so apparantly my accent (southern english) is most similar to the hawaiian one? like, the whole map (other than new york and new jersey for some reason they're light orange) is blue and white with some yellow here and there and then hawaii is just red. for actual top three I got honolulu/new york/jersey city. who'd have thunk it

i got boise/omaha/Lincoln but im from northern CA and def don't have a midwestern accent?? my problem was that i've visited my relatives in the midwest where they have fireflies/lightning bugs so i had a term for them but we don't have them in CA, and for roly poly/pillbug i kinda use those names interchangeably idk it tripped me up man

here's my map i was kinda surprised bc i'm not really From Anywhere. i'm a military kid but i lived in socal from the middle of 6th to the summer between 11th and 12th grades so i guess it makes sense i talk like i'm from there ???? even tho i've lived in socal, another part of cali, north carolina (i'm on my second time living here), hawaii, and cuba (too briefly to rlly count). so i guess i know whose lingo i use tho idk if i Sound Like i'm from there if that makes sense bc some of my 'how do you pronounce x' questions were a bit more consistent w the midwest which is the region my dad is from

I'm not entirely sure but if the accents from there and from Cali are similar it would make a lot of sense, because I'm from just above the border of Maine and my "accent" has been misplaced for a Californian one before and I'm just like ??? I don't have any family from there either so I'm not sure how I would've picked it up, lol

the "most similar" are extremely off, though houston (where i've spent most of my life) is also dark red... interesting... dad is a houston native and my mom was a military kid (spent parts of her childhood in socal, england, and the stl area) so idk where i got these results from.

IT GOT THE EXACT CITY I AM LIVING IN CURRENTLY.
I currently live in Lincoln Nebraska but I grew up about an hour West of Lincoln. The entire state of Nebraska has a very similar accent until you get more West.
