How there are so many people in the world that you don't know and they're all living their lives. like everyone has their own family, friends, problems, and they're just living their life and unless you would know them you have no idea what they're going through. You only know your life and some of the people around you
I think about this a lot for some reason. Like that guy walking down the street has a life and I have no idea what's happening in it. The walmart cashier has a life and I have no idea what it is. The random person in this car commercial has a life...

TBH I never thought about this until one day I watched that Arthur episode as a kid where you're seeing the world from his perspective
And then I was instantly like WTF I GET TO LIVE AS ARTHUR FOR THE NEXT 30 MINS. PRETTY SURE I'M HAVING MY FIRST EPIPHANY
Since then I've always been frustrated I can't just, y'know, casually tap into other people's perspectives and live a day as them

yeah.
this one time, i stood at the top of a parking garage and looked out at the town and the countryside. i think that sums up my emotion at seeing all of the houses for miles and miles, it was breathtaking.

o yep. hence why i try to be respectful to everybody. theres always that lingering "what if theyre having a bad day? what are they hiding? are they secretly pained when they smile?" in my mind.
sobering to think monsters like hitler felt the same emotions. he laughed and cried like us. does that excuse his actions? no.
hitler was a monster. but he was human.

Yeah, and it seems so wierd when you hear people talking in public, like I heard part of a phone conversion a few days ago and this girl was just saying things like "oh, maybe john or chad could do it, yeah I think john could" and I'm just walking by like who is this john.

Yes. I also think about my friends' perspectives of me. Like, I try to occasionally imagine how they actually see me through their eyes and what they think about me and what their lives are like being around me like I'm that other person.

There's a gif taken from a video Eva Braun recorded of Hitler flirting with her. The first time I saw it I was shocked, because you don't think of Hitler like that. You think of him as his monster, which he was, but you never think of him being an everyday human with emotions And who went out and did normal human things. It's just so weird to see.

i think of that too much, and it often leads to worse and worse thoughts abt myself and how insignificant we all are and such so i don't like to
