(I got my first shiny in Let's Go! its a Pidgey!!)
Sam walked into Willoh City, having flown there during the night to see if they could catch the trail of Lacy, as they remembered she had escaped in that general direction. Flare landed on the wooden planks that made up the ground of the city, lofting it above the marsh below. She pecked at the boards for a moment before looking back to her trainer.
"Yeah you remember this place don't you?" Sam chuckled as they made their way towards the gym. "This is where you evolved into Talonflame," They held out an arm for her to fly to before they pushed open the gym doors. "Hello!!!!" They called, knowing it was still kind of early in the morning, but also knowing that Percy was likely to be up.

AHhh congrats!)
Percy was perched up in the stands of his gym working on a light that has stopped working. Cheri was sitting on his shoulder and turned her attention away from what he was doing when Sam walked into the gym. Percy looked over his shoulder and he grinned brightly when he noticed who had entered "Sam! What's up?" he twisted on the ladder he was sat precariously on and hopped down from it, walking over to greet the Champion.

Sam clasped Percy's hand in greeting and pulled him into a short hug (like a bro hug) with a smile. "It's been a while Percy," They stepped back to look him up and down. "You still shining a thousand lights onto your challengers?" They mused as they glanced at the ceiling with what felt like a thousand lights installed.

"Of course, they have to get he right feel for an electric type gym." Percy chuckled "Not to mention my pokemon like the feeling of having so much electricity around. I can't begin to explain how miffed they get when the power goes out." Cheri nodded, agreeing with her trainer. Having a lot of electricity around made it feel a lot like a place where she had lived before being caught by Percy. Not that she missed it, she was much happier with him. It just felt nostalgic at times.

"Hmmm interestng," Sam nodded thoughfully. They reached for a Pokeball on their belt and pulled it out. "I wonder if Spark would like it," They tossed the ball up and Sam's Vikavolt appeared, a Pokemon Percy wouldn't have seen among Sam's team. Spark looked around at all the lights, the feeling of electricity crackling through the building made it feel energized and it did a quick loop in happiness.

"Ohh! You have a Vikavolt?" anything else Percy might have been thinking of was thrown out the window and he walked closer so he could look at Pokemon more closely. He could tell that it was strong, which was obvious considering it was Sams pokemon and all. Cheri seemed somewhat uninterested in the Pokemon and kept her position on Percys shoulder. She was nervous when he first met her, but as she got stronger and more confident she had become less timid and just closed off. Before Percy could get completely side tracked she zapped him gently with a spark and he jumped "Oh yeah, what can I do for ya Champion?"

"Yeah, I caught her as a Charjabug when I was training in the forest by Sleepybay Town." They patted the top of Spark's head with a smile. The smile fell a few moments later as they were reminded of their reason for visiting. "Actually I...." A yawn broke their sentence and they shook their head to try and wake up a bit more. "Sorry we were flying all night to get here...." They glanced at the battle field for a moment. "You know what. How about we battle really quick, it'll wake me up and get me focused." They stretched their arms above their head and walked towards the arena, not even waiting to hear Percy's response. "I haven't had a good battle in a while." They don't get challengers often, which was unfortunate as they loved battling.

At the suggestion of battling Percy immediately lost interest in what Sam was going to say and said "Ok! You want to do a three on three battle?" he only had his gym Pokemon and three of his team Pokemon on him at the moment so unless Sam wanted a really easy win for half the battle they should go for a three on three or something smaller than that. Percy hurried over to the opposite side of the field, eager to start the battle.

"Sure that sounds good! I was gonna just suggest a one on one but a three on three sounds much more fun!" Sam called. They then motioned for Percy to throw out his first Pokemon as they called Spark to the battlefield, wanting to do an electric vs electric type battle first.

Percy was glad he convinced them. He pulled a pokeball from his jacket that was lying on a chair nearby and tossed it into the air "Azula, you're up!" there was a flash and in front of him was his Elektross that he had fondly named Azula. "You ready to get started?" he asked Sam. Azula readied herself for battle. It had been far too long since she had gotten a good work out and electricity flickered down her body in anticipation.

Sam smirked and shook their head. "I should be asking you that!" They called back before a determined look filled their eyes. "Spark use Acrobatics!" They quickly shouted, really in the mood to battle and not willing to back down. They had a reputation to keep anyways. As the Vikavolt sped through the air towards the Elektross at such an incredible speed it almost looked like she was disappearing from view, Sam was already thinking of the best way to have her dodge Percy's retaliation attack.

"Use Metal Claw!" Aron turned and lashed out at the dog pokemon. There was a cloud of dust that rose from the dusty ground as they clashed. When it cleared Aron had fainted and was laying on the ground. The referee called her unable to battle and Chasin returned her to her pokeball "That was a wise move, but the next pokemon isn't going to be so easy." he pulled out the second of his pokemon and called it out to battle. Omante was a water type and would hopefully be able to finish off Shadow quickly. Oh my bad, I thought it would still boost its power. Sorry I'm a little stressed right now. These past few weeks have been so busy and sadly they will only get worse going into this week. Like I only have classes on Monday/Tuesday, but I have hockey games on Thursday, Friday, Saturday. AND I have a ton of homework I have to get done before next week end. So I don't really get to celebrate Thanksgiving much because of our hockey game on that day) Also what I am thinking is for the next battle. Omante attacks first, wounds Shadow even more, but he gives off one more attack in an attempt to at least lower some of Omante, then Omante can finish him off with a second attack. Sound okay?) Shadow was huffing and puffing by the time that battle had ended. The last attack grazed his side and while it wasn't really an effective move, it still hurt. Blaze knew that while Shadow wasn't going to have much of an effect against Omante, his Houndour was on a roll and couldn't take him out when he knew that Shadow would be upset with the decision. "I'm sticking with Shadow," Blaze called to the referee to acknowledge that he was ready. Even Shadow sent out a small growl at the Omante, clearly not intimidated by Rock and Water type pokemon. |

Percy knew that Sam was good, but he was a gym leader and had some skills of his own. He waited a split second for the bug pokemon to get closer. It would be harder for the other pokemon to dodge, but it would also mean that Azula would probably take a hit as well. But that was fine, she was a bit of a tank. "Now Azula, use flamethrower!" flames spewed from her mouth and towards the bug pokemon. The strength of the attack made the air in the room feel warmer.

"Spiral!" Sam called, not even phased as the super-effective move quickly moving towards Spark. As the flames shot towards her, Spark started to spiral while still speeding towards Azula, dodging around the flamethrower. Though it did singe her legs a litte when she got to close but she was unphased as she finished using Acrobatics and slammed into the Elektross. She then retreated to a safe distance away and hovered in place waiting for the next order. "Use Bug Buzz," Sam nodded, glad that Percy was getting into the battle along with them.
The Vikavolt started to vibrate her wings really fast, sending red sound-waves around the arena that would damage Azula when she heard them.

"Don't let them get the chance." Percy ordered "Use Wild Charge." electricity flickered around Azulas body and she shot towards the bug pokemon like a bullet. Granted it wouldn't do much damage considering they were both electric types, but it would stop Spark from causing damage with Bug Buzz.

I just caught Articuno!!!!! I was not planning to run into it and was really taken aback!!! Got it on my like... 50th throw with an excellent throw with a Poke Ball!!!!!)
(I've been trying to respond all day but I have been overthrown by Let's Go Pikachu............ I've almost completed the Pokedex....only wild Pokemon I need is Poliwag, Mr Mime, exeggcute, Likitung, Scyther, Moltres and Mewtwo.... and I have to evolve a bunch of others and then bring Hitmonchan, Kabuto and Meltan over from Pokemon Go..... I have no life)
Sam let the move hit Spark, knowing Wild Charge also injured the user. "Use Thunderbolt," Sam called with a nod.
Spark charged up the move while Azula was still recovering from her Wild Charge and shot the Thunderbolt directly at her. "Acrobatics again." They weren't even giving Percy a chance to retaliate, it had been a while since Spark had been able to show off her power anyways.
(Hmmm how difficult should the battle be? I don't remember what levels Percy's nongym Pokemon were at.....)

Hmmm idk, it would make sense for Sam to win of course, but since Percy is a gym leader he should put up a good fight as well.) We could always have something happen and have them stop to, whatever works for you! I think they were high 60s or 70s level wise.) And I'm the same with Let's Go Eevee tbh. I ran into Articuno the other day and it was being the absolute worst so I left it for another day haha.)
"Let's use Flamethrower again." Percy ordered, not letting the quick attacks one after the other overwhelm him "Make a circle with the flames." he refused to let Azula get hit again. Spark would either run head first into the flames and take a lot of damage or have to back of to give Azula a breather. The eel pokemon twisted and let the flames surround her. She was close to the ground so no moves could hit her from below.

(yeah i figured! How about Percy's second pokemon knocks out Spark?)
"Move back and use Zap Cannon," Sam had no problem having Spark fight from afar, she had powerful moves that could cover both close and ranged fighting.
Spark quickly flew back away from Azula, just barely avoiding getting singed from the flamethrower. When she was a safe distance away she turned and charged up energy before shooting a yellow orb of electricity that had a red center through the rail-gun like mandibles on her face and directly towards the Elektross.

Sure!) I just spent like two hours trying to get a shiny Ponyta in Let's Go :\ I got like three perfect IV ones but not a single shiny.)
It didn't look like Azula would be able to attack and avoid the attack. Instead of having her take more damage he instead ordered her to get out of the attacks range "Azula, quickly pull back." he snapped out quickly, raising his hand. Azula hissed at that and dove to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack. Spark was much faster than her.

(lol rip. I'm so glad that you can catch Pokemon that evolve with stones tbh. Like I took 20 min and caught a wild NidoKing and NidoQueen when I would have otherwise needed Moon Stones to evolve them. So niiiice)
While Azula was dodging Sam called out another order, taking the advantage while they could. "Bug Buzz." They watched as Spark started to beat her wings quickly and sending out red sound waves towards Azula. "Follow it up with Thunderbolt." Now Sam was really starting to get into the battle, their exhausting wearing off as they were filled with excitement and energy.

Yeah, moon stones are hard to come by in this game!)
"Dodge again and use flamethrower." Azula dodged the Thunderbolt and managed to get a Flamethrower off before she was hit with the Bug Buzz and smashed into the ground. Percy winced at the impact. She looked like she wanted to continue, but as soon as she tried to move again she fell to the side and was knocked out for good.

(Yeah i found One in the Clefairy girl's room but no other one yet and i need to evolve my Jigglypuff... tho i may just transfer over a Wigglytuft from Go)
Spark took the flamethrower, shaking herself after Azula fainted and looked to Sam. Sam smiled at her then turned their attention to Percy. "You and Azula did great! That Flamethrower move is strong, and you two definitely have a strong bond with how quickly she listened to your direction."

Percy tried to hide the frown on his face. He knew that he couldn't let this battle affect him too poorly. Sam was the Champion after all. He returned her to her Pokeball and said to Sam "Thanks! Spark is looking great to, she's really fast." he considered his options for a moment before pulling out an Ultra Ball. Out of the ball appeared an Electivire "Ok Feedback, you're up next."

Sam frowned slightly as they look at Feedback (great name btw). He was going to pose a lot of problems for Spark, it would be important for her to stay at a distance. "Okay use Bug Buzz." Sam said, being on the cautious side. While focusing on the battle they were trying to figure out which of their Pokemon would be a better match-up against the Electivire.

Until Spark got close range Percy wanted to keep Feedback from getting too injured "Don't let it get the chance to hit you, use Flamethrower." Feedback opened his mouth and flames poured from it, shooting towards Spark. Feedback was faster than Azula for sure. He would also be able to do more damage as soon as Spark got close range "Follow it up with Ice Punch." a cold energy surrounded his hand and Feedback ran towards Spark. He jumped towards the bug pokemon and swung.

Shadow veered to his left to avoid the water gun, but was still tagged in the back part of his legs. He spun out on the ground, striking a rock and yelping out in pain. Yet, he got back to his feet, a sense of desperation rising in him. Blaze watched Shadow battle not only Omanyte, but also his injuries. Once he watched Shadow stand again, he called out to him, "Shadow use Smog." Shadow opened his muzzle and let out a poisonous gas out on the area surrounding the rock and water type pokemon. Although Blaze knew it wasn't going to be an effective move, it was much better than trying a fire type move on Omanyte. |

Chasin took this chance to raise Omanytes defense "Use Withdraw." Omanyte winced as the smog cause some damage and withdrew into his shell. With his defense rose he popped back out and Chasin ordered "Good job, now use smack down." Omanyte twisted and shot a rock towards the fire pokemon.
