The next quarter moon was busy, and hard for each camp. At the lower camp, cats were no longer diving. The shark was considered a cat-eater, having taken Kelppelt's life, and leaving nothing for the clan to bury. A false grave was dug so there hopefully somewhere she could rest. The cats there knew they had to do something to take care of the shark, but it was still unknown what.
The middle camp was reeling not only from the loss of Jadepaw, Darknight having stumbled upon her body when out searching for her the following day. Ravenfall, Hollowpaw, Flurryheart, Aurorastar and Violetbreeze stayed quiet. But to Darknight, it was quite clear who the culprit was. The former Deputy, Foxface, who had mysteriously disappeared that same night without a trace. Now, Darknight had been made Deputy, what he had wanted in the past.
Yet, he was still left to live in the lower camp, though there were rumors his mate, Galegust would be joining him soon enough. Because at the upper camp, two kits were missing. Cavekit and Hailkit were gone, perhaps swooped up by a hawk, owl, or eagle, and taken. Galegust was beside herself. More than anything, though, the she-cat had turned on poor, innocent Airkit. She blamed her former adoptive kit for her other two kits being lost, and she despised the kit now. Airkit and Emberkit were just a moon away from their apprenticeship, but it was unclear if the queen would even wait that long before moving. And now, the clan was still waiting for a Head Warrior to be chosen to help lead the clan and run the middle camp.

Aurorastar arrived in the middle camp around midday. Violetbreeze still remained in the middle camp at Aurorastar's request, but planned on returning today, so long as she was given permission. The leader was greeted cheerfully as she walked into camp, searching for sight of the cat she had come to see. She saw Flurryheart with her two adoptive kits, Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw, and padded over towards them.

Flurryheart had been telling her adopted kits stories of when she was younger. She stood when she noticed their leader approaching them, nudging the apprentices so they would turn around. Wolfpaw dipped his head respectfully when he saw Aurorastar while Hollowpaw stood squinting for a moment before doing the same as her brother.

Aurorastar smiled at the family. "Good afternoon," she said to the two apprentices. "I've spoken with your mentors, and they have decided it's time for you both to move to the upper camp," she spoke to the two cats. "I figured you would all travel back with myself and Violetbreeze today."

The apprentices eyes grew wide and they looked up at their mother, Wolfpaw grinning while Hollowpaw gave a small bounce. Flurryheart gave a light chuckle. "Well isn't this an interesting situation," she said, "I myself was planning on moving back to the upper camp any day now."

"Actually," Aurorastar began. "I wanted to speak with you about that," the leader said to Flurryheart, motioning her aside.

"I wanted to know," the leader started, "if you would become the clan's head warrior to take Darknight's spot now that he is deputy," Aurorastar questioned the younger she-cat. "You have proven your strength as a cat, leading your own kits to become independent despite their challenges. Hollowpaw has shown herself to be a natural caretaker and a great asset to the clan. I know that you will be to the clan as well, as you have gone out of your way to provide for others even in times of your deep pain for you," she spoke of the cat taking over mothering Hollowpaw and Wolfpaw when she lost her own litter. "You are the best cat I can think of for this position," she offered. Would the she-cat be willing to stay in the middle camp, though, especially with her kits leaving, and her other kit living in the lower camp?(So excited to see what Flurryheart does!!! Not sure if she'll take it or not! )

Well this is getting interesting0.0)) Delphapool sighed, sitting next to her mini garden. She had heard the news about the other camps, and it wasn't too good. The she cat stared at the plants, her gaze empty. "Such young kits....and Foxface....and Jadepaw....and Kelppelt....what a shame...." She muttered, shaking her head in disappointment.
Airkit sat in a corner next to the entrance of the cave. As the days passed, she started to get skinnier and skinnier, the playful gleam in her eyes getting duller because there was not Cavekit or Hailkit to play with. Her fur was still nice and tidy, covering up most of her change, but otherwise, she had become a strange kitten that really had nothing to do but stare at things.

Flurryheart was shocked by the offer. She was silent for a moment, trying to register what she had just been proposed, before opening her mouth to answer, then closing it again. She looked down, then tilted her head to the side as she thought. "It's... a great responsibility..." she pondered out loud.
(Oh my)

Oaktree padded over to Delphapool. "I thought I'd find you here," he said to her, having first come to her little garden. It seemed she spent most of her time here lately. "How are you?" he asked, his fur puffed out to protect from a cool breeze that came upon them.
Indigoleaf caught sight of little Airkit sitting alone. She often worried about her adoptive granddaughter now. The she-kit had been left basically abandoned by Galegust, as the distraught queen dealt with losing two kits and her daughter Jadepaw dying. Why hadn't Airkit gotten closer to Emberkit? And why didn't Galegust cling to the two kits she had left? "Hello, little one," the elder began when she sat next to Airkit. "Well, I guess I can't exactly call you little one anymore," she remarked. "You'll be an apprentice not too much longer!" she exclaimed. She noticed that the kit was getting thinner than she used to be...
Aurorastar nodded. "It certainly is. But I trust that you are more than capable of fulfilling that responsibility," she explained. "You'll be away from your kits. With everything the clan has faced the last quarter moon, I would prefer we not change too much around, and that you stay here in the middle camp, and Darknight in the lower camp. If you're interested, that is," she added.

Flurryheart nodded slowly, agreeing with Aurorastar's decision to leave most things as they are. She looked over at her kits, who were staring at her with curiosity in their eyes, then looked in the direction of the upper camp. She had longed to go back to it for moons, but she had also made many friends in the middle camp. At last she looked at her leader, a mix of worry and determination in her gaze. "I-It isn't as cold as the upper camp, but I have made many memories here. It has become my home, and I will do my best keep it safe."

Quick question: Is there anyway I can improve in the way I roleplay, or the way I use words? )) Airkit shrugged, "I guess...." She squeaked, her voice still high as ever. She nodded in a sarcastic enthusiastness. There wasn't much on her mind for her to say, so she just started staring at Indigoleaf.
Delphapool looked up to see Oakheart, "Hello, Oakheart." She mewed, "I'm doing quite well, thank you very much," she gestured with her tail for him to sit beside her. "What about you?" Delphapool asked. "I heard that you have started to have an obsession with grass..." She joked, waiting for the Tom's reaction.

Aurorastar nodded. "Thank you, Flurryheart. I pray that the need shouldn't arise, but if something should happen to Darknight, I trust you are more than capable of being my deputy, and you would also make a great leader to this clan. Thank you for your help," she said gratefully. "I will announce it to the camp before we leave, and send message to the lower camp. I will announce it at the upper camp upon our arrival." She dipped her head in respect to her new head warrior, and padded to the edge of camp where the tree stump was which was used to address the camp. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather!" she called.

(Of course not, Snow, you're awesome Everything seems fine to me!) "Are you alright?" the elder questioned the kit. Indigoleaf was looking for honesty. She knew something was troubling her granddaughter.
Oaktree rolled his eyes. "Why? Grass is nothing. Trees, perhaps. They help catch prey," he mentioned, looking up to a tree nearby. "Speaking of which...I hear a hawk."

(Personally, Snow, I think you are great at rolplaying. You're really good at putting emotion and personality into your characters.)
Flurryheart took a deep breath when Aurorastar padded away, letting it out slowly. She was trembling a bit, beginning to feel nervous, but she calmed herself when she heard her leader speak and made her way to the tree stump, sitting as close as she could to it. She was quickly followed by Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw as they tried to ask their mother what had happened, but she ignored their questions, hushing them. "You'll soon find out."

Yay:D ))
Delphapool shot up, her eyes widening,"A HAWK??!!" She began rotating her head in all sorts of directions.
"I'm perfectly fine!" Airkit snapped, then immediately regretting it and turning away. "I'm going to sleep...." She muttered, laying down onto the ground. "Sorry...." she murmured.

(Precisely! Honestly your posts are far more detailed than my own XD. I'm lazy especially when on my phone. I try to make sure my posts are better when I'm on my computer though, usually anyways)
Aurorastar called to the camp, "I have chosen a new head warrior to take Darknight's place, and that cat will be Flurryheart. I trust she will run this camp as Foxface did in the past, with optimism and kindness. She is a strong individual that any warrior, apprentice, queen, kit, and medicine-cat alike can look to for guidance. With that, I leave her here to aid you all." The leader stepped down from the stump, and looked to Hollowpaw, Wolfpaw, Zinniapetal, Heatherpelt, and Violetbreeze as they gathered.

Oaktree chuckled. "Chill out, Delphapool. You're not a kit anymore. Hawk can be good prey, depending on it's size, and with two of us hunting it."
Indigoleaf snapped, "No you will not. You haven't even eaten yet...Will you share a hare with me? I can't possibly eat it on my own...It's very plump. Perhaps you could see if Emberkit would care to share as well?" the elder questioned.
(I'm off to bed, but I'll be on in the morning!)

(Good night Turtle!)
Flurryheart stood and turned to look at the cats in the camp, shrinking back momentarily before standing tall. Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw dashed to their mother's side, squishing her between them as the pressed themselves against her on either side. "You'll do great," they murmured together before dashing back to the patrol of cats who were leaving to the upper camp.

Good night!))
Airkit shrugged, "Sure," she mewed. Personally, she wasn't that hungry, but if Indigoleaf said so, then she really couldn't say no. The kit stood up and headed off towards where she thought that Emberkit would be. "See you later."
Delphapool stopped, blushing in embarrassment. "I'm simply being excited for being able to catch a hawk. "They just taste very good!" She retorted.

(Here!!)
Oaktree chuckled. "If you say so. Now quite down before it hears us. I'll go up the tree and try to scare it down to you. Be ready to jump up," he reminded her. How many times before had she caught a hawk? he wondered. He hoped she wouldn't mess this up...A hawk could feed all the kits.
Emberkit was sitting outside the nursery, eyes watching the apprentices as they carried moss into the elders' den. Galegust wasn't even in camp, having gone out with a couple of warriors, still looking for her missing kits, though everyone knew she wouldn't find them. It had been too long.
Ravenfall watched Flurryheart. While she was happy for the she-cat, she couldn't help but feel hurt. Aurorastar had already replaced Foxface as deputy, when it hadn't even been more than a quarter moon. The she-cat was happy for the new head warrior, but something just didn't feel right. She honestly wasn't happy about Darknight becoming deputy, either. He already claimed to the whole clan that it clearly must have been Foxface's doing that Jadepaw was dead, which hurt Ravenfall, despite the fact that over half the clan didn't believe it. To a good majority, it seemed to be just a coincidence. Still... "So, Head Warrior, you going to organize your first patrol?" Moondust teased Flurryheart kindly, her pelt brimming with excitment. The psychic she-cat couldn't be more happy that Flurryheart had been chosen. She liked her for the position better than Darknight.

(Hello!)
Flurryheart gave a small hop. "O-Oh! A patrol. Right. Um." She looked around the camp, her gaze skimming over her clanmates.
(Question about the free to all cats. Am I allowed to just kind of throw them in there as a filler cat that just kind of exists for that purpose?)

(Yeah pretty much, we're probably going to kill them off. My thing about that is, the reason I keep them around is in the case of mentors- that's an issue. Like Heatherpelt having been Wolfpaw's mentor, it kind of leaves you at a loss when a member just up and leaves and now your cat doesn't have a mentor. That's another of my reasons for not deleting characters. It just leaves another member at a loss.)
Zincclaw was busy grooming just outside of the warriors' den. Moondust was waiting anxiously. Ravenfall sat watching.
Aurorastar led the group of cats towards the mountain territory. Zinnapetal was murmuring about herbs between the two territories as they walked to her apprentice. Aurorastar fell beside Wolfpaw. "How does it feel to be moving?" she asked the young apprentice. It surely must be strange knowing his sister had already been here, even for such a short time.
Brightpaw caught up with Flamesoul out of camp, and catching sight of him, began his way.

(Yeah, I understand what you mean.)
"Mm... Moondust, you can lead a patrol with Zincclaw, Ravenfall and Coalflare," Flurryheart finally said.
Hollowpaw listened to her mentor intently, taking in as much information as she could, occasionally looking around at her surroundings. She hadn't had much of a chance to do so the last time they made this trip.
Wolfpaw looked up at his leader, his eyes betraying his excitement. "It's interesting. I can't wait to see what the cats are like at the upper camp!" He paused, his excitement dying down a little. "But I am a little jealous of Hollowpaw." He glanced back at his sister.
Flamesoul was sniffing around for prey. With the sea out of the question, he figured it'd be a good idea to try to catch some land prey. He was heading in the direction of the middle camp, hoping to find something closer to the forest.

Zincclaw grumbled, "I don't think so. I've already been hunting twice. I'll do a border patrol," he let out. Moondust rolled her eyes at him. "We can go without him, Flurryheart."
Brightpaw began stalking Flamesoul, then jumped out of the reeds and pounced on him, giggling.
Aurorastar considered that. "Your sister is very brave. It almost seems as though she was meant to be a warrior," the leader remarked. "But alas, the spirits wanted her as a medicine cat, blessing her with her powers. You, in the other paw, must continue to focus on providing for the clan in your best way; as a warrior. There's nothing to be jealous of. Hollowpaw has big paw prints to fill as a medicine cat, and I know she could use your help."

Flurryheart narrowed her eyes a little, about to tell him otherwise, but sighed. "Alright, but you're leading a hunting patrol tomorrow. For now, take Spiritvoid and Rosefoot."
Flamesoul let out a startled yowl, falling flat on his belly as he was squished to the ground.
Wolfpaw thought of what Aurorastar said for a moment before nodding, a small smile appearing on his face. "I suppose you're right."

(Sry for poof phone died while I was on my walk -.- )
Moondust nodded. She was excited to be leading a patrol! Zincclaw was just mad because he wasn't the one leading it. She padded over to grab Spiritvoid. "Hey, we're going on a hunting patrol," she noted to the warrior.
Brightpaw laughed. "Gotcha. Hey, have you heard the news yet?" she asked with excitement.
The cats climbed the rocky slope and gained on the mountain top. Heading back down and into the valley before they reached the mountain that their camp's cave was, Aurorastar smiled upon seeing a hunting party in the valley. She pointed her tailtip in the direction of the fawn they were preparing to hunt, and stopped. "Take a look, Wolfpaw. Watch carefully."

Delphapool nodded eagerly, "Okay, sure!" She whispered as she hurriedly padded to the spot she wàs supposed to go to.
Airkit looked around, wondering where Emberkit was. "He should be here...." She murmured, then spotting him right outside the nursery. She ran towards him. "Emberkit!"
