Frazzlepaw sighed. "Yes. She'll be fine," he stated, sounding more like he was trying to convince himself. His gaze drifted to the camp entrance, then back to the fresh kill pile. His stomach growled. "I'm gonna grab a bite to eat, and if she's not back by then, we can start looking for her." He hoped that Rootstripe would let him get away with eating before hunting for the clan. "Alright, but be sure to catch something later to bring back to the clan," Rootstripe told him, knowing it was technically against the rules, but he knew the apprentice was probably hungry. "And that sounds like a good plan," he nodded, hoping the she-cat wasn't in any sort of trouble. (sorry about that!)

(Don't worry about it. ^^ Thanks!)
Frazzlepaw flicked his tail, and he stood, quickly padding towards the fresh kill pile. "I will," he called over his shoulder. He might have other interests, but he still was loyal to the clan. Not that he'd end up catching much... He scowled a bit at the thought, but quickly forgot about his qualms as he neared the fresh kill pile. It was like a ray of sunlight into darkness. The fresh kill pile supplied the clan, feeding them and strengthening them for the day to come. He slowed as he arrived, sniffing at the cold prey. More like a ray of moonlight... He grabbed a mouse. It might be small and frozen, but it would be enough to settle his stomach for a good portion of the day. He bit into it wincing at the cold on his teeth, but eating it anyways. Food was food.

Rootstripe watched Frazzlepaw for a moment before he turned his attention elsewhere. His mind wandered and he sighed, were his friendly greetings really all for nothing? He shook his head slightly, he didn't think so. It had gotten him into some trouble, being nice to cats even when they were across the border on border patrols or in other clans at the gatherings. He nearly winced, remembering Dawnwhisper and all that they had before it was gone. He knew that they shouldn't have even become friends, but he fell in love with her and he couldn't have helped that. The last he saw of her was several moons ago when he brought Willowpaw back to camp with him. She was a tiny thing then, not even opened her eyes yet.

Frazzlepaw paused halfway through eating and peeked at Rootstripe. The tom was interesting. Many cats would hold back until they became friends with another cat, or at least until they were approached with a conversation. Rootstripe on the other hand, was kind to everyone, less afraid to hold back. He admired that. It made him feel comfortable around the other tom. Finishing off his meal, he stood, and approached Rootstripe. "You ready to face destiny?" he asked, a twinkle in his eye. His sister had tried so hard to get him to talk normally, but Frazzlepaw had a bad habit of speaking of something as if it were an epic story.

lol Frazzlepaw is cute))
Rootstripe looked down at the younger tom as he was roused from his thoughts. "Ready as Ill ever be," he laughed, his familiar smile reappearing on his face. He stretched his legs and claws, getting to his paws. "Hopefully she's just on a long hunt," he meowed, heading over to the entrance, waiting for Frazzlepaw to come with.

(Haha. Thanks! ^^)
Frazzlepaw stumbled on his long gangly legs after Rootstripe, a bit surprised at how quick the tom was to head off. "Great!" He followed Rootstripe out of the camp, looking around as soon as they exited. He watched as the steam of his breath rose and disapated into the air, fascinated. "I guess another reason I'm worrying is because she just healed from twisting her paw a while ago. That might explain how long she's been taking lately. She might be getting used to hunting again."

Rootstripe had gotten up so quickly, because the sooner they found Frazzlepaw's sister, the sooner they would be sure she was okay. Sniffing the air, he headed off in the direction of the she-cats scent. "Oh that is true. I forgot about that. That could definitely be a factor and old injuries do tend to flare up in the cold," he replied, knowing how his old battle injuries tended to bother him in leaf-bare. "Thats probably the case, but theres no harm in double checking!"

"Yeah. And if she has gone and got herself in trouble, then you and I will swoop in and save her," Frazzlepaw agreed, a grand story unfolding in his mind how he'd save his sister, and she'd be eternally grateful. The young tom chuckled at the thought, and tried to picture Roselight telling him she owed him one. It was hard. She would be too stubborn to admit she was in trouble in the first place. That is, if she even was in trouble.

"Exactly!" Rootstripe laughed, enjoying Frazzlepaws sense of adventure and storytelling. "Hopefully it won't come to that, but if it does we'll be ready," he winked down at the appretince as they padded along. He inspected some crushed leaves and broken twigs as they did so. "Looks like she went this way," he mumbled mostly to himself as he continued in that direction.

Frazzlepaw laughed, glad to have someone so agreeable to his way of speaking. He peered in interest, as Rootstripe paused over some crushed leaves. When the older tom moved on, Frazzlepaw took a few moments and sniffed the crushed leaves. There it was... It was stale, but it was definately the scent of his sister. He sneezed suddenly, scattering the leaves in all directions, and bounded forwards to catch up with Rootstripe. His sister had always been better at tracking than he was anyways.

Forcing himself not to laugh as Frazzlepaw sneezed, Rootstripe continued walking.

(At first I was thinking maybe, but how about they don't for now. At the moment she is frozen in time, helping Yew battle some rogues from his past. But it seems Bloodyface has been a bit busy lately, so Yew and Roselight may be frozen in time for a while. I was thinking maybe the trail goes cold. She's hiding the fact that she fell in love with a rogue, so she may have concealed her tracks somewhere anyways. ^^)

The daughter saw her opportunity and leaped forwards, easily rolling Yew over as she slammed into the larger tom. He managed to get a good swipre in at her face, leaving the she-cat yowling as he blindly bit at him. Her jaws caught his shoulder, causing the tom to yelp as he struggled to get a bite in on her throat. Instead he got a grip on the she-cat's neck, using the extra leverage to roll on top of her. Now he could get to work on making this a fair fight. The little orange tom hissed, sizing up the warrior as he thought of how best to attack. "How could possibly defend a killer like him? You should leave before you die too!" He snarled, then bit at her forelegs since he couldn't reach the warrior's neck. It was just their luck that after spending all of this time to track down the cat who killed Oak they would have someone like Roselight barge in on their revenge. Forest had pulled back, panting to regain her energy. When the tom pinned down her daughter, she lunged forwards to rake her claws down his side. Roselight swept a paw at the small orange tom, intending to bowl him over. "I defend him, because I have seen what is inside him and what I saw is beautiful, not that of a cold blooded killer! This will solve nothing. Aren't you tired of all this fighting? If what you say is true, then if you kill him, I would need to kill you. Don't you see? It will only continue on and on... Can't we simply have peace, and not have to kill each other over, and over, and over again?" she pleaded, her green eyes intense, and yet somewhat saddened. "It's too late for any of that!" The larger tom growled. "It was too late as soon as he killed our father!" With that, he lunged towards her, slashing at her face. She pulled back, but he managed to nick her ear. He then charged her, butting her chest with his head and slashing at her belly, as her own claws dug into his shoulders. She kicked at his chest with her hind legs, and the two went rolling head over tail until they hit a tree and broke apart, scrambling. Roselight jumped up against the tree trunk, and then smashed into the larger tom with her forepaws. They rolled once and Roselight landed on top, pinning him down. "It's never too late..." she panted.

(^^)
Frazzlepaw wandered after Rootstripe, constantly distracted by the small things around them. "After we find Roselight, maybe we can catch something on the way back," he thought aloud. Surprised at how loud his voice seemed to be in the silence of the day, he dipped his head in embarrassment.

Yew howled in pain as he felt Forest's claws dig into his side, quickly stepping back as far as he could inside the den. Already starting to feel himself growing weaker, the tom quickly lunged forward, aiming to claw at Forest's belly. Her daughter had taken a moment to recover, having been choked while Yew had a grasp of her neck. Seeing the tom lunged towards her mother, the large she-cat sloppily leaped towards him, hoping the three of them wouldn't all collide together.
The smaller tom backed off for a moment, merely hissing in response to Roselight. He didn't want to think about peace, he had come here to kill Yew! The monster who had murdered his father long ago. The fact that Roselight was trying to reason with them only made him even angrier, and the tom clumsily rushed towards Roselight while she pinned his brother down. Tucking his head down, the angry runt seemed poised to ram into the warrior headfirst.

Forest smirked and turned tail, racing out of the den. She assumed her daughter would follow suit.
Roselight was getting restless. This was getting her nowhere. She moved to bat the little orange tom away, and leapt off of the larger black and orange tom before he could throw her off. She moved to streak towards Yew's den when paws suddenly slammed into her. Roselight was knocked back with a yowl. She fought back, but was sorely outnumbered and found herself underneath a she-cat with a malicious grin. Forest held a paw at her throat, claws ready to move at a moments notice. "If you come a step closer, I will kill her," she hissed to Yew, her eyes flashing. "Just like you did to my love. Murderer!" The larger tom stood beside his mother, battered, but ready to intervene if Yew attacked his mother.

Forest's daughter slammed into Yew, and the pair struggled for a moment before Yew had pinned her down. His ears pricked up at her words, and the loner jerked his head around to see Roselight. They yellow tom let out an unearthly growl before getting up off of Forest's daughter. He crouched down as though ready to pounce, even though he knew he wouldn't put Roselight in that kind of danger. "Let her go! She had nothing to do with Oak or any of this!" Yew had never been the best at negotiating. "I'm the one you want."

Hey! Sorry for my poof guys. I had a physics test a couple hours ago so I shut myself off from social media and things last night so I could study. ))
"Yes that sounds like a good plan," Rootstripe purred, chuckling a bit at Frazzlepaw's unintended loud comment. "Hold on... I think I caught her scent again..." he meowed in a hushed voice as he sniffed the ground again. They had lost the trail for a bit, but he finally found it again and this time it was stronger. "This way I believe," he told him as he lead the apprentice in that direction. This was an odd direction for her to be going in, but he assumed it was in an attempt to find more prey.
(Rootstripe and Frazzlepaw to the rescue? If you want Light!))

Ambertalon groomed her fur with close precision, not wanting a spiky hair out of place. Bristlepaw and Wasppaw were wrestling at her side, and the nervous and prickly mother took a moment to gaze proudly and calmly at her kits.
