature would bother to stay in the territory after such a travesty?
Nighttail stalked away from the other cats in search of Lichenpaw. Thistleflower had been clawing at his pelt throughout their entire trip hunting earlier that day, and he was not in the mood to be scolded anymore than he has already been. Besides, Thistleflower was a very smart and skilled medicine cat, and Nighttail knew that the experienced healer would immediately pick up on his unfit state and demand he stay in camp. "Do you have a moment?" the tom asked, nudging the WindClan medicine cat with his paw. Formalities aside, the tom was ready to get on with the trip. "Flamerose and I need traveling herbs."
Yellowstar watched Flurryfoot and the others enter the medicine den next to him. The intense glare the RiverClan medicine cat gave him almost sent shivers up his spine. Has he ever made her this upset before? Surely he's messed up way worse in the past and the she-cat had been kinder, right?
He shook his head to snap out of his stupor, fixing his golden gaze back on Beesplash. He towered over her greatly, but the motherly scolding the shorter she-cat gave him made him feel rather small. "I have to go to the burial," the tom protested at Flurryfoot's remark to keep him retained. He sighed in frustration, shaking his head again. "Anyways, I wasn't thinking clearly this morning, and I may not be thinking straight now... But I just couldn't sit on this idea once it came to me. There is no time to think - we should act immediately. I must do something."
The old tom relaxed his muscles. He was tired, and his lack of sleep showed clearly in his eyes as he stared at his deputy. He didn't expect her to understand, and honestly, he didn't quite understand himself. Was he being selfish, making such a drastic decision on his own? Was he allowing his emotions to cloud his better sense of judgment? His eyes flickered to his den and he frowned. No. He was right, they needed to act. They needed to do something, and soon. But what?

Morningflight twitched her golden ears as she studied her mate without a word, wondering what was going through his head though she said nothing to draw his attention to her presence. Mostly because of the bundle of fluff she held tightly in her jaws, no intention of even amusing the idea that she might let the little kit go before the burial. Her breaths were still half caught in her throat from the smoke inhalation, and it would be her first trip from camp since the fire. Caution seemed to light every movement she made, and tension burned in her muscles as she waited to leave.

((-Crawls in- Hello friends I am defeated but ready to roleplay.
Ahhhh, hello new friends, this is gonna be fun!!! As well as responding with Flurry, I'm just gonna throw out a couple starters for my new characters, anyone can feel free to respond to them. I'm trying out some new organization so I can keep situations straight and characters separate, so forgive me for the constant changes until I get something that feels right :S))
Flurryfoot- Riverclan Medicine cat Medicine den with Morningflight, Yellowstar and Beesplash
The medicine cat glanced between Beesplash and Yellowstar, almost challenging the tom to weasel his way out of why, exactly, he was going to attend the burial of a kit from another clan. She took pity on the tom, however, and sighed. "I know Yellowstar would like to give this kit a proper burial... we figured that, since Shadowclan is in no position to carry out their traditions for burial, a Riverclan one would be the best way to honor her memory. Morningflight feels the same," she mewed lightly, trying to keep her voice level and unsuspecting. Flurryfoot hoped that the two cats wouldn't mind her speaking for them; after all, she was doing her best to keep their relationship under wraps. She knew that Yellowstar would have to tell Beesplash and the clans one day, but much had happened today and she was not in the mood to deal with more drama.
She sent a soft glare in his direction, hoping to send the idea that he owed her for keeping his secret.
Larkstep- Windclan Warrior Gathering Island (open)
The young warrior wheezed heavily, his coltsfoot finally having worn down. His eyes watered as he felt his lungs constrict and refuse his right to breathe. Larkstep focused gingerly, trying to will himself to take in air, and at last his spasms stopped; he gasped as he relished the sooty taste of air as it finally passed the roof of his mouth, into his pleading lungs and out as a warm breath, relieving the light-headed feeling that had briefly conquered his being. He shook a little, his
He felt like an elder with his running eyes and wheezing breaths, moderately concerned about his future as a warrior for his clan. He glanced around, noting the state of the other cats around him; with everyone here suffering with the same fire-sickness as him, it was hard to even imagine a future for the entirety of the clans, let alone Windclan. Larkstep laid his chin on his paws, his breath slowly rasping as he watched the daylight dim.
Hazelpaw- Riverclan Apprentice Sulking near the Riverclan apprentice's den (open)
Hazelpaw watched Lilyfern keep vigil after her naming ceremony, his tail tip twitching. He was happy for her warriorhood, that much was true, but a knot had settled in his gut. He was discontent with the fact that her ceremony had been soiled by the other clan filth that was mucking up his camp; it had been quickly swarmed by angry cats, yowling at the 'leader's' decree of union. Granted, the tom had been part of the cacophony, spitting venom at the mere idea of sharing a clan with scrawny rabbit-eaters and frog-guzzlers. The brown tabby glanced around his fur bristling as he thought again. The tom began to thrash his tail, wishing that he was sitting alongside Lilyfern, christened with his new name and newfound authority as a clan member, where his word would actually count for something more than mousedung.
((Anyone want to claim this fleabag as an apprentice? :3c))
Ham(let)- Barn Kittypet Arriving at the ruined two-leg place (open)
Hamlet yowled at his two-legs, his teeth braced up against the metal cage they had contained him in as he rode with them in the belly of their machine. Granted, where most cats would be terrified and spitting with rage, this pudgy cat was simply bored. And hungry. The sun was nearly down, from what he could see in the windows, and he had only been fed this morning before their expedition had begun. What was
But at last, the car halted its momentum, and the kittypet turned and writhed in his containment the metal webbing rattling against itself. He howled at them, ignoring the two-leg's pleading and cooing sounds, no doubt in a way to get him to be quiet. "Let me out! I have been nice and patient with you! Feed me, you simpletons!" he cried, pressing his face against the sides of the cage and pacing in the small space he could. The tom knew they couldn't quite understand his words, but they responded just the same.
His cage was lifted from the car and the door was open; the kittypet increased his loud caterwauling, telling his two-legs how excited he was to finally be outside of the wretched moving machine. It was then that the scent of soot and ash hit Ham's nose like a skunk's tail. He recoiled at the smell, his fur suddenly bristling. His amber eyes flickered across the landscape and his heart rate was increasing; everything had a tinge of black, much like the soot that settled in the fireplace that his two-legs used for warmth. He no longer yowled; his cage was set down and the metal cage door was freed from the latches, yet Ham hesitated in stepping out. He looked up at the smiling two-leg, who seemed to have a tinge of sadness lacing her flat face. Ham then glanced at the place he called his home and his whiskers drooped sadly; it was a mass of black wreckage. He watched the two-leg retreat to the large cavern that their machine had dragged the entire way. Ham remembered it; it was much like a mini-home that the odd creatures could transport.
Since he had refuge and security with the friends he loved, his home wasn't the primary thing that he was worried about. "The cats... the clan cats..." he thought fretfully, his heart sinking as he presumed the worst. Had they made it out?
((Aphelyon , I kind of figured that Ham could know the two loners that you made? He would actually be owned by the two-legs, where as Dusk and Midnight would just be feral cats in the barn. He was taken away from the barn before the fire happened, of course. Unless you meant a different barn, which is fine too!))

>> Ooc << Ahh okay >> RP << Lichenpaw looked up from sorting herbs outside her den when Nighttail approached her, "Hello Nighttail." She paused and smiled, "Of course I do." She mewed sweeping up the herbs with her paws into a pile, I'll just have to sort them later. At the sound of Traveling herbs she flicked her ear in interest, "Okay let me put these away and then i'll get you them." She mewed picking up the leaf pile in her jaws and walking into her temporary den, although she wasn't sure if it was temporary anymore after Yellowstar's news. She sat infront of her herb store and picked out the traveling herbs, grabbing enough for two cats, she padded back out with a different herb pile in her jaws and set them at Nighttail's feet. "There you go." Her voice was Cheery, she shuffled her paws and avoided the toms gaze for a second. "Umm.. Do you mind if i ask where you're going?"
