Pale blue eyes eyeing up each of his clanmates. Truth be told he couldn't say how he felt in regards to everything that happened the night before. Though it did leave something like a sour taste in his mouth to notice the angered eyes from all those around him. The air in camp was quite stuffy. Inwardly the tom tried to shrug away the feeling. Normally he did as he was told, and Silverstar had said to safeguard the borders more than ever. Perhaps that was something he was just going to have to do now. Even if he was never the greatest fighter in terms of power. Often relying on being skillful in any fight. He only had to hope that any outsider he would meet would just roll over if they met him, but he knew that would never happen anyways! Hoping for something like to happen wasn't realistic to think of regardless. The warrior smiled to himself before he got to his paws and looked around. Doing these sorts of things was much better with others.

Seawhisper »Seawhisper couldn't help the eerie chill that crawled down her back. She hated the silence that had fallen on the camp. Not the lack of voices - that was always a given when living in a large clan like her own. But the silence - the complete, utter lack of white noise. It was like nature itself realized something had happened, and was trying to give the cats time to.. what? She wasn't sure she knew, not really.
For Starclan's sake, I sound like a kit listening to an elder's tails. I need a break - maybe I should stretch my legs. It was then that she noticed Fadingnight, looking for all the world as if he were in the same boat as her - stuck, with nothing to do. She rose up off her haunches, and padded over to the tom quietly. His pale blue eyes never seemed to stop roaming the camp.
"Fadingnight, how are you? I was thinking of going for a walk - care to join me?"

"As I was just thinking of following the orders given, I wouldn't mind that at all." He mewed, tail flicking lightly as he already began moving ahead to the entrance. Quite glad if anything at the moment that he wouldn't be going alone. Never had he thought ill of Seawhisper either, so there was some hope that this wouldn't be a bad time spent between them. Though he wasn't usually the most hopeful when it came to any matter at all. But! To get out of this messed up place would be much preferred than any other thought that may come to mind. What, with their leader being so crazed and all.

[ HELLO sorry for the delay!! I got really distracted by something this weekend cough so it took me longer to do hw, and thus more time to get to these than I expected. xD My muse has been kinda low these past few days so these prollllllly suck. :") Sorry fam!! If Honey and Clover were in the nursery around the same time and Dark and Azure came to visit them, Dark and Azure would probably interact at some point and I'm just lOLING AT THE IDEA OF TAKO AND INIGO INTERACTING ] Lionpaw with Tawnypaw It'd be better if they were far away, Lionpaw mused to himself as Tawnypaw spoke, though he didn't dare actually voice such thoughts. She was already in a melancholic mood and making it worse was not his goal. Still, the tom shifted his paws somewhat awkwardly as she spoke. As Cinderspark's apprentice, he had always strictly followed the warrior code, and he didn't understand why cats like Augustpetal were so drawn to those outside of the clan. This was no exception, even though Tawnypaw and Robinpaw were born outside of the clan. "Well, hey, if any cat gives you a hard time for having kin outside the clan, then send them my way and I'll give them a good talking-to!" he ventured eventually, figuring it was the safest thing to say. Sure, Lionpaw didn't think she should be torn between clan and kin, he thought the choice was obvious, but cats like Tawnypaw needed to know there were others on their side, to feel less alone and alienated! He shot her a cheerful grin, as if to assure her meant what he said. Cloudpaw with Coalpaw, Echomist, and Ebbe Cloudpaw nodded in agreement at Echomist and Coalpaw's words. If the kits were going to be a part of the clan from now on, he also felt that they should be given proper clan names. It wouldn't change the outlook of every cat in camp, per se, but certainly would help give the feeling that they were part of the clan now, not some random loner's kits that they were raising on a whim. His ears twitched when he heard a soft squeak interrupt them, glancing down at the sleeping kits to see that the small speckled she-kit had stirred from her sleep, likely because of their conversation. Oops... well, he'd tried to keep his voice down. Hopefully the others wouldn't wake up anytime soon - they needed their rest after, well, who knows how hard the journey was for such young kits? He leaned closer to Coalpaw and whispered to her, "It's probably not a good idea for them to reject a name change." Besides, Silverstar would have to announce the kits at some point. It wasn't exactly a well-kept secret that the nursery was now guarding these new little ones! Wondering if the kit was going to go back to sleep - he certainly wouldn't fault her for it if she did - or stay awake, Cloudpaw peered closer at her to get a better look. At least she hadn't woken up complaining about fever or nightmares or something to that effect! "But don't you want a name like your mother?" he asked her softly, trying to avoid disturbing her siblings. "Augustpetal was a... loyal and well-respected warrior." Admittedly, the tom's voice faltered and he inwardly winced at that. Yes, Augustpetal was a loyal warrior, but Cloudpaw had a hard time remembering her that way. After all, he and his mentors had been the ones dealing with all the cats with greencough - which Silas brought to camp, mind! - and he remembered having the hardest time separating the two mooning lovebirds. He pretty much gave up at some point, his paws were too full with the other sick cats. Not to mention the she-cat leaving the camp with the loner... no one would forget that any time soon, especially not with three reminders of it now residing in the nursery. Cardinalsong with Baybone Cardinalsong was relieved to see Baybone smiling. It seemed he had been deep in thought until she showed up, and she had hoped she wasn't disrupting anything. As to his question, the she-cat shrugged as she sat down next to him. "I'm doing okay," she responded. Her day certainly could've been going better, what with the depressing aura of camp. It seemed that no cat was keen on forgetting what happened just yet, although some were certainly trying by organizing patrols. She appreciated their efforts greatly, now that they didn't have a deputy to do that for them. Peering at Baybone curiously with her pale yellow eyes, Cardinalsong leaned closer almost conspiratorially. "How about you? What do you think of... what happened yesterday?" The sepia-furred warrior spoke quietly and calmly, trying to make sure no one else in camp could overhear them, almost like she thought the whole subject of... well, everything from yesterday, was just a taboo that shouldn't be spoken of. Besides, although she enjoyed his companionship, the she-cat had to admit Baybone was rather hard-to-read. Would he be upset that she mentioned it? Maybe he didn't want to talk about it, and she just totally ruined his day. Or maybe he absolutely loathed loners and was incredibly fired up about it? Cardinalsong had a feeling other cats, like Milkpaw, understood Baybone much better than she did - although... the way the two cats treated each other, it was hard to tell they had ever been close. She vaguely remembered seeing the two of them together, but nowadays they seemed to never be in each other's company. |

To be honest, he was kind of excited for training, something that wasn't too normal for him. Maybe it was just the fact that he could get away from his thoughts for a while and focus on work. He knew Icepaw always took her training seriously and sometimes he was jealous of her ambition and determination. The last two days were full of surprises for the apprentice.

Ðᴏʟᴄᴇ Joker *Spottedpelt* Icepaw viewed each and every cat that interrupted them with an exasperated glare. Even with Thornpaw trying to think of it as something good, it still bothered the she-cat. How come this border check she was even going to preform by herself became this big thing now? The apprentice drew her head away from his ear and shrugged tiredly. "Whatever, do what you all want." She mewed in a defeated voice as her tail lashed. She hated that this wasn't the border check that she was more than willing to do for her leader, but also couldn't deny that training would be fun. Well, not that the she-cat treated it as fun! StarClan forgive anyone who would think she thought training was fun. Training was about getting better and becoming stronger. Which Cedarstripes did help her with.. she had to suppose. Her blue eyes now looked up to her mentor pointedly with her annoyed expression. Could they just leave now?

Mama Soup i'm glad you joined btw ^.^ ] Duskriver felt a bit intrigued if anything by the surprise she flashed. Was it odd that he had decided to compliment her on the catch? Leafbare felt like it was coming to an end so the prey would be coming back but, well, it wasn't Newleaf yet! Catching anything in Leafbare should be considered something worthy of a compliment. The tom could only give her a smile once she found her words, waving his tail dismissively. "Maybe it does mean Leafbare is coming to an end," He mused the thought with a chuckle. His blue eyes moved from her to the mouse once again. "Suppose you would be up for another round? Maybe your luck can rub off on me." He offered Wrenwing now. He had only just woken not too long ago, and patrols seemed well taken care of so he wouldn't bother delving into those. Even if he really did enjoy just hanging around with his clanmates. But Wrenwing was a clanmate too! And a clanmate utterly alone. He added on the last part to himself. (Aww thanks! :3 That means a lot. I'm really happy I joined too! It has been really fun.
