Puddlestep followed behind the warrior. She took a step behind her though when she saw the rogue. What was their leader doing? Bringing something as dangerous as a rogue into the camp.

Eagleflame heard Froststar's call for a Clan meeting, and quickly hurried over. He was worried, the atmosphere surrounding the camp feeling tense and uneasy. He hoped it wasn't anything too bad. He soon saw the rogue following their leader and his uneasiness amplified.

Dewpaw looked worried but he nodded. After soaking the moss he wrapped the injured paw in it and helped the she-cat to her feet "Be careful." he warned, watching her carefully. Deciding he would come back for the herbs later he left them in a pile near a tree and instead focused on supporting the injured cat beside him. Mosspelt nodded and slowly padded alongside the tom supporting herself on his shoulder. Soon they reached the edge of the camp. |

Froststar waited for his warriors to gather before he'd continue. The tom cleared his throat, "It is with my deepest regret to have to inform all of you, that today one of Echoshade's kits were lost to a fox." He started. It was risky of his to start such a meeting with a sensitive topic. "Patrols will be doubled and everyone will need to work together to try and make this camp safer. With leaf-bare on our heels, predators are bound to start wandering deeper into our territory." He yowled out. "I recommend no cat to leave this camp on their own." He paused to look over the others before he would continue.
"A stranger has joined us. As many of you might already be aware." He said, turning his blue gaze on Ash, "He will not be sharing a den with any of us until he has finished undergoing the basic training to become a Warrior. I, Robinwing, Whiteshadow, and Webtail will all take part in teaching him our customs." He said.
"Finally," Froststar said, "As a final announcement. I, Froststar, have finally came to a decision." He said, waiting a few moments and clearing his throat. He wanted to keep his warriors on the edge of their tails anyways. "I say these words before Starclan, that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice." He said, starting the words of the very famous ceremony. ".... The new deputy of Stormclan, is Dustwhisker!"

The Medicine Cat raised a brow in surprise. He was going to have to kindly remind his leader to clue him into these decisions before he was assigned to things. And he knew he would need to check the newcomer for fleas. He kept still, but rotated his shoulders in impatience. He needed to check on Echoshade and the kits soon, and his leader's injuries needed to be checked again. And where was the dumb father?
Elkflight
He cast a glance at the cats around, gauging their reactions. He couldn't blame them for being surprised, or distrust. He felt a pang of sadness at hearing the news on the kits. It was a sad event, and one that no mother should have to go through. He remembered the tragic loss of kits in the past, and no version of it was easier to deal with. "An interesting choice for deputy, but not one that we didn't see coming."
Halfwhisker
The she cat watched out of her good eye, looking over the newcomer. "Hmm...a mix of good and bad." The new deputy would be good, she thought. She brushed her shoulder against Elkflight's as she watched them all. It was tragic about the kit, but at least the majority of them were alive and well.

mosspelt made her way into camp her paw feeling slightly better already thanks the apprentices work. Noticing the gathering, Mosspelt waited sat by the edge of camp unsure of what to do next.
