EventClan The Celebrations Of The Clans! Introduction Your tail swished from side to side calmly as you padded through the forest. For some reason, right now, pumpkins littered the area, with strange faces carved into them. Black and orange pieces of paper on woven grass ropes hung from the trees, and many other scary decorations scattered the forest. You had no idea what was going on, but you, somehow, liked the atmosphere.
You came to a halt in a small clearing. You sniffed the air - another cat was around. Glancing from side to side, your gaze flicked around the area. Eventually, a large, yet slim and sleek, she-cat emerged from the bushes. She was a brown tabby, with bright green eyes. She had a small black-and-orange star-shaped marking on her forehead. "Hello." She mewed. "My name's Leafspook, leader of EventClan!"
You tilted your head in confusion. What was EventClan? "Oh, I'm sorry." Leafspook meowed. "You must not know what EventClan is. Many moons ago, we broke away from the original four Clans, so that we could celebrate the same holidays and events that Twolegs and Kittypets do, in peace. StarClan must have seen the spark of celebration in your heart, and guided you here. Do you want to join us? I'd be welcome to show you around!"
History Many moons ago, there was a pair of curious apprentices. One was named Streampaw. He was a silverish-blue-pelted tom, with bright green eyes, and he lived in RiverClan. The other was named Russetpaw. She was a warm, cinnamon-brown pelted she-cat, with sweet, amber eyes, and she lived in ThunderClan. The pair were best friends, despite the fact that they were living in different Clans. One day, at a gathering, they met a new apprentice from WindClan, named Tigerpaw. He was a young, shy, brown tabby tom, with bright green eyes, just as bright as Streampaw's. The pair became a trio, and the WindClan apprentice was quickly integrated into the friendship.
One day, Streampaw said that he had heard of something going on in the Twoleg hut nearby to the lake, in RiverClan's territory. The Twolegs were doing something weird - they were putting pumpkins and black-and-orange things around the hut, and there was a strange, white, bony thing outside the hut, which kind of looked like a Twoleg, but it never moved. The trio decided to go and investigate. So, one leaf-fall night, Streampaw, Russetpaw, and Tigerpaw went to examine these goings-on.
They were amazed at what they found - A Kittypet named Marley told them all about this Twoleg celebration named "Halloween". The trio loved the whole idea of it - so much, they decided to tell the Clans about it! However, the only cat who didn't laugh at them and scorn them was a ShadowClan apprentice named Mossypaw. He was a pure black tom, with a sleek, soft pelt, and resonant, crystal-blue eyes. Mossypaw became part of the group, and they kept their amazement with Twoleg celebrations to themselves.
Over the next four seasons, the group observed the holidays that Twolegs and Kittypets would celebrate, and, each time one passed, they would become more and more entranced. Over this period, the four apprentices got their warrior names. Streampaw became Streampebble, Russetpaw become Russetfang, Tigerpaw became Tigerleaf, and Mossypaw became Mossyshadow.
One day, the four young warriors had had enough. Joining together, they left their respective Clans, each followed by a small group of cats from each of their Clans, each of which had decided to start celebrating the holidays along with them. Streampebble, Russetfang, Tigerleaf, and Mossyshadow came together in a huge forest, at the bottom of an immense mountain range, to form EventClan.
About a quarter-moon later, StarClan contacted the four leaders. They said that Streampebble, Russetfang, Tigerleaf, and Mossyshadow had made the right choice, and StarClan validated EventClan as a full, official Clan. However, StarClan asked of one thing. EventClan's leaders were not to bear the -star suffix. Instead, the leader's suffix would change with the seasons. It would be something to do with each holiday, as it passes. When there was not a holiday to celebrate, only then would leaders have the -star suffix in their name. However, not having a holiday to celebrate is a very rare occasion, to the leaders only really bear the -star suffix for about a quarter-moon in total each year.
And, so, they decided that in the middle of leaf-fall, each year, EventClan's birthday would be celebrated. Streamcake, Russetballoon, Tigerstreamer, and Mossypresent, as they were known when they were first leaders, founded EventClan. And the celebrating's been going on ever since!

Traditions As the history and intro explained, EventClan celebrates all of the same holidays that you and I do! Holidays are very important to EventClan. They celebrate with gusto, decorating, loving, and laughing. The leader's suffixes change according to the holiday - for example, around Valentine's Day, they might have the suffix -love, or -flower. But, around Christmas, for example, their suffix might be -Santa, -stocking, -cracker, or -reindeer. The leaders also have small stars on their foreheads, which change colour according to the holiday. For example, at Easter, it would be brightly coloured, at EventClan's birthday, it would be pink-and-yellow, with a small picture of a present, at Halloween, it would be black-and-orange, or at Christmas, it would be red-and-green.
Here is a list of all the holidays that EventClan celebrates, their real-world dates, and how EventClan celebrates them. Please note that if I've missed out any holidays that you, personally, observe, and feel that some EventClan cats would, feel free to PM me, and say so! Also, I'm from the UK and don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I put it on the list, because I know that there are many Americans on here. So, if I've got Thanksgiving completely wrong, please say so!
New Year's Eve/Day December 30/January 1 EventClan celebrates the coming of the new year by eating prey, and eating small amounts of fermented fruit. Apparently, cats tend to act strangely after eating lots of fermented fruit, and can sometimes get ill if they eat too much, but the medicine cats are trained to deal with this, and it tastes nice! Despite this, kits under four moons old aren't allowed to eat this fermented fruit.
During the countdown to midnight, all of EventClan will gather at a high-up place, usually high in the mountain range which is behind EventClan's forest, and counts down to midnight. When midnight hits, the cats will return to camp, before, basically, partying their socks off until dawn! Many cats in EventClan treat New Year's as a time for new starts in life - fights will often end around this time, kits are often conceived or born, and many cats make New Year's Resolutions, in order to make themselves better parts of the Clan. The leader's star will change to blue and silver during this time. There is a special leader suffix.
Valentine's Day February 14 This is a day for love and affection among EventClan cats. Mates will often get together, and kits will often be conceived during this time. Mates and courting cats will present each other will presents, and cats will often give their crushes and/or true loves presents during this time. The leader's star will morph into a red heart during this time. There is a special leader suffix.
Pancake Day February 28 During this time, cats of EventClan will attempt to steal pancakes from Twolegs and Twoleg nests, bringing them back to camp to eat with honey. The cats without a sweet tooth will hunt feasts of prey to eat, or go out to search for catnip, and other nice-tasting herbs to eat. The leader's star will be golden-brown during this time. The only special leader suffix is -pancake.
Mother's Day March 26 This is the day when all cats in EventClan honour their mothers. All queens in the nursery will receive gifts from the whole Clan, and many cats will give individual gifts to their mothers. Litters of kits will often band together to give their mothers gifts, and there is often much friendly quarrelling among siblings over who gave their mothers the best gifts. The leader's star is their mother's pelt colour during this time. There is only a special leader suffix if the leader is a she-cat, in which case, the suffix will only ever be -mother.
Easter Day Floating Date During this time, EventClan cats celebrate the coming of spring. Cats will weave each other flower crowns, eat honey, and decorate eggs stolen from bird's nests to hide, and for the kits to find. Cats will tell kits and young apprentices about the Easter Bunny, and, a few days before Easter, a group of Kittypets will deliver special, cat-safe sweets and chocolates to the Clan for them to eat.
On Easter morning, kits will wake up to find a few of these sweets and chocolates hidden in their nests, along with prey, honey, and catnip. Having no other explanation for this, the kits and young apprentices put it down to the Easter Bunny. On Easter day, Easter egg hunts and games are often played, and the entire Clan will have a feast of prey, honey, the cat-safe sweets and chocolates, eggs, and catnip. The leader's star is brightly multicoloured during this time. There is a special leader suffix.
Father's Day June 18 This is the day when all cats in EventClan honour their fathers. All fathers of the current kits in the nursery will receive gifts from the whole Clan, and many cats will give individual gifts to their fathers. Litters of kits will often band together to give their fathers gifts, and there is often much friendly quarrelling among siblings over who gave their fathers the best gifts. The leader's star is their father's pelt colour during this time. There is only a special leader suffix if the leader is a tom, in which case, the suffix will only ever be -father.
The Fourth Of July July 4 This is a pretty crazy holiday for EventClan. Kittypets from the Twolegplace will deliver fireworks to the Clan, which will be fired on the day. Special flags are flown around this time, from the trees around camp, and in the forest. The day is a day of freedom for certain Twolegs, which the Kittypets call "Americans". It's generally a day of happiness for all, and all cats in the Clan get the day off to relax, and spend time with their families.
EventClan's Birthday August 12 On this day, EventClan cats celebrate when their Clan was founded. They give each other gifts, and Kittypets deliver party hats, cat-safe cake, party poppers, streamers, and other party paraphernalia to the Clan. During the lead-up, the Clan will decorate the camp and forest with streamers, bunting, banners, and other decorations.
On the day, the Clan eats a feast of prey, honey, catnip, cat-safe sweets and chocolates, finishing off with cat-safe cake, and singing "Happy Birthday" to the Clan. Games are played, songs are sung, and all the cats generally just have a good time! The leader's star will be brightly coloured, with a small picture of a present on it during this time. There is a special leader suffix. Halloween October 31 On this day, EventClan cats dedicate their time to pranking one another. Cats will decorate by carving pumpkins and putting up spooky decorations, and it's rumoured that during the month of October, the leader can call a strange, thick fog or mist in over the forest. Cats will often dress up in costumes, both spooky, scary costumes, or just dressing up as cats from the past, or cats from stories. On Halloween day, kits and young apprentices will be escorted around the forest by some older warriors, collecting prey, catnip, honey, pebbles, mossballs, cat-safe sweets and chocolates, and other treats, from cats stationed in different areas around the forest.
The kits and young apprentices wear costumes, and will weave grass bags, or get spookier bags delivered by Kittypets from the Twolegplace to carry their treats in. Some cats continue trick-or-treating into early warriorhood, but most stop by the time they are approaching their warrior assessment. The cats that don't trick-or-treat will often celebrate Halloween by pranking each other! The leader's star will be black-and-orange during this time. There is a special leader suffix.
Guy Fawke's Night November 5 On this day, cats will set fire to large bonfires of fallen leaves and timber with burning sticks, often with a life-size model of a cat on the top. Older kits and young apprentices will often go around the Clan, asking for tufts of fur to put on the model, or for "A tuft for the Guy". Kittypets will deliver toffee apples, cinder toffee, and fireworks to the Clan, and the senior warriors, the leader, and the deputy will set these off for the Clan, all whilst the medicine cat stands by on watch. There is only one significant, official firework display that the whole Clan attends, but many cats will put on their own. There is a large amount of burns and other injuries sustained during this time, because unknowing cats and reckless apprentices injured themselves whilst firing off fireworks, or starting bonfires. The leader's star is a warm, fire-red colour during this time. There is a special leader suffix.
Thanksgiving The Fourth Thursday Of November During this time, EventClan cats will start collecting prey, catnip, honey, and other foods for the Thanksgiving dinner. Older apprentices and young warriors, more specifically, cats between the age of ten and sixteen moons old, will travel to the Twolegplace to hunt Turkeys from Twoleg farms, and will pick up pumpkin pies from Kittypets. On the day, EventClan will eat the feast that they have collected over the few weeks prior to the event, give each other gifts, play games, sing songs, and, generally, just have a good time! The leader's star is blue, white, and red striped during this time. There is a special leader suffix.
Christmas December 25 Christmas is one of the most important holidays to EventClan. In the last few days of November, Kittypets will deliver advent calendars to the Clan - one for every cat who wants one. They will also deliver cat-safe sweets, chocolates, Christmas cakes, Christmas puddings, mince pies, and other traditional Christmas food. They will also deliver decorations, crackers, wrapping paper, etc.
On the first of December onwards, cats will open one advent calendar door per day, of their own advent calendar. They will decorate the camp and forest with traditional Christmas decorations such as holly, wreaths, tinsel, and other decorations. The entire Clan will help to collect and erect a huge pine tree in the middle of camp, which EventClan will then decorate as a whole, with a special, golden star on the top, covered in glitter. This is the same star that has been used at every Christmas since EventClan's founding, and is stored in the leader's den when not in use, unlike other decorations, which have their own storage location. Sometimes, cats will go carolling, by singing songs in different places in the camp and surrounding forests!
Cats will gather presents for their loved ones, and kits and young apprentices will be given presents by the entire Clan. It often snows during this time, and if two cats are caught together under the mistletoe, it is a tradition that they lick each other on the cheek - the cat version of kissing. However, this can be refused. Kits will be told about Santa Claus - a white-pelted, long-furred cat that lives in a far-off, snowy place, which is said by Kittypets to be called The North Pole. He lives there with his helpers, and delivers presents to good kits. On Christmas Eve night, Santa will fly on his sleigh with his nine reindeer - Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph, who has a bright red nose! - to deliver presents to good kits around the world! The kits tell the leader, deputy, medicine cat, or visiting Kittypets about what they want for Christmas, and they'll relay this information to Santa Claus, so that the kits can get presents on Christmas day!
On Christmas Eve, the kits and young apprentices go to bed early, so that Santa Claus will deliver their presents. On Christmas Day, the kits and young apprentice's presents from Santa Claus will be tucked into their nests, but all presents from friends and family for the other cats will be underneath the tree, addressed with who it's from, and who it's to. The Clan will play games, sing songs, and generally have fun until midday, when EventClan will tuck into the feast of prey, honey, catnip, fermented fruit, and Christmas goodies that they've prepared over the weeks leading up to December 25th. After the feast, the leader will make a Christmas speech from the Highrock. After the speech, EventClan usually have a long walk in the woods, before returning to camp. After this, the entire Clan will play games, sing songs, entertain themselves with their presents, and generally have fun until late in the night!
The leader's star is red-and-green during this time. There is a special leader suffix.

Territory EventClan lives in a huge forest, at the bottom of an immense mountain range. The forest is mostly oak, birch, maple, rowan, redwood, pine, spruce, and willow trees, and has several streams, one large river, and a few small creeks, but only one large lake. The forest has many flowers in it, and is often considered very beautiful during newleaf and greenleaf. The mountain range is immense and towering, and has snow on many of the peaks. EventClan only really goes there if it absolutely has to, or at New Year's.
Landmarks The Willow River: The large river running through EventClan's territory. It has rapids in several places, and younger apprentices are warned against fishing there. Tiger Lake: The large lake nearby to EventClan's camp. The waters there are calm and still, and good for fishing. The Misty Stream: A small stream running down from the mountains. Medicine cats often come here for fresh water for their patients. Lynxshadow's Creek: A small creek towards the south-west of EventClan's camp, which has many herbs growing along its banks. It's named after a young warrior named Lynxshadow, who discovered it in EventClan's youth. The Lily Clearing: A clearing towards the north-east corner of EventClan's territory, which is normally filled with lilies, and other flowers. A great place to hunt. Owl Rock: A large rock to the south-east corner of EventClan's territory. The rock has scorch marks on it from a long-ago forest fire, and owls generally hang around here, in order to hunt the mice and voles that live in this area. The Wind-Wishing Maple: A maple tree, north and very slightly west of EventClan's camp. The wind blows through its branches, creating a rustling noise. This noise scares away animals other than the EventClan cats, so if a non-cat animal appears under the Wind-Wishing Maple whilst the wind is blowing through its branches, it's traditional to make a wish.
Camp EventClan's camp is situated more-or-less in the centre of its territory. It is a large-ish clearing, bordered by thick trees. It has a sandy floor, weathered by generations of cats treading on it, and a small stream runs through the centre. Flowers spring up towards the edges in the warmer seasons.
Leader's Den: The leader's den is a smallish-medium den in the top of a tree, with safety barriers woven out of willow twigs and ferns around it. There is room for up to four or five cats inside. From the den, a cat can jump to the Highrock. The den is situated right at the back of the camp, opposite to the entrance. The Highrock: A large rock, just to the side of the leader's den. The leader will stand here to call a Clan meeting, do ceremonies, or make announcements. Medicine Cat's Den: A large, bramble-woven den, just to the left of the Highrock. It has plenty of nooks and crannies to store herbs and berries in, and can fit in up to seven or eight cats. Warrior's Den: A large den, woven out of bracken, brambles, and willow twigs. It can be enlarged if needed, and it's situated just to the right of the camp entrance. Apprentice's Den: The apprentice's den is a medium-sized hollow, situated just next to the warrior's den. Without nests, the bottom of the hollow is soft and sandy, and some apprentices go without nests altogether. The Nursery: The nursery is a medium-to-large den, woven out of brambles, bracken, ferns, and willow branches. It's situated just to the right of the Highrock. The floor is very soft and sandy, like the apprentice's den, which is perfect for little paws to play on! There's room for up to six or seven fully-grown cats inside. The Elder's Den: A large-ish, sandy hollow, situated just in between the apprentice's den, and the medicine cat's den. There's room for up to seven or eight cats inside, and it's been sealed carefully, to ensure that there are no draughts. The Pantry: Where special food for holidays is kept. It's situated just to the right of the nursery. The Storage Den: Where decorations for holidays are kept. It's situated just in between the pantry, and the entrance to the camp. The Fresh-Kill Pile: A large-ish pile of prey, just next to the stream that flows through camp, in about the centre of camp. Where normal fresh-kill is kept. The Lookout Rock: Not technically part of the camp, but there is a large, tall rock just outside camp. In times of danger, a cat is stationed here as a lookout at all times.
The Twolegplace Just outside EventClan's territory, there is a large Twolegplace, where many Kittypets, Rogues, and Loners live. EventClan keeps a close, friendly relationship with the Kittypets, as the Clan relies on them for many elements of their holiday celebrations.
The Moon Crystal Right up in the mountains, at the very tip of the nearest peak, there is a small tunnel entrance. If you go down this tunnel, you will eventually come to a large cave, with a huge, blue crystal in the centre. It pulsates with light, lighting up the entire cave. This is the Moon Crystal - where EventClan communicates with StarClan. Touch your nose to the crystal, and then fall asleep, and StarClan will be with you.
Next Medicine Cat Gathering: 12th Of October The Gathering Oak Just to the south of EventClan's camp, there is a large oak. Once a moon, EventClan gathers here, to yowl their news to the stars. This is also the time when issues will be sorted through, and questions will be answered.
Next Gathering: 4th Of November

Shadedpelt yawned as he climbed out of the den he was in, starting his morning humming of "My Shot" as he padded toward the fresh-kill pile. He'd been trick-or-treating with the kits ever since he joined the clan. Nowadays, it was mainly to make sure the younger kits stayed safe.

Shadedpelt turned back around. Should I offer help? is conflicting emotions argued before he went with his morality and padded toward Tawnyfur.
