[ Okay so this took way longer because I'm at a sleepover and I get distracted easily hurrhurr sorry  ]
An old ford pickup truck, the color of faded blue, with a rumbling engine and a couple boxes tied down in the back, pulled up slowly into the parking lot of Lakeland Academy. Turning off the engine, Michael just sat, slumped against the worn out leather seat, glowering towards the school that stood before him, towering. After sitting there for at least five minutes, scowling, the junior let out a low groan as he kicked opened the driver's door, and with a heavy sigh, stepped out, stuffing his keys into his ratty jeans, before gently closing the door of the old pickup. There he stood, in his ragged, torn blue jeans, worn out brown combat boots, a simple white t-shirt, his hair a fluffy mess, sticking in every which way.
"I can't believe I'm back here,"he grumbled out loud, before turning and walking around to the other side of the vehicle to open the passenger's side, grabbing an army green backpack and a black duffel bag. Shutting and locking the doors, Michael decided to go and check out his dorm room before unloading the few boxes in the back of his pickup.
Michael walked long the path towards the dorms, expression indifferent as he saw more students arrive, walk around, socialize. As he got closer to the dorm buildings, he could feel the soft breeze coming from the ocean caressing his rough, lightly tanned skin, ruffling his already messy black hair, and he couldn't help but breathe it in and give a small, content smile. From afar, he could see the glinting shimmer of the ocean view as he finally arrived to the dorms, and couldn't help but allow his crooked smile to grow, because, even though the school itself felt like Hell sometimes, it sure did have the best beach spots around in this small town. Running his calloused fingers through his hair, Michael continued towards the male dormitories, grin fading away quickly. |
