x: Heather smiled a little as Rai joined her. Sure, it was a small thing, but it made her feel... safer, somehow. It was nice to have someone with you in a situation like this. After handing out a cup to someone, she poured a quick cup for herself. The wind from the door opening and closing made things a bit too cold. Actually, now that she thought of it, it was hailing rather hard now. "Hopefully there won't be a blackout..." she muttered. Oh, Heather, you have no idea.

Coal watched as they drove to the hospital and moved side to side in his seat. Coal really hated this type of weather it always made him uneasy and jumpy.

Night ( Don't be sorry. I haven't really been able to roleplay for a while now, anyway. )
Barnabus flashed an apologetic look at Nori, eyes narrowed a little so that he could see her properly through the whirling white of the thick, falling snowflakes around them. "I'm sorry," he murmured. When he spoke, he sounded. . . as if he were faraway, as if his attention really wasn't completely focused on Nori and Brice, or the cold weather descending down on them at a dangerous rate. "I just couldn't let it get buried under snow again. . . I'll be careful. . ." And with that, he moved forward and took the basket of kittens from Nori so that she could focus on walking, not wanting her to be left carrying the somewhat heavy basket while already having enough trouble trying to walk on a bad ankle without her crutches.
What he didn't seem to notice, however, was the expression that Brice wore once he heard his friend's words. The tone of which Barnabus had used had been enough to make Brice concerned, but. . . one word had stood out, and sent sharp chills down his spine that even the freezing cold air couldn't give him. Again. He frowned at the Bannette as the ghost-type took the mother cat and her kittens from his girlfriend. There was now no doubt in the Empoleon's mind that Barnabus's death had something to do with snow and cold. . . maybe it was even an avalanche, just like the one that could happen today? What kind of emotions, what kind of memories, would come to the surface of Barnabus's mind if an avalanche really did occur? Brice shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose. No, he didn't have time to think about that now. He needed to make sure these two got to the safety of the hospital. Then he could worry about his new friend's state of mind. "Yeah, right behind you," he said in response to Nori asking to go faster, trudging along behind her and her boyfriend, head down low.
Barnabus remained none the wiser of Brice's worries. He followed along at Nori's side, one hand under her elbow, just in case of the off chance that the ice-type would slip.

( Mkay. . . I found these two, for Pokemon and Scorch. There's one more post, but I'm gonna edit it a bit - its for anyone who made orphans and wanted to bring them in, but were waiting on me to do so. Sorry about that, guys. D: I'll try to have it finished soon. )
Sheep Fam
Once Riley had left to go with Skylar, it hadn't taken Allene long to get her remaining five children to the hospital. Now, in the corner of the hospital, Allene made sure that all of her kids were dry and warm, buzzing from one kid to the next, despite their quiet complaints.
The kids, for the most part, didn't seem too worried. Not the youngest, anyway. Mahina's nose, as usual, was buried in a book, and she seemed perfectly content to drown out the outside world and find comfort in whatever fictional world she was reading about. Arine had volunteered to help spread out blankets and anything else the hospital could offer to everyone, moving about the hospital with a bright, reassuring smile and a fiery determination to help. And Cal?
Well, once the new orphans had come in, he had started watching them curiously. It was interesting, seeing all these new faces in town, and he'd always liked people-watching. At one point a Cyndaquil that seemed about his age had caught him staring, and instead of returning the smile that Cal had flashed at him, he sent dark, annoyed glare. Cal ducked his head awkwardly and looked away.
Roland and Soren were quiet, each watching everyone start to file in to the hospital. "Will everyone be able to fit in here?" Roland muttered. Soren didn't even look his way. "It'll be crowded, but they will."

Gage and Amari
Seriously? A possiblity of an avalanche? Just his luck. When the sirens had went off, Gage had been in the shower, enjoying the feeling of the warm water running over his skin and taking away his worries. He had just started to rinse the cream rinse out of his hair when he heard the warning given to the city. Now stiff as a statue, the Giratina weighed out his options. Stay here in the hotel, and possibly get stuck in an avalanche, or go to a crowded hospital of people where it would be just too easy for someone to accidentally bump into him and knock his hood down. Neither choice was exactly favorable for the legendary. With a groan, however, Gage finally got out of the shower, towel-dried off, and put on his regular clothing and his thick, long, cloak-coat. His hair was still damp, and stuck to his face in thick golden clumps where he hadn't pulled it back, and he grimaced. It was bound to be really cold outside, and being a dragon-type, he didn't do good in the cold. Grabbing a rubber band that had come with a menu he'd been given, he pulled his hair back and out of his face, mostly so there'd be less of a chance of his face getting cold, but also just in case someone managed to see his hair. What else? He grabbed everything out of the hotel room he thought he might need; the two pillows, the sheets and blanket, anything else that was important to him. Then he took a deep breath, threw up his hood so that it covered most of his face and hair, and made his way downstairs. He checked to make sure that Ty would be okay, guessing the hotel owner would probably be helping the remaining residents out, before stepping out the front doors. Then he realized he pretty much had no idea how to get to the hospital. He must have looked pretty lost, because before he knew it, someone was beside him and asking if he needed help. Turning, the Giratina met the eyes of an Aerodactyl who couldn't have been any older than twenty, but. . . what gender were they? It didn't particularly matter to Gage what they identified as, but as he looked the ancient Pokemon over, he couldn't figure out what pronoun to use. "Ah. . . umm. . . I d-don't know where the ho-hospital is?" The Aerodactyl smiled and patted the Giratina's arm, making the ghost-dragon type jump a bit. If the Aerodactl noticed, they didn't let on. "My name is Amari, though I go by Ari. Don't worry about getting to the hospital; I'll take you there. I'm on my way there myself." "T-thank you. . ." Gage murmured, looking down at his hands. "Ah. . . e-erm." Ari smiled a little as they took Gage's hands apart, for Gage had started to twist his fingers together nervously. They then firmly took Gage's right hand in their own and led him off to the medical institution. "What's your name, kid?" Gage looked down at their hands, then back at Ari. "G-Gage. T-thank you f-for he-helping me." "It's no problem. Are those blankets and pillows from the hotel?" Gage's ears burned. "I th-thought someone w-would be able t-to use them." "Good thinking. Some of the younger kids will definitely be needing some, especially if we spend the night." Gage nodded, and for a little while, they walked in silence, which was fine by Gage, but at the same time, their conversation had been the only thing distracting him from the falling snow and ice until now. Feeling the cold pierce even through his clothes, he was chilled to the bone, and felt his limbs start to get sore and heavy. Before he knew it, his eyes were just as heavy and half-lidded, and his teeth were making clattering noises as they chattered together. Ari looked back at him. "Not good in the cold, are you?" Gage swallowed. "I'm j-just d-da-da-da-dandy," he managed to get out. Ari rolled their eyes. "Well, we're here, so you can get inside and get warm." Gage blinked and tilted his head back to look up at the building. Ari was right - Gage had been so distracted he hadn't even noticed they'd gotten to their destination. "O-oh! T-tt-thhank you." Ari frowned. "Get inside and warm up before you turn into an icicle, honey." Gage didn't need to be told twice as he shuffled his way into the hospital. Ari followed him in, turning their head slowly from one side to the other, scanning the crowd, then sighed and glanced at Gage. "Follow me," they said. "Let's get you some hot chocolate. If they're not out by now, there should be some packets over in the snack room." Gage couldn't help but smile at the helpful Aerodactyl, though it was a strange one, since his teeth still chattered. "Yo-you're too k-ki-kind."
Scoooooorch Riley nodded and did her own once-around before she ran into the house with Skylar. She shook out all the snowflakes from her ranger jacket that she could before she got completely inside the house, not wanting to make a mess, and once the door was closed, she hung it up. She took her shoes off and took a few steps forward so that Skylar could get away from the cool air as well. "Was that everything, or just everything outside?"

(@ Pokemon: Sorry this isn’t long I got kind of stumped. But I’d rather give you this as is instead of making you wait 23 years. Ah, thank you X) The hunt is a slow one, but I’m making progress. As far as maps go, that would be very helpful to have one… no doubt there’s been inconsistencies with who thinks what is where, but that’s kind of unavoidable at this point. I don’t really know if I’d be able to help w/ a map at all but I’ll try to pitch in where I can.)
Only five? Ian made an effort to make sure he didn’t grin at that. He didn’t need to give anyone more reasons to bother him about being rude. Well, at least the Noivern was doing his best… probably. He could get pretty dang strong someday, based on how their battle went from last time. “That’s pretty good,” Ian encouraged, albeit curtly. He glanced around at the crowd once more, noticing that the flow of people entering started to die down. So most of the people made it in, now.

Abused Orphans
It was not a good day for young Ira.
The evening before, the entire Lumiose Laughter Orphanage had boarded a plane, and had stayed airborne throughout the entire night, not landing once. Not able to get a wink of sleep, Ira had to stay awake the entire flight; throughout the babies crying, children that weren't a part of the orphanage kicking the back of his seat, and some of the passengers getting sick. The couple of times that they'd hit turbulence was on its own unsettling, but even more jarring as an older lady a few seats ahead of them screamed and insisted that they land before they crashed and all died. Even after she had settled down, her shrieks and wails had startled some of the younger orphans on the plane, and the tension and fear that swirled around the cabin remained until the plane finally landed early the next morning.
From there, the orphans waited in the airport for around an hour for their ride to finally arrive. The bus they got on was long and, while comfortable, sort of crowded as the thirteen children, two babies, and their three escorts tried to get settled in for the drive that was only supposed to last for two hours. And then, of course, they got stuck in traffic for five. By the time the bus had finally gotten in Shimaka, everyone was tired, exhausted, and just done with this transfer.
They had just gotten off the bus when the sirens went off. Dakota and Siris, at the bus stop to meet them, shared worried looks, then tried to calm the children around them.
Throughout the entire trip, Ira had been able to keep his temper, stay calm. But as the voice could be heard, the voice saying that there could be an avalanche. . . his heart stopped. An avalanche? They had to be kidding him? It would be the end to a very bad day. He had already been through one avalanche, and he wasn't keen to go through another. It was then that he felt a tiny hand loop around his fingers. Ira's red eyes slid down to see Copper, a young eevee that had often followed him around the orphanage before they had left. The brown-haired sweetheart smiled up at him, seeming to be not at all worried about the warning they had received, hugging the Basil plushie he had closer to his chest. "Its okie-dokie, Ira." Ira blinked a few times and tried to pull his hand away, to no avail. "What are you talking about?" "You looked scared, buts its all okay. We're all good." "I don't know what you're talking about."
Dakota and Siris had decided to split up. Siris led the newcomers to the hospital while Dakota went to get the orphans they had always been in charge of to safety. They would each go back to the bus stop after everyone was safe for ten minutes to wait for the other orphans supposed to arrive that day; if they didn't arrive, they would go back alone.
Shimaka OrphansBy the time Dakota got to the Shimaka Orphanage, most of the children were ready to go to the hospital.
Helping everyone along was one of the eldest children there, a Togetic named Tagriel. With a soft smile and a soft, soothing voice, he had gotten the youngest of the children into warm clothes, and made sure they were all buttoned and zipped up so that the cold air outside couldn't get them sick. With the help of three of the other older children, Cerro, Alcott, and Dillan, he had kept them calm and made sure they were all together before even thinking of stepping outside. Once everyone appeared to be all bundled up, he stood straight and looked over them. "Is everyone ready?" There were soft sounds of agreement and confirmation, followed by another, quiet and awkward voice. Standing in the back of the group, the oldest of them all, was the new arrival, the Sigilyph Sybil. To be honest, he wasn't exactly 'new'. The boy had spent most of his time in the Shimaka healing center, and many of the orphans had gone to meet him before, knowing that he would one day join them in the house. Today had actually been the day he was supposed to move in, but as soon as he had set down his bags, the sirens had gone off. "Might as well bring your stuff with you, Sybil," Tagriel said with a note of sympathy in his voice. "I mean, if there's an avalanche, at least you'll have your stuff with you."
Sybil gave the Togetic an awkward smile and lifted his bags back up, pulling the bigger one over his shoulder so it was easier to carry. "R-right," he murmured, his accent clearly noticeable, even though he only spoke a single word. If he had anything else to add, he couldn't, because at that moment Dakota opened the door, poking his pink-haired head in and looking around at the children. "It looks like everyone is ready," the Ditto murmured, his guess confirmed as all of the children nodded. "Alright. Come on out, little ones. Pull your scarves up around your faces, and try to breathe into them. Watch where you step, because its getting icy." He opened the door, and the kids quietly, quickly, filed out of the orphanage, Tagriel at the front, Sybil taking up the rear. It was made all too clear just how bad of a turn the weather had taken when they were all outside, their surroundings almost completely white with the falling snowflakes and ice.
"Whoa." Nigel the Seel adjusted his crutch in the growing snow, already knowing it would be hard to maneuver. "I can barely see a thing." "Neither can I," joked Cecil, a young Cubone who was almost completely blind. Nigel, a Shiny Carbink just a year younger than Cecil, elbowed him gently in the side with a soft snort, rolling his eyes. "Not funny." "It's a little funny," Cecil breathed back.
Dakota grinned at the younger kids, relieved that they were staying optimistic despite the growing danger around them. "Alright. Everyone stay close, hold on to each other if you have to, and follow me." And with that, the Shimaka Village orphans made their way to the hospital, helping each other when they needed it.
Assassin Orphanage As soon as Siris had gotten the Lumiose Laughter orphans settled in the hospital and asked a nurse to keep an eye on them, he had went back to the entrance of town to wait for the rest of the newcomers to arrive. He didn't have to wait long.
A bus pulled up the road slowly, its driver being careful on the roads that were starting to line up with ice. As the long vehicle came to a stop in front of the path to Shimaka, the breaks let out a loud shrieking noise, and the whole bus gave a tiny lurch before it completely settled to a stop. Almost as soon as the bus stopped moving, the driver opened the doors, and an older Electabuzz, maybe in his late thirties or early forties, climbed down the two steps. "Oh, geez," he murmured as a cold blast of air nearly lifted him off of his feet. Siris had to fight from grinning in amusement. "Oh, a Servine. . . you must be the Ditto's kid. Siris, was it?"
"That's me." Siris gave the man a polite smile, but his eyes were mostly trained on the windows of the bus, watching the children inside move about and grab their things, getting ready to get off. They all started to unload from the bus, chatting quietly among themselves, voices hard to catch in the billowing of the wind but clear enough to catch some out-of-context words. "Welcome to Shimaka, everyone," Siris announced once everyone was off the bus, raising his voice so he could be heard over the breeze. "I apologize if I seem short, but due to the weather, everyone is making their way to the hospital for shelter. If things get any worse, it could cause an avalanche. We need to move as quickly as possible. Does everyone have their stuff?"
"We're all good." A young man in green stepped forward, a common black coat that one could get at the store for ten bucks hanging loosely around his shoulders and whipping about his knees with quiet whumps and clupps. Siris would have thought he looked completely normal at first glance, but the soft glint of metal near the outside of the young man's left thigh caught his eye. So he's armed. Siris glanced around at the rest of the orphans before looking at the green-dressed on in front of him. The others probably are too. Not unexpected. "I'm assuming you're the Scyther, Spellacy, then? The oldest here?"
"Bingo," the green-clad young man responded. Siris noticed something else about the newcomer right off the bat; he had his head tilted back, his lips pulled into a smirk, and his eyes, narrowed just a little, peered into Siris's own with a look that was somehow lazy and completely at ease. . . but also sharp, with an almost deadly light to them. He's looking down his nose at me. Siris gave him a smile of his own, raising a hand to wave at everyone else, not earning a single wave back. "Well, then," he announced. "Then you may all follow me." He glanced into the bus at the bus driver, then made eye contact with the Electabuzz. "Please follow us. It's not safe for the two of you to be on the road at this time. You can just park and leave the bus there." Following his words, the bus driver shut down the bus and rose from his seat, getting out and pulling his jacket up higher onto his shoulders, joining the Electabuzz. . . both keeping a reasonable distance between them and the orphans.
They're scared of them. Siris took note of this, but showed no hint of what he was thinking. "Everyone stick together." And with that, he turned on his heel, and led the deadly children and two terrified adults behind him to the hospital. Once they were all inside, Siris turned to look for everyone else. Where is Dakota. . . and Indigo. . .

When the warning was issued for the town of Shimaka to head to the hospital in fear of the storm approaching, Eleven was camped out in a house who's family had gone on vacation to... Who cares where. All Eleven cared about was that he had a warm place to sleep and free food.
That being said, the Zorua had no idea that the town was being ushered into evacuating their homes. Well, until rangers came knocking at the door of the house he was in, and came in to make sure it was clear, and saw the boy sitting on the couch. He stared them down until one of them made a move for him, then he bolted. He ran through the house and out the back door, being chased by the rangers who had entered the house.
Luckily for Eleven, though, he was fast, and he had minor psychic powers, so he was able to shatter the glass on the back door window to stop the rangers from continuing their chase. Eleven ran behind houses, ducking out of sight of everyone on the streets and trying to avoid the pelting hail, and eventually made it to the hospital himself.
However, when he peered in through the window, he saw far too many women for his liking, and it made his heartbeat speed up, so he backed off from going inside, and ducked around until he got to a car that didn't seem like it was going to be moving for a while. Sliding under, Eleven curled up, his blue eyes wide and watching the people and cars go by him, his ears flat against his head to keep the rain out. This wasn't... the worst place he had stayed, that's for sure. But he would've much rather have stayed inside the warm house he was in, instead of this very cold, wet ground. The tinkling of the hail on the roof of the car he was under was... Comforting, in a weird way. It was a solid thing, something that continued without interruption, and Eleven liked that.

@ Augh: Hurricane stuck to just outside of the hospital, keeping an eye on the crowd filing inside. The storm wasn't that bad yet, but it would only get worse. They frowned at the idea of not everyone getting to the hospital in time. Then again, given how many people they'd met... they'd probably notice some of the ones who are missing. Sure, Hurricane didn't know every last person in Shimaka, but they made an effort to know as many people as they could. They didn't want anyone getting hurt of their watch. A sudden blur of motion caught Hurricane's attention. Turning their head over to the parking lot, the motion vanished. It most certainly wasn't their imagination, so the Raikou decided to get a closer look. There were a lot more cars than normal, as expected for the event. If the hailstorm got too bad, these vehicles would get damaged... "Someone out there?" Silence. Hurricane didn't feel satisfied, so they continued the search. There had to be someone! Or something, at the least. Maybe it was a pet? An animal couldn't be left out in this kind of weather... Maybe they could check under the cars? Hurricane did as such, looking underneath one car at a time. Until they came to across kid hiding under a black car. Despite knowing that this was a possibility, it still caught Hurricane off guard. The Raikou backed up a bit, keeping an eye on the boy. He looked terrified! "You should go inside! You can't just stay out here in this weather, kid."

Eleven had thought he'd avoided contact with everyone just enough that he'd be able to stick this storm out under the car, not knowing how bad it was going to get. He thought that until he heard a voice, a slightly masculine voice, start speaking. His ears flipped back up, listening intently, and he rolled onto his stomach, watching out from under the car as feet walked by. As they left, Eleven relaxed, but then they came back! With a head to accompany them!
Eleven let out a soft hiss, backing away from the person who had just ducked down to see them. His eyes were glowing and he was not afraid to use Extrasensory on this... Being. He had his tiny little fangs bared when the person looked back at him, and when they told him to get inside, he barked a swift 'no' at them. He wriggled away from them more and curled up against the tire opposite of the person, glaring at them and huddling into his coat to make himself seem much smaller than he was.
He wasn't going inside, he had no reason to go inside, he was perfectly fine right here, under this car, until the storm went away. He had hidden under cars before! He knew how to stay in the dry spots and that when it started up he had to move or he would get crushed, he was smart enough! He didn't need to go inside, no sir, this car was perfectly fine.
Eleven had ducked his eyes away from the person to get his nose a bit warmer, and when he glanced back up they were still there and it made Eleven groan. "Leave me alone. Go 'way," he huffed, backing up even more, if that was possible.

Hurricane shook their head. As if they could just leave some kid out to freeze! "You're not going to be safe you here. You have to take shelter," they insisted. Unfortunately, the kid showed no intention of listening. The Raikou sat down to try and have a more leveled view of the boy. This kid couldn't even be so much as a teenager! Where were his parents? How did he even get over here without anyone else noticing? The legendary took a moment to decide what to do. Either they could go to the hospital, and get some others to help get the kid out, or they could take care of it alone. And being a legendary, well... of course doing it alone was the way to go. Hurricane didn't need to ask for mortals to help deal with a single person. The kid was just scared, anyways. Maybe being friendly would do the trick? First course of action; introductions. "Okay, I can't force you to move. How about we talk for a bit? My name's Hurricane. What's yours?"

Alphabet floated a few inches above the ground bobbing alongside the other children from the orphanage. They hadn't been the most hyped about going out in this snowstorm, so they made sure to catch up to Cerro as quickly as they could. A fire-type would keep them warm. "Ro," Bet poked the Torkoal in the back, spinning a little bit in midair, "Make some fire. We're cold."

Flora dragged the Shaymin over to the window, depositing dropping her on the sill as gently as she could. "Good spot." She said, sitting next to Leane and turning to look out. The snowfall had picked up already, and was turning the world outside white. "Wow," she couldn't help but remark, "wouldya look at that?"
OOC: Luci, weren't we doing something? June and Keegan and Yumiko and Tomoko?

OOC: Yeah, must've. Never saw that you asked that. That'd be pretty helpful, actually.

@ Zubat: Tomoko/Yumiko“It’s a good thing you were watching the TV, sis.” The only response was a shrug. Tomoko didn’t feel like talking right now. They were working on opening up the hot springs, and this happened… so much for their goal of finishing today. And if the hail got bad enough, they could have some setbacks. That’d only make things take even longer. Yumiko picked up on her sister’s bad mood, but didn’t say anything to cheer Tomoko up. She knew how Tomoko could get with trying to give consolation; it just didn’t work. Tomoko had to get over it in her own way, in her own time. All Yumiko could do was act like normal, and show that things would be okay. “Well, I’m glad we’re making good time. We’re already inside the city, after all. And the hail’s getting a little rough! We could’ve gotten trapped in our house if we didn’t get such a good notice about the storm.” And yet… Yumiko made the mistake of not putting on heavier clothing. It was summer for crying out loud! It’s not supposed to get cold! Whatever! I’ve trained a long time to get strong. That includes enduring cold weather.“We should pick up the pace,” Tomoko spoke, despite not wanting to. She didn’t like the way the weather took a turn for the worse. They were still pretty far from the hospital, too. Taking their time wouldn’t cut it. And with that, she began to jog, not bothering to wait for a reply. OOC: I'm almost vibrating right now. Don't know why but everything's going a million miles a minute. BIC: Keegan had pulled the drawstrings on his hoodie so tight, that the hole for his face was really only big enough for his nose. He held tightly to June's hand as she pulled him toward the hospital, tripping over the ground because he couldn't see where he was going and she was going so freaking fast, "Keegan!" She snapped, pulling hard on his arm to make him go around the Gyarados and Milotic they were passing. "Ow!" He said, " June!" His arm felt like it had been pulled out of his socket. June paid him no mind, "sorry," she said to Tomoko and Yumiko, "I wanna get him to the hospital quick..." He'd probably be buried completely if they didn't. Tomoko/Yumiko Tomoko didn’t bother to say anything to the two strangers. Rushing wasn’t a bad idea, but going too fast could just make things worse. But, whatever, not like she cared. Yumiko, on the other hand, decided to offer some help. She gave Keegan a quick inspection. “Want me to help? I could carry him for you.” This could make up for missing out on training while the hot springs were being set up. She could definitely carry this boy; he couldn’t be more than what, 13? And the weight of someone his size wouldn’t slow her down much, if any. The Milotic sighed. Of course Yumiko would offer to help. Then again, that just showed she was kind, didn’t it? Yumiko always seemed to care more about the village than her. “At the very least, we may as well stick together. Four is better than two,” Tomoko admitted. And she really didn't like the idea of being stuck out in this place any longer than possible. The hail started to hurt, even! (@ Zubat: Sorry this took so long I got sidetracked.)
