Ollie's eyes narrowed. "Then where is it?" He eyed Orion's pocket as he approached. That was where he last seen the orange glimmer of a crystal. He let his vision come back into focus and stopped a few feet in front of Orion.

โNo where for-โ Orion started, but was interrupted.
โThe bloodstone is no longer in Orionโs capacity,โ the creature mentioned, before the apathetic face turned to look at Orion โHe can no longer use itโs power,โ the voice almost sounded angry, but the expression was the same.
โHOLLOW, transport ownership to Ollie,โ Umbra spoke, standing up, glancing at the creature.
A blank look fell over the creature, Hollowโs, face, before morphing into a stern look once more, โThe settings change has been completed,โ they turned to look at Ollie, โSalutations, Ollie, I am HOLLOW, the homunculus of life, lemure of worlds. I have also been titled as Bloodstone,โ it commented blandly.
Orion seemed to break free of the hold Hollow held over him, and his gaze glared back, โOllie, I have many many Shades,โ He started, before cracking a sick grin, โYou really think their world was the first?โ He seemed to vanish from thin air, reappearing behind Ollie, as he leaned in to whisper, โAnd guess whose is next?โ
He backed up slightly, glaring at Umbra, before snorting, โI always hated my baby sister, so arrogant, always too naive and trusting. She was never the innocent party. But now that sheโs out of the way, I kind of wish she was back. Iโd love to see the look on her face when all of her hard work feel to pieces, especially when I kill her precious friends.โ

Fury was just beginning to recover from Ollie's attack, and he lifted his gaze only to have a bright light shine right into his eyes by Shadow. With a hiss, he threw his arms over his eyes and backed up.
(Would the orange crystal be back on Orion or on the floor still? :3 I could have him stumble upon it if it's on the floor.)
Ollie glanced at HOLLOW and Umbra, blinking in confusion and surprise as HOLLOW apparently switched ownership and introduced itself. So the bloodstone had been helping him all along. He opened his mouth to respond in some sort of way, but Orion's words interrupted him and Ollie's head whipped back to face him- or at least where he had been a moment ago. He must've broken free! Suddenly a chilling whisper behind him made his heart shudder. He whirled around, but Orion was already backing up. "You're sick!" Ollie spat, shaking his head. No matter how hard he looked, he couldn't seem to find a shred of good in the man. When Orion continued, Ollie's gaze darkened into a glare. He didn't think he ever would. "Over my dead body," he rumbled, his voice more menacing than it had ever been before. Ollie lunged forwards, his gaze flashing blue for a moment with another peak of his power. His metal fist was arcing from the side to strike Orion in the face.

Orion watched in sick humor, he hadnโt grabbed the orange crystal back, though his gaze lingered on Ollie, becoming deadpan at his comment about over his dead body, โI think you missed the point,โ he pointed out, before dodging, though he laughed. โFinally, youโre starting to act like I would, come on, Ollie, you can join me.โ He outstretched a hand then, grin on his face, like he already knew the response would be rejected.
โI have detected many forms approaching, Master. The most probable outcome of survival is to leave soon.โ HOLLOW addressed Ollie, and beside the lemure, Umbra nodded.
โThe best foreseeable future comes if we leave now. If not, one of us may die in the coming conflict, Orion wonโt be as powerful without the sunstone, now that itโs back with itโs rightful owner. And without the Bloodstone, he wonโt be able to destroy this world yet.โ
Shadow looked terrified, gaze focused on Fury. โWell, we gotta make a decision soon!โ She cried out, unwilling to take her eyes off of Fury, โI already feel Orion, heโs gaining his strength back. I donโt know how...but heโs still controlling the Shades.โ She commented.

Ollie took a few steps back and fixed Orion with a glare that more than said the answer. He listened to the others without looking at them. They were right. More had been achieved today that Ollie had really expected. He'd have to personally thank Umbra and Hollow afterwards. There was only one way he could think of to get out of this situation, but first they had to get some distance. "Everyone retreat! Out the door!" Once they had some distance from Orion and Fury, they could do it. He only hoped the other shades wouldn't be too close yet. Ollie backed further away from Orion before turning and running for the door. The others were closer, so they'd probably get there first.
Fury was turned away from Shadow, his eyes recovered just enough to roughly see the room. He blinked further into the room, trying to find another vantage point to see the door.

(Hey, just letting you know, I did mention in Orionโs post that he snatched the orange crystal back.
And good morning :3.)
Shadow nodded, running towards the door alongside Umbra, there wasnโt much argument from her.
HOLLOW remained behind, staring at the blood and mangled body in the corner. With the door open, it was easier to see, though she turned too look at Ollie, โI can hold them back,โ she offered, not sounding quite as mechanic this time, but still keeping as passive face.
โShades, attack!โ Orion yelled out angrily, bringing himself to a stand, out of the darkness, many shades appeared, up to numbers close to a hundred.

Artemis Moon: Hey, if youโre on anytime soon, would you like to RP? Also, Iโve finally made progress on making a character page. So if anyone could get my pictures of their characters hero/civilian forms, that would be great :3.)

(Ooh. I've created a page on the art forum with all my characters. If you want the image links I can send them to you. :3 Ollie's image needs updating, but the others are mostly up to date. I don't have characters like Fury, Ringo, and Zabyty drawn yet. Soon.)
"You don't need to. Not this time! I have a plan!" Ollie didn't know what or who HOLLOW was other than having something to do with the bloodstone, or how exactly she was connected to Holly, but he wasn't about to to leave her behind now. If HOLLOW was with them, they couldn't afford to lose her now. Not when there was any other possible option. Focused on HOLLOW and the door, he never saw the body in the corner. "Come on! Everyone meet at the other side. Stick together."
The door opened, letting in more light, and Fury had to pause and cover his eyes with an arm. He had to let his eyes adjust. It shouldn't take long with the light as weak as this. He could feel the other shades gathering behind him and something within him cried out in delight and challenge. The enemies were done for.

Hollow watched him, pausing for a moment with wide eyes, though it didnโt hold, they nodded, โYes, Master.โ They obeyed, or rather, she obeyed, as she turned to run out. Her hand flew by it, red shooting out towards Fury, the same as what she used on Orion earlier, a way to control him, keep him still. Meanwhile, the others all nodded.

There! His eyes had adjusted. Finally! Fury began to blink, but something stopped him partway through blinking. Fury was still, as if frozen in time.
Ollie was the last one to make it to the other side of the door, and he slammed it closed on his way through. He spread out his metal arm, his hand open and his cloak spread out. "Grab on. I don't care where, just do it. Quickly." There was no time to worry about the consequences of his rash decision. This was the only way he could think of, to get all of them out safely.

Shadow shook her head, rejecting as she vanished into thin air herself. She refused to burden him.
โThatโs not a good idea,โ Umbra clarified, before glancing up, โWe need to get to the top floor. Thatโs the best way out.โ
Hollow nodded, โWe will need to hurry,โ she commented, before walking down the hall, โThe top story is just beyond the roof access to the right, please hurry.โ She commented, looking back at the room. She turned away, looking at Ollie once more, before taking off running alongside Umbra.

Ollie looked at them all in surprise when they refused. His arms lowered back to his sides. "Top floor?" he echoed, confused. "Why the to-" but HOLLOW interrupted him, before quickly heading away with Umbra. He supposed they knew the place better than him. They could know something that he didn't. There was no time for debate. He raced after them, wincing and clutching his right arm as he ran.

"Don't go underestimating your opponent now" Masaki warned "I highly doubt you would actually attack them one by one though. From what little I've gathered you would want me to feel the pain of not being able to save another person maybe even watch how my face changes as the despair comes over it or would that be too dark even for you?" He asked as he kept trying to think of something he could do but he couldn't think of one that could guarantee their safety. His best plan would be tomake a wall of flames around him and Boris but he didn't want to chance Boris attacking anyone. Masaki's shoulders slumped as the flames around him went out. "Bastard, you better hope we never meet again or I'm going to roast your sorry ass" he said "I'll keep that in mind." Boris replied with a grin. He knew something was going to work. And to be quite frank,he didn't know or care what it was. Don't get too relaxed there buddy, this pyrokinetic's probably got something up his sleeve, best not let your guard down."I would suggest leaving now you prick before I change my mind and scorch you until not even your ashes are left" he said with a scowl on his face. "And wipe that sorry ass grin off your face. It makes me want to puke" he added. Masaki hated the decision he was making currently. He didn't know what Boris would do as soon as he left here, he just hoped he wouldn't go killing more people

Shadow watched as they left, she looked back though, Orion was still there. And she didnโt trust Hollow, though the creature brought up sad memories.
Umbra, well, Cassie, as it fit now, raced up the stairs to the top floor, the roof access which overlooked the whole building. A fall from this height could kill. Her gaze focused ahead, on a roof just across the alley, just about a story less than the one they were on. She waited for Ollie, glancing at the next building. โOur best escape is this way,โ she commented, before clarifying, โWeโll have to jump.โ
Hollow stopped, freezing slightly as she laughed, which was odd. โWait, Excuse me, what?โ she questioned, turning to glare at Cas. It was the first time she did anything other than being helpful or talking when asked.

(Anything I want? Okay, you may regret it XD jk,ihope) The lights upon the ceiling didn't provide enough light. Only the spotlights upon the sandy floor lit anything up, highlighting the spectacle in the center of the room. A lowered, circular, sandy pit had been dug out. The small arena was surrounded by chain fence, and on the other side, wild animals watched their fighter battle it out with another, spilling blood upon the desert-like floor and made bets upon their fate. This was Tedekka, an underground fight arena. The idea was simple- take kids with mutations and have them fight like dogs. Generally, the club preferred to have abnormally mutated kids battle it out, mutations that generally turned them ugly or maniac, or worse, without humanity. But the current champion was not that. Maxwell was only slightly mutated- a single horn jut out of his right temple, and a flightless black leathery wing hung from his back. He was well built, despite being small in stature. His eyes might be considered more reptilian than human, and every tooth was canine-like. Ending with black scales all along his right arm from the shoulder to his hand, this was the extent of his mutation. But the crowds loved him. Something about the way he fought honorably, or how he spat at the circus-master who initiated every fight caused him to be adored by the very people he hated. The only time he showed emotion other than contempt was in a duel- his eyes widened and narrowed, and his lips curled into a smile that showed his fangs.
Tonight was special. Maxwell was to be unseated, if the ads were to be believed.
Maxwell entered the ring, tossing aside his white jacket again to show the many scars he'd earned in this very same room over the course of nearly 100 fights. His wing fluttered behind, and his gaze scoured the crowd.

"A bit bold, but not a bad idea with good timing," Blink commented, ignoring the challenging look in her gaze. He looked out over the road. Too early and the truck could change its route. Too late and the medicine could be crushed. "I can get us to the truck quickly. Then once we're there..." Blink reached into a pack at his side and tossed her a couple smoke grenades. "For cover, when we get it and go. You have an escape route planned?" Katie held the grenades with a surprised look. She hadn't thought he came as prepared as she. In other words, she'd underestimated him, it seemed. "Of course. There's a jetski just ten meters from the dock down there." Her hand gestured to a small family dock, and upon close inspection, among the reeds, was in fact a blue jetski. "We blow the bridge, steal the medicine in the chaos, and escape down the river."

(Do you want my character to be who fights him, or just a viewer, or what? Because literally anything works :3.) (I left that open for you just to givr you as many options as possible. If your character is a fighter, they can break out together. If your character is a viewer, maybe they decide to buy Maxwell? Basically get him out of there in exchange for him being a bodyguard or something.)

(I was going to go viewer, but I just had a cute idea for the character while keeping them the same, so Iโm going with that.)
Okay, So this wasnโt what Lennox expected.
She, just a while ago, was running around the streets, scrapping for food and frowning when she came up empty. Then she was caught, again, by weirdos, and now she was basically back where she started.
So, not like she was complaining or anything, but it kind of sucked.
She didnโt know where she was, why she was there, or what they wanted. All she really knew is she was back in a cage. So she left it at that and didnโt let herself stress about it.
But now, now the orange haired girl was in the actual arena. Her orange hair fell partly over her face, and to the sides, covering her ears. Black stripes lined horizontally in her hair, and fangs bared as she smiled slightly, staring up nervously. She looked, for the most part, like a wierd kid, except for those scarlet eyes of her, almost the color of blood. Her nails looked unusually sharp, she almost seemed foxlike, without the ears and tail. She even walked graciously, though almost timidly.
Other than that, she had a few swirl-like designs on her skin, with the designs being black, a few appeared on her cheeks. Mostly, she looked almost normal, no spikes, or wings visible. But still, for many reasons, she was considered a potentially dangerous creature.
She almost jumped as one of the guards pushed her into the ring, she turned around, glaring, โHey!โ She snapped, though her gaze fell on Maxwell, and she gulped. He didnโt look very nice to her, and she was a very tiny little thing, only a teen. If sheโs didnโt know what to do before, the chants of โfightโ pushed her to know what this was.
She, however, stayed in place.

Maxwell: Fight! Fight! Fight! It was nearly insufferable, the constant chanting for combat. Normally, as my opponent entered and I sized them up, my instincts would begin to kick in and other noises would begin to fade out. But I can't dissociate at this point. All my foes, everyone who stands against me, has been powerful and formidable. The girl who now stands before me is not. She must have some hidden skill that makes her dangerous. Otherwise, this would be a slaughter, and they'd never let that happen.
I raise my hand. The room goes quiet, and I smile inwardly at the command I hold within this room. It's satisfying, holding such respect as to quiet an arena.
"I am Maxwell." I declare to my opponent, trying to size her up further. Have my eyes deceived me in deeming her not a threat?

Lennox found herself backing up slightly, though when the room went silent, she stared up, red eyes wide. She stared back at him, raising her eyebrows when he said his name.
โOh, um, hello,โ she started, though she stood at the ready, โMy nameโs-โ she paused, staring up, though not in fear, just in hesitance, โNox,โ she finished.
It was then that she stepped closer, tipping her head, like a curious animal, โHow long have you been here?โ She questioned, curious. She seemed curious, almost completely lacking of anything deceptive or threatening. Other than those sharp fangs and nails, and she didnโt seem to make any threatening gestures. She was rather calm actually.

Maxwell:
"My, aren't you refreshing?" I chuckle, bringing my hand up to my head and brushing back the hair in front of my face. My chuckle becomes full on laughter for a few moments, and I only just comfort myself to speak again.
"Excuse me. I've been in here too long to count, and fought too many fights. How about you? How long have you been here?" I stare with a smile, a genuine one this time. Her innocence is admirable, her smile, contagious. I've trusted my instincts in my head for long enough, and the more I think on it, the more I believe that my heart ought to kind this encounter. And I know I'll never brew any hate for her.

Lennox found herself smiling still, though words flickered in her head, too trusting, Lennox, donโt make that mistake again But she ignored it, because she couldnโt do much else.
โAm I?โ She questioned, offering a wider smile, โI hope thatโs a good thing.โ
Though, her face turns to a frown. Her treatment wasnโt good thus far, she had been caged, and almost starved since she arrived, what had he been through? Though she refused to stay visibly upset, tapping her foot into the ground, โJust got here, I guess they were desperate.โ She commented with a shrug. She was sour, yet again, but a life of pain and sorrow brought her to appreciate the kindness in life, so she did. Dwelling on sad stuff just made things worse.
The girl, about 16 years old, then smiled at him, โThey seem to like you though,โ she commented, looking up at the crowd.

I don't award the crowd with my gaze. I know they'd eat it up. "I'm afraid they do. But I'm very much bored of them. How'd you like to get out of here, Nox?" The name was as sweet and curious as she, and I could only offer her my sincerest smile as I begin walking towards her, arms open.
In my whole time within this Hell, finding honor and duty were near-impossible. So why think about honor? I've certainly lost the right to call myself honorable at this point. But maybe I can find my destiny in protecting this little girl. Her bright spirit should shine outside of this pit.

โIโd like that very much.โ She said it more for him than herself. She was used to cages and being trapped. She didnโt think she could be free no matter how hard she tried. But he? How long had he even here?
โMaxwell, how old are you? How long have you been here?โ She questioned then, concerned. If he was young like her, then how did he survive like this? And if not, had he lived his whole life in a cage? She felt budding concern, an empathy that was unique. She seemed to already befriend him, but she trusted so easily.

Maxwell:
To answer her question would cause her to pity someone not worth it. I shake my head and glance towards the door, where the guards are itching to enter. I smile at their ignorance; we're not going to be exiting that way. I've been saving a little something, training in secret and preparing for this day. I'm not at full strength yet, but this is exactly where I need to do this.
I smile reassuringly, and turn my head to the wall to my right. The chain fence is rusty, basically falling apart here- I'd know, I nearly threw an opponent through it a day ago. I take a deep breath, puff up my cheeks, and as I open my lips, a massive wave of flame belches forth. Not a simple strain, like that of a flamethrower. No, this is a wall of flame, melting the wall and scorching those standing behind it. My human hand grabs Nox's, and my scaled arm reaches out and tears at the wall so it falls apart. An escape route.

Lennox frowns, sheโs going to get her response, sheโs sure of that. Though, to be frankly honest, maybe they should focus on getting out. โThis isnโt over,โ She trilled, before following after him.
His power, or at least, what he showed, was cool. She was a bit jealous for a moment, but regardless. She followed, closing her eyes in fear of being burnt. Though she cracked it open, smiling brightly at him, โWoah, thatโs cool!โ She exclaimed.

Maxwell:
She's very brave, considering her first day in is a break out. "Thanks." I murmur absentmindedly. I turn and let out another breath of flame, scarring and burning the chasing guards. This gives us just a few moments to follow the screaming crowd out of the warehouse, and into the long hallway that leads outside.
As well finally exit into the sunlight, I award myself a breath in order to examine our surroundings. Cars are peeling out to escape the chaos, people are running for their lives. I wonder if they think I'm going to kill them for cheering on my killing for those months. I shake my head and look ahead. The downtown suburbs are just around the corner, if I remember correctly. I know this time we need to move faster, so with no regard for personal space, I reach out and lift Nox into my arms.
"Hold on. I can run about as fast as a car." I say to her. We need to find some place to rest, and catch out bearings. I'm already getting tired from those fire blasts, since my body isn't used to them, and I doubt this running will help either.

Lennox runs after him, but then sheโs picked up, and fixes him with a glare, pulling a pout, โHey, I kind run too!โ She defends, crossing her arms. Even for being 16, she seemed to have an almost childlike outlook. In some ways it could be endearing.
She wished she could help, but she didnโt think she really could. She was a tiny little thing, not built for escaping and such. But then again, she was a bit more than met the eye. โNow answer my question, how old are you? How long have you been here? Oh ! Whatโs youโre favorite color?โ
Okay, she didnโt stay on topic very long, and she kept going about on asking questions. Favorite color. Favorite number. His zodiac. Useless little things.
