*Ɗαɾƙρσσℓ* ;; Same here. :\ My worry is that I won't get anything done because of school. Heck, I might write just over the weekend for 5+ hours to get it done. Or stay up really late and write it then.

@battlingfear yeah the second set of semester midterms are about to start for me so I'm not too happy about that coinciding with the start of nano. I'm prolly going to be writing early morning/super late at night. Or I'll do a whole week's worth of writing on my one free day lol I did something similar last year where I won by writing like 7000 words a day for the last week. Deadline panic can be effective sometimes. But I feel like since I've done it once, it shouldn't be so hard this time around. Especially since I started early with the outline and I already have enough chapters mapped out for every day of the month. I just don't have the climax/ending outlined and its making me nervous even though I have a general idea of how I want to resolve the story.

Hey, guys! =3 Wow. o.o You all have outlines mapped out and stuff.
I've actually already started writing. XD I'll only be a few chapters in by time NaNo starts, so I'll probably just rewrite those chapters and count the rewritten words, I guess? I couldn't wait! I'm basing it off a book I wrote about five years ago, but it's already turned so far from that book that it might as well be a completely different one.

Not everyone outlines, that's why we have the whole pantsers/planners thing I tend to work best if I have a loose outline to go off of but overplanning is just as much my enemy as underpreparing tbh it's kind of a careful balance of detailed enough to know where I'm heading but non-specific enough to allow for natural twists and character development.
And I also have a few scenes already written! They're mostly just snippets of interactions to get a feel for my characters before I start nano but they're prolly gonna end up in the finished product too.

I've been working all evening on my outline, and so far it looks like I'm in for a very long NaNo. I've got 30 chapters planned, and while I've only got about five fully outlined they look consistently more than 2000 words each, so if I want to get this done in November I'll be doing a lot of writing. I'm really behind in my outline but I'm hoping to get that done tomorrow so that I don't have to spend time planning during November, since I rely a lot on my outline while I write.

Looks like I'll be a panster this year. I have the prologue and some main characters/a few ideas planned out, but that's it. Then it'll just be a mad dash to make up missed writing on Wednesday + Sunday.
Good luck to everyone participating !!

I didn't get any writing done. Wednesdays are horrible for me, because I have a lot going on. I plan to make up for it today. I did get some writing done this morning.

I'm actually doing really well
I started off slow but now I'm writing a little over 2,000 words a day, and I'm hoping to catch up quickly(although I'm still only halfway to 10,000... rip). I'm really excited for my plot to get rolling though, and I haven't even finished the first chapter yet.
How's everyone else doing?

I'm doing much better this month than I thought. I'm at a little over 20k words right now, and am consistently writing a 3k word chapter per day, which I'm really surprised by. This novel is going much smoother than I expected, so I'm looking forward to seeing if I can finish it in the month.

I've fallen so far behind due to school and work :/ Same here. It's been a struggle. At this point, my goal is to at least hit 25k words by the 16th, then go from there.

You can all do it! And writing is still writing, no matter how much you get done.

I've been writing erratically but I haven't been updating my word count on the site and at this point I'm not sure how much I write per day especially since most of my writing is done in the middle of the night and idk what day to count it under

I had a much more successful NaNoWriMo than I expected! I ended up writing over twice the word count goal with 117,000 words, and I'm not entirely sure how I managed to do it, but it did involve me writing over twelve thousand words yesterday. And my hand has been cramping on and off all day, which is no less than I expected, haha.
