You walk towards the shores of a bright blue lake. Thank the stars, you think. Water! You tumble forward with fumbling steps. It feels like it’s been moons since you last drank. You’re just about to take a sip, when you suddenly hear footsteps behind you. Before you know it, you’re surrounded by strange foreign cats, and freeze in your tracks. You see one of the strangers unsheathe its claws and suddenly you become painfully aware of how vulnerable you are. Calculating your chances, you realize that you’d surely die if you were to pick a fight with any of these cats. Choosing your words with care, you say: “I am terribly sorry to intrude. I simply came to drink some water... I’m just curious, I don’t think I have ever seen so many cats at the same time. Are all of you related, or are you in some sort of alliance?” The foreign cats glance sceptically at each other. No one says a word, but they all seem to understand each other perfectly, non-the less. A lithe black she-cat steps forward, and you can feel her bright amber eyes stare you up and down, examining you with a keen gaze. She sends her – what were they? Friends? Allies? – a warning glance, as if to dare them to oppose her. When no one says anything, she turns back to you with an authoritative expression. “We are one of four so-called clans in the area. Indeed, you could say that we are an alliance of sorts, though we’re much more than that, too. We hunt for each other, we protect each other and we die for each other. That’s the way of the clans”, she says in a proud voice. You feel slightly dizzy. Never have you ever heard of anything like it, and in your silent mind you almost start to envy these cats and the strange bonds they have to each other. The she-cat seems to catch your wonder, and continues speaking. “My name is Mothstar, and I’m the leader of DepthClan, home of the witty and strong. We could use a smart young cat like yourself…” She looks you in the eyes, and suddenly you see her in a different light. While she doesn’t smile, you sense a warmth radiating from her. All of a sudden she isn’t so intimidating after all, and you realize that this just might be your chance to finally find a home. “So, what’s it going to be, youngster? Do you dare to leave your old life behind in favour of a bright new one here in DepthClan, accepting all the wonders and dangers that come with the warrior way of life?” Forum Rules - - Please follow all Forum Rules. You can read the Forum Rules here Literacy - - I'm not asking that you write a novel, but I do expect correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. What I mean by that is dnt tlk lyk dis. It's annoying and hard to understand. If you want to use "&" instead of "and" that's completely okay. When you're not roleplaying, you can use text talk as much as your little heart desires. Activity - - Please don't join then never come back, you'll be wasting your time and mine. I understand if you're busy and can't come on everyday. I do ask that you try to come on once a week to roleplay. If you don't roleplay for 3 weeks, without prior notice, I'm afraid I will have to delete you. But you can always rejoin. Respect - - My most important rule. Be nice. I hate bullies with a passion. If you are mean to someone you get a strike, 3 strikes and you're out and cannot rejoin. End of story. Kit-Killing/Stealing - - Kit-killing is not allowed by any outside users. It is allowed within the clan only if it is part of a plot that I, and the user roleplaying the kit, allows it. Kit-stealing is not allowed under any circumstances and will be reported. Roleplay - - When you're not roleplaying, use (), [], {}, OOC, or something to help others identify whether or not you're roleplaying. Like I said before, text talk is not aloud during roleplay, but is aloud when you're not roleplaying. Also, keep all roleplay PG/PG-13 Spam - - Do not spam or advertise. "_______ come to _______" every once in a while is okay, but don't make a habit of it. Characters & Realism - - No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stues. This is a realistic roleplay, so I want all characters to be realistic. So no perfect characters, please. No cats with powers, wings, or pink fur. Also, try to make the warrior names realistic as well. For example, please don't use the names Dragonclaw or Magicpelt. There is no character limit. You may make as many as you can handle. But if you make 3 or more characters, I ask that you don't make them all the same gender. I'm not going to ask you to make a tom for every she-cat, but I want the gender ratio to be somewhat even. I'm not expecting it to be exactly even but I don't want it to be 1 tom for every 6 she-cats. If you are going to start out as a queen, you must have a mate and kits/be pregnant or have a backstory on what happened to your mate and why you do not have one at the time of joining. And if you want to make a kit, you should make another cat of another rank, and can only make a kit without a mother if there is an open queen willing to foster a new kit. And since there always tends to be too many apprentices, there should only be one apprentice per every three warriors. Have Fun! - - My second most important rule. I made this roleplay for the enjoyment of myself & others. If you have an idea for a plot to make this roleplay more enjoyable, please tell me. There are no bad plots. I will do my best to try to use that plot. Sorry if these rules seemed harsh.

Welcome to DepthClan, home of the witty and strong! DepthClan's territory is very diverse when it comes to terrain. As a result, DepthClan cats are all-rounders, able to hunt both in the shadows of great trees and under the open sky. However, their speciality is fishing. Cats from this clan tend to have short, sleek fur, as not to soak up too much water that makes them heavy and slow. Their claws are needle sharp, built to catch slippery fish, and their reflexes are excellent. In battle, they tend to rely on cunning and quick, capricious movements above pure strength, due to their lithe build. Despite this, tomcats often have quite broad shoulders and large paws, though they are just as elegant as their female counterparts. DepthClan is known for raising thoughtful, witty individuals with a great sense of duty and loyalty. They are diplomatic in their interactions with the other clans, though they are prepared to fight if they deem it necessary. However, they will always look for a peaceful solution before they resort to teeth and claws. Season - - new-leaf [ ] green-leaf [ ✕ ] leaf-fall [ ] leaf-bare [ ] Prey - - Fish (Very common) Water voles (Common) Forest mice (Common) Squirrels (Common) Rabbits (Uncommon) Bats (Rare) Small reptiles (Rare) Predators - - Foxes (Common) Beavers (Common) Wolves (Uncommon) Dogs (Rare) Eagles (Rare) Badgers (Very rare) Several moons ago, there was no DepthClan, but several cats surrounding a lake. Although a few lived with their families, several lived alone. Most cats fought over the prey near the lake. There were very few peaceful cats, and Depth was one of them. He believed that it wasn't hard to share prey. He soon trained a cat known as Moth, who grew up in PeakClan, but decided to leave Clan life. At the time, she thought it was a good choice, even though she was just an apprentice. Depth died soon afterward, but Moth tried training herself. She soon met others who believed it was foolish to fight for food. She told them of Clan life, and they decided to make a sort of Clan, living together. Soon, they lived easily, but lots of cats eventually came to join. However, there was no real leader. With more cats, it seemed necessary. Moth, now Mothsong, had already told the Clan about StarClan, and they had a medicine cat, Spiderleaf. Spiderleaf had a dream sent from StarClan, making Mothsong leader. She took up the name Mothstar, but the Clan was named for her mentor, Depth.

Territory - - Training Hollow A great valley south of the camp. It’s just a five-minute walk from camp and is, as the name suggests, the perfect spot for training. The hollow is made up of earth soft enough to soften a fall, yet not wet enough to slow one down. The most reckless kits often go on their first adventure outside of camp here, since it’s so close to home. Moth Lake The lifestyle of DepthClan is completely built around the lake, and the clan is completely dependent on it. It lies in the middle of their territory, just north of camp and is the clan’s main source of prey. Carps and trouts are the most common types of fish, but pikes and minnows can also be found. It is, obviously, named after the founder of DepthClan. Half-Bridge One of the twolegs’ strange inventions, no one knows quite what it’s for. What they do know, however, is that it’s a perfect spot for soaking up the sun. Still, a warning: twolegs may show up unexpectedly during greenleaf. Because of this, only the stupidly reckless prefer The Half-bridge to Sunningrocks for basking in the sun. Sunningrocks Speaking of, Sunningrocks is a collection of stones located in the north of the territory, on the border to CloudClan. While it is known to be the most peaceful spot in all of DepthClan territory, it has its own dangers. Foreign warriors lurk in the shadows at the other side of the border, and adders can suddenly appear in the cracks between the stones. Their poison is absolutely lethal, and you're almost guaranteed to die if you're bitten. The Whispering Woods The Whispering Woods make up almost all of the eastern side of DepthClan’s territory. It’s a great deciduous forest mainly consisting of gigantic maple, aspen, alder and birch trees. When the wind blows through the leaves – which it does frequently – it sounds like someone is whispering, hence the name. Some believe it is the whispers of the dead, and medicine cats are known to go for long walks here - and not only when collecting herbs. The Streams Countless streams run from Depth Lake and through the territory of all of the clans, including DepthClan. Two streams run into the Whispering Woods, and two run in the north-west, before emerging near Sunningrocks. The stream closest to camp is mainly used for cleaning purposes and drinking, while the rest are fished in for the most part. The four streams found in DepthClan territory are sometimes referred to as “The Two Sisters” and “The Two Brothers” respectively. Camp - - DepthClan's camp resides in a ravine. Three large trees surround it, providing cover from the sun and shelter from heavy rain. The barrier around the camp consists of bramble bushes, bracken, and ferns. The entrance is marked by the paw-beaten path up a slight slope. Cats do need to climb to leave, but they can easily jump down from the small but sturdy ledges. There is another barrier that the cats have helped mold and create just before you enter as extra defense. On the outside, it is thick of thorn bushes and brambles, but when you enter, you see the inside is softened by ferns. Upon arrival in the main section of camp, you see a large clearing where the sun peeks through the trees. High Rock At the edge of the sunlight, High Rock protrudes from the earth. Here, the leader calls for meetings. Leader's Den Past High Rock, if you're facing the lake, is where the leader's den rests. It is made from fallen stone due to a collapse in the ravine. The den is safe and quite comfortable. Medicine Cat's Den To the far left of the camp is the medicine cat's den. An old, dead tree gives the den shelter for patients and herbs. Ferns clutter around the tree to help block out the cold and wind. Warriors' Den Across the way of the nursery lies where the warriors den resides. The den is made from a large bundle of gorse with a large bush for the senior warriors. Apprentices' Den Next to the warriors den is the apprentices den. It's a large bramble bush accompanied by a few clutters of ferns. Nursery Near the elders den is the nursery. It's surrounded by ferns, gorse, and brambles for protection and shelter from weather. It's the largest den, providing room for many queens and kits. Elders' Den Across the medicine cat den, the elders den is made of brambles and bracken. It is in the nook of the ravine and one of the safest places.

Leader - - Morningstar With his broad shoulders and proud, authoritative gaze, no one could ever take Morningstar for being anything but leader. He has golden fur and needle-sharp claws, the reason he is often compared to the legendary members of LionClan. While his eyes are a fiery green colour, they still appear cold. You can never guess what he is thinking, and he has a gaze that makes you feel like he's always two steps ahead of you. Which you're probably right about. His whiskers may have turned grey, but don’t let that fool you into thinking he is weak. Morningstar is one of the strongest cats in the forest, and definitely the most intimidating. However, his main strength would be his aptitude for strategy. It is said that he never smiles, but that would be a lie. He only saves it for the truly special moments. Praise doesn’t sit loose with him either, but that makes it all the more honouring. Contrary to what the other clans will tell you, he isn’t heartless. In fact, Morningstar might be the most loyal cat you’ll ever meet. He would do absolutely anything to keep his mate and clan safe, and if he ever were to lose his mate he would never love again. She and a collect few friends are also the only ones to see his more witty and soft side. 50 moons Dragoness Deputy - -
Frostcloud
With her sharp tongue and wit, cats should be wary to ever cross Frostcloud. Of course, with her lithe features and quiet authority, you may underestimate her, but her bite is much worse than her bark. Frostcloud is a graceful all-white she-cat with a fluffy tail. She has the lightest gray markings on the tip of her tail, paws, and ears. She has luminous green eyes that can either show all her emotions at one or artfully guard her opinions. She can be a bit impulsive, making whatever situation better or worse. One of her worst traits however, is her her pride. She can think much to highly of herself and unfortunately doesn't hide her bloated self-esteem with other cats. One of her best traits is her loyalty. If you have won her allegiance like Depthclan has, then you have one great fighter on your side. She will do whatever it takes to protect those close to her. She has a soft spot towards younger cats and can be seen play-fighting with them. Her parents were loyal members of the clan and they are now in Starclan. 36 moons pinacolada Medicine Cat - - Stormcloud All black tom with white paws and tail tip. His eyes are a deep yellow. He is very tall and skinny, made more for running than fighting. He has a small chip of his left ear missing, no one knows why. Storcloud is very quiet and reserved. He tends to lose himself in the signs around him, and is very superstitious. He tends to wander off, without telling anyone where he is going. 38 moons ~Tigerblaze~ Medicine Cat Apprentice - - Minnowpaw Minnowpaw is a pretty tortoiseshell and silver she-cat with leaf-green eyes. Minnowpaw is a kind, bubbly, and inquisitive young she-cat. Always keen on helping her clanmates, she seemed to be destined from the medicine den even as a kit. She is eager to learn and always willing to try new things. However, when something goes wrong, she gets easily flustered and embarrassed, and can become upset when someone brings up this insecurity. An upset Minnowpaw is nothing like her usual self, and can become quiet and withdrawn. 9 moons ~Skyblaze~ Warriors - - Lynxpelt With a fluffy pelt, Lynxpelt is not what you would see in an everyday DepthClan cat, her eyes strange as well, one a brilliant blue and the other a soft green. With her stripes and appearance like a lynx, she could easily be as big as Morningstar. She has long and sharp claws to match her size. She may be younger than her mate but she is just as wise, though she does not block her kindness away from other cats. She is a loyal and gentle cat, with a lot of patience. When she was younger she would spend most of the daylight trying to get Morningstar to hang out with all her other friends. She started to develop a crush on Morningstar ever since he started to warm up to her. She is always willing to help someone after that, and she would do anything for her friends, mate, and family. 47 moons Vinyl Riverheart Capable, energetic and assertive are keywords to describe Riverheart. She is fiercely loyal, but will put justice/doing the right thing above following orders. Like her father, she has been blessed with a brilliant strategic and rational mind, although she has more of an adventurous streak than he does. Her parents have taught her to be respectful and polite, but to stand up for herself and her beliefs. Those are fundamental values for her. She loves training apprentices, as they tend to have much more spirit and energy than the older warriors have. She is patient and friendly with the young ones, though she can be quite an intense mentor. She is a light brown tabby with deep blue eyes, white paws and unusually sharp claws. 25 moons Dragoness Ravensong Ravensong is a strange tom. He has sleek jet-black fur, huge paws and unusually long whiskers and tail, making him an excellent hunter. His eye sight isn’t the best, but he makes up for it with his keen hearing. Speaking of his eyes, they are a striking deep blue colour and usually the first thing people notice about him. He always has them open wide, making them appear even bigger than they actually are, and he blinks so rarely people nervously joke he doesn’t at all. Had cats known of vampires, he had surely been accused of being one. To make matters worse, Ravensong was born a rogue. He grew up in a rogue group who treated their kits very harshly, something his mother Freya simply could not accept. She had joined for love, but gradually started despising that lifestyle. By sheer luck she met, and eventually befriended the former leader of DepthClan. When he offered them a place in the clan, Freya gladly accepted. However, that leader soon died, and the two have struggled to settle down completely in the clan. Because of his unnerving demeanor he has struggled with making friends, despite the fact that he is actually an absolute ray of sunshine who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Ravensong doesn’t mind being different, he only minds being lonely. 25 moons Dragoness Freya Freya is a gorgeous she-cat with sleek, jet-black fur and deep blue eyes. Her paws and belly are white, as well as a small mark running from her forehead to her nose. She grew up a loner, but joined a rogue group in her youth because she fell in love with a member there. She bore him a litter of three, but Ravensong was the only one who survived. The rogue group did not treat kits well, and Freya immediately started planning how she could get out. By sheer luck she met, and eventually befriended the former leader of DepthClan. When he offered them a place in the clan, Freya gladly accepted. However, that leader soon died, and the two have struggled to settle down completely in the clan. Freya refused to give up her name ,as a reminder of her past, and still thinks of the tom she left behind. Nontheless, she is extremely grateful for the chance DepthClan has offered her, and she is just as willing to lay down her life for the clan as the next warrior. She is a spunky and hardworking she-cat, and an excellent hunter. While her son is her entire world, she would like to find herself a new mate to live out the rest of her days with, and maybe even have a second litter. Freya is like a magnet for kits and apprentices, who are attracted to her exotic background, crazy tales and motherly demeanor. 43 moons Dragoness Stormwind Stormwind is a dark gray and black tom with clear blue eyes. His tail has black rings along it like a raccoon. He has a small scar on his flank. Stormwind is a friendly, easygoing, and adventurous tom. A natural jokester, he has a sense of humor and enjoys trying to cheer up downcast cats. However, he is surprisingly a very empathetic cat, and can be a very good listener as well. He is also a bit of a daredevil, and is not afraid to explore in places that are often considered dangerous. Despite his easygoing personality, he can be fierce and protective when it comes to those he cares about. 27 moons ~Skyblaze~ Adderflame Adderflame is brown tabby tom with amber eyes. He has a black muzzle, left paw and tail tip, while his chest is white. Two notches in his left ear and one in his right, also a scar on his left shoulder and back leg. Adderflame is quite proud and arrogant. He expects the best results in everything, especially his kits. He can come off as bossy and ordering others around. He's fierce and loyal willing to give his life for his clan at any moment. When Adderflame was a young warrior, he fell in love with a Kittypet, sneaking off to see her every chance he got even after finding out she was expecting his kits. One day when he went to visit, he saw a twoleg carrying one of his kits away. Furious he asked his mate why she wasn't fighting for their kits, not liking her answer he attack her, grabbed the last two kits saying they would be raised as warriors and raced back to the clan. 38 moons Taiyou Fernstone Fernstone is a pale brown she cat with orange eyes. Her muzzle, paws, and underbelly are white, she has a black stripe running along her back and her tail tip is black. Fernstone is cautions, she always seem to be on watch for something. She's kind of outgoing as she enjoys being a few friends, around her close ones she's more cheerful. Fernstone is loyal and brave, wishing to serve and protect her clan anyway she can. Born and raised in Depthclan, her parents were Websoar and Pebblethorn. Websoar was killed on a patrol at Sunningrocks while Pebblethorn passed away during Leaf bare. 20 moons Taiyou
Shadowflight A handsome, skinny dappled golden tom with light green eyes. He has a strange white stripe along her spine. He is kind but, shy. He is hard to open up and doesn't speak much. He loves helping his clan out and will go on patrols as often as he can. He prefers to watch everything from a distance and keeps his judgement to himself. He watches everything around him, carefully, and takes note of every detail. He may be quiet but, don't underestimate it. He sees more than it seems and is very attentive, especially when fighting. 16 moons Mintstream Breezefoot This she-cat is nothing if she isn't fast. Well, she's talkative as well, but one of her main strengths is her speed and agility. On the battlefield if you don't pay attention you'll probably end up missing an eyeball. Breezefoot is a pretty silver tabby with a creamy white chest and paws. She has bright, wide blue eyes. She is a very optimistic, kind-hearted cat and she is very, very talkative. She loves the feel of the wind in her fur. One of her best qualities is that she is very determined and resilient; she won't give up and she won't let others do so. One of her worst characteristics is that she is very sensitive and can be easily hurt. She loves the apprentices, as she was just recently one. Her mother was a rogue that gave Breezefoot to Frostcloud to take care of. 23 moons pinacolada Apprentices - - Creekpaw Creekpaw is a bluish gray tabby she cat with amber eyes. She has white paws, chest and muzzle. The tabby pattern on her body are black mackerel loose spots and her nose is pink. Creekpaw is always curious to learn something, she's quite cheerful and out going. She's calm and carefree, unlike her brother or father she isn't quick to lose her temper and wouldn't fight unless she really has to. Creekpaw likes to take things slowly and enjoy almost any moment given to her. Creekpaw was born in a twoleg place with Beetlepaw, she doesn't remember her mother or other littermates. Even though half clan, she isn't bother by it unlike Beetlepaw, Creekpaw believes it's better to leave the past and focus on the future. 9 moons Taiyou Beetlepaw Beetlepaw is a brown tabby tom with green eyes. He has white front white paws, chest and muzzle. The stripes on his body are black mackerel loose and his tail tip is black. Beetlepaw is bold and brave, he's always seems to be looking for a fight. He's is very serious, fierce, and ambitious, it's clear that he takes after his father, Adderflame. He dreams of being the best warrior in the clan. Beetlepaw was born in a twoleg place with Creekpaw, he doesn't remember his mother or other littermates. Since he is half clan, Beetlepaw feels like he has to prove he is a clan born. 9 moons Taiyou Shockpaw Dark yellow she-cat with brown spots in random places on her body. Her tail is striped white, with the tail tip brown, and her paws are white as well. Her eyes are a bright yellow. She is reserved and quiet, with a tendency to speak her mind when prompted. She is not afraid to tell it how she thinks it is. She wants friends, but it seems her personality clashes quite a bit with other cats to the point where she is thought of as weird or mean. She tries her best but some how she never feels good enough. 10 moons ~Tigerblaze~ Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Queens && Kits - - Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname --- Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Elders - - Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname

Battle Moves - - Back kick Explosive surprise more to catch opponent from Behind. Judge opponents distances from you carefully, then lash out with you back legs, taking the weight on your front paws. Back rake A bit like Belly rake, if your a SkyClan cat this move works best. If your fighting a cat from the front, jump over the cats head and score your claws down their back. Belly rake A fight stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws across soft flesh of opponents belly. If your pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back in control. Double death bite Seems dishonorable and is only used against very evil cats. A partner and you take on one cat. Once you've got a hold of your opponent, your partner helps hold down enemy cat, and you both bite hard down on enemy cat's throat. Two pairs of jaws will cut off airway and cat will choke to death. Like I said, it's considered dishonorable and would only be used against evil cats like Tigerstar. Dizzy dance Only can be preformed by a extremely small and quick cat against a larger and at least somewhat slower cat. The cat charges head on then swiftly leaped sideways, ducking under the cat then as soon as the cat preforming this attack is out from under the other cat it spins and leaps over it. Then once More spins but rams the side then jumps over/goes under the cat and rams the other side then land one final blow by leaping onto the cat's back and grabbing the scruff with teeth and using your free paws to batter the cat's head. This attack should in the end result in a dizzy or confused enemy. Dizzy tackle A great move for swift young warriors facing older, larger warriors. You run in circles around them at top speed until their to dizzy or tired (if the were chasing you) to keep up. Then you tackle them. While they are down, attack. Caution, standing directly over them makes you vulnerable to the Belly Rake. This is a One-on-one move and is not recommended in a place with many foes. Front paw blow Frontal Attack. Bring your front paws down hard on you opponents head, claws unsheathed. Front paw strike Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent. Claws unsheathed. Killing bite A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort. Leap and hold Ideal for a small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto the opponents back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent paws and in the position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Leap-and-cover Ideal for making your opponent feel much pain, leap onto your opponent's back and put your paws over their eyes. For the moment the opponent is blinded, sink your claws into the soft skin around their eyes. If your opponent doesn't run away, take advantage of their temporary blindness and perform leap-and-hold move. Making sure You never know if a opponent is actually dead. When an opponent goes limp, they become vulnerable, so make sure they are really dead. Bite and slash. Claws unsheathed. When you think they have gone to StarClan, pray and leave. Partner fighting Warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting the others back while fending off an opponent o either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be whirlwind of danger for attackers. Play dead Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxed his grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and you are in the attacking position. Scruff shake Secure a strong teeth grip in the scuff of your opponents neck, then shake violently until he or she is to rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, which are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. Tail trip The opponent moves to you and at the right moment, trip them with your tail. Teeth grip Target your opponents extremists- the legs, tail, scuff, or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap and hold, except your claws remain free to fight. Unbalancing act If a cat is going to bring down all its weight on you while rearing on its back legs, role towards your opponents hind legs to unbalance him. Upright lock Final, crushing more on already weakened opponent. Rear up on your back legs and bring full weight on your opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This move makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so requires great strength and speed. Battle Tactics - - Approach from behind your enemy The advantage is gaining the higher ground is that you can charge at greater speed at the enemy, who will be weakened by having to fight uphill. Use the light from the sun The sun should be behind you to dazzle your Use the light from the sun enemy. In green leaf, the midday sun is especially bright and cruel to cats who are used to sulking under the cover of the trees. In leaf bare, the low sun hovers around the eye line like a troublesome bee, keep your enemy from facing it, and they'll have trouble seeing an attacker from any direction. Know were the wind is coming from If there is a strong wind, it should be blow from behind you toward the enemy, blinding them with dust and holding them back like a current of a river. If you wish to preserve the element of surprise, the wind should blow from the enemy position toward you so your scent is carried away from them. Conceal the size of your force The number of cats in your battle patrols can be hidden to confuse the enemy from a distance. Cats packed tightly together will appear as a small attacking force, encouraging the enemy to be over confidant and make poor strategic decisions. Alternatively, is cats are spread out in signal file, they will look like a solid border of warriors, which will seem impenetrable to an advancing enemy. Attack from both ends of the Enemy first If both ends of the enemy line are defeated, the cats in the center of the line will have to fight the two fronts. Even if they are outnumbered, the will be out flanked, vulnerable, and in disarray. Keep fresh warriors in reserve Always have adequate reserves of fresh, fit warriors behind the battle line. They will be able to replace injured warriors, launch a separate attack if the enemy tries to encircle your forces, or fend off a surprise enemy from the rear. If the battle is in your favor, finish it by sending your reserve warriors behind the enemy line to surround them and demand surrender. Feigned retreat and ambush A group of strong cats charges at the enemy, screeching, then turns and withdraws. Repeat this until the infuriated enemy finally breaks it's line and gives chase. Then the trap is sprung. Other warriors positioned in rabbit holes and other dips in the ground-out of enemy eyes line- attack as soon as your opponents have gone past. The enemy will be forced to stop and turn around to fight the unexpected threat, as they do the retreating cats must turn and charge back at them with full speed. The enemy is caught between two bodies of attacking cats and will quickly surrender. Water Combat - - Double-Front-Paw Splashes water into the face of the enemy. Underwater Leg Sweep (Front of Hind) The opponent will not see it coming under the water so won’t have a chance to brace himself before losing his balance. Push-Down and Release Almost all non-XeoClan cats panic if they are submerged, while XeoClan cats know how to hold their breath underwater. This move can be used to secure a decisive victory, because it’s most likely to make the opponent surrender. Underwater Clinch Uses warrior’s weight to hold the opponent below the surface, with a firm grip that enables the warrior to bring his enemy spluttering back to the surface before forcing him under again. Tail Splash Temporarily blinds opponent by flicking water in his eyes. Underwater Push-Off Crouching and erupting out of the water into opponents, using surprise and impact to knock him off balance. Sandpaw Splash Using noise of water splashed at a distance to create a decoy, leaving opportunity for a surprise attack. Above-Ground Combat - - The Sky-Crusher Landing with all four feet on top of an opponent, flattening him like a leaf. The Flick-Over Landing with front paws outstretched to sweep the opponent off his feet and roll him onto his back. The Kick Kicking down hard as the warrior nears the ground, then using momentum from landing to spring away before the opponent can retaliate. The Slice Dropping down with claws unsheathed for maximum injury. The Branch Swing Holding on to the branch with front claws and swinging hind legs into the opponent’s face. The Reverse Branch Swing Holding on to the branch with back claws and striking with front legs through the swing. The Trunk Swing Sliding down the trunk and springing off at head height, using hind legs to push off and clear opponents. (Good if tree is surrounded.) The Reverse Climb Climbing backward up the trunk as the opponent advances to gain advantage of height; often followed by Trunk Swing. Surprised? - - Move quietly and communicate using tail-signals. Cracking twigs, startling birds, and rustling bracken will tell the enemy exactly where you are. Keep downwind of the trespassers so that your scent doesn’t give you away. Look for freshly broken twigs, overturned leaves on the forest floor, remains of prey, or a clump of fur caught on a bramble. Any animal that moves through the forest leaves behind signs that it’s passed-and signs like this could lead you straight to the invaders. Keep your mouth open to search for unfamiliar scents. Be careful: If there is scent when there is no breeze to carry it through the forest, it could mean that your enemy is very close by. Light-colored pelts are easily seen against brown and green foliage, so stay in the thickest cover. Keep low-the enemy will be looking for movement at normal head height, not close to the ground. Never miss an opportunity to perfect your tracking ability. In the nursery, kits sneak up on their mothers and pounce with their moss-soft paws. Apprentices leap out on one another from behind bushes and tree stumps. These are more than just games. One day, these skills could save your life and defend your Clan.

Riverheart was sat chatting lightly with her father, watching the clan slowly come to life. She liked waking up with the sun, and had already been up for quite a while. Her paws were itching to do make use of themselves, and when she saw Stormwind padding out of his den, she walked over to him with long, graceful steps. "Good Morning, Stormwind. Up for a hunt?"
Sorry I'm so darn poofy! }

(No prob! I have nothing going on today so I can RP the entire day)
Stormwind perked up as the she-cat approached him, and his eyes brightened. He had always admired the intelligent and graceful she-cat even when they were apprentices. "Good morning, Riverheart. Of course I am!" He replied with a friendly flick of his tail.

Riverheart smiled at his enthusiasm, and flicked her tail back at him in a greeting. "Great. I'm itching to go hunting. It's the perfect day for a swim, don't you think?" She looked up at the sky and purred with delight. It really was a beautiful day.

Stormwind mewed, padding beside her. "Why don't we go to the lake?" He suggested. To him, it was already a perfect day, a hunt by the lake with the pretty she-cat was more than enough to stoke his enthusiasm.

"Perfect. I see the fresh kill pile is lacking in minnows today, perhaps we'll catch some." Riverheart looked over her shoulder at the pile with a furrowed brow, before shaking her head and smiling at Stormwind. She hated not being useful over longer amounts of time, and was already restless from walking around in camp all morning.

"Great, something tasty for the kits." Stormwind smiled as he padded out of camp. He let the cool breeze waft through his fur and drank it in, enjoying the weather.
