(Hey Rain! I have Redwind open and Stormflash)
Silverdawn sighed as she turned back towards camp, waiting for Adderfang. "Do you think Tricklestone has made a camp out here already?" She asked the tom, tilting her head as she frowned. Even being out now, she knew that both she and Adderfang could be being watched by the exiled cat and his followers.

Silverdawn kept close to Adderfang, her blue eyes scanning the forest. Even next to the large tom, she still feared that they would be overpowered. Still, she held her head high, her fur puffed out to make her seem bigger. "As long as he doesn't try anything," she said, a fierce determination in her voice.

Aldersoar paused as heard rustling in nearby bushes. The warrior grew tense and eyed them with suspicion until the familiar face of Hawktalon poked out. He sighed, seeming a bit relieved and padded up to the other tom. “Hawktalon... Good to finally see you again...” He mumbled then paused as he scented the air. “Is Tricklestone with you?” He asked. (I did c: Here’s my reply)

(Sure! c:)
Stormflash emerged from the warriors den, the dark tom's eyes bright with energy. He wasn't able to rest much, eager for the night's trip with Ebonystar and Brambleflight. As he sat by himself in the clearing, he focused his gaze on the entrance, thoughts running through his head. Would they be attacked? Would Tricklestone try and take a life from their leader?

( вєвє Is Tricklestone with him? XD ) Eaglescreech hadn't been able to sleep either, with all that had been going on. He had paced camp for awhile, with Hazelnutfur nearby, and Brackentangle sitting in the warriors den, also awake, but wishing for sleep. The little family was concerned for their father. Eaglescreech looked up as he sat by the entrance of the warriors den, noting Stormflash striding past him and going to sit in the clearing. His eyes slightly narrowed he followed after his friend, stopping alongside him and giving him a cautious, questioning look. "... Rough day." He meowed after a silence. "Congrats on being an elect, of course. You'd make a fine leader, and I have to admit I'm a little jealous." He added, with only a hint of merriment before his face became rather dull and worried again.

Stormflash turned as he heard another set of paw steps, and nodded his head in agreement with Eaglescreech. "It has," he agreed, his ears flattening in concern. "Frostfern and Eaglefeather should be okay though." He tried to sound optimistic, but it was clear the tom was worried. Smiling sheepishly, he shook his head at his friend. "Thanks," he said, flicking one ear up. "If I ever make it to leader you know you're one of my choices." For a split moment he gave Eaglescreech a goofy grin, before his eyes drifted off to Hazelnutfur. "How is everyone?" He asked in a lower tone, expressing concern for his friend and his kin. He couldn't imagine how Hawktalon's kits felt, and Stormflash still couldn't believe that Hawktalon helped Tricklestone.

((Good morning everyone. Ima just throw my cats back in here *got bored of waiting for someone to want to RP*
Long story short: Daisypetal and her kits find Redmoon dead in the den, Shadowpaw finds out and goes to tell Ebonystar.))
Squirrelkit and Sparrowkit bounded ahead of their mother, occasionally taking swipes at one another as they headed towards the elder’s den. They had quickly grown to love Redmoon, constantly bugging Daisypetal to go see her and hear her stories. Not that the old queen minded - she was happy to see her kits so excited to be a part of the clan, especially given their reluctance at first.
Her amber eyes followed the kits as they disappeared into the old log that the elder’s slept in, a small chuff of amusement escaping her as she heard the kits trying to rouse the elder from her sleep.
Wait. Why wasn’t Redmoon responding, despite the kits calling out louder? The queen picked up her pace, knowing something was wrong. As she set paw in the den, her eyes widened. Her kits were both by Redmoon, as usual. But the elder was laying still despite their now desperate wails for her to wake up.
Daisypetal instantly knew what had happened. Padding over to her kits, she pulled them close. ”Hush, my dears.” Her voice threatened to break with the sorrow she felt, though she knew she couldn’t let it if she were to be able to comfort her kits. ”She’s gone to join her mate in Starclan, remember how she told you about that?” An anxious purr rose in her chest - though she wasn’t entirely sure of the existence of Starclan, she knew that her kits now believed in it. As did the clan cats.
And it helped calm her kits. As she moved them out of the den, Sparrowkit looked up at her. ”B-But...” He began quietly, then started wailing again. ”I want her here!” She tried shushing him once more, looking up and around the clearing. She had wanted to tell someone what happened as quickly as possible, but her paws were full. Then she spotted a black tom padding towards her cautiously, her eyes brightening.
- - -
Shadowpaw had been searching for his mentor, Mudtooth, to ask to be trained once more. Ever since the clan had been torn apart by the argument against those not born in the clan, the large apprentice had been doing everything he could to prove himself. It didn’t help that both he and his best friend were not born in the clan, and that Mudtooth was one of the cats against them. But Shadowpaw was determined. He wouldn’t let something like that stop him from pestering his mentor for more training.
However, the wailing of a kit would. The black cat instinctively turned and moved towards the noise, stopping only when he realized two things. One, he was not good with kits. At all. They were too small for him to do anything with them, other than hurt them. And two, the kits were the ones recently brought into the clan. Mudtooth would not be happy if he were to go help them.
But the look in the old queen’s eyes was desperate as they scanned the camp. Something was wrong. So after taking a quick glance around the camp himself, Shadowpaw began slowly moving towards the queen. ”Is something wrong?” He asked softly when Daisypetal looked at him, her eyes full of sorrow. She gave him the news, her voice breaking.
For a moment, Shadowpaw felt as though his whole body were being crushed under a rock, the sounds around him fading as his heart began to sink. The next, he was flying across the camp, calling out for Ebonystar. Though the whole clan needed to know that Redmoon had died, the young apprentice knew she would want to be the first one he told.
((I’m assuming the Shadowpaw that’s under Mudtooth’s ‘apprentice’ section is mine? If not, just ignore that part and pretend his caution is only due to the fact that he’s not good with kits :3))

"No, he's gone on ahead." Hawktalon replied, his eyes narrowed into slits. "... How are the guards?" He asked next.

RP: Ebonystar jolted out of her nest and went running out of the den, seeing Daisypetal at the elders den she felt constrict. No... "Mama?!" She called out like a kit and sprinted into the den watching as the kits stood beside her. "Mama... no..." She walked slowly to the old sheets cold form, "Mama?" She whispered as she took in the sheets familiar scent though when she pressed her nose to her mother's cheek it was cold, thats when the tears began to fall and she silently cried into her mothers fur her body shaking in anguish at the lost of her mother.

"That's at least good." Eagelscreech said with a sigh as he thought about the two injured guards. He looked at the ground as Stormflash spoke, a dry grin on his face as he mentioned he'd choose him as deputy if he made it to leader. The smile was soon gone once again, just as before, as, after looking for a moment at Stormflash, he frowned.
"Thanks... andddd we are as well as possible in the situation. I think my younger siblings are sleeping alright, I still have to check up on them... Brackentangle won't tell me anything, and Hazelnutfur's been worried sick." He muttered, looking towards the warriors den through dark eyes. He let out a long, frustrated sigh. ".... Neither my father nor Brackentangle knew anything about Tricklestone's treachery, and I want the clan to know that." He added hurriedly, as he looked, a bit of coldness in his eyes, back at his friend.
"They both honestly believed the influx of outsiders being accepted into the clan was too much. In some ways, I partially agreed, but not to chase out the cats already here. Ebonystar just should have been more cautious, especially after how our mother died."
Shaking his head he looked over to the leader's den, his eyes surprised to see Shadowpaw hightailing for it as if a gator was after him. He sat up as he noticed this, and flicked Stormflash's shoulder with his tail, motioning with a paw towards Shadowpaw. "Looks like something else might have happened." He muttered with frustration.
Just as he finished, Ebonystar came running out, and he felt the fur on his spine rise as he heard the leader's almost kit like shouting for Redmoon.

Thrushwing padded over, her pace quick, but slowing as she reached the grieving leader. She had heard the shout and wanted to be sure no one was injured. As she spotted Redmoon lying still her eyes looked pained, and she went to stand next to Ebonystar. She place a paw over her leader's shoulder and said softly. "... These last few days have been hard on her.... If only I'd known how hard. I'm so sorry for your loss, Ebonystar. For the clans' loss."

RP: Ebonystar nodded releasing a shaky long sigh as she squeezed her eyes shut, "She... is with my father now... she will be happier there then down here." She said then carefully lifted her mother's form and bringing it outside the den for the clan to pay their respects to the great warrior Redmoon is and to send her soul to star clan.

Daisypetal felt her heart break as she heard and saw Ebonystar grieving for the loss of her mother. Padding over to her leader - despite the situation, she couldn't help but feel a bit of pride at that thought - she brushed her pelt against the younger cat's, gently helping her carry the elder's body into the clearing. Though she had not been part of the clan long, she couldn't help but feel pain at the loss of Redmoon. And she knew that nothing she said would be able to stop the hurt in Ebonystar's heart. No comforts of 'She's in Starclan now.' or 'I'm so sorry.' would help, no matter how genuine.
She continued grieving in silence, even as her kits joined her in pressing their muzzles against Redmoon's ragged pelt.
---
Shadowpaw stopped as he saw Ebonystar enter the elder's den, feeling a heaviness in his paws once more as he heard her crying out for her mother. Though behind the hurt he felt for the clan's loss, there was worry. What would happen to the clan now? Would their leader be strong enough to continue the fight against her brother. He stared at the old log that was the elder's den until he saw the leader bringing her mother's body out to the clan. She looked like she would be OK, but he could only imagine what it was like to lose a parent.

OCC: Redmoon is now... Officially retired.... RP: Ebonystar pulled away as Adderfang and Silverdawn entered the camp she met her brother's eyes and the tom stopped in mid sentence and slowly moved closer to find his mother's still form on the ground with the clan paying respect to her. "Mama..." He said softly his voice soft like a kit as he bent down by her head and licked her ear and placing his head against hers. Ebonystar looked away her heart breaking at the sight of her little brother saying goodbye to her mother.

Finchchirp and Thrushwing gathered sweet smelling herbs from their den, the ones they usually brought to the cats during a vigil. They remained silent as they laid them around their fallen clanmate.

Stormflash watched Nutmegfur, a frown playing on his face as he listened to Eaglescreech. "I believe you," he murmured to the tom as he looked back at him. "I know Brackentangle and Hawktalon aren't the fondest of outsiders...but I don't think they would ever try and hurt their clan-mates." He meant what he said, but his eyes narrowed as he thought of the cats allowed into clan. "I don't know..." he trailed off as he heard Ebonystar's cries, and immediately he was up on his paws. "Another bad thing? So soon?" He whispered, his blue eyes blazing. As he heard the leader's calls for Redmoon, sadness shone on his face. "Redmoon..." he whispered, bowing his head in grief for their lost clan-mate.
Silverdawn stopped in her tracks as she entered camp, watching as Adderfang moved towards Ebonystar. Following behind slightly, in her eyes widened in shock as she saw the lifeless form of Redmoon. She slowly crept towards her own siblings, grief clear in her face. Redmoon had been loved by her and her brothers, and to see the motherly she-cat dead hurt her. Poor Ebonystar and Adderfang, losing their mother after losing their brother, she thought to herself.

(( I am crying. On the inside. )) Pumpkinflower woke with a fright in the warrior's den, her fur bristling as the fear from her dream lingered. She struggled to remember what had happened, but the commotion in the camp distracted her and it slipped away. taking a moment to stretch, the she-cat slipped out of the den, curious as to what all the noise was about. Her eyes widened as she saw the limp, red-furred figure in the middle of camp, Adderfang and other cats hunkered near it. Once the initial shock passed, she padded over to the body, pressing her muzzle into the elder's fur to say goodbye. The distinct scent of death washed over her, numbing the feeling in her paws. "Another star in siverpelt." She muttered softly. As she lifted her head, she looked to Ebonystar and Adderfang, sorrow in her eyes. She didn't know what to say, but knew something was better than just leaving. "I know this doesn't help the hurt, but she hunts with Starclan now." She then backed away, leaving room for more cats to come and say their goodbyes. --- Daisypetal followed her friend's example and moved away from Redmoon's body. Seeing her kits still pressing their noses into the elder's fur, she turned and looked at Pumpkinflower. "Should I get them to come over here as well?" She asked quietly, tail twitching anxiously. She hadn't been able to learn much of clan customs. The orange tabby shook her head. "I don't know what they do here, but typically when grieving, those close to the cat sit vigil through the night to say one last goodbye before the deceased joins Starclan." Looking at those still gathered around Redmoon, she let out a distressed sigh. "She was like a mentor to them. I'm sure if you asked, Ebonystar would let them be at the vigil."Daisyfur nodded and began to make her way over to her leader, noting her friend heading over to the medicine cat den. ((I gotta go eat dinner - is it alright is Pumpkinflower does the herbs that the elders usually do for bodies before the vigil?))
