Family dynamics, sibling duos - something complex and complicated. Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty. . they've all been inspiration in these past few weeks. I'd love to do a plot focused on the pairing. As for genre: sci-fi, mystery, and horror. I've somewhat got something going for a wacky hotel with doors leading to alternate dimensions and a keeper of said hotel so - if you're interested - that's great. Just shoot me a message.
There is no restriction on joining. I only ask that you be dedicated to the development of our charries. This means time and description. It's quality over quantity. Also, I'd love if you'd be an active member in suggesting/forming plots and ideas. Alone, I'm not very good - I tend to take things god awful slow- so, if you could help, that'd be awesome.
I'm only accepting two or three and am perfectly fine working as a group on this rather than individuals.

We certainly don't need to pursue the hotel idea if you don't want to but here are some ideas. .
The hotel belongs to a widow. Her husband was the sole owner back in his day and passed it on to his wife. Along with the business he had a career in science. He was something of a genius in disguise. While his wife looked after the hotel he would perform experiments and whatnot around the neighboring house just across the street. He passed - or 'disappeared' - about ten years prior to the start of the roleplay.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Like, besides the hotel and house, there is nothing - not even trees- alongside the road. Just a murky desert that always seems to be on the verge of a storm. The vacancy sign on the hotel always reads 'no vacancy.' There are eight rooms maximum and their doors are always leading somewhere new each and everyday.
The widow lives with multiple guests, some that come and go as wanted. There's the weary traveler. He ventures through time and space, loosing a bit more of his sanity each time. He's become uncaring of his next big adventure and comes to the widow's house to kick up and relax whenever he can. He was supposed to be her son should she have ever had one but that was another time in another dimension. Her daughter and her two kids have also moved in with her. Recently divided by divorce, they're looking for a place to stay. Where else but Grandma's?

So, I pretty much described what all I have in my head in the second post. Other than that I was just thinking that they would go on adventures with their would be uncle/brother/son. None of them know that he's, in fact, related, since he keeps that tad bit of information to himself, but he visits so often and knows other dimensions and worlds so well that they feel comfortable traveling with him after a while. He's a reluctant tour guide basically, pressured into showing everyone around by the kids.
And as for schooling for the children, they go to a school in town and have to be driven to their bus stop everyday by their mother. At the start of the roleplay, though, they're on summer break.
Does this all sound okay? I was thinking about being the traveler. Did you have any idea on who you'd like to be?
EDIT: The rp would also start after the daughter and her kids move in. They've been living there for little more than a month. They know about the hotel and its interdimensional portals and about the traveler.

i read that as well, everything sounds good in that post!! so the plot would pretty much just be the family travelling through the dimensions?

Basically. I was thinking we could maybe start on the verge of it all. The kids are growing restless and know about the portals. They also know that ever so often a man appears from one - that man being their uncle. After one particularly boring day, they confront him. Immediately he's bombarded with questions and a request to enter one of the portals. He declines but they persist and after a week of nagging he allows them through. The mother and grandmother, meanwhile, are busy with work. The grandmother is tending to the house and hotel, and the mother is looking for a job in town. When she arrives home, she too is drawn into the adventure.

Yeah I read up on the plot and I'm trying to think of things that associate closely with it. Also yeah I can't remember how long it took me until I got over GF and like you and everyone else I eagerly await Rick and Morty's return cx
Oh uhm I was also thinking perhaps I could rp a friend of one of the kids who gets sucked into this as well? If not it's totally okay cx

@pattern: Ooh. I suppose it would help knowing the other kid's personality but ither would be interesting. The traveler's definitely going to be irate living with two obnoxious teens so I feel the rude and sarcastic one would cause a bit of humorous conflict but it would be cute to see the other agreeing with him ever so often. Like, him totally hating them and, despite everything, the sweet kid's still trying to be kind and all. Ah, I dunno. Really, it's whatever you want! I've just all the muse right now.
Nah. That actually seems like it'd be fun, snoozingfeline. It would also offer another perspective.
