-- hello there! i just thought i'd ask before i do anything for a role-play.
so, there's this halloween idea that i have that would be great for a role-play.
however, it's based off a game series that has an anime and... two manga, i
think now? but that's not my concern. my concern is if i would be allowed
to make a role-play based off of that as long as i kept it PG13? because i know
that the forums before were iffy and i'm still unsure completely of how things
work on here, so i would like some input as well as approval before i go ahead
and create this beautiful thing and then it turns out i can't do it. one too
many times on the old forums, aha...
the game franchise has a rather unappealing title, pun fully intended.
the franchise is called "Corpse Party" and is a survival horror-mystery type
of game, and i'm unsure of the rating, but i do know that the anime itself
is rated "R". thankfully (as i'm not a fan of the anime in any way), this is
based off the games, not the anime nor the manga. as i said, the role-play
would be based off of this game, not fully like it, as if i did, i know for a
fact that it would not be allowed on the forums.
the idea is that a group of high schoolers (for the most part) perform a
charm that keeps them all close together as friends. as long as you have
the charm, you're all meant to be friends and close to one another's heart.
however, the hidden catch is that if you perform this "charm" wrong, if
even one person does it wrong, you all are pulled down into a cursed
reality, a broken space where time is messed up in the three different
dimensions that one can enter into. this is the main area of the game,
the haunted setting of "Heavenly Host Elementary School". i say haunted
because this is a cursed place that you cannot escape without doing quite
drastic things, even after death. the ghosts of the past victims as well as
the four main souls that created the space and dimensions are all here
and most are restless, angry spirits who want revenge in some sort of
way, taking it out on the living. the school will slowly alter your mind
until it snaps and the school's dark energy takes over you for all eternity,
living or not. there can be brief times of clarity, but once a person falls
victim to what's called "The Darkening", you cannot be saved. the goal
of the game is to make it out with as many students alive (which is quite
difficult) as possible, though doing the wrong thing and having the wrong
character killed results in a "Wrong End". there are many endings to the
game and many to each chapter, however, there is only one true end for
every chapter played. you control the characters as they try to escape with
their friends, somehow staying alive when everything is out to kill them
in some sort of supernatural way. through the most useful duo (in my own
personal opinion) of kishinuma yoshiki and shinozaki ayumi, all the friends
are pulled back together into the same dimension, as they were all strewn
across the three different plains of existence, by appeasing the three small
ghosts of the children whom were murdered in the past. to escape the day
without it repeating, you need to appease the main child, sachiko. by doing
this, you will do the reverse of the charm that got you there in the proper
way of doing it and then everyone is transported back home. there's a lot
more that goes into the game, but i'll leave it at that.
so back to my main question. if i were to dull this down, make it a little...
less frightening and gory and such, to the point where it would be alright for
the title of "PG13", would i be allowed to make a role-play for this?
