Apollo grinned as they reached a small river, or a creek one might say. He trotted forwards and started drinking from it.
"Because of the growl," Aro said. "My owner was in a weird state when the growl happened and left me because all his cows and sheep ran away, I immediately ran into town to find Frost."

Stella listened carefully and nodded, sounded like something any dog would do. "What about Frost, what happened to her long-paw?" She asked lightly. It was odd trying to carry on a conversation with another dog, she'd never actually tried it before. All th dogs she used to be around weren't much for talk, just fight. This was probably the longest conversation she'd ever had.

Fell took a drink before heading into the water up to his belly. The cool water helped ease a little of the aching in his paws.

"They were already out when the growl happened, Frost was trapped in her house and I had to get her out," Aro explained simply. "What about you? Where were you before the growl?"
Apollo trotted through the water, drank a bit before trotting to the other side.

Stella frowned a bit. So the long-paws just abandoned Frost? Cruel. But it seemed must long-paws were. She shrugged, "I was in a cage most of my life. But about once a week I was thrown into a arena to try and rip out another dogs throat. Long-paws called it dog fighting, they thought it was amusing. They placed money to see which dog would kill the other." She said darkly with a small shake of her head.

"Should we go get the others?" He asked Apollo, climbing out onto the bank.

"Yes," Apollo said, wading back across. "We'll have to check across the river later," he said, shaking out his fur.
