Ari had just turned to head back to the castle when Becca walked out of the building right next to him. "Oh, it's the flower thief," he said, smirking. "You didn't end up going to the ball?" he asked, though as the words left his mouth he narrowed his eyes. Something felt familiar, aside from the fact that they had spoken before.

"Nah, I'm starting to like flower thief. It has a nice ring to it," Ari said, a playful smirk on his face. "But still, I'm impressed you could stand to hang around all those stuffy high class people. In my opinion the food was the second best thing about it."

The question caught Ari off-guard and his cheeks flushed a little, but he tried to play it off. "Oh? Were you watching me along with my brother? Could someone be a little jealous?" he replied.
Oh Ari, if only you were a little more observant xD]]

"I'm not grumpy," Ari responded. He gave a brief wave over his shoulder to Becca as he started to leave, but suddenly stopped and turned on his heel. "Wait, how do you I'm looking for her? I never mentioned it, and we were alone when she ran off," he said, narrowing his eyes.

"I could be just taking a walk to get some fresh air," Ari snapped back. He turned around and resumed his walk back to the castle. He walked in silence, but just before he was out of earshot of Becca he held up the mask but didn't turn around. "Well, if you know her, tell her she looked better than any of those rich ladies alright?" With that he put the mask back in his pocket and hurried up the hill.
I'm gonna be a bit poofy]]

Almost, he has about 3/4 of a face xD ]] I was drawing at an angle and realized yesterday all his proportions were way too stretched out so he has to be redone xD]]
Ari quietly reentered the ballroom and was met by a grinning Aaron waiting at his post. "And the Casanova returns! So~~? Did you find her?" he asked, stepping to the side. "Why should I tell you?" Ari snapped, trying to look irritated but he ended up smirking. "Wow, and here I thought we were friends. Now there's nothing stopping me from telling EVERYONE about that spectacular fall you did on the dance floor," the blond teased, only to end up getting smacked on the shoulder.

Ari had been awake since the sun had risen, and was currently standing guard at the outer castle gate. He yawned and looked at the ever brightening horizon, faint dark circles under his eyes. "I bet we're the only ones awake in the whole castle right now," he complained, glancing to his friend.
"Hey, at least you have some good memories of last night to cheer you up. I have nothing. I didn't even get any of the cookies!" Aaron whined. "And wait, you're the captain of the guard... shouldn't you have some control over the shifts??"

In the midst of lamenting over the cookies, Aaron happened to look up and notice someone standing on one of the nearby hills. "Looks like we have a visitor," he said, pointing to Becca.
Ari gave a little jump at his friend's voice, as he had almost drifted off into sleep, and followed Aaron's finger. "Oh, it's the flower thief!" he exclaimed, but not loud enough to wake everyone in the castle.

xD]]
"I told you, the name's sticking!" Ari sent back, smirking. The look she gave him took him aback for a moment but he brushed it off, not wanting either Becca or Aaron to question it. "Careful in those woods by the way, even in the daytime they're dangerous!" he called. "On the other hand, if the bears get you that'll be one less flower thief to worry about."
"Aww look at that, you guys already have pet names for each other. How sweet~" Aaron said, dramatically batting his eyelashes. "Though there are much better ones you could've picked." He shook his head disapprovingly.
"What are you talking about?" Ari asked, giving the knight a look.

"Yeah right!" Ari yelled back. There was a light hiss of metal on metal and Ari turned to see his friend with sword fully unsheathed and shield held up protectively. "Aaron, really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "What? Like it didn't scare you either!" Aaron snapped back. He was looking down at Ari's hands, which were tightly gripping the hilt of his sword.

"You should go check it out," Aaron urged, standing close behind Ari. "It won't be good if a citizen is lost on our watch. Seriously. Go see if she's ok," he continued urging, giving the other knight a nudge.
"Fine. Stay here I guess," Ari said with a sigh. He unsheathed his sword and approached the forest, not looking very worried.

"Alright, I know you're behind one of these trees flower thief," Ari called. He wasn't careful of how quietly his footfalls landed on the ground as he swerved through the trees, sword slowly swinging in his hand. "I just don't know which one..."

Ari stood straight up and let out a surprised grunt. He spun around and jumped back, holding his sword out. "You!" he snapped. "Don't sneak up on a knight like that, you almost lost your head just now," he sighed. "It was a good thing I was expecting you." he added, an attempt at covering the fact that she had in fact startled him.

"I am not!" Ari retorted. He sheathed his sword and let out a sigh before crossing his arms. "So? What're you doing in the forest like this? I highly doubt it was to just pretend to be a bear," he went on, smirking a little at the end.
