Hurricane shook their head. As if they could just leave some kid out to freeze! "You're not going to be safe you here. You have to take shelter," they insisted. Unfortunately, the kid showed no intention of listening. The Raikou sat down to try and have a more leveled view of the boy. This kid couldn't even be so much as a teenager! Where were his parents? How did he even get over here without anyone else noticing? The legendary took a moment to decide what to do. Either they could go to the hospital, and get some others to help get the kid out, or they could take care of it alone. And being a legendary, well... of course doing it alone was the way to go. Hurricane didn't need to ask for mortals to help deal with a single person. The kid was just scared, anyways. Maybe being friendly would do the trick? First course of action; introductions. "Okay, I can't force you to move. How about we talk for a bit? My name's Hurricane. What's yours?" Eleven rolled his eyes. This person obviously didn't know him at all, nobody did, but that also meant nobody knew how he lived, how he survived, as it was the same as it always had been. He'd been living the same way for the last six years or so, he knew how to survive. Maybe uh, maybe not in a storm as severe as this, though, he could already feel himself getting colder. But he wasn't going to let this person know that. As the person shifted and started talking again, Eleven's eyes narrowed. Hurricane? What a weird name. he thought, then his thoughts piped up with. Dude your name is Eleven. Like the number. You can't even begin to judge Hurricane. and he lamented and looked back over at Hurricane. "My name's Eleven. Like, the number eleven," he greeted back. Even though he'd greeted Hurricane and introduced himself, that didn't mean that Eleven was just going to comply and follow them inside without putting up a fight. He did not want to go inside, not with all those adults there, that wouldn't be very good for his probably unstable mind. He'd get thrown into a panic attack and then not have anywhere to go and people would be staring at him and-- Eleven took a few large, deep breaths, backing himself up against the tire again, shaking his head. He wasn't even inside yet and he was already freaking out. Going inside would not be healthy for him. Not at all.

@ Augh: Hurricane crossed their arms. This kid, Eleven, would be difficult. They didn’t want to use force against someone, and they’d do their best to avoid that scenario. And the name Eleven… that definitely stuck out. Hurricane never met a regular person named after a number before! They almost asked about why he was named that, but decided against it. Small talk wasn't ideal with this hailstorm about.
Why wouldn’t this kid go in the hospital anyways? Fear of crowds? The hospital itself? The legendary shook the thoughts away. The weather was getting colder, and while they’d probably be able to live through this, they didn’t want to risk it. Even legendaries needed to keep themselves safe. Suicune would be able to get through this, they bet to themself.
“So, care to explain why you don’t want to go inside?” The only way to find out was to ask, after all. In truth, Hurricane didn’t expect to get an answer. Whatever this kid’s issue was, it must’ve been bad. Risking his own death to avoid something… Hurricane let out a silent sigh. He threw out another question, "What species are you?"

@spoopurr
Eleven glared at Hurricane when they asked him why he didn't want to go inside. That's none of their business! But, sighing, he glanced away and reached out a hand to play in a puddle that was right outside the safety of the car. He frowned a little and mumbled, under his breath, "There's too many ladies in there. Too many," he shook his head.
Anyone would think he was just overreacting, to be afraid to go into a hospital because there's women in there, but after seeing what he had seen and being through those experiences? He'd risk staying out in a hailstorm before he went into a hospital with a bunch of women.
Eleven definitely felt ridiculous. He would watch families interact from behind dumpsters and alleyways and he could see that there was some women that cared, but every one that he ran into treated him horribly, and he didn't want to risk it anymore.
The question of his species snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked back over, pulling his hand back in and drying it off. "'M a shiny Zorua," he answered, wriggling his tiny puffball of a tail. "What species are you?" he asked, honestly curious.

@ Augh: Hurricane frowned in thought. So Eleven had an issue with women. That… was odd. Curiosity pricked at them, and they wanted to ask for more about it, but… it wasn’t really their business to ask for someone’s life story. Hurricane had tried that in the past and, well, people could get rather rude. And Hurricane certainly didn’t intend on chasing Eleven away, off to elsewhere in the cold storm.
Having said that, it’d be rather simple to get Eleven into a more comfortable place; they just had to get into one of the bathrooms at the hospital. One that was meant for males; easy enough. Though, getting through the initial crowd… that wouldn’t work. And Hurricane couldn’t exactly try sneaking around to a back entrance or something, either. The building had people all over it!
Huh, a shiny? That explained why Hurricane couldn’t figure it out so easily. Zorua was a dark-type… And there goes my plan to use Extrasensory. Then came the moment to mention their own species. “I’m a Raikou… or rather, the Raikou,” they admitted. Their eyes locked onto Eleven in anticipation. Some people got intimidated when they found out Hurricane was a legendary, others would try too hard to be polite. Some even ran away in fear, though that almost never happened. It just went to show how different people could be from one another.

(@ Zubat: All is well. No worries .3.) Yumiko rolled her eyes. Figures that the kid would complain. She wouldn't force him to let her carry him, not without permission from that other girl. It was clear she was his guardian, perhaps an older sister? "Can we just hurry up?" Tomoko snapped. "I'm pretty sure none of us want to stay out here any longer than necessary!" Her arms were crossed, and she just wanted to get to the hospital. It was so cold! They didn't have time to deal with some brat not wanting help. If he didn't want to be saved, then let him freeze. However, Yumiko wanted to make sure these strangers would be okay. "Fine, I won't carry you if you don't want me to, but we have to speed up. If you fall behind... then you're getting carried, no objections." She didn't want to waste time either, so a compromise was her best option. Keegan sighed, "fine," he muttered, picking up his pace. Now that he wasn't covering his face so much, he was actually going pretty fast. Quick Feet, you see. A pretty great ability. Made him a better dancer too. Not that dancing would be helpful at this particular moment.

Sherk and Wild
( Sorry for not responding, Sherk. D: )
Turning around to face the Unknown, Cerro reached up to adjust the thin wire frame glasses he wore higher up on his nose. "Hmm. . . a fire?" His eyebrows knitting together, Cerro took a quick glance around the inside of the hospital; it was crowded, most of the town making its way to the makeshift shelter. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't dare start a fire in a hospital, especially when it was already so cramped. Someone could get burned, after all. But it was freezing outside, and while it was warmer inside the hospital, the constant opening of the automatic doors as people came in kept letting in cold gusts of air. He was also certain that Alphabet was still cold from being outside. "Alright, but it can't be a huge one, m'kay?" He took one last look around the hospital, then decided that where they were standing was the most open area they were gonna find. "Alrighty, hold out your hands." He raised his own right hand, palm-up, and narrowed his eyes, focusing his body heat towards the center of it. Soon a tiny flame started, and as Cerro exhaled, it grew to a respectable size.
Bet grinned, holding their hands to the fire, rubbing them together and enjoying the heat of the fire briefly, then snuffing it out with a little puff of darkness. They snickered, "jeez, Ro, you'll burn the place down!"

She kept an eye on the sky above them, noticing the clouds getting darker. This storm would not be a fun one. "I hope the springs will be okay," Tomoko muttered. She hadn't spoken loud enough for anyone to hear, or so she believed. They were so close to getting them ready for opening! And now they could get damaged. She tried to think about something else, but just couldn't. Many there were others who'd find her selfish for worrying about a house when people were in danger, but she didn't care. She hated the idea of putting so much effort into something just for it to blow up in her face. Despite keeping her thoughts to herself, Tomoko's facial expression made her anger clear.

@spoopurr
Eleven stared wholeheartedly at Hurricane until they answered his question, and when they did, Eleven honestly shouldn't have been so surprised. When he tilted his head and took in their appearance, yeah, Raikou seemed like it fit. But, even then, this was the first legendary he's ever met, and he was beyond excited.
"Oh my Arceus, you're a legendary?!" the Zorua squeaked, shifting a little closer to them. "Wow! I never thought some little street rat like me would ever get to meet a legendary!" he looked full of awe, which he was. But then his expressions shifted back to a frown and narrowed eyes. "Just because I think you're cool now doesn't mean I'm going to follow you inside. I don't want to go inside," he said defensively.
Yeah, he thought Hurricane was super cool, but he didn't want to be taken advantage of with that information. He wasn't going to follow Hurricane inside unless... Maybe if they had Eggos, maybe then he'd follow the Raikou inside. But, why would Hurricane want to give Eleven Eggos, especially when he wasn't complying? That seems counter productive, actually. But that didn't change Eleven's mind, he was going to stay outside, because he was not going into a room full of women, nope, not happening.

@ Augh: Hurricane couldn’t help but grin at Eleven’s reaction. He should’ve expected the kid to get excited; that’s how most reacted to seeing a legendary, after all. And to see someone excited to see them… it felt good sometimes. However, Hurricane’s frown returned quickly. Street rat? Did this kid not have a family or home? And he insisted on not going inside… this wasn’t good. The storm was getting worse; and Hurricane could feel the cold now. Maybe there was some way to bribe Eleven? It wasn’t like Hurricane had anything on hand at the time, but… “At the very least, you realize you could hide out in the bathroom, right? You’d only have to go through the crowd for a moment.” Hopefully that argument would work. Or… “Is there some way I can get you to go inside? At all?"

OOC: Just ignore the nerd over here drawing halloween costumes for fictional characters. Flora's a Skitty CatI drew one for Vaughn, but it didn't turn out as well. I'm working in Alphabet's and I need to think up ones for June and Keegan. They'll probably bump stuff from their costume shop, so June might end up going as Cinderella or a Flapper or something, and Keegan might go as a newsie.

eleven: werewolf malakai: mob boss (fancy suit+cane+cigar probably) rhoyax and atlanta: fairies. like. the adult fairy costumes, with the wings and the probably too-short skirts? yeah, they're my buffest/toughest characters so naturally they have to be the ones in the skimpiest costumes
but thats literally it its only those 4 and eleven is the only one drawn lmao ]

BLACKOUT
As the hospital begins to fill up with the residents of Shimaka there was one painful question that seemed to be in everyone's minds. Why was this happening? The time of year seemed so off for there to be a hailstorm, especially one this bad. There was nothing anyone could really do about it right now though. As time ticked on some people began busying themselves. Some helped out the nurse with distributing extra blankets to the people who needed it, some were pre-filling paper cups with the defrost juice, and some were gathered together in an area to provide extra heat.
Everything seemed to be going fine, but there was something that some people seemed to forget. There was an avalanche warning, right? Suddenly there was a loud rumble, first just a noise but soon enough the hospital began to shake slightly as well. As the noise grew louder the power suddenly cut out, sending everyone insider the building into darkness. The noise stopped and the backup generator kicked on, giving limited light to the building. Not only had there been an avalanche, but it seemed to have knocked out the power plant as well. No building in the town was getting electricity, and the generator the hospital had wasn't in the best shape.
(So here is the starter for the blackout portion of the plot. Sorry it isn't all the great and took me forever to get out. If we had a thread going for the first part that I never replied to I am very sorry for not replying. If you want to continue with our characters, reply to this as if it had been my reply and we can continue from there. Again, so sorry everyone.)

June was about to speak, when the streetlights and lights from the windows, which had been struggling to illuminate their path through the snow, shut off, plunging them into darkness. Keegan shrieked in panic, clinging to June. "What's going on?" The Mightyena asked, voice a little higher than normal, holding onto Keegan to make sure she knew where he was.
