 Hi! It's Saph here, and welcome to my author spot! You may remember my library on the old forums (basically a chat thread whoops); I've decided to bring it back to give easy access to my fics for those of you who don't have Figment, as for the foreseeable future I'll be keeping the bulk of my writing exclusively on that site. I'll also use this to store fan art, wff reviews and feedback, and - if I'm in a creative mood - to post contests about my fics. So yeah. Please come and say hi, comment on my writing, and generally help improve the mood of a small lonely Saph cx

Once, there was an island.
It was small, isolated, storm-beaten: a wind-tossed speck in an endless ocean. For the cats on the mainland, it was long forgotten, little more than a legend. For the few cats who managed to survive on the island, it was hungry, thirsty, crumbling, drowning, merciless, inescapable.
It was a world.
The island is ocean now, swallowed by the waves it held out against for so long. But its story isn't over. Carried an unknowable distance over the yawning ocean, a young tom called Eagle escaped the drowning of his home and kin. In a mainland full of life and colour and experiences he could never have imagined, Eagle is more alone than any island cat before him. New difficulties on the mainland force him to fight for his present and future; but after losing so much, is it possible for Eagle to live with the shadows of his past?

 A Lamentation of Swans★★★★★ This fanfiction is beautifully written. The word choice, the word flow, the characters - it's all so wonderfully done. It astounds me that this isn't more popular than it already is. My only gripe is, I don't feel like I know a lot of the characters yet. It seems... very impersonal. Since it is only on Chapter 1 and it's still very early on in the story, I can understand and will let that slide. But that's my only complaint. I would recommend this fic to anyone and if you haven't read it, or are considering it, by all means do. You won't regret it. - Skyfall ★★★★ A Lamentation of Swans is a captivating read brimming with subplots and conflict. It moves at a breakneck pace; I would say that it is impossible to get bored of the story. From the moment we are put into Sycamore, Rose-bay, and Cinder's tales, we are set into their world and we see it the way they do. The author is brilliant at showing their raw emotions, making us feel each individual character. The complexity in their personalities is incredible. The title, I have to say, is unique; I'm not sure what to make of it, but putting the words "lamentation" and "swan" in the same title give it the most elegant touch. Tension and suspense line the entire story. The mood is set to perfection. Dark, apocalyptic. We only hear snippets of the Ashfall through the beginning of the story, and the author avoids the infamous info-dump flawlessly. The only thing I would say needs to be improved is Sycamore's perspective. In my opinion, we would be reminded of his terrible eyesight if the author would put what he sees into the right perspective, if that makes any sense. But all-in-all, A Lamentation of Swans is a beautiful, enjoyable read...to put it simply. - ~Frostblaze~ (Unstarred review) A Lamentation of Swans is beautifully written. The pace is comfortably fast - it's impossible to get bored of. The word choice combined with characters, subplots, and the world itself weaves together perfectly to create a story you simply can't put down. Just from chapter one, you can see the relationships between characters and how important the roles they are destined to play are. The prologue sets everything up perfectly, and while it tells you some things are going to happen, it leaves just enough untold so that you have questions you can't leave unanswered. I can't wait to see where this goes! - Fɪʀᴇғʟʏ Against the Tide★★★★ Very intriguing story! I've only read one chapter, since that's all that's been updated, but already I am reeled in like a trout in a RiverClan warrior's claws! Cheesy but whatever... I loved the plotline, and how different it is from most Warriors fanfiction, which are usually involving the standard Clans plotline. One of the things I loved about this is the realism of the situation. Eagle, our protagonist, though weak from the past storm, is smart enough to know not to follow some random stranger, helpful he may be. I love intelligent protagonists, especially in fanfiction. It makes the story that much more satisfying. The description is absolutely lovely, painting the island beautifully, as the title of the story suggests. I cannot say much since there is only one chapter installed, but I am already very interested in what the rest of the story holds! Great job, ~Sapphire~! - xspottedpath

No, sorry.
If you hover your mouse over the SN of the other forumer you can see another, sometimes different name. Mine's mintedstarfur. That's the code you have to use in the @ mintedstarfur. Then it will change to the most resent screenname. (So it will add in the / )
