I lurked there a lot but there was a period that i was super active in the old forum! I hadn't been on for over a year when i realized it seemingly disappeared.
So what is the story with that? why did it disappear or get deleted?
im super glad you guys have a successful move though! I use to moderate a forum that was one of the most active WC forums at the time but we jumped forums, we never fully recovered our activity because a lot of our ads didn't change the URL!

Long story short, Hoop.la and Harper Collins decided that the old forums didn’t need to be around because “technology is changing” or something similar to that; my memory isn’t the best.
It’s more than likely because they didn’t have enough money to keep the site up and running, so they got rid of it. That’s the reason why this place exists.
Surprisingly, the move has been successful though there’s always bumps in the road. We’ve been on ProBoards for a year now.

huh, what a weird reason. but i'm assuming that your theory is right.
i think the move was a good decision on your part! i like how this one is run and proboards seems much more organized than whatever the last forum was held on!

It's a weird reason indeed. I can only wonder what they were thinking to use as an excuse.
Thank you! ProBoards is more organized, just sometimes complicated when it comes to their servers. Nonetheless, it beats Hoop.la (the old site of wcf) any day.
