Akai sighed and followed her. He didn't have his usual spark, but that didn't stop him from acting like it. The battle really had put his abilities into question. Was he going to soft? Was he not trying hard enough? So many questions. Walking over he smiled "Let's head out!"

She had a couple scratches on her arms from the glass in the fight the day before... but nothing as bad as his. She wondered if he really was okay to travel but figured he was too stubborn to wait. "So how long does it take to get to Granitecape?" She asked him as they walked north towards Route 2. "You've already won your battle there right?" |

(Good news guys! My cat is getting better!) Gale grinned and nodded to the other Gym leader. "Alright let's get this thing all set up!" He placed the Trolley on the thick cable and set it up so it wouldn't fall off or cause any problems. "Come here and let me hook you both in." He waved them over. "You aren't afraid of heights are you?" He asked suddenly and with a smirk. "Akai come on!" Peter called back into the Pokemon Center as she walked out of it. She was antsy to leave Sunshore City after the fight yesterday. She had barely been able to sleep and now just wanted to get on the road and out of this city. She stood on the sidewalk outside of the Pokemon Center and looked around at the buildings surrounding her, and couldn't but help feel oddly claustrophobic about it. Maybe she would feel better once they left. She glanced back to see where Akai was. Tie smiled and said," as he walked over to him and said," no we are perfectly fine with heights so let's get this thing started. " "Good, because some of these drops you go over are pretty steep," Gale nodded as he hooked Tie's harness into the trolley, tugging it to make sure it was secure before then doing Carracosta's. "Okay you are all set, When you are ready just take a step off the cliff and gravity will do the rest. Keep your arms close to your body and don't try to grab anything besides yourself or your harness, especially don't touch the Trolley as it gets really hot from braking and can burn. I'll wait a couple minutes after you go before heading down myself. When you get to the bottom, unhook your harness and then your pokemon's and step away from the cables so I have room to come down." He explained before stepping back. "Other than that... enjoy the ride." |

nothing really! We just skipped to the next day when they are leaving for GraniteCape! If you want to make a form for the Shiny Houndour then that would be cool and we can say he was already going to keep going with Peter and Akai!)

Tie smiled as him and his partner went down the zip line all the while screaming put in joy. Once they had reached the bottom the got unhooked and moved out of the way so Gale could come down next.

"Yeah, I did. If we keep up a good pace we should be there before the day is over. Though it really does depend on how slow or fast we walk." he was being careful with his arm, not wanting to tear and stitches. Having a sling would have made things hard so he has ditched it before he left the Pokémon center.

Hunter brought two bags of pastries one for herself and the other one for her Pokémon. Ghost Freak floated besides her happily munching on a poke puff. There were a lot of people at this year's festival which meant a lot of trainers probably with strong Pokémon, who might challenge the gym but in the mean time Hunter would enjoy the festival.
Tatsumi continued along route 2 heading for route 3 which soon should put him at GraniteCape City where the first gym was located. He only had two Pokemon so if he challenged the gym now he would probably just lose right off the back. He's only was either train or catch more Pokémon.

(I sincerely apologize. I've been bogged down with work)
Peter nodded, feeling all the bruises ache as they started to walk. "I don't know about you, but I'd rather walk slower today..." She said quietly. "I want to see the sights! I've never been this far from home before!" She put on a smile and looked around as they left the city.
Gale watched the two go down the mountain, glad they looked like they were enjoying themselves. He waited a couple minutes after they were out of sight before hooking himself to the cable and jumping off the cliff. It was always exhilarating to zip line down the mountain, even if it was for an emergency. He let himself relax as he flew through the air, laughing loud and listening to his echo off the cliffs. When the trolley braked and deposited him safely down to where Tie was he grinned big and unhooked himself. "Man that never gets old! Did you enjoy your ride?"
Sam glanced up from the two younger trainers and spotted Hunter making her way through the festival with her Phantump. "Hey Hunter!" They called, waving an arm towards her in greeting. Flare glanced up and trilled a greeting to Ghost Freak.

(Okay party time over lol. I'm gonna be more active now so I would like for the rest of you to be active as well. Sorry for my bad activity the last couple of months. The holiday season is super stressful and busy for me so I didn't have as much time or energy as I would have liked to respond. So i apologize for that. All members have till next Saturday to come on and be active. Those who aren't will be deleted.)

Tie and Caracosta walked over to gale went he landed and Tie said," yeah that was really cool, surfing is still far better though." Caracosta then gave a nod to show that he agread.

April was about to respond to Sam before the Champion turned and called out someone's name. She turned to see Hunter, the gym leader, and smiled. Ace wagged his tail happily and greeted the other Pokemon enthusiastically.

"If you say so," Gale shrugged as he took off his harness. "You can put those in the box here," He opened a box similar to the one that had been at the top of the mountain and placed his harness and the two trollies into it.

"Okay so let's hike down to the beginning of the mountain trail, which is 2 minutes away and then we will start setting up check points for hikers every half mile so they have a safe spot to rest and call for help if needed." Gale explained as he locked the crate up and shouldered his backpack. "So if it's out on the trail we'll make a little shelter for them and a spot to make a fire and also install a couple call buttons that will signal to the Search and Rescue base at the top of the mountain for help. Sound good?" He asked Tie as he started walking down the path towards the base of the trail.

Gale laughed. "Okay if you need me to explain anything just let me know," He chuckled as he lead the way. He stopped when they reached an arch that signified the beginning of the trail up the mountain. There was a sign posted that warned travellers about the dangers of the mountain and to make sure they had enough food and water for the trip. "Okay from here we'll measure out a half mile and then build a checkpoint." He pulled out a GPS tool and re-set it to measure out distance as they walked. "Ready?" He asked.

Gale kept glancing at the GPS as they walked before stopping when they reached the half mile mark. He glanced back down the trail and thinking for a moment. "Yeah I think this a good distance." He nodded to himself and took off his backpack and set it on a rock. "Okay so we need to clear a space so we can make a shelter big enough for a couple travellers to sleep under.... Do you have any Pokemon with moves that can break those boulders?" He asked Tie.
(I think his Golduck could do it with Focus Blast if you want)

Tie gave a quick nod and said," Yeah I think that I have the perfect pokemon for that." Tie then called out Goldy the Golduck and had him use Focus Blast to break apart the rocks.

Gale stepped back as the Golduck started to break the rocks, putting an arm up to protect his face from any dust and debris that might go flying. "Perfect!" He grinned when all the boulders were cleared, leaving a nice flat section next to the path that would be perfect for a check point. "You want to start gathering rocks together in order to make a fire pit in the center?" He asked Tie as he started going through his bag. "I'm gonna set up the call beacon and then we can work on the shelter together."

Akai nodded, humming in reply. He almost wanted to run to get back to where he had left off, but knew she had a point. Nurse Joy had told him to not do anything that might tear the stitches. That meants running, climbing, and anything else that might pull at his shouler. It was infuriating.

(Sonce Quinn has 2 gym badges that would mean she is either still in Lushsong after her gym battle or on her way to CloudyHeights. So she can be at the festival or run into Gale and Tie at the base of the Mountain on Route 9. Idk about Kendyll tho)
"It's been a while," Sam agreed, making a face as they realized it had been a loooooong time since they had seen Hunter. "Did you get my message?" They asked, referring to the mass message they had sent to all Gym Leaders earlier in the day. Flare flapped her powerful wings, circling the Phantump and the other two Pokemon before settling down again.
Peter felt awkward walking in silence for so long. Once they had left the city she looked around at the grassland and fields surrounding them. "So...." She finally spoke after about 20 minutes of walking. "What's the GraniteCape gym like? You already beat him right? Can you give me any pointers?" She knew she had a lot to learn about Pokemon Battling before she even came close to having a chance against the Gym there.
Gale nodded to Tie and called out his Archeops again, having the Pokemon help him gather a log, secure it in the ground and then set up the beacon on it. When they were were finished and Tie was finished Gale took a moment to think about how he wanted the shelter set up. "Okay so the cliff here already kind of has an alcove we can use to build the shelter off of. I was thinking that if we can dig it out a bit and then close off the front with a canvas cover it would make a great mostly natural shelter." He squinted his eyes at the wall, taking out some chalk from his pocket and went over to it, drawing a couple of X's on it. "Do you think you can ask Golduck to use Focus Blast again on these X's? It looks like the rock forms in a way here that could make it naturally break the way we want it if we do it right."

Tie looked at all the X's and said," That should be fine." Tie then looked at Goldy and said," You heard the man Goldy let's get it done." Goldy gave Tie a quick nod and did what was asked of it.

"That's so cool," Gale grinned when the Golduck had finished, leaving the perfect alcove to build a shelter off of. "Okay great. Uh.... I didn't bring a tent with me so let's leave this and I can finish it tomorrow. I want to keep going and do the next one!" He nodded, grabbing his backpack. With Tie and his Pokemon helping this was going to go so much easier than if Gale did it alone.

Akai thought for a moment "Well he uses rock types and because of that his Pokémon have a solid defense. He isn't really know for that though. He has solid abilities all around so you can't just focus on breaking his defense." he said "Hes also a really nice person. If you want to practice before the battle I can help."
