"Robin?" Ollie croaked. He managed to shift his head in her direction. Now that he was more aware of his surroundings, he noticed the tubes attatched to him. "Cyto! He was asking about Holly and 13! Night too.You have to warn them! I think- Holly and 13 are in danger." He forced out, despite the pain every word caused. His head sunk further into his pillows. Simply saying those few words seemed to have drained his energy.

Robin smiled, “Yeah, it’s me.” She said, she sounded tired, looked stressed too. Her smile fell though at his words, and she looked down. “13 is fine, Ollie.” She comforted, half heartedly. “I’m sure Holly will be fine too.” She added, though she looked very unsure.

(...) (...) (Holly..?)
Ollie relaxed somewhat at her words. "Good," he breathed. He closed his eyes for a few blessed moments, before forcing them to open. "How long have I been here..?" he asked once again, starting to study Robin's expression.

“Uhhh...” Robin frowned, curling in on herself, “A few days?” She said, her expression was grim. Upset even. “We learned something bad though,” she whispered, some tears welling in her eyes, “I think you already know though, about Cyto. He’s the one that attacked you, right?”

Ollie shivered at the memory, his face paling. "Yeah. Big and scaly. With a tail." He couldn't possibly forget. Judging by her expression, something had happened. Fear flashed in his gaze. "What happened while I was out," he asked quietly.

Robin looked down, her eyes wide. but tears still fell. “Your arm,” She said, obviously fretting over her friends. But a coldness was in her gaze, “And Holly, she...” her voice was soft, and she trailed off. “Hanahaki got the orange crystal, she used it to control Holly, Holly hurt herself during that time, and we haven’t seen her since.” She muttered out softly.

Ollie let his gaze drift to the place his arm should be. It was still a shock to find it gone, but he didn't want Robin to fret. "It's-" he began, but stopped when she continued. His eyes widened when she shared about Holly. Last time he had been with her, they hadn't gotten along well. He had been about to leave everyone. Seeing Robin's face now made him wonder why he had made that decision in the first place. He tried to sit up again, but the pain forced him back down with a strained grunt. He clutched his chest in the place it had been stabbed. "You have no idea where she is? Where she could have gone?" he panted. They were after her... It was dangerous for her alone.

Robin frowned more, “Kind of? We know she’s mostly alright, but she’s refused to come home. a few days ago, she found out Hanahaki’s identity I guess, and apparently she tried breaking into her home,” she went silent, she wasn’t sure she wanted to talk about this.

(!) (:3)
Ollie sunk further into his pillows, relief letting him relax. "I'm glad she's alright. I just feel this is my fault. If I hadn't fought with Holly, maybe none of it would have happened like this..." he sighed. He was exhausted. Never before had such little movements tired him as they did now. Despite his grogginess, he asked another question. "There's something else, isn't there?" he breathed, concern on his slightly pained expression.

Robin smiled, it was soft, and sad, but genuine. “Yeah, there is.” She whispered, a disappointed look on her face. “Those thieves? Anubis and Bastet,” She whispered, a pained look on her face. “They were stealing tech for Ress, they are Arien and Holly.”

(Yup. Second last post, I figured out Bastet. ^^)
"Stealing tech..? For Ress? Why?" Ollie asked, struggling to keep his thoughts in order. Confusion clouded his face. So much had happened in a short amount of time.

(I dropped hints a lot earlier on when Bastet was first introduced. But I tried not to be overloading until now.
But yes, you did.)
“Because of INFINITE apparently. The people that tested on Ress when she was a lot younger, and the people who tested on...” she went quiet, looking down. “That’s How Arien and I got our powers,” she murmured. “Apparently, INFINITE has it out for Ress and for us, they don’t like that their weapons escaped, so they keep looking for new ones. Holly and Arien apparently volunteered to steal some of the technology they had, so they wouldn’t hurt us. But they refused to tell us.” She explained, though she did look confused. “I just don’t understand why Holly was so invested in it. It’s as if she knows something we don’t. Which is a possibility, I guess.”

(I couldn't figure it out before, but that one comment clicked everything together in my mind and everything made a lot more sense. ^^)
Infinite. The cause of Robin and Arien's powers. Stolen tech. Ollie blinked slowly, taking it all into his sluggish brain. "Do you think... They plan to use the tech? For something?" He let his eyes close for a few moments, but he still waited for Robin's reply.

( Protractor , I'm just doing a little overlap with my last post, so when you get back, this is the post you can continue from. ^^ Also, Rosie has gotten a little better since last time. Mostly just some wind control, and some refined movements.) "It's coming from that mansion over there!" Rosie rushed onto the lawn before the mansion. The wind moved behind them, hastening their speed. "Someone must have broken in! We have to make sure everyone inside is safe." It didn't occur to the girl that there was any other option to enter the house, other than through the front door. The door finally opened, Rosie rushed into the house, not waiting for Jerome. Where were they? She had wandered further into the house when she heard the opening of a door and a scream piercing the air. She jerked towards the sound and saw the open door. It wasn't far. While dark clouds filled the night sky, she ran to the room. A gust of wind aided her, blowing around any loose papers in the premises. She nimbly slipped into the room, her heart beating wildly at what she saw. "Stop!" she shouted, her voice followed by a roll of thunder. Wind spun in the room, blowing fiercely against Bastet and aiding Rosie to slip between them. She was a fourteen-year-old girl with long curly red hair. Her green eyes wide and disbelieving.

Bastet backed up, she was close. Very close. But this child was ruining everything, this girl wasn’t much younger than her. Rose grinned behind the girl, her eyes beginning to narrow, as she raised her hand at Rosie to attack the unsuspecting girl. Her agitation peaked, her eyes went from blue, to a glowing yellow, her golden bell glowing as she ran past Rosie, despite the wind, and grabbed Rose, walking behind her and rising her claws to her throat.
Rose let off a gasp, fake tears welling in her eyes, “Wait, why are you after me?” She asked, tears falling onto her cheeks, “Please don’t kill me!”
Bastet glared at her, “Shut up.” She cruelly demanded, her eyes back to blue, raising to look at the girl. “Move. Or she-“ she left the sentence hanging, Sure, it was one thing to make the harmless action with her claws now sheathed, but the girl couldn’t see that, and threatening death was another thing al together. Something very personal to her. But still, Rose had done it to innocents, Bastet had every right to return the favor.
(And this is where we see my characters enter a very morally grey zone.)

(Another overlap, because Ollie is tired and needs to recover. ^^)
Ollie never heard what Robin had to say. The pulling darkness of sleep had already enveloped him. He remembered nothing of his dreams except for the troubled ones of Cyto's attack. He was drifting in and out of sleep for the next day or two, each period getting longer with him becoming stronger. It was a speedy recovery considering the circumstances. The next day, he began the process of relearning how to walk. Through it all, he seemed somewhat subdued. When Robin was around, he managed to bring on a positive outlook, partly to hide his own concerns and partly to possibly relieve Robin's concerns. It had taken a few days, but he was finally allowed to leave. He just had to make sure he didn't tear the stitches in his chest. He still hadn't gotten used to his missing arm. It was hard to conceive that it was even missing.
Ollie walked out of the washroom, adjusting his new shirt. "Man, I'm sure glad you brought this for me. I sure wouldn't want to wear my old shirt," he attempted to joke, referencing to the red stained shirt he had from Cyto's attack.

It had been nearly an hour since Hornet had heard anything from the bathroom. Unrest changed to worry, and she stood and followed Blinks path through the hall to the door. A soft knock. "Blink, we can stop talking about your past. I just want to help." In the softest murmur she thought he could hear she spoke, then resting her head to the door as well.

Zed! That manipulative, meddling mess of a man! (Yes, I know, but I have a hard time calling anyone anything worse. XD) Blink stood there for a long time, trying to think of how Zed might have done it. He recalled the glasses of water Zed had offered them when they were there. That must have been when he had done it. There must have been something in his drink. Considering the fact that Hornet seemed to not be affected, he must have altered only his drink. Whatever it was, it was slow to react. Who said he could be that man's guinea pig?! He was going to have to give him a talking-to later. Man to man. Zed didn't know the consequences Blink received for having an unclear mind. Hornet's voice broke through his thoughts, and with sharp, agitated movements, he cleaned up. "I'm going to kill that man!" he hissed, mostly to himself. Turning the tap off, he swung open the door, looking pale and angry.

She stepped back in surprise, eyes wide but still eager to check on him. "Blink?" Hornet whispered, looking upon his tired, angered face.

Blink noticed Hornet, and his anger faded slightly. He still somewhat nauseous, but the worst seemed to have faded. He opened his mouth, closed it, then turned and walked away. Entering the kitchen, he walked to the fridge, his path a little less than straight. He opened the door and pulled out a jug of cold water. The kitchen was rather neat and tidy. There was only a few things left on the counter, such as the cup he now pulled towards him. He filled the cup and downed it swiftly. He glanced at Hornet, a strange look on his face as if he was contemplating something.

She stared back, equal parts confused and curious, though still with a slight bit of worry within her gaze. She didn't speak, instead following him into the kitchen and standing in the doorway.

Robin looked owlish, she was talking to someone, it seems.
The other girl in question was hooded, the fluffy outline hiding most of her face. But her green eyes were unmistakable. “Hey,” She simply said, “I can go if you like,” she offered. “I just wanted to make sure you were fine, plus apologize. I, it wasn’t fair to you, you can’t remember me from then, because that wasn’t you then. That was someone else, and your trying your best.” The teen kept the hood on, Holly was more bashful, at least, than she usually was. The only concerning thing was that rune the one worn on her cloak, one with the symbol of chaos that she had picked up that day. “I don’t know why I really said that. I don’t even remember who he was anymore,” she added, softer.
Seems her memory was already being stolen, but it wouldn’t be for long.

Blink let out a deep breath. "I didn't want to kill them," he admitted, looking down at his empty cup. "I didn't mean to. It was all a bunch of messed up mistakes. In fact, they were the ones who taught me the meaning of life. Or so I once thought." In a sudden switch of attitude, he swore and strode back to Hornet. He stopped in front of her, his eyes sharp once more. "If one word of this gets out..." he growled, letting his sentence trail off to the possibilities.

Hornet almost yelped and shook her head vigorously. "Never, I would never betray your trust like that." And she knew it was an impossible promise, as all secrets escape someday, but with her best she would hold it.

Ollie's eyes widened, as he recognized Holly. His chest tightened with emotion. "And I'm sorry that I threatened to leave," he admitted, his eyes shining more than usual. He was quiet for a few moments, before extending his left hand. His only hand. "Friends?"

Holly blinked, a small smile on her face, she wasn’t big on physical contact, but instead of a handshake, she gave him a gentle hug. “I’m really sorry. If I-you wouldn’t...” the guilt on her face was evident.
Robin smiled, sadly, but it was a smile. “We have to be ready for the fight ahead. You know Cyto will be back for 13, maybe even Ollie now.”

Blink took a step back. "Good. There's some food in the fridge, or that cupboard over there if your hungry. I'm going to go and get changed." He walked into the attached livingroom and turned the corner onto some stairs. There was a clunk and a curse, but by the sound of it, he made it the rest of the way up.
On the counter, the cold jug of water sat beside the empty cup. The cupboards around the kitchen were mostly empty, except for two or three plates, bowls and containers. In the fridge was a chub of meat, and half of a store-bought loaf of bread. Yes, the bread was in the fridge. In the cupboard he mentioned earlier, there was all sorts of canned food. There was also some boxes of crackers. Many of them being Ritz crackers.
