"Sorry." she meowed "so much has happened in the past few days. Im just trying to process it all." she took a deep breath and decided she should take a chance. She needed someone to talk to. "He said he would be deciding if I would be a good fit to recomend staying in the clan. He said to try to impress him. But how can I do that with this messed up paw?" she flicked her ears at her wound.

[Sorry I was decorating my family's Christmas tree] Thornpaw twitched her whiskers, taking in what Mosspelt had said. "I don't think he's asking for a backflip or anything." She pointed out, looking around adn through the den entrance into the camp. "I would think he just means to hold your own?" She scratched her head with her forepaw for a bit as she tried to think of things Mosspelt could do with her paw so lame. "Perhaps you could help Webtail while you're in here?" She suggested suddenly. "Like simple tasks like sorting the dead, unusable leaves out of the herb piles." She looked around at Webtail's stores. "But I wouldn't do it without asking, some of his herbs need to be dead, apparently." She huffed as if looking back on some memory in her head. (no problem. That sounds like fun! I love christmas.) Mosspelt nodded "Thank you for the prey" she meowed as she took a bite. "So nobody has told me very much about your clan. Perhaps you can enlighten me?" |

Thornpaw shrugged her shoulders, watching the she cat eat. "StormClan's your basic run-of-the-mill clan, I suppose?" She meowed, trying to think back to her younger days when she was just learning about her culture. "Our territory is mostly a forest that borders a TwolegPlace and has some rivers and such." She listed off. "We believe in StarClan, we follow the basic warrior code." She looked around, what else could she tell Mosspelt. "Our leader is a big, white and grey tom named Froststar, not to be mixed up with his nearly identical brother..." She trailed off, thinking of a way to distinguish the two. "Froststar has a long tail, his brother, Whiteshadow has a bobtail." She said with a stern nod. "Our deputy, who you met earlier, is Dustwhisker. He's a bit of a hard-head, but he loves terrible jokes. Webtail and Dewpaw are our medicine cats. That's basically all you need to know right now, I think?" She tipped her head to the side thoughtfully. "What about your former clan? BraveClan? They sound cool."

Wintercloud sighed and sat up straighter, squaring his shoulders back. Even a tragedy like this didn't excuse him from his duties, or let him wallow in self pity. "Agree to disagree I suppose. I'll be fine, but I should let Dustwhisker or Froststar know I'm ready to go on patrol if needed." He was running away from his issues, but he needed to do something other than think about this right now. He nodded gratefully at her, appreciative of her attempts to comfort him.
