"Yes it was, and don't feel bad it was half a life-time ago." Hamish shrugged, not having any bad feelings about it other than a bit of disappointment. "Are you still gettin' used to being wolfish?" He asked. "Hmm." Ravyn looked down at her own hands as she thought about it. "I think I'm getting more and more used to it, though the full moon shifts are never pleasant." she admitted. She doubted that anyone got truly used to those experiences.

" that maybe so but I would only stain your packs werewolf my species are closer to the first werewolves you know, the Ulfhedinn. But if I am to stay I'd wish to have no part of your pack feeding " Nick said scratching the back of is head looking a bit uneasy thinking he might have hit a nerve

Inara dropped the rest of her sandwich in the bag, seeing Jay was done eating. She looked and blinked at Jay. 'Shake out my fur' was some odd wording for a run. She hoped he was just referring to the wolf form inside him. It was like an inside joke. She smiled at her own awful pun. It took a second for her to refocus. "I'll pass. I'm not a big fan of running." She said, shaking her head a bit. Sure, as a wolf, she loved to run. It was easy and natural. She was powerful in her wolf form. In human form, she didn't like the eyes on her. She didn't know how to hold her arms and how fast she should go. It was awkward and embarrassing for everyone.
---
Layla tilted her head slightly as a puzzled look crossed her face. "Ulf...head...in?" She slowly rolled the word out. Nothing sparked. The word was completely foreign. Maybe Hamish will know, She thought, tucking away the information for later. She didn't understand most of what the stranger was saying. Still, Inara wouldn't turn down someone who was living on the streets. "You might have to arrange something with our alpha if you don't partake in the hunt." She said, honestly, "But I think you could stay."

Jay looked over at her quizzically. "I meant in our wolf forms silly." He said, then winced as he punished himself for calling his alpha names. Refocusing himself he looked at her and grinned softly. "My wolf wants to get out for a little while and frankly I could use some time in four legs. And I know you like to run around when in wolf form." He woofed.

She wondered where her twin sister, Lily, was.

Inara frowned and bit her lip. Her eyes wandered across the park, looking at just how many people seemed to be here. It was true. She would love to pounce and run in her wolf form. One night a month never seemed to be enough for her. She longed to just transform and let loose. She held back the yes threatening to escape. There was no way they could transform and then hide themselves. The city was full of eyes and phones. One picture could cause danger for the entire pack. There wasn't a good way to cover up two wolves running around Dinnas. If they were half breeds, it would be a different story. They could be dismissed as wolf-dogs, but no, they weren't. "We can't." She simply said, not making eye contact. Her tone was full of guilt but also firmness. She couldn't endanger the pack for the wishes of two members.

Jay sighed and nodded as he looked around. "That's true, there's too many Normals..." He said softly as he shifted a tiny bit close to her. "Maybe once we get back to the Apartments? There's hardly any Windows and we can run around all we want there." He said, shuddering at the happy thought of just running around loose and he looked over at her. "Wanna head back now?" He asked, sitting up some. He arched his back some as he felt his wolf pique and want out and he let out a small growl that only she could hear.

Inara tried not to show her relief when Jay agreed with her. She didn't know what she would have done if he hadn't backed down. She didn't want to ruin her relationship with the male. Not many members were part of the pack when she was growing up and she held those who did close to her heart. She picked up the bag and hummed lightly. "I think we could do that. It might be better if we stay on the roof or in on of our rooms. I wouldn't want to startle the new ones." She said. The thought was amusing. Opening a door to see a couple of wolves running around like puppies. Though, she did know it might be weird or uncomfortable for the new members who hadn't gotten use to the situation. Her head whipped around to look at Jay when he growled. Seeing the male wasn't hurt, she scanned the area for what he might have growled at. The alpha's full attention was now on sniffing out the threat.

"Every shift is never pleasant. It was downright painful the first few times I remember." Hamish said. "I don't really see the appeal being a wolf, or in wolf form. I doubt we'll ever be as used to it as the born werewolves are."

Jay reached over and lightly touched her arm. "No Inara I'm okay nothing is wrong. My wolf just really, really wants out..." He said softly as he calmed down. Taking a couple breaths he calmed himself and regained total control. "Let's go." He said.

Inara twitched when an unknown thing touched her arm. She swung her head to find Jay's hand on her. She looked up as he spoke. "Sorry. Must still be tense." She said with a weak joking tone. A light pink color grew on her cheeks. Allowing her instinct to overtake her, it didn't set much of an example. She nodded in agreement and started to walk back.

Jay smiled softly when her cheeks flushed and he got up as she did and he walked alongside her as they traveled back to the Apartments. Walking slightly behind her he stayed near her but not too close and walked silently as they made their way back. "So where should we go when we get back? You suggested one of our apartments or maybe the roof. I'm good with anything." He said as he walked beside her.

Layla nodded. She did feel a flash of annoyance at the stranger's correction. It was a hard word to pronounce. No one should be expected to get it right. Still, she tried to smile and maintain a friendly tone. Only one corner of her lip twitched up. "Well, she should be back soon." She said before looking down at the little girl. "We can wait inside and fix up your arm." She told her.
---
Inara weighed each option in her mind. "Do you want to just transform or actually run around? If we want to run, I think we should head to the roof. There isn't enough room to run around in any apartment and I think we might break something if we tried." She said looking at Jay. She turned her head when the packhouse came in view. She blinked when she saw the group hanging around outside the packhouse. Inara straightened up and set a slight frown on her face. The alpha's eyes remained firmly on the new male. As she approached, she caught the sent of werewolf. This was slightly better, but still not a good situation. There couldn't be anymore newcomers. This was getting out of hand. She sighed as she stopped. "Hello, my name is Inara. Who are you?" She asked the two strangers in a light tone.

“Well I definitely want to run around so we should probably head to the roof.” He said as he lightly inhaled her scent without her knowing, or at least he hoped she didn’t know, and walked beside her and stopped by the front steps, just behind her and trying to exude his large presence to back up his alpha.

"You have a point, I'll admit it." she mused while fiddling with her fingers for a moment or two. "The born ones definitely have it easier than us, they're brought up to believe all of this is normal." she sighed while rubbing the side of her face.

" my name is Nick and the little girl inside is Aurora I just recently find her in the streets and brought her here because I know you take her. She's only eight I'm only here to bring her but if you enough space I would like to be a resident as well but I won't be taking part in your feeding " his voice was firm ignoring the other with his focus only on Inara and standing hie ground

Inara allowed herself to glance at Aurora. Fear scent permeated the air around the girl, but her face said enough. This was nothing unexpected. The scent of the streets seemed to be part of her. The family scent was barely there. Inara would guess the girl had been away from her family for more than a week. Her eyes softened and she smiled softly at the girl. She had to return her gaze to Nick. "Feeding? Do you mean the Full Moon Hunt?" She asked the male.

Inara nodded slowly, trying to process the information. This may not be the best thing to work out right in front of others. She should think on this matter more before speaking. Come up with a compromise of some sorts. The Hunt was important. It reinforced pack bonds, both in ranking and emotionally. Inara didn't want Nick to be left out. it may be dangerous to both Nick and the pack's stability. Inara shook her head. Matters for later. Now, she just had to work with the little girl. She would try to figure out Nick later. "Let's get inside. Are you two hungry?" She asked, moving into the doorway.

Jay chuckled as Nick rambled off some meat he wanted. “Hey not so fast buddy. We don’t just have raw meat laying around. Come on let’s go find something to eat together.” He said as he led them inside the Apartments, winking at Inara to let her now he could help. Maybe later... He mouthed to her as they walked towards the kitchen, meaning they could run around together later.

" oh sorry I was just naming the prey I used to hunt up north. You know up north we pay respect to the animals kill with a swift blow to the neck and bury the bones, but if the animal you hunted gave you a fair fight we let them live to respect their courage, strength and unyielding efforts of self defence " Nick told Jay with passion and enthusiasm but curious about how they these werewolves hunt and respect their kill he asked " how do you respect the animal that fills you on the hunt " the choice of words he chose was interesting but it was understandable of what he was trying to say

He blinked a couple times and looked back at him as they walked. “Well we only hunt about once a month on the full moon. Being in the city means its hard to make trips with all the members so we make one trip and kill one deer to do the annual feed.” He said as he walked. “Other than that we usually just purchase meat.” he said.

"Well I don't think it has so much to do with how they were raised, just the fact that they are and always have been werewolves makes it normal for them. They've never known any different, never had a full-moon gone by that they didn't turn. Regular kids are bad enough, imagine werewolf kids." Hamish said, laughing a bit as well.
