[ Hello hello. By now I think you all know how these work. Give me names, I'll rate them. If you're allergic to opinions this is an opinion factory and not the place for you to be. ] H o u s e R u l e s
I. Names are rated on a scale 1-10. 5-6 is average, 10's placed in Hall of Fame II. Warrior, tribe and ancient names all accepted. Kittypet and loner names require a short description to be rated. III. Of course, you may always give short or detailed descriptions alongside the names. Appearances, personalities and other quirks will be factored into the overall rating. IV. Reasons provided when asked for. V. No more than ~10 names a post. VI. These are opinions. If you wish to debate, send me a pm and I'll gladly give further reasoning there. VII. Prizes for HoF winners provided on inquiry. VIII. Intentionally bad names or 'joke posts' will be ignored.

Muffledcry 2 (is there any reason for this name? otherwise it's just sad) Honeydapple 6 Kiwistep 3 Fogleap 6 Muskpath 3 Dawnheart 4 Spiderleaf 6 Pebblestep 6 Eaglesong 7 Heatherclaw 6 Yeah, there is a reason for the name Muffledcry. When he was born, his meow wasn't all there, and was all croaky. His mother had taken longer than usual to name him other than his littermates, and he'd more often than not, sleep underneath his littermates. So his mother had named him Muffledkit because of his croaky meow and cause it was most of the time muffled because he'd sleep under his littermates. The suffix -cry was given to him because of his bad temper and snappy retorts, and also partly from his meow. Could I have reasons for the ratings on the other names please?

Muffledcry 2 (is there any reason for this name? otherwise it's just sad) Honeydapple 6 (nice name, not really any pluses or minuses.) Kiwistep 3 (I don't mind odd prefixes, but this sounds forced and just odd) Fogleap 6 (neutral) Muskpath 3 (Musk as a name is just mean. The smell is usually a bad one) Dawnheart 4 (cliche) Spiderleaf 6 (neutral. I like spider but leaf doesn't quite fit) Pebblestep 6 (cute) Eaglesong 7 (I'm partial to song, and Eagle as well. Can't picture it as well as some) Heatherclaw 6 (Neutral) cute reason !! Still sounds weird, but with the reason it's logical, though still sounds sad

Xenialheart-Odd prefix, can is in a Latin and Greek based clan. Named for kindness. 4 it's like translating to hopeheart which doesn't make much sense? Hollyheart 4 I feel like this name is either loved or hated and I'm leaning towards the meh side. Heart isn't the best suffix. Kindleshade 5 light vs dark cliche. And kindle is hard to use. Zinniasky 7 I actually like how this sounds Azaleafall 5 this on the other had feels like too many syllables in the first half Russetfawn 6 average. I like fawn but russet isn't the best Thymescar 2 I just don't like it. Harmony Call 2 it's like shimmersun or sparklehope it's too lolrainbowz. maybe as a goddess or a codename. Reasons please?)

here have some random names and cats
Petalstorm - Brown tabby she cat with a white muzzle, belly, and yellow eyes. Petalstorm is feisty and can't seem to keep still. She is very loyal, often to a fault. She usually won't back down from a fight, and can be rather unpredictable at times. She can also be prideful, and often overestimates her abilities. However, she can be considered a mousebrain. The prefix Petal is because of her pelt, which aside from the larger patches has a flurry of white spots across her chest and legs that are somewhat similar to the shapes of petals. The suffix Storm is because of her unpredictable nature and skill in battle.
Doveflight - Grey tom with white flecks and amber eyes. Doveflight is calm, collected, and accepting. However, he views his own feelings as lower and others, and this results in him almost never speaking his opinion. He is also very indecisive. There's a certain grace to how he jumps and leaps, yet he is below average in battle. He is good at hunting and tracking scents. The prefix Dove, because of his fluffy grey (yet not white, yes I know such a good match x3) pelt and I've kinda always wanted to see a tom called Dove. The suffix Flight because of his climbing and leaping ability, and nothing more than that.
Thorntuft - Prickly brown tabby she cat with green eyes. Thorntuft is your average warrior. Honestly I don't know what more to add. The prefix Thorn because of her pelt, and the suffix Tuft to add onto the fact that her fur sticks out in all sorts of directions.
Slushfeather - Fluffy dark grey she cat with green eyes. Slushfeather is cold, much like her name and appears to lack emotion, especially toward kits. She was once warm, polite, and gentle, but an encounter with a fox changed that. She has had two litters of kits in the past. One kit was killed by a fox during apprenticeship, and Slushfeather was heartbroken when she found out. Now, she tries not to allow anyone into her heart and tries to keep her distance, for she feels she won't be able to handle yet another loss of one she cares about. She still serves her clan (whatever it is, I haven't decided) all the same, with her grief at bay. The prefix Slush is because of her pelt color. The suffix Feather is because of her long fur, and her once warm personality.
Berrybrush - Fluffy pale brown and white she cat with blue eyes. Berrybrush is talkative and friendly.
Sparrowheart - Brown tabby tom with white paws and green eyes.
Reasons please

Silentsong Solarshine Lunarmoon Nightwhisper Shadowspur-Named for the definition of spur meaning plant or the definition to wisp. Echohaze Mourningheart-name change after the death of her family, done so by a harsh leader to punish her for her resistance against them. Fadedgaze-Named originally for his faded color of coat, Fadedkit, he was soon discovered to be blind and his warrior name became Fadedgaze, Reasons?

(These are all cats I had planed out for a fanfic I never wrote, Horsefeather being the main) Sunsong- Small, fluffy ginger tabby she-cat (Shadowclan) 7 nice flow and I can see her name in her description! Rotclaw- Massive black tom, with messy fur and twisted front claws (Shadowclan) 4 Rotkit seems like a mean name to begin with. Hookclaw- Dark brown tabby tom, with pale undersides, large hooked claws and a two-leg "silverhook" (fishhook) caught in his right ear (riverclan) 4 I like the symbolism in his prefix but although he has "hooked claws" it seems too literal and without thought. Ottertail- brown tom with a thick tail (riverclan) 5 average Horsefeatherโgray torbie she-cat with yellow eyes, was born in horseplace when her mother was captured by twolegs (Windclan) 4 I just don't like Horse as a prefix. It's odd and while it has symbolism, it just doesn't sound good. Haretailโsmall brown tom with a stubby tail. (windclan) 4 why name all the cats based on physical traits? Hollowforestโwillowy black tom with thin fur. (Shadowclan) 2 just no. Both are hard names to use, and together it sounds forced. Nightgazeโblack she-cat with intense yellow eyes. (Shadowclan) 5 average. I don't really like gaze at all but with night it's not too bad. Furzetailโ dark brown she-cat with a fluffy white tailโฉ (Skyclan) 5 average. Silentsongโsilver tabby she-cat. (skyclan) 3 Silentkit? also contrasting name cliche Snowhareโlarge, fluffy, white tom with ice blue eye (thunderclan) 7 it's a real animal, but it sounds nice and makes sense. Hawksongโmottled brown she-cat with a white chest and blue eyes (Thunderclan) 8 I can actually see this as a name for her! Reasons please

The prefix Petal is because of her pelt, which aside from the larger patches has a flurry of white spots across her chest and legs that are somewhat similar to the shapes of petals. The suffix Storm is because of her unpredictable nature and skill in battle. 8 I really like it! The name fits her very well. I just don't see brown cats as petal but that's also just my bias on the name. Very solid name.Doveflight - Grey tom with white flecks and amber eyes. 10/10 okay this name fits him to the letter and sounds good to boot.Thorntuft - Prickly brown tabby she cat with green eyes. Thorntuft is your average warrior. Honestly I don't know what more to add. The prefix Thorn because of her pelt, and the suffix Tuft to add onto the fact that her fur sticks out in all sorts of directions. 8 Honestly don't know what to add either. I love Thorn and tuft makes sense. I just don't feel the realism in a thornkit that also happens to have a prickly personality just not likely.Slushfeather - Fluffy dark grey she cat with green eyes. She still serves her clan (whatever it is, I haven't decided) all the same, with her grief at bay. The prefix Slush is because of her pelt color. The suffix Feather is because of her long fur, and her once warm personality. 6 Look above. Also not overly fond of Slush with feather.Berrybrush - Fluffy pale brown and white she cat with blue eyes. Berrybrush is talkative and friendly. 4 I like berry but this just sounds off.Sparrowheart - Brown tabby tom with white paws and green eyes. 5 average.Reasons please

Silentsong 2 Silentkit? Also contrasting name cliche. Solarshine 2 Solar is also odd to use, and shine is too rainbows and sparkles. Also translates to sunshine which is ew. Lunarmoon 0 Moonmoon? yeah no. Nightwhisper 4 average but overused. Shadowspur-Named for the definition of spur meaning plant or the definition to wisp. 3 the alliteration throws it off, and it just doesn't sound right. Echohaze 5 echo and haze are hard to use. It's decent. Mourningheart-name change after the death of her family, done so by a harsh leader to punish her for her resistance against them. 2 why heart? Fadedgaze-Named originally for his faded color of coat, Fadedkit, he was soon discovered to be blind and his warrior name became Fadedgaze. 6 I like it. I don't usually like gaze, but it's logical which gives something. I also tend not to like verb names but it's not the worst I've heard. Reasons?

OOC Kay.
Tinydust 4 I love tiny as a prefix and dust as a suffix but they just don't work together. Beewhisper 5 average. I don't care for whisper often but this isn't horrible. Hard to say. Tumblefoot 4 average. Mintspots 7 I like it, it's cute! Maybe -spot instead of -spots? Fogfur 5 fur is an average suffix Ottersplash 8 I've used this before, and really works in a water themed clan. Sunfish 0 canon. also an actual specie. this is more a rogue name than a clan one imo. Goldstone 4 sounds like a rock more than a name. I usually like stone but not with another rock-like prefix. Rabbitfoot 5 it's not bad but very common. Pigtail 0 Pigkit? also a thing. Just no

Nightfrost 7 I could see this as a cat. Littletoes 8 okay okay I usually hate -toes but this is adorable. Mudtooth 7 creative! I like the way it sounds. Quailspeck 4 Quail is hard to use and not a fan of speck with it. Tawnymask 9 I love mask and I don't see tawny all that often, but it's great together. Reasons please.
