Hello my darlings, mother deary has decided to jump in on the fun! I won't be getting any special prizes or offering up theories because, ha, I am the author. Everything that you all could ever want to know about Curse is right here in my giant brain. But, as well known as I am for being cruel and unfair, I can be merciful. Here on this page you will be finding some never before seen treasures. While you stalk this page, feel free to dig around and listen in on the Curse radio as we all celebrate this second Curse Marathon and Curse's four year anniversary!

-Fun Facts -
1. Originally I had no plans for the Cursed. It was just going to be Shadowface and her family who had freaky fire abilities.
2. The idea of more Cursed like Shadowface first came to me several chapters in. One day I re-read chapter one and was inspired to create another four Cursed: Red, green, yellow, and pink eyes.
3. Maskstar's attitude toward his children was taken directly from my own experience with my father and the frustration of not getting the attention/feedback I wanted from him. We are good now! x'3
4. The words of the curse were thought up on the spot during a role play that involved my OC Shadowface and my friend's OC Eaglefrost.
5. I had to ask permission to use Eaglefrost/curse and his parents Hawk and Sun since they were originally not my characters. They belonged to my forum friend/mate: » ｅａｇｌｅ.
6. Sweetlilly is a direct cameo for Sweet Kitty on the old forums who was actually » ｅａｇｌｅ's 'forum mate' before me! x'D
7. Cloudspots's sacrifice was directly inspired by my own mother's real life sacrifice. Don't worry, she isn't dead! :'P She's the strongest most giving woman I know.
8. Originally the tension between Shadowface and Eaglefrost was going to last much longer, but I was growing tired of writing them so negatively.
9. Shadowface's and Eaglefrost's period of aggression is a direct reference to the period when me and » ｅａｇｌｅ would constantly fight and bicker with each other. Amazing how we became so close in the end!
10. Most chapters in Curse were pre-planned and summarized before being written.
11. Most pre-planned chapters didn't come out exactly as planned.
12. The main reason why my chapters are so long? I tend to get inspired mid-chapter and end up writing a whole lot more that I didn't plan for. This happens almost every time I start a new chapter.
13. You can tell in Curse when I finally decided on the seven curses. That's when the number seven start's getting repeated.
14. At first, Curse was going to be a stand alone story, but as I wrote more I discovered what is now a seven book series titled Clans of the Valley/Fate of Fire. Thanks, Curse!
15. The reason the chapter "And Ice Breaks" is so short is because it is the one scene I spent the most time thinking about. I knew exactly how it would play out even before I posted Curse to the forums.
16. The ending to Curse has also been extremely thought over, planned, and imagined. But the fate of some of my main characters was in the air for most of the past four years.
17. Most of the characters in Curse and in most other CotV novels are OC's that I used to role play. The oldest include Shadowface, Darkmoon, and Icefeather (Spottedmoon's sister).
18. Originally, Shadowface was just going to have two kits with Rushstorm. A tom named Stormkit and a she-cat named Frostkit. I ended up taking names from the kits me and » ｅａｇｌｅ came up with for our OC's brood.
19. I took the "and" idea for my chapter titles from one of my favorite Twilight Fan-Fictions at the time.
20. At first the Curse soundtrack featured grunge/pop rock with very dark and depressing over tones, but because of my reader's input over the last four years it was slowly changed to what it was today! Thanks guys! <3
21. Snow was never in the original plan for the story. She was born thanks to my development of Spottedmoon in her CotV story: Dark Side of the Moon.

*This won't be like most commentary. I will be revealing all hidden eggs and gems while also exposing the stories own weaknesses and cliches. I hope your prepared for this madness. WARNING. If you are not fully caught up with Curse (or at least most of it) then you shuuld probably turn away, because this is SPOILERS. But, if you haven't read Curse and don't plan to, here is your chance to get the reduced version!*
PROLOGUE: And she pleads to the biggest liar in the series
Enter our huntress, the ever calm and level-headed Jadefox with a will like stone and the constant need to tell her mother that she's a BLEEPING liar.
Oh look! Speak of the devil, her mother has come to speak to her. GASP SHE'S A GHOST CAUSE SHE'S DEAD. That should be a big clue to how her family will end up.
Mother calls Jade "darling". Jade hates being called darling because she's grown up now and her mother is a BLEEPING liar.
Mother, also known as Shadowhunter, also known as Shadowliar, continues to calm her with LIES. LIES I TELL YOU.
But wait, mother pulls the victim card and makes Jade all warm inside. Aw. She's cursed so that's a bad thing. It's OK. You will know what I'm talking about once you get to chapter 31.
Jade wants to break the curse, mummy! She truly does!
Shadowliar urgently tells Jade what she needs to do and it is to NAME HER-
Oh. Whoops. Mother mysteriously exploded before she could reveal her secrets. Dead cat is dead again cliche.
Jade is now the character who constantly gets screwed over because her mother is a BLEEPING-
Ooh, look! A pretty sunrise over the valley! :'D Jade is inspired by cliche sunrises and vows to break the curse.
Little do the readers know that the cliche sunrise actually represents Jadefox's start on the path to her death. METAPHORS PEOPLE. I PUT THEM EVERYWHERE.
Watch out. I'M CRAZY!

The female lying hopelessly like a damsel in distress cliche. Except she's about to give birth and her eyes were taken out of her skull. And she's still growling at bad guy. Cliche broken cliche?

Dramatic grandmother foreshadows cliche. And mother dismisses it cliche. BUT LITTLE DO YOU KNOW THAT MOTHER IS ACTUALLY FIFTEEN THOUSAND STEPS AHEAD.
Mother gives her child an awful name cliche. We can sorta forgive Cloudspots here (aka mother) because she doesn't believe in this curse nonsense. But then we all secretly hate her later on when we find out that SHE KNEW MORE THAN WHAT SHE WAS LETTING ON.
