Petalfur narrowed her eyes playfully when the tom nudged her on the shoulder, making her take a few steps to the left. She looked ahead into the distance as well, watching the tree get slowly engulfed by the fog. "Well I mean it is hard to see through fog." She mewed matter of factually. Before nudged the tom with her shoulder too.Russetpelt chuckled as the two approached the hunting grounds. "We're here now... i think anyway." He squinted to recognise the place in the thick fog. He slowed to a stop before sniffing the air to tell if there were any prey nearby. |

Breezepaw wasn’t so sure he wanted to attempt that again, knowing his luck, he would trip again and fall face first into the river. But...if he didn’t he would look like some sort of coward and that was not an option, he wanted to show off what he could do. To Firepaw and his mentor, as well as Rowanstorm, who he always thought was a well respected warrior.
So, he gave his fur another shake in hopes of drying it, taking a few steps back as he dug his feet into the ground, staring at the other side of the stream as he ran towards it, leaping into the air as he jumped over it, landed on the other side-albeit slightly clumsily. However he had still done it, and once he was on the other side, he let out a purr of accomplishment, staring into the stream. “There, that wasn’t so hard,” he decided, giving a casual shrug like gesture as he took another step back, lashing his now damp tail about behind him as he looked to Firepaw...and to a lesser extent, the others, to see what they thought.

Puddleheart to Marshclaw

Puddleheart didn’t say anything as they walked, though it wasn’t like he could while he had all the herbs in his mouth. However he was listening, and nearly everything Marshclaw had said was surprising him. He couldn’t help but be a little tentative about it all, as well. He knew what his brother was capable of, he knew all too well just how far Marshclaw could go.
However...didn’t everyone deserve that second chance? Marshclaw had what he wanted now, he was deputy, and a well respected one among the clan. He could very well want to mend things now, it seemed plausible to Puddleheart. Especially when he considered how much better it would be if he could once again feel like he and Marshclaw were on the same side.
Finally, once he found a good place to drop the herbs, he spat them out, pushing some dirt over them to cover them up. “Marshclaw, there is nothing that I would want more, than to have my brother back,” Puddleheart started, focusing on the his task while he spoke. “I am wary though, I’m sure you can understand why,” he added, finally giving Marshclaw a glance. He paused again, looking him over.
Then, after a few moments, he relaxed a bit. “But, if you truly want to rekindle our relationship, I’d be happy to do the same,” he told him. Puddleheart was still a little unsure, even after he had confirmed he wanted that too. However, Marshclaw did seem genuine, and he had missed his brother. Maybe...maybe this would be a chance to help him as well, offer guidance as both a brother and a medicine cat. Yes, Puddleheart could do that.

The fox attack, as stated many times before, is happening once Breeze, Fire, Rowan and Beetle find the fox scent, and the group of foxes. It hasn't happened yet. ]
