(I didn't say stop lol I just thought it was really funny. A staraptor is like 60 pounds so jeremy must be ripppeddd)
Sam stopped when they got close enough to the gym to see that it was closed, Hunter must be out enjoying the festival. They figured they could catch up with her later, Sam hasn't been able to enjoy the Lushsong Fall Festival for years and they were excited to look around. They turned around and scanned the booths, looking for something that would interest them and their pokemon.

April shook her head and turned to Ace, holding out a Belue berry. "What do you think Ace?" April asked as Ace sniffed the blue berry before eating it quickly and chirping in delight. April smiled and stood up and looked around, her eyes set on the trainer she saw outside the Lushsong gym. She wondered if she should go over, and ask if they were waiting for a gym battle or something.

"Hey Flare," Sam spoke to a Pokeball as they pulled it out of their bag. "Wanna come see the party?" They smirked as they let their Talonflame out of her Pokeball. She looked around for a moment and trilled happily as she flapped her wings and hovered next to Sam. "Come on, lets see if they have your favorite berries." Sam started walking towards one of the berry booths, letting Flare look for her favorite.

April thought about bringing out her other Pokemon, but Luxray might try to eat all the brries again... April moved out of the way to let a flurry of trainers pass and her eyes set on a Talonflame as it flew over to the berry booths, immediately making her think of Embers. Ace however chirped and walked over to the Talonflame to greet it, his tail waving charmingly.

Apri bit her lip in annoyance as she was suddenly pushed to the side by another person. "These people are so rude!" She spun around to address Ace but realised the Leafeon was not standing where he was a few moments ago. The girl looked past crowds of people and saw the Eeveelution with the Talonflame and a Staraptor. "Hey, Ace!" She hurried after her partner Pokemon.

“Staraptor! Come down here! Leave Talonflame alone, please!” Jeremy said. Turning when he heard April run up. “I’m super sorry! I didn’t mean to run into you!” He apologized.
Staraptor ignored Jeremy and kept trying to get Talonflame’s attention.

(Sorry! I went to Universal Studios yesterday with a friend and my gf)
Sam smiled when they saw the Leafeon from earlier approach their Pokemon. "Well hello there," They greeted Ace with a warm smile.
Flare dipped her head in greeting to Ace, calling out a hello. She was slightly startled when Staraptor came seeming out of nowhere and tried to get her attention. She took flight in her shock but settled down after a moment. She trilled a hello to the other bird Pokemon as well, happy to see so many Pokemon around that weren't always trying to challenge her. Being a Champion Pokemon tended to bring out the aggressivness in other Pokemon.
"Is this your Leafeon?" Sam asked as April ran up. "He's very friendly!" They smiled in greeting to her, nodding to Jeremy after meeting him for a second time.

"Leaf-Leaf!" The Pokemon responded to Sam with a casual wag of it's bright green, leaf-like tail. April smiled warmly and nodded, "He is definitely is one of the friendly types." She looked at the champion, though not recognising the person due to the hood. April watched Ace, the Talonflame and the Staraptor interact with each other before remembering something and turned to Sam. "Say! I saw you walking to the Lushsong gym, were you going for a gym battle?"

Sam couldn't help but hold back a grin. "Uh actually, Hunter the Gym Leader is an old friend of mine and I needed to talk to her about something. I haven't had a gym battle in years honestly." They shrugged as they watched the Pokemon interact. "Have you already fought her?" They asked, liking to know how strong the trainers they met were.

Jeremy shook his head as the Staraptor kept chirping making it so she didn’t hear the Talonflame. Jeremy shook his head and headed over to Sam and April. He listened with interest wanting to see how strong April was.

April nodded enthusiatically, "Yep!" She responded as she took out a badge case to show Sam and Jeremy, she opened the transparent lid to show all 8 gym badges. Pointing to one of the badges, the trainer added. "We won and got this badge. The Glade badge." April grinned as Ace chirped in agreement, his leaf-like ears flicking.

Gale lead the way out of the city and towards one of the tall cliffs that surrounded Cloudyheights. "We could take the tunnels to the bottom.... or we can take a faster and much more fun way." Gale offered with a laugh to the other Gym Leader. "Up to you of course."

"Okay then," Gale grinned and walked over to a large stainless steel beam that was anchored upright into the side of the cliff with a big steel cable in the top that seemed to run all the way down the cliff. "Let's go Zip-lining!" he patted the beam before going over to a lockbox next to the beam and pulling out a couple of harnesses for humans and one that was about Caracosta's size. "You ever been Zip lining before?" He asked as he pulled out the parts that lock onto the cable, they looked High-tech.

April nodded. "I plan on challenging the elite four soon, but first we need to train. And then I'll challenge the champion! Just like I did in Alola!" She tried to sound enthusiatics but a stab of greif hit her as she thought back to the day she was defeated by the Alolan champion. Ace yipped and jumped happily.

"Okay well the good news is that you don't have to worry about breaking, the Trolley is electronic so it will pass a marker ont he cable and break for you so you don't crash or anything." Gale explained as he passed a human and Pokemon Harness to Tie. "Put these on and I'll have you two ride together so you can keep an eye on Caracosta. You can adjust the belts so they fit." He demonstrated how to put the Harness on by putting his own on. "The Ziplines are usually used for Rescue Personel to get to the bottom of the cliff in an emergency, but I want to get this started before night falls so we can use it."

"Well then," Sam smiled as they pulled off their hood, enjoying this dramatic reveal. "I look forward to your challenge one day." They held out their hand to shake hers as a promise to battle her when the time came.
Flare practically screeched in excitement, looking forward to battling Ace one day. He looked like a strong and formidable opponent.

"Its pretty lucky that we got here just in time for the festival." She walked along hands behind her head. "We should go check it out, what do you say?" Helios flared the flames on his back to life, "Lava!" Quinn laughed, "Haha okay okay, we will go right now! I bet the booths will have some good items for us to use!"

(Good news guys! My cat is getting better!)
Gale grinned and nodded to the other Gym leader. "Alright let's get this thing all set up!" He placed the Trolley on the thick cable and set it up so it wouldn't fall off or cause any problems. "Come here and let me hook you both in." He waved them over. "You aren't afraid of heights are you?" He asked suddenly and with a smirk.
"Akai come on!" Peter called back into the Pokemon Center as she walked out of it. She was antsy to leave Sunshore City after the fight yesterday. She had barely been able to sleep and now just wanted to get on the road and out of this city. She stood on the sidewalk outside of the Pokemon Center and looked around at the buildings surrounding her, and couldn't but help feel oddly claustrophobic about it. Maybe she would feel better once they left. She glanced back to see where Akai was.

April's green eyes widened, sparkling enthusiastically. "M-me too." She said rolling over her words from the sudden surprise, "It'll be a great battle! And we'll give everything we've got. Right Ace?" The girl turned to her Leafeon. Ace bounced and let out a loud chirp; obviously very excited for the future battle. Though it was clear that the trainer wasn't just speaking to her partner Pokemon, but the rest of her team too.

Sam smiled at her enthusiasim. "But first you have to beat my friends and they are really strong." They warned her. "You and your Pokemon need to be fully confident in your abilities otherwise you won't make it past Aquila's first Pokemon. Believing in yourself and in your Pokemon is just as important as training to get stronger. If you don't work as a team then all that strength goes to waste..... But from the looks of it. You and Ace have teamwork down to a T don't you?" They smiled.
