Willowbreeze padded around the nursery trying to get comfortable with her swollen belly. She look sympathetically at Echosong remembering her own loss with when her mate died not long ago. She sighed trying to think of what to say to the young queen.

Sunhawk watched the rogue and Froststar speak with narrowed eyes. She trusted Froststar's judgement fully, and appreciated the rogue would not be sharing the warrior's den so soon. She didn't move from her spot outside of the nursery and she no longer had any inclination to leave camp. She wanted to keep her eyes on the rogue, and congratulate Dustwhisker when she got the chance.

Sparrowpaw slowly got to her feet and stretched. She'd enjoyed their short patrol and her role in it, but now she wasn't quite sure what to do. She ended up just lying in a patch of sunlight and hoping to go training later on.

Robinwing purred in approval when Froststar announced Dustwhisker as the next deputy. He was a fine choice and would make the Clan proud. Ash, the newcomer, still made her a bit nervous. She wasn't so sure about a new cat just walking in a joining the Clan. His size made her nervous, and he was quite the intimidator. After the events with the kits, her weariness about the borders had increased. A fox and a rogue all in such a short time of each other. Froststar's decision to double up border patrols comforted her slightly, but not enough to let the old warrior relax.

Willowbreeze padded outside the nursery and stretched her legs. She nodded Sunhawk keeping watch outside. Although she was naturally trusting, the news of a rouge made her nervous as well.

A look of scorn was etched into Rosethorn's face .
The massive she cat sat a few fox lengths away from the stranger that had been brought into their camp , her green eyes raking him up and down like claws on a tree trunk . Outsiders were threats - that's how she viewed it . The rough-around-the-edges feline was not one for change , especially change she didn't agree with . She saw this act was soft , ridiculous , even .
Regardless , she flattened her ears , standing and arching her back to send a stream of pops down her spine . As if she wasn't already massive enough , her fur fluffed up as she did so , making her dwarf her almost as massive brother . She sauntered a bit closer , half lidded eyes feigning interest in the newcomer . She didn't say anything , simply watching . Rosethorn would be sure to let this strange cat know that regardless of what the others would think , to her , he would not be welcome .
Barkpelt shifted uncomfortably next to his sister as he followed behind her , his ears flattening . " Can't you do something other than sit around and look like you want to claw everyone's pelts off ? " He asked , only looking grumpier when his sister idly replies that's exactly what she wanted to do .
His olive eyes rolled so hard they might've just popped out of his skull , but he sighed and went on watching beside her , looking at least not as intimidating as his littermate ... Sure , he wasn't sure that bringing strangers into the camp was a good idea , but ... they did take them in , so really , Rosethorn should stop being such a hypocrite . They had a new life here , away from all the things she did . Why did she have to ruin it for him , too ?

Ash's ears twitched as a series of pops sounded behind him. Turning his head, he caught sight of a rather large she-cat. Her green eyes burrowed into him just as she floofed her hair up. Ash immediately disregarded the she-cat. One does not floof unless they either feel threatened or wish to threaten another.
Immediately afterwards Whiteshadow padded over. Telling Ash to follow him, it was difficult to be annoyed by the cat's easy going attitude. Resigning himself to it, Ash followed the tom. "Where is that we're going?"

l[I think Ash is currently 18 inches now, but should grow to be 19 inches within 12 moons)
[Oh shoot, I knew the he was big, but damn! Ash is HUGE!!! I've been using Maine Coon sizes for him though...]

"To meet our elder's. I'm tasking you with cleaning their den so Marshpaw doesn't have to," Whiteshadow blatantly told him. Looking over the tom noticed the huge, fluffed up she-cat. "Hey it looks like you've already made a friend. Look at that." He snickered at the two. Surely, the senior warrior was well beyond aware of the tension in the air. Would he try to confront it? No way, he would just make jokes out of it. Whiteshadow wasn't one to really care if he found himself in a fight, he's already lost a tail and a ear. Besides he was dealing with all outsiders here, none of them would dare to law a claw on a clan-born loyal senior warrior if they planned to stay.

(Yep, I just checked my Maine Coon stuff for Ash...he is a bloody huge cat, 18" tall, 48" from nose to tail, and he isn't even full grown...I want Rainfur to be a 5" cat!
Also, Rosethorn would still be small compared to Ash, right?)

Ash blinked as Whiteshadow made the comment about the other cat being a 'friend'. Was that what she was trying to convey? Maybe clan cats used floofing for this as well? Walking up to the she-cat, Ash's distinctive scent of cinders and brambleberries undoubtedly followed him. "Hey, would you like to help me with the Elder's den?" He wondered who the Elders were. If they were what he thought they were, then Ash would be glad to help clean their den.

Webtail to Froststar and Ash
Now that everything was sorted, Webtail padded up to Froststar. "Now that everything is...done, I still need to get some more herbs. I don't care if I go out on my own, but since my apprentice is not here, I would like to take an apprentice to carry them back. One that isn't overly talkative." He was aware that he was ignoring Ash and frankly, he didn't care. ((Ash it's not you it's him everybody will tell you that.))
Elkflight
The tom stood up and stretched slowly. Flicking his tail, he padded through the waning crowd and congratulated the new deputy before heading over to the nursery. He stuck his head in and checked for his nephew Wintercloud. Noting that the cat wasn't there, he pulled his head back out, concerned. He padded back over to the group. "Has anybody seen Wintercloud?"
Halfwhisker
She was still tired from before the meeting, so she let Elkflight leave before she sat up to groom herself. She had learned over the many moons how to avoid the scars where the fur never grew back, and was careful around the jagged edge of her bad ear and eye. She might socialize with the other cats, or head back to the elders den. She hadn't decided yet.

Sootfeather's 10", but'll grow a little bit more
Sparrowpaw's maybe 7" now and will grow to 9" or 10"
I have Sparrowpaw and Sootfeather open if anyone has a chara open }
