Mitsuo led Shimizu down the alleys and stopped at a rack lined with bowling balls of different colors and patterns. "You hold them with three fingers here, here, and here," he said, pointing to the holes on top. "They're all heavy but some are less heavy than others. Just keep picking them up until you find one that feels right. Oh, and don't get your fingers stuck."

Mitsuo had just picked up a ball and was feeling it out as he turned back around to answer Shimizu. He stared at the other kitsune a moment before letting out a disappointed sigh. "I said don't get your fingers stuck. And here I thought kitsune were s'posed to have good hearing," he muttered. "Be careful, if you try and force your fingers out you'll break 'em."
Getting my fingers stuck in a bowling ball used to be one of my biggest fears xD]]

"I certainly hope so," Ari murmured. As the bell rang he checked the contents of the bag slung over his shoulder to make sure he still had everything before he turned to Kura. "This is where we part ways, see you after school. And try not to get lost on your way to class."
"Huh? Like that'll ever happen!" Kura snapped before rushing off to the school building.

Shimizu whined quietly, trying to get his fingers out of the holes. "I-I was paying more attention to the bowling balls!" he said back to Mitsuo, and his eyes became large. "I-I'll break them?!" he gasped, gently sitting down with the bowling ball and gently trying to pull his fingers out. "H-Help!!"
(I only bowl with the mini bowling balls cx But if I did bowl with the bigger ones, it would be one of my fears cx)

Mitsuo put down the bowling ball he was holding and rushed over to Shimizu. "Calm down! Freaking out like that won't do anything!" he said. "Just slowly wiggle them. Or twist them. Just don't try and yank them out," he instructed.

Ari and Maki waved back to Rick as they got up and made their way to their classes. Looking at his schedule Ari saw he had P.E. next. He headed to the gym, hoping it would be some kind of training.

Rick looked to his planner and saw that PE was also on his schedule. His shoulders sagged and he rolled his eyes. I don't get it. Why do I have to do this? He thought. He'd already been through four years of this. Why did he have to go through it again. He pushed open the gymnasium doors and looked around. The room was bigger than he thought it would be, having come from a school even smaller than this one. He sighed resentfully, already bored.

"I hope you learned to not just rush into things," he said, shaking his head slightly. Once that stopped his eyes drifted to the clock on the wall and he narrowed his eyes. "Hey... you know what time classes start after lunch?" he asked. ~~~ Petri the Pancake: "Let's hope so," Ari replied, quieting down now that the teacher had just walked in. Most of the students started moving closer to where the teacher stood, but Ari stayed hanging around the back of the group. "Good afternoon class," the teacher called out. "Today we're starting out by doing some physical tests. I want to see where everyone is at. This includes giving your powers a quick demonstration. Speaking of powers, you can't use them for any of the tests." |
