(Oh the ‘suprise’ was about the first thing I wrote, but I deleted it and rewrote it and I guess I left the suprise comment.) Orion rolled his eyes again. “Figures, Sunny always was a brat, and Stella was always a crybaby. And Daphne? Too sweet for his own good, too shy and nice. The only one of those siblings that could handle anything was the eldest, but you know, he supposedly ‘dead’.” He put in airquotes, smirking at Freak response. “I’m here to suck your blood.” He said sarcastically, adding a sad villain imitation of a laugh. An eyebrow rose at Orion's descriptions of the siblings. He hadn't known them very well or for long, but it seemed a little mean. Typical villain. Or at least, he appeared to be one. Perhaps he didn't think of himself that way, but then again, a lot of villains saw themselves as heroes in their own right. They believed their intentions were right and justified, and very rarely could any be persuaded otherwise. It was a shame. So many had so much potential for good, and they squandered it all away on self interest, hatred, and anything else that motivated them. At the blood comment, Freak made a face. He was too bothered to find the humor in either the silly comment or accompanying laugh. "If you're not gonna tell me anything else, then I guess we're done here." Freak tried to make himself appear intimidating, or at the least angry, but it came across as more of a child-like pout. He was hoping to be able to give his team more information that this. Orion frowned slightly, "tough crowd?" He asked, before turning around. "I have tons more, but nothing you won't learn in time, young hero." He hummed out. "Run along now, I would hate to have my next encounter be such a bore."

(Warning to all, I might not be on as much this next week.) --- (Gamer: Aw, nice! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ^^) --- Pip glared at the small hero, a collection of confused thoughts spinning through her head. Her hand loosened somewhat, perhaps not enough for them to escape, but maybe enough for them to pull their hands free. Her glare faltered. "Why aren't ya frightened..?" she asked, her voice suddenly quiet. It had lost all of it's previous bluster. "Do ya cay'eh so little fo' ya life?"

(Well, that took longer than I thought it would. I hate technology sometimes. At least I found my character list. 39 characters is a lot to keep up with when you haven't used them in a while. XD) A young girl with long, strawberry blonde hair in a braid walked quietly along a river in one of the city's neighboring forests. She wore a light purple beanie and a soft green and blue jacket. It wasn't the usual forest that she frequented, but a recent villain fight had temporarily forced her from her home and curiosity drove her to explore some of the other woods. At some point, the sound of gunfire met her ears and she dove for cover. She waited, hidden, for the better part of an hour before daring to pick her head up and look around with wide, brown eyes. The forest had gone quiet again. Was someone hurt? Honestly, she hoped it wasn't hunters. She hated seeing animals hurt. An acrid, coppery scent met her nose at some point and she pursued it, thinking it to be an injured game animal that needed saving. ( Lioncl) Somewhere in the city's park, a fourteen year old girl was walking a shaggy black labrador. Dog sitting didn't exactly pay the best, but it was worth it. Over the past few weeks, she'd managed to teach Duchess a few tricks, and the dog wasn't so hard to control as she once was. As she walked past some of the park's statues, she heard a request for help and turned toward the voice. "Something wrong?" She asked Markus. ( Protractor) Freak crossed his arms. "Yeah, uh-huh. We'll see." He grumbled beneath his breath. Something else must have caught his attention, as he suddenly hurried to a far edge of the roof and turned his ear toward a specific direction of the city. "I'll deal with you later." He shot over his shoulder before condensing into electricity once more.

Markus smiled before turning to face the girl. His grey jacket swaying as he spun."I guess you could say that.I've been trying to find somewhere that has some sort of scrap metal. But this place has changed so much I can't tell where everything else is anymore."The pale skinned man, somewhere in his mid 20S,put his hand behind his hand."I know someone that appears to be as young as you has a pretty strong reason not to help someone as old as me,but I'll let you lead and stand 5 steps behind you."

The man had managed to get back to his "home" and had grabbed his clothes before he had headed to the stream. It was probably the best way for him to clean the wound at the moment and he also wanted to get any dirt and grime currently on him, off. It took him about 5 minutes in his wolf form to make it there from his home before he waded into it and shifted back into his human form. He carefully started to wash the area around the wound to try and get any bacteria that had already collected away from it before he started to bathe the rest of himself
(So he isn't like most werewolves since he is also able to shift into a regular wolf form. So when he first attacked the hunters he was in his normal wolf form and then shifted into the werewolf form)

(Ok, thanks for letting us know in advance ^^) Several answers rose to Karma's mind but the hero remained stubbornly quiet for a long moment. "What do you care? You're just a thief. You're only out for yourself. Go ahead, do whatever it is you're gonna do." They challenged. Their tone had went from amused to emotionally flat. When their arms were free, rather than fight back, the teen just crossed them.

The dog had started to inch more and more toward Markus, sniffing, and Emily tightened her grip on the leash. "Hmm... You seem pretty trustworthy to me. Plus, I have a dog. I'm not afraid, and I don't mind helping you find it." She didn't mention that her father was a police officer and had made sure to teach Emily how to defend herself. "There's a junkyard that has scrap metal. Would that work?"
(Sounds similar to how I plan to have a werewolf character, but he/she/they won't be able to control the shifting for a long time, and even longer before they can access the regular wolf form. As for the other werewolf, that person has a normal wolf form, but not a 'werewolf', or hybrid form. Is your character able to pass lycanthropy along to others, or is he only an experiment?)
Skaldi continued along through the woods, never straying far from the stream in an effort to avoid getting lost. Her sense of smell was stronger than the average and she'd picked up on it long before she neared the 'animal'. Eventually, she saw some sort of large creature in the stream up ahead and she slowed to a stop. What was that? Was it a bear?

"It should." Emily agreed as they walked along, smiling at the question about the dog. "This is Duchess. I'm taking care of her for a neighbor." She explained.
Hearing her name, the big black behemoth's tail began to wag and the dog tried again to get near Markus, no doubt to show affection. In spite of the animal's intimidating size, she was a real sweetheart and loved everyone she met.

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." (OOC)
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." The red head continued to listen now mainly trying to tell who the small person was. She wanted to make sure she had a decent understanding of the situation before she outed herself.

Im going to say that he can't but he doesn't know that. He's afraid that if he bites someone they will become a werewolf which is why he didn't bite any of the hunters that he attacked. So simple answer is he is just an experiment. Unless you would think it would work out better if he could pass it on. Also the reason why the wound is still bleeding is ebcause they didn't do a very good job on his healing factor so while it's still a decent healing factor and much faster than a normal human, a non-fatal gunshot wound would still take him a few days to heal)
The man was still bathing himself for a few moments before he decided to get out, not noticing that someone was nearby yet though that was mostly likely due to the fact that he was upwind of Skaldi at the moment. In front of her eyes he changed back into his wolf form and shook his wet fur. His wolf form was larger than the average wolf, with it being about 3 and a half feet tall and 7 feet long and looking as if it weighed around 200 pounds. He licked at the wound on his shoulder, which stung like hell, gently as if he was trying to help stop the bleeding

Markus registered this for a moment before reaching out a hand to pet her."Seems like a lot of dog to only want to make friends. If it were me I would use it to get what I want."He stood back up and looked down at Emily."Lead on."He invited and motioned with his hand for her to go first.

(Ah, ok. I asked because I thought I remembered him biting Jim's arm, in addition to scratching him. And the healing thing does make sense. A healing factor would be hard to replicate, unless they had another specific to replicate it from.)
Skaldi froze in her tracks as she caught the latter part of the transformation. There was a soft intake of breath before she bravely crept closer. The expression on her face was more curious than afraid, even if the sudden change had surprised her. What was this creature, and how was it able to change? When she was closer, she softly and tentatively spoke out. "Hello?" The girl appeared to be between the ages of twelve and thirteen.
"Yeah, she's like that with everyone. Sometimes she barks, but not always." Emily shrugged before continuing on, heading toward the edge of the city. One of the largest junkyards were there. "You said the city has changed. How long were you gone from it?" She asked curiously.

The wolf's head snapped towards the direction the girl had come from and his lips curled into a snarl, showing off his large fangs as a warning to the girl. "She must be here to try and kill me too. As young as she is, she could have a tranquilizer ready to take me out. Can't fall for this trap again. They tried doing something similar to me back then as well." He thought to himself as he got up from his seated position and started to walk a circle around the girl

Skaldi flinched when the gigantic wolf revealed his sharp fangs in a snarl, but she didn't run. The poor thing... It must be in pain. "Y-You're hurt... Did someone do this to you?" She sounded genuinely concerned. As the wolf began to encircle her, she noticed the wound to his shoulder and winced. "That looks like it really hurts... You're probably scared, but I don't want to hurt you. I want to help." She extended a small hand toward the wolf, palm facing up.
"I was just curious. The city's been partly destroyed and rebuilt a couple of times in the last couple of years. It doesn't even completely look the same as I remember it when I started middle school." Emily answered. "It's been pretty scary at times. Especially when the high school almost got blown up." She shivered at the thought. "A lot of people have moved away because of the violence."

The wolf stopped circling for a moment before he started to transform once again not into a human form this time but into his werewolf form "And why should I believe you? I've had many people come trying to trick me in some way or another. When I first started living here, I was naive and a little too trusting for my own good and made many bad calls. I've had people your age used on me as well to try and lure me out only to be shot and nearly killed multiple times" he snarled

"Well, that's what a lot of people have started doing... Not only to keep themselves safe, but others too. That's the only reason the school was saved. A bunch of teens stepped up and stopped the bomber." Emily smiled, thinking back to when it happened. The incident had given her nightmares, but she couldn't forget how cool and extraordinary it had been to see a bunch of costumed heroes show up to fight the robots. She'd nearly died that day, were it not for one of them throwing themselves between her and the bullets.
The girl sighed. She smiled up at the werewolf, but the gesture appeared sad on her youthful face. "Yeah, a lot of human beings are terrible people... They really don't like it when you're different." She brought her arms around herself and her gaze dropped to the ground. "You have every reason not to trust me, but I promise I don't want to hurt you. I could if I wanted, but I don't want to do that. You remind me of my friend." She looked up at the werewolf and offered a warm smile. "I can fix your shoulder, if you'd let me."

(Oh! Hahah. It took me a moment to realize who the redhead was spying on. XD)
Their words felt like a slap in the face. Pip clenched her teeth. This Karma person wasn't going to fear her, they made that much clear. Nor were they going to give her the money. This 'game' was no longer any fun. As much as she hated to admit it, Karma had already won. Maybe they could read her mind. They did mention that they could tell when she was lying. Maybe they knew that she wouldn't kill him. This had become more trouble than it was worth. "You'ah right. What do I cay'eh? What do I cay'eh about any of this?! I don't." It was another lie. She did care. Her hand tightened around Karma once agian. She lowered the hand holding Karma, and tossed them to the ground. It wasn't gentle by any means, but Pip had made sure it was soft enough that it probably wouldn't hurt him any more than a bruise or two. She knew what it was like, being small. "Good luck bein' small. You'ah gonna need it," she spat, keeping up the tough act. She pulled her hood back over her head, and turned, walking towards the brick wall.

The werewolf seemed to visibly relax but he still kept his guard up. He would not let it end up like last time "This isn't the first time I've been shot. It goes away after a few days and then I'm good as new. All I need to do is make sure it doesn't get infected so it won't take longer. But I'm curious, how would a girl as young as yourself be able to heal a gunshot wound? And where are the supplies to where you can treat it? Surely you don't expect me to follow you back to your home" he said as he seemed to look the little girl over

(Pip is right about that assumption XD It's not especially strong, but it's enough to be pretty darn useful I need to come up with an actual name for their cloaking ability, as I'm still not sure what to call that one.) Karma could feel the girl starting to give up, and inwardly sighed in relief. They'd taken quite a chance with their life, based on the intuitive feeling that Pip didn't mean to do them serious harm. It also helped that Karma had managed to catch a snippet or two of her thoughts, which served to reinforce the belief that she wouldn't kill them. Karma's breath caught in their throat as the grip tightened, and they were unexpectedly thrown to the ground like a discarded action figure. The hero rolled over and coughed, feeling of their ribs and appearing to inspect for any serious damage. It appeared they got off easy with just some bruising. Karma glared up at Pip as they rose to their feet. "I think you do care. I also believe you're better than this. But what do I know?" Grumbling beneath their breath, Karma kicked at a random pebble and started toward the face of the alleyway. It hadn't fully dawned on them just what sort of horrible predicament the shrinking would have on them.

Emily stopped and turned to Markus with a startled look. "Glowing mushrooms? No. Why?" What did that have to do with anything? She wondered. Again she had to tighten her grip on the dog's leash as she'd continued trying to walk when Emily halted.
"Just... trust me?" Skaldi again held out her hand toward the werewolf with her palm facing up. She wanted to explain, but she was afraid he wouldn't believe her, and would think she was lying or tricking him. He'd obviously been through a lot in his life. In a lot of ways, Skaldi had too, and could relate well with that.
