Piper couldn't help but grin at Maverick's seemingly endless appetite, rolling her eyes as she uncrossed her arms. "Yeah, alright," she agreed, standing up snd slipping her phone into the pocket of her leggings. She reached down to pick up her backpack, sliding it onto her shoulders as she prepared to tag along with her classmates. She looked almost like a child standing in between her very tall classmates, both of which easily towered more than half a foot over her. Still, she didn't seem uncomfortable or self-conscious about easy, there being an easy banter between the three of them that came from soending a lot of classes together. "Huh, I guess it is about lunchtime, isn't it?" she commented, spotting a clock on their way out of the library. "I must've lost track of time, trying to study."  Riley Belmont ~ Shaman. Riley had spent the first few weeks of school trying not to get lost amongst his new surroundings and schedule. Wearig a pair of fitted tan pants and a semi-formal button-up shirt, he appeared more overdressed than his classmates, a sign of his upbringing. He ran a hand through his hair as he walked through the grass toward the cafeteria, though he paused when he spotted another kid who looked about his age just laying there, apparently with nowhere to go. Should I talk to him? he wondeed somewhat nervously. He'd never been an exceptionally social kid, but he'd made very little effort to reach out to the other first year students and make friends. Now was as good a time as ever.
Making his way over, Riley grasped the straps of his backpack to give his hands something to do. As he neared the boy, however, he was interrupted by the sound of whistling. It didn't spoundlike normal whistling, though, it was louder and sharper. He blinked, curious, approaching the boy and spotting the grass between his fingers. "Woah, did you make that sound just with that grass?" he asked, intrigued. |

[Sequoia]
When he heard another male voice from close by, Sequoia sat up, propping his upper body up with his elbows. He caught sight of a blonde boy approaching, looking almost uncomfortable, he added to himself. Sequoia held up the thick piece of grass in his hand and nodded and gave a warm smile, "Yessir! It's not hard once you try it, plus it keeps a bored mind preoccupied." He lifted his other hand and pressed both his thumbs on either side of the blade again, leaving a small gap in the middle. He brought his lips to the blade and blew again, producing a sharp, loud whistling sound as the grass vibrated between his fingers. Lowering his hands again, Sequoia looked back up to study the other make student, his dark brown eyes glancing over the neatly dresses student before smoothing down his own clothes and standing up, ready to offer his hand in greating, "I'm Sequoia, first year Terras."

Star walked towards the main hall, she could hear her own stomach growling. She let out a sigh, why did she think it was a good idea to skip breakfast this morning. She replayed this morning in her head, remembering quickly that she had overslept this morning, so she had to chose between breakfast or being late it class. She cracked er neck and tightened the half ponytail that was resting near the top of her head. She was sporting a light blue and silver bow today, which matched nicely with her ripped jeans and aqua blue flowing shirt. Excitement filled her as she pushed open the doors to the main hall, the little blood magik couldn't wait to get some lunch

Riley watched in interest as Sequoia whistled on the grass blade again, turning to properly address him as the other boy stood up. He accepted the handshake with a rather wimpy one of his own, never having been a particularly strong or forward person. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Riley, I'm a first year Shaman," he replied, hoping his voice didn't come across as too soft or timid. He'd never been very good at approaching others, but he knew if he ever wanted to make friends he'd have to step out of his comfort zone. "Are you on a break between classes?" he asked, wondering why Sequoia had been laying out on the grass. "Or, do you usually come out here for lunch hour?" |

He looked down at her, and made a realization before an evil grin crossed his face. Before she could blink, his arm was on top of her head, as if he was using her to hold himself up. Mav snickered in delight at how easy it was to take advantage of the girl's height - he briefly wondered if he could pick her up and throw her before deciding against that.
"Well, what were y'all thinking as far as lunch? I haven't eaten all day, so I could probably take out the entire cafeteria and still be hungry. What about you Pipes?" he questioned, smiling. Mav had a habit of nicknaming everyone and everything he came into contact with - especially his fellow shifters. Star walked towards the main hall, she could hear her own stomach growling. Her wolf growled with anticipation - she hadn't eaten since last night, and was starving. At this rate, she could eat an entire deer by herself. Her thoughts were interrupted when a bump sent her flying into another girl nearby. Apologizing quickly, Kai righted herself and then the girl.
"I'm so sorry about that. Are you alright?" she asked, looking at the girl questioningly. She hadn't met this one yet - though that wasn't saying much. Kai had successfully made it through her years at the school without meaning any more than ten people, really. |

Kay sat at the end of the main hall, criss cross and leaning against the wall. In her hands was a old and tattered romance novel, it's pages folded and unfolded in the corners of nearly every page and underlined words and notes scribbled in pencil. The fae' s eyes darted across the page, knowing most of the words by heart now, but Kayoko enjoyed reliving a good story. Most of her friends back home would tease her for reading the same stories over and over, 'Why read something you've already read Kayo? You already know what happens!' She would just laugh and reply 'Put that same logic and use it for sweets. You've already eaten chocolate cake, you know what it tastes like, what's the point in eating it again? BECAUSE you know it tastes good!'
Kayoko read the last sentence of the chapter she was on before doggy earring the page and closing it gently. She held the book to her chest and closed her eyes, smiling softly to herself and sighing.
[Dontrell]
Closing his sketch pad, the teenage Specter stood up, pushing the pad to the back of his desk and putting his pencil back into the pencil cup. Turning, Dontrell searched for his vans, which he eventually found stuffed not the corner behind his closet door. He slipped each one on and then grabbed his bag, before heading out into the halls. As usual he had little interaction eight the others, just randomly thrown smiles if someone made eye contact, but most didn't return the gesture. It didn't bother him though, It's not like I make too much effort to talk either.

Star thanked the cafeteria worker as she was handed a large bowl of fruit and a large plate of salad. She was so excited to sit and eat her food when someone stumbled into her, knocking their elbow into her back. "Wah!" She helped as she stumbled forward, her food fall and ng to the ground. "Aw." She gasped in disappointment as she looked at her fallen lunch. "Man" her shoulders slumped a bit as she turned to look at kai. "You should be more careful." She said to the werewolf politely. Star was a short girl, only about 5'3" but it never stopped her from being outspoken. Most of the school knew about her, it was hard not too since there were only 3 blood magiks at the school, though she could tell that kai didn't seem to recognize her so she decided to be a bit nicer, maybe this girl was new or something

Piper suppressed the urge to sigh as Mav rested his arm on her head; she typically didn't mind her small stature and wasn't really even aware of it most of the time, but when it came to outwardly antagonizing her for it, it tended to grate on her nerves a bit. Which, upon further thought, was probably what Mav wanted. "Do you have to be so obnoxious?" She asked, pushing his arm off her head and smoothing her already hard-to-manage hair back into place. There was no real malice in her words, though, only slightly annoyance. "Hmm, well considering I hadn't even noticed it was lunchtime, I guess I'm not that hungry," she replied, clasping her hands behind her back as she walked. "I'll probably just pick up an apple and a sandwich or something, nothing too big." She'd never been a big eater, after all. She didn't seem to mind the nickname Mav gave her too much, either, not even really reacting to it beyond a questioning glance. |

kai - accompanied by [ star ]When the girl chastised her, Kai rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. Now that she wasn't worried about having hurt Star, Kai took a deep breath, allowing her senses to take over. The girl smelled of blood, and something tangy - magic. So that was this girl's gift - she was a blood magik. Kai stored that information in the back of her mind, then smiled and introduced herself.
"Yeah, sorry again. I wasn't paying attention and someone bumped into me, and that caused me to bump into you. I'm Kaia, but most people call me Kai," she held a hand out in front of her, head tilted to the side like a puppy trying to figure out what it was looking at. |

Star kindly accepted the girls hand and shook it. "I'm star, most people call me star." She responded back her voice light as she playfully copied kai's greeting. "It get pretty crowded in here, are you new or something?" She asked her blatantly, not in a rude way though. Star was genuinely curious, she liked to know everyone at the school

Riley blinked; lost? That wasn't the first impression he was trying to make. Did he look lost, wandering around like he was? He really hoped that wasn't the case. He shook his head, managing a small smile. "N-no, I'm not lost! I was just heading over to the cafeteria for lunch, that's all," he assured, gesturing toward the distance cafeteria building. "I have some free time in my schedule between my last class of the morning and lunch time, so I just walk over from the dorms. Erm, you must really like it out here if you stay outside so often." It wasn't such a foreign concept, though Riley was more of an indorsey person himself. |

Sequoia held his hands up waving them and shaking his head, a slight smile creeping up on his lips, "It's okay, you don't have to explain, I was only teasing." he hadn't meant anything by what he said, but maybe he was just coming on to strong. Sometimes he was a little too friendly. He let his brown eyes wander around, soaking up the green around him before bobbing his head up and down and smiling "Yeah I love fresh air. But mainly I'm out here because I haven't made and friends yet to eat lunch with.kinda boring to sit alone yah know?" He raised an eyebrow at Riley and hoped he could get him to relax, he seemed like a good kid.
