(Chaos: So... Would Ollie be in the hospital, or something? I was thinking his dead, shrivelled arm couldn't be saved. Sometime later, I plan to replace it with a mechanical arm somehow. Somehow... :3)

His words caused her eyes to flutter open. The pain was subsiding, and flower petals fell from the growths. She wasn't the most gorgeous young woman, but in that moment as she awoke, a serene grace overcame her motions. "Blink..?"

Blink opened his eyes at the sound of her voice. He met her gaze, and his worries melted into wary relief. "It's gone..?" he asked hopefully. For once, his walls of gruffness were lowered. He sounded genuine. The moment wouldn't last long.

Blink opened his eyes at the sound of her voice. He met her gaze, and his worries melted into wary relief. "It's gone..?" he asked hopefully. For once, his walls of gruffness were lowered. He sounded genuine. The moment wouldn't last long. With a soft voice and a softer smile, Hornet stared upon him with glittering gaze. She didn't know what to say, though her mouth parted just a hair to speak. Instead, a careful hand reached out, to cradle his own.

Blink didn't flinch from her touch at first. It was warm. His gaze never left hers. How much had she heard? This wasn't good. Moonlight silver hair, a shock of fiery red hair. Pale faces. Suddenly it was as if clouds passed behind his eyes, masking his soul. The mask he always wore in his gaze was returning, and his blue eyes retained their iciness. "We can't." He stood, pulling his hand away from hers.

She gasped and reached back out. "W-Wait. Blink, don't." It was a request, a quiet beg for that closeness once more. Hornet knew that now, after tasting simply a moment of it and knowing him capable of such tender compassion, she could never let it go. "Please, tell me what's wrong."
(Oh these two. She's a hopeless romantic just begging for more and he clearly cares, but isn't all there with it ;w; )

Bastet looked on coldly, her mask covering her gaze, “They want...” she went silent, “They want something I will not let them have, 13 is my friend, and the power they seek, they seek for Night. A villain that cannot make a return.”
Anubis glanced at her, worried. But nodded, a soft sigh and genuine smile on his face as he turned back to Isaac, “13, and his brother. And also a girl named Holly,” Bastet froze slightly, glaring at Anubis. “I’m worried about them all.”

(I know! ;w; All my characters are children inside, but some are so desperately lost. His inner child is scared.)
Blink averted his gaze, choosing instead to look out a blinded window across the room. It was one of those blinds that opened and closed the slats when you turned the stick. It was open just enough to let in thin slits of light. When he spoke next, his voice was cold and tight. "If you stay with me, you will die." Just as they all have before...

(Chaos: Ooh. That would be cool. ^^ Also, despite having been in the forgotten realm, he will be remembered for now. But his touch will affect people now. Makes it kind of difficult for the doctors. XD)

(Oof poor doctors.
Yeah, this whole plot with Bastet and Anubis relates heavily to....incoming plots.
To be fair, we already know the civilian identities of Anubis and Bastet, whether the characters that make them up are newer or older. Or just mentioned.
Like Lyra ;3. Or maybe Robin? What about Arien? It could be anyone but hey, guesses are always welcome.)

"Name's Ray," he introduced himself, turning to fully face Boris and shake his hand. "Is it short for anything?"Boris asked as he withdrew his hand."Haven't heard of many "Rays"."

(Ah. :3 Another mystery. I can't think of anyone for certain at the moment. ^^) --- Ray made a face. "It's short for my last name." He didn't like being called Willy, even though it was something his grandparents called him all the time. "Short for Raymond."

"Sometimes I still feel like one," Ray said with a chuckle. There was just one major difference. He had less energy.

"Eh? Why not?" Ray asked, glaring a little now. This Boris guy was becoming kind of annoying. The guy seemed to challenge him every chance he got. Even so, it was kind of intresting having someone to debate this stuff with, for once.

Ray let out a sudden gust of air in amusement. "Me? Do something I can't?" he chuckled. "Like what?" Motioning for him to go on, as if to finish a joke.

Ray cocked a brow. "But I can stand up," he countered, his laughter fading into a simple smirk.

The smirk disappeared. Yep. This guy was definitely annoying. "Why are you so concerned? I'm sure you've done many 'useful' things in your lifetime." Ray replied sarcastically.

"I wouldn't exactly call it po-" He froze and his eyes narrowed. "How did you-?" Ray glanced down at his hand. "It was the handshake, wasn't it..?" People usually found the touch of his skin unnaturally hard. Sometimes his grip was a little too hard, cosidering that he couldn't exactly regulate how tight he holds, due to his lack of feeling.

Just as they all have before...(oh man ;3; ) "Everyone dies." Hornet's reply was simple, a quote from her grandmother. That simplistic truth kept her focused, and now, she hoped it would help him to brush away his fear.
