I am Canadian so my say is from the outside looking in. To be honest I am not a fan of either candidate- they both have major major faults. Trump seems to like to run his mouth and I fear that may get my neighbors to the south in a lot of trouble.

I don't get why so many people hate him. Hillary is 20x worse Hillary is undeniably the most qualified candidate we've ever had. Senator, First Lady, Sec of State. Trump is a failed businessman with greedy values and no filter. I think we've been lucky with Obama to have had a president who is virtually scandal-free. Most presidents throughout our history have had their fair share of scandals; corruption and politics naturally go hand in hand. So to blame Hillary for corruption is simply hypocritical when you overlook the faults of Bush, B Clinton, Reagan, EVERYONE ELSE, and act as though she is far out of line. Just my $.02 here, I don't mean to start a flame war or anything

Only 4% of the things Trump says have been rated "True" by PolitiFact, as compared to 22% "True" statements from Hillary. Alternatively, 19% of what Trump says are "Pants on Fire" lies, but only 2% of what Hillary says are lies of the same degree. ( source for trump, source for hillary) But hey, I can agree to disagree with you. We believe the truth we want to see.

Hahahh... I'm so happy to be Australian. In all seriousness though, I would be so unsurprised if Trump managed to start WW3. And how has no one mentioned how he literally said that Hillary and Obama created that-one-terrorist-group-that-I-don't-really-want-to-mention-on-the-forums? He shouldn't be legally allowed to run for president. I've never been more pleased that I'm not in the US, and tbh I'm hoping that if Trump's elected, we'll stop hanging off America's shoulder like some lame trophy wife and actually learn to stand on our own two feet. I stg with Trump and Brexit happening at the same time, it's a wonder the world hasn't imploded with bad decisions.

Just my $.02 here, I don't mean to start a flame war or anything Not to start a flame war or anything, but: Actually, she's not as qualified as you think. She had a bad accident earlier this decade that caused brain damage, has weird 'seizures' when she's cornered by press, and can't handle serious stress (and serious stress comes from being president). Plus, when she was running for candidacy in 2008, she proclaimed to obliterate places where most of the population is Muslim, which is certainly not a good sign: there's probably a bigger chance of WWIII with her than with Trump. I recommend looking it up if you don't believe me. Sorry if I offended you.

I agree with what savv said above. Considering Trump is a bigot and is against everything I am and stand for, I think he's the antichrist. Hillary ain't much better. I think the Benghazi scandal was disgusting, and I think she's a liar and fake but imo Trump will be responsible for more death and violence than Hillary could ever conjure up if elected. I'll be voting for her, there's no way I could not vote or vote for Trump in a clear conscience. I would vote third party, but alas that's basically handing your vote to Trump considering America just isn't set up for a third party candidate to ever get anywhere. ^^

I think Hillary and Obama are the most racist people in America. Obama always sides with the extremist groups and him and Hillary are keeping some of the African-American population where they are at by giving them free stuff that I bet you 90% of them could work for. And actually, it's not free. This is tax payer dollars that they worked hard to earn and don't plan on spending them on lazy people who just don't want a job. Obama is siding with the 'Black Lives Matter' Movement and saying that the cops have it wrong when in reality they don't. Are some cops racist? Yes of course, they're still people but assuming that all cops are racist is wrong. Like what happened with the Michael Brown case and what happened in Milwaukee a few days ago, those were just cops defending themselves. Michael Brown was high when he robbed a convenience store and then assaulted a cop, and yet somehow he is still innocent. The portion of the black community, and even some of the white community, in the 'Black Lives Matter' movement are racist. All lives matter.

Wait, when did Obama say the cops were in the wrong and that he sides with the Black Lives Matter movement in this situation? I had read previously that he condemned the violence towards the cops, not condone.

Okay, I feel like if we're going to talk issues, we need to have multiple sides presented. (Also, I reeeaaaalllyyy need to get this off my chest)
BLM does not seek to antagonize cops. They seek ACCOUNTABILITY for a number of cops who are irresponsibly violent.
Here are some truths that I think everyone can agree with: - Most police officers are fantastic people who put their lives on the line for our safety. They're heroes. - A minority of police officers are undoubtedly racist and trigger-happy. - Recently, the general public has become more aware of individuals, more commonly POCs, who were shot and killed by police officers, many of whom had done nothing illegal or even impolite (ie. Philando Castile, killed by police when he was pulled over with his family in the car, attempting to take out his license while complying with police instructions). Even many children have died at the hands of racist cops. - Yes, some of the people killed by police had committed crimes. But people who commit minor crimes (ie. selling drugs on the street or DUI) should not be sentenced to death. The police force is not the jury, nor are they the executioner. - Historically, police officers are not held accountable for their actions. Grand juries typically acquit them and even recent developments in body cameras have been sketchy (in Chicago, one officer's body camera *mysteriously turned itself off* while the police shot an unarmed man)
Naturally, for the sake of justice, the minority of police officers who abuse their position of authority to do harm should be held accountable for murder just as anybody else should. To these cops, who disgrace the honorable reputation of the police, the lives of black people aren't respected, and this racist leaning causes people to die, spouses to become widows, and children to lose parents. That's what BLM fights against.

In response to this specifically, I recommend you read $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America by Katheryn J Edin & Luke Schaefer. In the 1990s (under Bill Clinton and a Republican house led by Newt Gingrich), the welfare system was completely overhauled. This new system was designed to give aid to those who got a job (in the form of tax credits) and eliminating the cash welfare system that existed prior. AKA: People don't get "handouts" anymore. The only aid that is widely used by the unemployed nowadays is food stamps. The issue with poverty is that the vast majority of unemployed people want and are able to work, but are unable to find a secure job. Most jobs available to these people come with highly fluctuating hours, often dangerous conditions, and (because workers are so easy to attain as a result of supply-demand inequity-- more workers, not enough jobs) rules that are so frivolous that a hardworking, loyal employee of three years could be fired on the spot because she missed her bus after walking her kids to school and arrived late one day. The book I mentioned goes into detail about families in the deepest poverty and how there simply aren't enough opportunities available for them to get and keep a job. In one example, a woman's job cleaning foreclosed houses came with such disgusting, unsafe conditions that she became physically ill from it, but taking sick days would result in her getting fired and losing her only meager source of income. Basically, in the 90s when welfare reform was enacted, the stereotype of "giving handouts to lazy people" was widespread. Now, after the reform, we see that the stereotype in fact didn't exist then and doesn't exist now, and while the new tax credits do help those with a steady job get lifted out of temporary poverty, they do nothing for those who are stuck in a cycle of destitution.
