Elias
Elias just completed another obstacle course. He thinks he should probably start training with weapons, considering he seems pretty solid on the obstacle courses. But maybe he shouldn’t. Maybe he should get better at one thing. No. He must. This is about life or death. If he wants to live, he must train in everything. Elias stomps confidently over to the weapons. He is kind of familiar with most, but not all, and he’s certainly not good at them all. He picks up a dagger, but then see’s a girl with decently big hair hit close to the middle of a target. He puts the dagger down. He then picks up a sword and lets it lay in his hand. It seems a bit heavy, but he’ll try it anyway. He walks over to the targets lacking the confidence he previously had, then started to train. Leila
The thing that scares Leila the most about this girl is the slight resemblance to Tress. Yes, the stern voice and her creepily overboard words of how she was ‘born to kill’ did scare Leila a bit, but not as much as that. Leila doesn’t want to make her mad, so she settles on a subtle but slightly noticeable ignorance. “Um, thanks, I guess.” Leila really hopes this girl just leaves her alone. She doesn’t think she and her will make good teammates. She throws another knife. It hits in the same spot, but on the other side. Darn. Almost dead center.

(Ugh, I'll try finish my characters this weekend. I've been busy.) << That's completely okay! I know a lot of roleplays experienced a surge of inactivity as these past week(s) have been the starts of many schools and colleges. No rush! :-) >> Levi
After failing the obstacle, Levi stalked over to a bench to get some rest. The blood in his arms was like molten iron flowing through his veins, rendering them useless after he finished the intense workout. Despite the pain, he managed to overlap his underlying emotions with an expression of ease. He breathed slowly, watching other tributes file into the training center. We're live chess pieces in bread's game, except we're all against each other. Many tributes were huddled around a station that taught hunting, snaring, and fire starting. Levi paced over to the station, giving his muscles a break so that he could learn a few survival skills. For all he knew, nature could be his deadliest obstacle in the games. Ariana Another nice throw, Ariana thought, watching the knife embed itself deep into the dummy. This time the knife hit just right of the center- closer to the heart. Was that purposeful? It doesn't matter. After a few seconds of silence, Ariana drew one of her own knives from her belt- launching it at the target in one swift movement. A movement that she had practiced dozens of times before. The knife flies through the air, striking the dummy in the arm. No. She looks at the target in a deranged manner for a split second, but then composes herself. Eyes on the prize, Ari. The disheveled(emotionally) girl looked back at Leila, scoffing. She was obviously embarrassed, but only showed it through her anger. "It's too bad you wouldn't have the guts," she said finally, walking away to another station.

Elias
Elias just successfully ruined his hopes of becoming decent at the sword. He walks slumped over and grabs another weapon. He picks up the single bow and a quiver of arrows, then walks over to a target. He’s had little practice with it. He pulls his arm back, then closes his eyes. He thinks of his sister and her light blonde, curly hair. Her frown. He opens his eyes and lets the arrow lose. It hits the arm. Shoot. Elias looks around to make sure no one saw. Good. Time to try again.
Leila
After an extremely embarrassing throw, the career that was once talking to Leila insults Leila and storms away. Leila looks after with great unease. Should she speak? Should she let her be? Maybe if Leila doesn’t say anything, she will become a target. But if she does, she could become a target. Leila is known for her strange outwardness, but she decides to not take her chances. Either way, she’s believes she is now a target. She looks up at the career’s knife currently imbedded in the arm of the dummy. Ouch. Leila looks at the girl and feels a sinking feeling in her stomach.

David
Having just watched the entire encounter that Leila had with the slightly mad career tribute, David roused up the nerves to speak to her. He haTOd been observing many people during the first few hours of training, but hadn't approached anyone yet. To be quite honest, David was looking for an ally.
"Don't let her bother you," he began, a little quieter than he had intended. He spoke even quieter with his next words, not wanting anyone else to hear, "most of the careers are delirious hotheads, and I'm pretty certain she falls into that category." He showed a small grin, hoping that this girl had decided to cling onto at least some of her humanity after being reaped for the games.

Leila Another tribute approached Leila. She remembers his face, and thinks he might be from District 8. Good, he’s not a career. Maybe she can be friendly with him. But not to friendly, she reminds herself. Leila smiles back at him.
“Yeah…” she looks around to make sure there’s no one close enough to here her. There’s a guy a bit of a ways from the two, shooting the bow and arrow. “I can believe it after that encounter. I better head to the obstacle courses.” She nods and smiles again at the tribute, then heads toward the place in which she believes he came from.

David
David lit up inwardly when she suggested going to the obstacle course. He hadn't tried it yet, but was confident in his strength and coordination. He walked across the metal floor to one of the obstacle courses. This training facility was no joke. The colossal gymnasium was built underground, and it boasted various different obstacle courses, stations with specialized instructors at each one, holographic fighting simulators, large swimming pools that could simulate strong currents, and much more. Each tribute would always have something to do during their three days of training.
"Have you tried one of these obstacle courses before?" David asked, sounding timid. He tried to shake away his nerves as they made their way to the beginning. The first obstacle looked easy and simple- bars spaced evenly apart from each other that you would have to swing to to get across. The only thing that made him nervous was the drop, which had to be at least 10 feet. It might not look like much from below, but he was pretty sure this was how someone went about spraining their ankle.

Leila
The guy from District 8 followed Leila to the obstacle courses. She had been looking at him from the corner of her eye the entire way there. He’s kind of scary looking, and Leila really doesn’t want to make another person angry.
“Have you tried one of these obstacle courses before?” The tribute says. Before Leila could respond, they both arrive at a decently simple course. Just some bars to swing across. She looks at it up and down, almost forgetting that there was someone next to her. Leila starts to stretch out her fingers a bit before attempting it. She then realises she’s left the question in the air.
“Uh, no. Not yet, anyway.” Leila turns around and smiles at him, then steps up to the course. She climbs up and grabs the first bar. She starts to swing to gather momentum, then reaches the other bar smoothly before going to the next and the next. Each bar is underneath her hand quicker than the one before, and soon enough, Leila reaches the end and drops down. The drop is a bit farther than she had originally thought, so she lands a bit harshly on the ground. She lands on both feet, but stumbles a bit. She looks up at the last bar. Good thing she didn’t sprain her ankle.

David
David watched Leila make her way across the bars, wincing slightly when she landed. Simple enough, he thought, wrapping his fingers around the first bar. He waited in that position for a few seconds, but didn't want to show his fear in front of other tributes. The obstacle ended up being easier than he thought, and his long arms and legs purchased him a shorter fall.
Pacing over to where Leila was, the tall boy gazed around the vast room. It looked as though all of the tributes had arrived, but he couldn't be certain. A few careers were huddled in a small circle, occasionally looking around or even at a specific tribute. "Don't want to meet one of them in the games," he muttered, watching the careers.

Leila
Leila just watched the other tribute swing across the bars with the same ease as her. She heard him mumble something under his breathe, but couldn’t make it out. She turns around and looks up at the ceiling. There are ropes attached to it that span across a pretty large distance. She looks back at the boy from District 8 before attempting the difficult course. She widens her eyes a bit and laughs nervously, then turns around to look at the obstacle course. She steps up and cracks her knuckles, then begins the course. She reaches for the ropes, then grasp it tightly. She pulls herself up with ease and begins to scale the ropes. It takes a while, but she manages to to almost make it to the end before falling off. She falls and lands roughly once again, only to get up and brush herself off. She looks at where she came from, waiting for the person on the other end to join her.

David
David began walking over to Leila, but was interrupted by a loud ringing noise. What is that? He thought, gazing around at some of the other tributes. He noticed the source of the ringing just before it stopped- it was a survival skills station that was just beginning. There were at least ten tributes watching an instructor begin to demonstrate things. "I'm going to go check that out," he called to Leila, heading over to the station. Levi Having watched the survival skills instructor talk for a good hour, Levi heard a sharp ringing and knew that the next instruction was about to take place. It should be another lesson, but he didn't know if he had the patience to listen for another hour. Levi scanned the room, looking for something to train with. His eyes fixated on a holographic fighting simulator. There were currently about five tributes in that area- all of them looking much bigger than him. Eric The sound that his sword made when it sliced through the orange holograms was unusual, but he loved it. After a few more waves of holographic tributes, another career ended the simulation for him. He gazed angrily at the one who ended the simulation, but the fellow career seemed to be pointing to something.
No, someone. A small boy holding a recurve bow. How old is this kid? He stepped out of the simulation chamber with an air of anger around him. "You waiting for the simulator, kid?" He asked with a sneer, holding his sword up and pointing it at the small boy.

Leila
After a sharp ringing noise, the other boy yelled at Leila that he was going to check it out. She looks over to what he was talking about. An instructor is about to give a lesson. There are quite a bit of tributes hovering around the area, so Leila decides to pass. She looks over at a massive screen in another part of the gym. No one is there at the moment, so she decides to go check it out.
Elias
Elias watches as this extremely burly career begins to harass a small boy with a bow. Maybe I should intervene Elias thinks, but then decides against it. It to risky, after all. He diverts his attention over to the girl he had seen throwing a dagger previously. She’s heading toward what Elias believes to be practice memorizing edible and poisonous plants. He wants to join her, but decides not to. He looks back at the career and the boy with a bow. They are standing at the holograms. Elias has been secretly waiting for an open one for a good 30 minutes now. He decides to head over there despite the conflict.

Levi The face of the career that stood above him was menacing and cruel. Something about this person seemed... off. He batted away the flat of the blade with his hand, not wanting to get into a fight with a career. "Yes," he answered tersely, walking right past Eric. He tried to ease his nerves as he punched a few buttons on a pad.
Difficulty - Easy Medium HardWeapon - Sword Spear Bow Other Earlier today he had practiced archery at a shooting range not far from this simulator, yet he felt completely different having to strike a moving target. He notched an arrow into the bow, waiting for the simulation to begin. Orange, holographic figures appeared around him, each holding a different weapon. Why didn't I choose easy?
A spear sliced through the air towards him, and Levi dodged left just before it reached him. He breathed quickly, pulling back the string of the bow and releasing it without a second thought. The arrow flew harmlessly past one of the holograms. Might want to aim before firing next time, he thought, jumping to the side to dodge a holographic ax.
Too late. The ax hit him in the arm, ending the simulation. An awkward cackle interrupted his thoughts, and he saw Eric laughing at him from the other side of the glass. He walked out of the simulator, silently going to the back of the line.

Leila
Leila arrives at the big screen. Lots of squares appear on the screen. There’s a podium with buttons on it. Is this where I can practice memorizing? Leila thinks as she steps up to the screen cautiously. There’s only one way to find out. She presses the button to start, and immediately a ton of plants pop up. Shoot. Leila looks around and clicks a plant. It turns green, then disappears. Does that mean it’s edible? Leila hopes so. She clicks another plant. It turns yellow, and all the plants disappear. Leila looks around to make sure there’s no other tribute around, the begins her second attempt. She almost gets ten edible plants in a row, but two identical plants mix her up. Leila sighs. She turns around and looks at the area with the most tributes (other than the lesson). The holograms seem to be interestingly full. She just barely catches a boy looking at her from the line before he looks away. Creepy.
Elias
Elias was watching the tribute from what he thinks to be District 10 completely fail at memorizing the edible plants before the tribute-Leila-turned around and just caught his eye. He quickly turned around and looked straight ahead. He wants to have a go at the edible plants, but he’s already halfway through the lengthy line to the holograms. I should practice more on weapons. Elias begins to watch the tribute fighting the holograms.

Levi
Chess pieces in bread's game. The thought echoes aimlessly about Levi's mind as he advances in the line for the simulator. The recurve bow that he held in his left hand was wooden and elegant, it's surface smooth and cool to the touch. He brushed his fingers through the feathers of the arrows in the quiver on his back. If he closed his eyes now, he could imagine being back in District 11, but doing so was only false hope. No one his age had ever won the Hunger Games. What was the youngest age again... 15? He thought about the horrors of the games. Harsh climates, ruthless tributes, deadly gamemaker designs. How could anyone make it back alive? The person in front of him was tall and had to be at least a few years older than him. A large silver letter on the back of his training outfit read '5'. What luck he had. Throughout the districts, there was almost always discomfort when much younger tributes were chosen(usually 12 or 13). He remembered what had happened on the day of the reaping. Murmurs of disagreement or statements of these rigged games. Out of everyone in his district, he had to have been one who was least likely to be chosen. The line moved onward, and Levi watched as it became the turn of the person in front of him.

Elias
Elias steps inside to begin his training. He holds with him a dagger, which he forced himself to chose even after watching that girl Leila hit so close to center with it on her first try. He choses easy. Even though it won’t be easy during the Games, I gotta start from somewhere… Elias thinks to himself. He shakes out his shoulders, then takes stance. A single holographic tribute pops up with a dagger as well. It lunges at Elias, but he had already begun to dodge the clumsy attack. He thrust inwards with his dagger, but the hologram blocks it and does the same. Elias side steps, then grab the holograms arm. This was a mistake, because as soon as he did that the holograms fist appears in his face. The hologram shuts down. Wow. Failed on easy. Elias walks to the targets without even looking at any other tribute. He can hear chuckles behind him, but continues to shuffle forward. I must train much, much more. For my sister.

Levi
Levi watched Elias curiously during his fight with the hologram, flinching slightly when the hologram succeeded in hitting him. The boy might be older than him, but he didn't seem any more experienced with weapons than himself. He looked back at the line behind him(which consisted mostly of careers) before moving on towards the holographic simulation. Easy this time, he told himself inwardly, punching in the correct buttons before advancing into the simulation. The person appeared quickly, but Levi was ready. He pulled back the string of his bow, aiming at the chest of the hologram that advanced at him with a knife. The flew triumphantly through the hologram, bringing it to pieces. He notched another, looking around.
A knife whizzed past his ear, making Levi turn around quickly with the bow pulled back fully. He let the arrow fly, but it missed the hologram. The hologram advanced on Levi with a sword in hand, and Levi sidestepped out of most of its attacks. He pulled a knife from his belt and stabbed the side of the hologram once he found an opening.
That's two, Levi thought, glancing around the room before glimpsing a flash of orange. A notched an arrow and pulled it back, aiming the bow in the direction he had seen the orange flash. An arrow flew straight into his back, ending that simulation.
Come on! He thought angrily, inwardly punching himself for not being more observant.

Ossa | D. 8 / 14 Ossa woke early in the morning, after not quite a restful nights sleep, but instead of heading to training she began to halfheartedly amuse herself with the capital's gadgets. Once she had explored her entire room, she finally got dressed and slipped into the hallway to head downstairs. Feeling the knot in her stomach growing again, she stepped into the elevator and closed her eyes, after pushing the button for her destination. She still hadn't gotten used to the falling sensation the elevator brought, but at that time she wished the ride would last forever.
Kellen | D. 9 / 16 Kellen woke up late. He hadn't expected to be able to sleep that night, but apparently his body had other ideas. He took a quick shower and dressed just before training started, making his way to the elevator for the training area. When the elevator stopped at the bottom, Kellen took a quick look around at the different practicing areas and the other tributes who were already practicing. Kellen had practiced in every weapon he could get his hands on since he turned twelve, mostly for his own peace of mind, though he always ended up teaching a few of the younger kids in his district in the months before the reaping. The only one he had never figured out was a sword, but he decided it wasn't time to try again. Wandering over to the none-weapon areas, he stopped by the survival skills area and began watching the demonstrations while he considered what he should actually practice.

<< Awesome! I'll be sure to add you once you get them up :-) >> Levi
After that round of the simulation ended, Levi knew he had had enough for now. He exited the simulation chamber, walking past the line - which consisted mostly of careers - and putting the recurve back in its place. He peered at some of the other bows, admiring their elegance. However deadly it may be, the bows on the rack were all such beautiful objects. After a few more moments of examining them, Levi picked up another recurve- this one made of a light, flexible metal. He brought the new bow and quiver over to a target.
Time to play bread's game.

((So I was looking through the names to make sure that no one had a character whose name would be the same as mine, and... One of the characters has my brother's name. XD))
Name - Kairos "Kai" Copeland Gender - Male Age - 16 District - 10 Appearance - Kai is large for his age, standing at around 6'0" with thick muscles and broad shoulders from spending so much time working with the farm animals in District 10. His skin is a dark tan, almost covering up the freckles that dot his nose and cheeks. Kai's hair is a dark brown, almost black, color and his eyes are the same shade of dark brown. His hair falls so that it is just above his eyes. Personality - Kairos is a quiet soul, tending to hang to himself and not speaking his mind. He likes to wait and listen to others as they argue, and then maybe pipe in at the last moment. Of course, when he does pipe in, he can get into some fairly heated arguments. He isn't afraid to push someone's buttons and because of this, he has been in many fights, although they don't typically last long. Strengths - He's strong, fair and square. He knows how to hunt and skin an animal. Weaknesses - Kai has very little know how when it comes to actual fighting -- like with weapons, or even fighting in general. He also doesn't exactly have the heart to kill, so he is going into the Games fully suspecting to die. Other - Necklace, please? ^.^"
