We went out for a couple hours earlier and I have a 98 IV Bibarel so i never have to catch a Bidoof ever again. I caught enough Starly to evolve to a Staravia and i got enough chimchar to evolve to a Monferno and I am halfway to an Infernape. Caught some Buneary and a Kricketot! I've been waiting for Gen 4 since Pokemon Go came out and I can't wait for them to release more of the gen throughout the week!!!!!

Also since you liek Shinx you can get a shiny shinx in Tier1 shinx raids and hatch Luxio's in 10k eggs

Wowow! You got a lot done! Maybe I'll convince my brother to go out with me later and catch some stuff. I LOVE the Buneary line. I was thinking of getting a Buneary for Cecil or Akai haha. I have like four shinies in USUM.)

Buneary has consistently been one of the shines I get in Pearl/Platinum from grinding in the Eterna Forest lol
but yeah lol I want more Turtwig tho. I have it as my buddy!

I hope you can get a Torterra soon! I always struggle when it comes to choosing starting in Gen 4. I don't like Chimchar at all, but I love both Piplup and Turtwig.)

(Same. I do think Chimchar is cute and I think the designs for it's evolutions and the names are really cool but it sucks that it's another fire fighting :/ I love Turtwig so much and Piplup is adorable and i think it's super rad that it's a water steel type

I wish I could like Chimchar, but if it's a monkey I can't like it. I think it comes from my deep seated hatred over Curious George but I can't be sure. Monkeys are just gross to me??)

I totally feel that like I kinda of have an immediate gut reaction to Chimchar as well but then I realize I actually liked it when I was younger bc fire type pokemon used to be my fav and then I realized how much cooler grass types were lol and how much better they fit my love of nature. But I picked Chimchar as my partner multiple times so I recognize that it is super nostalgic for me. Also Mach Punch and Flame Wheel are really cool moves)

That's a good point! It's probably the best starter all things taken into consideration but I just can't bring myself to ever use it. I think ghost pokemon would have to be my favorite, I love spooky things.)

(Ur like my gf there lol my gf looooooooves ghost Pokemon and when we play DnD she wants to basically have an all ghost type team lol)
(Okay question time: Least fav starter Grass type, Fire type and Water type go 1 each)

Hmmm for me it would have to be Chespin, Chimchar or Tepig, and I really do love all the water type starters... but if I had to choose a least favorite I'd say Squirtle. I'm not a huge fan of its evo line.) How about your all time favs? Mine are Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Froakie.)

For the most part I really like the starters! There are a few third evos I dislike, like Littens, but most of them are pretty cool.) I used to dislike Popplio a lot but I've learned to love it after doing a play through with it. Technically it was my younger sisters game but I had to get some Moon only pokemon to finish my Dex and she forced me to do the work so I could get them haha)

(Yeah I do think the third evos could have been designed better and I'm not saying I don't like Popplio, it's just my least fav out of the water types. I don't like how... Gendered it looks? Same with Incineroar tho Primarina is really cool)
"Tackle!" Peter called out of instinct, wanting her Pokemon to get out of the way of the rock tomb. Her Turtwig started to run forward. A couple of the rocks started to rain down around him and a decent sized one got between him and the Aron but he pushed forward and tackled it, using surprising strength to dislodge it from the mud and send it flying towards the Aron. "Great now use Razor leaf!" Peter called, a couple of rocks hit Turtwig's shell but they were small and bounced right off only damaging him slightly as it wasn't very effective so he was able to push through and swing the branch on his head and send leaves flying behind the rock towards the Aron.
"Oh thanks," Skip blushed at the compliments and took a sip of his water to hide it. "I always cooked with my dad when I was younger and when I decided I wanted to be a Pokemon Breeder and got into making Pokemon food I decided to treat trainer food teh same way." He shrugged as he explained.

"Use metal claw." Aron used metal claw and smashed the rock but was too slow to react to the razor leaf. The sharp leaves smashed into Aron, sending her tumbling back into the dust. When it cleared Aron was standing. She shook before stumbling and falling to her side. "Aron is unable to battle! The winner of this battle is the challenger Peter!" Akai whopped from his seat and his pokemon followed suit. Chasin smiled and returned his Aron.

Peter was in shock for a few moments not really processing that she and her Pokemon had won. "We did it." She said to herself, disbelieving. "We did it? We did it!!!" She cheered with the last one grinning and running to Turtwig and picking him up happily. "You did amazing! I'm so proud of you! You and Holiday!" She hugged Turtwig and laughed as the leaves on his head tickled her face. She looked towards her friends and waved excitedly at them.

Chasin walked over to Peter "That was a great battle. You're last order was brilliant, you really got around my defenses with it." he held out his hand and on it sat a badge "Well done beating me, you earned this." being the first gym leader new trainers usually fought was nice. It gave the trainers their first real taste of victory and he liked to see how far they would go on whatever path they ended up taking.

"Th-thank you!" Peter stammered, exhausted from the emotional toll of the battle, as she reached out and took the badge. She had mixed feelings about winning the gym battle and wasn't sure she liked the whole experience. She ran her thumb over the shiny surface of the badge a slight frown on her face as she looked at it.

"Is something wrong?" Chasin asked, tilting his head to the side and placing his hands on his hips. His voice was curious, not judgmental or unamused. Akai had come down from the stands to congratulate Peter. He stood a bit to the side when he heard Chasin ask her this. He was equally as curious to hear the answer.

"N-no, I mean I don't think so," Peter hurried to say not wanting to ruin the moment. "I just.... I'm not sure if I like doing Gym Battles?" She looked up at Chasin nervously not wanting for him to get upset or think she is ungrateful for the badge. "It's just... a lot and I'm happy I won and stuff but.... I thought I would feel better?" She was so confused about her own emotions.

"There's more to owning a pokemon than battling Peter. You don't have to battle for gym badges, no one is expecting you to. There are plenty of options for you to consider." Chasin replied. Akai raised an eyebrow. He could never not battle... it was the best thing about training pokemon in his opinion. The rush you got when you won... he couldn't give it up that's for sure.

Peter mulled his words over for a moment before nodding and smiling a little. "Okay, I just need to find what I want to do. Thank you for the Pokemon Battle." She was grateful for his wisdom and felt better now that the pressure to do gym battles wasn't weighing on her, she just wasn't sure what she wanted to do and she was worried she wouldn't figure it out. But that was to think on later so she mentally shook the thoughts from her head and turned and smiled at Akai.

"Good job on winning Peter." Akai congratulated her, nodding to Chasin as he walked over "All that training paid off." Chasin gestured for the group to follow him out of the battle area so they could get started with repairing the field. Once in the main area he excused himself to go and heal up his pokemon at the pokemon center.
