Cassiopeia Rahim [ sovereign of the hemera, ark of the empire ]
A gorgeous woman. 5'7" tall and lean with figure filled out with muscle. Her skin is a rich dark brown gilded with deep golden undertones. Her hair is sectioned into dreadlocks, a classic style aboard the Hemera. If it weren't for her daughter, Rhea, Cassiopeia would have a claim to the title of the Hemera's most beautiful. Cassiopeia is not a figure to be trifled with. Her calm, composed exterior belies a storm. She hides her emotions well, masking ferocity beneath a carefully kept layer of dignified poise, a skill she spent decades honing to perfection.
Born an aristocrat, Cassiopeia walked the line between lady and warrior after she turned sixteen and began training with the guard. Her life has always been one dedicated to duty and etiquette. She can lie with a smile just as easily as she can break your arm.

JANUS VAN DOREN [ the eldest son]
As wan as Janus is you would think The Aether was running a major food shortage. Thin, tall (6'1) and pale, Jan could pass as a inexplicably pretentious beggar if dressed in common clothes and sent into the fifth level. His face is spattered with a thin layer of freckles (like stars, or dust). His face is distinguished by a Roman nose, sharp cheekbones, and gray-blue eyes. His hair is a muted ginger.
Regal and pensive, Janus carries himself with an aura of superiority. As the eldest royal child, Janus was raised to be a model citizen; always polite and charming, but with the cold undercurrent of a bred politician. Behind the put-together front, however, Janus must be one of the most confused people to ever live. As his life has mostly been laid out for him he was never able to form much of an identity beyond his role (because of his status his social circle was quite small) and lives in near-perpetual existential questioning. This internal instability makes him volatile and dramatic.

Charles Van Doren [ second son ]
brief appearance: He’s wholly boyish, at an average height with attractive features and bad luck to span across space and time. His figure is wiry but strong, having a slight tan that spans across his body with multiple discolored freckles that litter his skin likened to uncorrelated points on a plot. Naturally wavy chocolate tresses fall around his forehead, his eyes that are equivalent to chocolate, likened to soulless pits in the shadows and reflecting the natural light like a window to the space pockets and beyond. His nose is buttoned, and the bridge of it hosts a small scar from him accidentally smashing his face against the floor (it’s a story).
brief personality: Charlie is like an appendix: you can’t figure out exactly how he works but the feeling inside makes someone want to take him out (whether deck him in the face or on a date, you decide). As the youngest and final son, he’s overlooked slightly (but once they look they think he’s damn fine) and named after a long lineage of royalty who retained the heritage of Old Earth. To anyone in Charles Fitzgerald’s position, things may seem to be at an all-time low right about now. However, this doesn’t seem to damper the mood that often, leaving an unusually estranged royalty with pent-up energy and curiosity for the unknown, but exercises it in the form of attempting to build outrageous miniature contraptions and exploring. That said, Charlie takes on a more innocent and naive nature than most would expect from a royal member. He’s an awkward young man, but still incredibly brilliant in his own right. He has trouble with communication and oftens leaves in a rush of rosey cheeks and huffs when angry. His family is important to him, just as important as helping people if he can. He’s not afraid to stand up to someone, even if they are someone he believes in and vaguely looks up to (i.e. Older-Brother-Janus-VanDouche). He banters a lot, but apologizes afterwards. Tries too hard and is eager to please but often falls short of expectations. Sassy little mofo.

Rhea Rahim [ eldest princess of the hemera ]
A towering titaness of a woman, sculpted from the darkness between the stars with night rich skin and wearing her hair in even, onyx dark locks and eyes of the richest mahogany. Rhea is long and lean, standing at 6'3" every inch of her seems to be framed in corded muscle. Each of her features perfectly formed and smooth, from her broad nose to her soft lips.
Rhea can be very bold in her actions and believes in doing what is necessary for the greater good. She is cunning, but intelligent and wise. She carries herself with an air of confidence and determination. Rhea has the nature to be rather blunt. Deeply dedicated to her people.
Born the eldest daughter and princess of the Hemera has known the call of duty all her life. That does not make her spoiled or pampered, however, like her Mother Rhea is very much a warrior. Training since a young age her skills are as well-honed as her mind, since she has also been followed by a flock of tutors determined to sharpen her mind as much as her blade. ❝ 18 ❞

Virgo "yuga" Nishimura [ princess of the erebos ]
Virgo, known more commonly as Yuga, has very soft, child-like features, suggesting her to be younger than her twenty-three years would have you believe. Yuga's hair is cropped short and dyed silver-blonde, masking her naturally black hair beneath artificial colors. Her eyes are her sharpest feature, a brown color so dark it borders on black. She's an average girl, in both height and build. Nothing too skinny or big, short or tall, she tops out at 5'5".
Yuga is less like a pampered adult, and more akin to a spoiled child. Growing up as the only princess of the Erebos has very few downfalls. Since her birth, Yuga has been doted on by loyal servants, as well as her mother and aunts. Though she saw little of her father, he always made sure to send her expensive gifts as reassurance of his love and adoration for his little girl. It was a rare day indeed when Yuga felt want, or even need for that matter. Most people's first impressions of Yuga are that of a spoiled rich girl who knows little of independence and self-sufficiency, let alone the world and survival. She comes off as pampered and slow to learn about fending for herself without the constant vigilance of her serving staff. However, Yuga is sweet and good-natured, if not somewhat misguided.

Pluto Montgomery [ the second daughter]
brief appearance: Any who know Pluto are not deceived by her exterior. She might have grown into a princess by name and face, but her person is often more princely in nature. Her appearance is of little concern to her. But, the fact remains that how one looks to the world is of importance. Pluto is slightly taller than most women, and her figure is not exactly voluptuous. In fact, she has often joked (perhaps a bit proudly) that she has the body of a fourteen year old body. That is not exactly true (she lacks the shoulders and offers a bit more in the way of a small bust and hips). It is in her facial features that one can find her true femininity. Full lips, a narrow nose, and fine bone structure all lend themselves to her somewhat elegant façade (emphasis on façade). Her eyes are of a indistinct shade somewhere between blue, green, and gray. In the right light they are remarkably clear. but in most scenarios are mistaken for darker Pluto's hair is black in color. It is rather fine in texture and naturally straight. More often than not, it is in a loose bun at the nape of her neck, with a few rebellious locks escaping around her face. Stylistically, she has always valued practicality over beauty. Given her wealth, however, the items she owns are of fine cloth and make. She usually opts for something with masculine lines, with the only allusions to her womanhood being the many gold rings she wears on her fingers and the work done by her lady's features.
brief personality: Pluto's name is fitting on a number of levels, the first being that she is fiercely independent. Societal norms are of no use to her, and any so called social strengths of hers are pure coincidence. She, like the planet Pluto, orbits farther away from the center than most others. To be less philosophical, she's rather rebellious. The wishes of others are hardly a concern, unless those wishes belong to the few people she trusts and admires. Pluto acts almost completely on instinct. She is impatient and spontaneous and never particularly deliberate. To be fair to her, however, she is fiercely loyal to those who have earned her affection. Speaking of friendships, when the effort is put in, she makes friends rather quickly. Her honesty, humor, and mischief make her a rather charming companion. But not many pique her interest. The second level on which her name is fitting ties back to the god of the underworld in Roman lore, Pluto. Like him, she has a streak of darkness. She does not sensor herself for anyone, despite being rather articulate. And her main tactic for making friends is to tease them, which a sensitive soul might find rather brash. Some of her traits are more traditionally masculine: her independence, her decisiveness, her practicality. But she is also a balance of the classic feminine between her passion and her adaptability.

Philomena [ slum dweller ]
A scrawny twig of a thing, life in the Slums has hardened Philomena, sloughed the fat from her bones leaving her with only lean muscle padding wiry limbs. Philomena's hair is, arguably, her most notable feature. Thick, wild curls of rust fall just past her shoulders in a snarling tangle. She no longer bothers attempting to tame them, as that's a job only suited for the most determined.

Prometheus Rahim [ former eldest prince of the hemera ]
Breathtaking is an understatement for Prometheus. "Clever as the devil and twice as pretty" is the best way to surmise the existence of Prometheus. He's handsome, devilishly so, with deep copper-brown skin and long black hair. His features are all elegant planes and sweeping angles that draw attention to his obsidian-dark eyes. Prometheus possesses a tall (6'0"), wiry figure of sinewy muscles and lean strength.
As the eldest son, Theus embodies the best qualities of the Hemera: rugged beauty, intellectual and athletic prowess. He's smart, but easily bored with a habit for recklessness. A pampered life of luxury and ease has turned Theus into a thrill-seeker, an adrenaline junkie with an insatiable hunger. Being raised as the crown prince, Theus doesn't enjoy taking orders, but loves playing his part.
Everything he could ever ask for was handed to him on a silver platter (oftentimes literally), which sprouted a tendency for boredom within him. You could say that he grew habituated to want, things came too easily. There was rarely a challenge for him to overcome or excitement for him to feel. So he jumped ship (literally) and joined the crew of Lochlan Murienn. He's never regretted abandoning his duties as prince in favor of a life of rebellious freedom. But his new life is not without a price and his decision has earned him the disapproval, if not outright disownment, of his family and Ark. ❝ twenty-two ❞
