" Juniperberry I can see Papa " Squeaked Cinderkit.

Adderbite came rushing forward, him and Rainstep had gone quite aways from the high ground, up ahead he saw a few forms, and he noticed his kits. A huge wave of relief rushed over the worried father. He slid to a halt next to them. "Cinderkit! Ashkit! Sootkit!" He cried out with joy as he saw his kits. "I was so worried when your mother told me she had lost you guys. He licked the top of Cinderkit's, and Ashkit's head. "Thank you Juniperberry." He said softly, he than looked down at his son. "Sootpaw, is everything alright?" Worry rushing over the tom cats face as he looked at his son who was being carried by the medicine cat. "What happened to you guys?" He asked green eyes scanning over the three of them.

Rainstep stopped right next to his old mentor, he looked down at the kits relieved that they found them. His blue eyes scanned over the three little ones, and was glad they were all alive. The grey tom cat sat there while Adderbite scanned his kits over making sure they were alright, he decided to ask his own question. "Have you guys seen Greystar?" Which was mainly directed to Juniperberry.

Juniperberry was beginning to feel overwhelmed but he kept still, he figured the kits wouldn't have any trouble on getting their father up to date on the whole situation. He looked over at the blue eyed tom cat and answered him in one word. "Dead." He said it rather bluntly, he was not found of his previous leader, he didn't even like him when he was the deputy. Though he served him like any medicine cat would.

Adderbite didn't say anything for a few moments, he looked over at his kits, and sighed softly. His heart still beating in his chest quickly. He couldn't believe he had almost lost his kits. He than look over at Rainstep. "Could you carry one of them, I bet they are exhausted from this terrifying day." He said to his friend, who nodded and went over picking up Ashkit by the scruff. He didn't know about them, but he was exhausted, he had felt feelings that he has never felt before, fear of almost loosing his sister, fear of almost loosing his kits, guilt that he should've saved his kits instead of going after his sister, and guilt for thinking that. He shook the thoughts away, what's done is done. "I am glad that you are all safe, and I thank you Juniperberry for saving my kits." He said to the medicine cat, who only nodded slightly not to shake the kit. "It's time to get you back with the rest of the clan." He said picking up Cinderkit by the scruff holding her softly in his jaws. He began walking the distance back to the high ground, followed behind by Rainstep, and Juniperberry.

Adderbite and the rest of the group made it up to the higher ground, many cats whom were in conversation, stopped and looked out towards them, he slowed down, and let Juniperberry take the lead, as the medicine cat led them over to where the herbs and and all was set down so he could examine Sootpaws leg. Adderbite was quite afraid of what might be wrong, he hoped his son would heal quickly the idea of him in a lot of pain was not something he could comprehend, and he feared the worse. Which he could just be overreacting, due to the stress of the day.

Adderbite sat the kits down and stood back to let Juniperberry examine him, he scanned the area it was starting to get rather crowded with all the cats. Though he noticed that his sister slipped out, he figured she would. She didn't follow orders well, usually only when it comes from the leader of the clan.

Juniperberry say Sootkit down, and began to examine his leg softly, to get an idea of what he had to do, or if there was anything he can do. If it was a scratch he could handle it fine, but if it was and injury beneath the fur there was nothing he could do, besides give him some herbs to help take some of the pain away and help him sleep.

Sootkit let out a squeak of pain as Juniperberry examined his leg.

Owlpaw gave him a soft smile. "I hope you are right, I have no idea how my brother would react if they don't." She said softly. She would be afraid to, her brother was the best father to his kits than any other cat she has known. He loves them very dearly, and she'd be afraid to see how he'd be if they have died. "You are probably right, we should get back." She hoped she would be back before her brother got there, but with her luck he was already there.Though it was Rainstep who would be upset, he knows her lack of ability when it comes to swimming. Which they fear she'd leave and somehow drown herself. The small apprentice followed after Swiftpaw.

Juniperberry squished his always squished face more, he figured that it must be a break, a small one. Though a break nonetheless, he sighed to himself there wasn't to much he could due to heal him, his body had to due it for him. "Sootpaw I'm afraid I can do nothing, but give you some herbs to help with the pain." He said to the small tom. "I believe your leg is broken, but not beyond repair, but beyond MY repair. Your body has to heal itself. So you will have to stay in your nest if you want your leg to heal, so you can be a strong warrior like your father." Juniperberry told him.
