"Well if you want some let me know I feel bad about just ditching you," Claudia said as she munched on her cone listening to the others conversation as she watched the Pokemon enjoy their treat. Cin was the first done and she watched Q use her bone club to keep the fire Pokemon away from her ice cream as she ate at a more graceful pace Sorry I keeping forgetting to check this RP. Sometimes I don't get notifications from the site, its really weird..) Blaze nodded to Claudia. "Sure, can I just get some vanilla, please?" Blaze asked, a smile forming on his lips. He turned to Akai and Peter, understanding that he likely couldn't put off the gym battle any longer. "How about this, after I finish, we can all head over there?" |

I'm not sure yet XD lol I stopped liking people's post on other RPs because they are using Tapatalk and I guess its hard to go through the notifications on it. IDK never used it before)
Blaze paused for a moment, also thinking about who he was going to send out first. "I don't know...." Blaze said, an awkward laugh following his statement. He didn't know whether or not to lead with Shadow or Treecko. Maybe lead with Shadow first, just in case Treecko isn't ready.

Claudia nodded and went inside the ice cream shop waiting in line to get him a Vanilla Icecream. It took her a while to get through the line on a hot day with everyone wanting to get some for them and their pokemon eventually she comes out and hands it to him "Here you go sorry I didn't know if you wanted a cone or a bowl so I got you a waffle bowl " she said with a shy smile as she sat down.

"What about Shadow?" Peter suggested. "He's strong and willing to fight isn't he? Maybe if Treeko watches you two battle in such a big battle he'll be more willing to help and listen?" She was pretty much grasping at straws with the suggestion as she had no idea if Treeko would even watch or be interested in the battle.

"Yeah I think, I will lead with him, even though I know he will start with a type disadvantage," Blaze said with a nod to Peter. Once Claudia returned, Blaze smiled at her especially for going out of her way to get a waffle bowl ice cream. "Thank you so much," Blaze said. "I would have been fine with whatever you'd have gotten."

"Starting strong, good idea." Akai nodded. He knew that it would be hard for the fire type, and even against grass and water types Chasin had tactics. This battle was going to be rough.

"What do you remember from your gym battle here?" Peter asked Akai with interest. She was hoping he could giver them a few pointers even if he didn't want to reveal the Pokemon the Gym Leader used.

"Yeah, I had my stronger pokemon with me though so the pokemon I fought would be different than the ones you guys will have to fight. But I can tell you for sure that having just a grass type or just a water type won't ensure victory." he thought about the pokemon he had gone up against and continued "Gym leaders are supposed to throw you off and they'll all have a pokemon that will be able to cover a weakness." since he had Banette and Luxio the pokemon used against him were a bit stronger. Since Peter and Blaze had lower leveled pokemon they would be fighting lower leveled pokemon.

Peter nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense," She said and glanced at Blaze. "Its really interesting how Gym Leaders don't allow trainers to get by with just type advantages, it makes you actually think and figure out a strategy huh?"

Akai nodded, agreeing with her words "It is also nice cause it shows you don't need the type advantage to win. In the end it's all about strategy." type advantages just made things a bit easier. The more talented that trainer like gym leaders and elite four members probably didn't have to worry as much as a new trainer might.

This both releived Peter and worried her more. She was releived that even if she didn't have two Pokemon with Type advantages against the gym she could still win, but she had to have a good strategy and she wasn't sure she could come up with one. She glanced down at Holiday, worried that she wouldn't be able to use her Pokemon's agility and speed well enough to avoid the super strong Rock type attacks.

Akai was listening to the others chatting. He yawned and stretched out, feeling his back crack and leaned back against his chair. He was about to mention something when his phone started to buzz. Looking surprised he pulled it from his pocket and noticed that it was from his families work phone. That's unusual, he thought as he stood and took a step away before answering it. He didn't want to distract the others from their conversations.

"Yeah, I understand that this will likely be one of the hardest battles," Blaze said with hard look at the ground. He understood that the gym leader wouldn't relied just on having a type advantage. He gave off a sigh as he bit into his ice cream before it started to melt. The cool sensation helped clear his complicated and cluttered thoughts and just focus on the now and instead of the possibilities of losing.

"I think you can do it Blaze," Peter told him, glancing at Akai as he stepped away with a curious expression. "And I mean. Whats the worst that can happen? You lose? You can always try again right?" She tried to cheer him up. "You're a really genuine guy," She told him with a soft smile. "I know Treeko will come around to you sooner or later."
"Oh Akai sweetie," An extremely motherly voice came through the phone, she also sounded extremely frazzled and upset. "This just won't do.... I am at my wits end and don't know what to do. Oh this is a nightmare! This is an emergency!"

Akai frowned and tilted his head a bit before asking "What's up?" he sounded worried. It was rare for his mother to call him, much less with a problem. His family let him go on a journey and had promised not to bother him unless it was truly and emergency. "What can I do?" he asked, wondering if she'd need him to come home.

Blaze smiled toward Peter, glad to have their support and advice for the hard battle upcoming. Although, he was nervous, Peter was right because he could just try again if he lost. "Thanks for the advice," Blaze said with a smile.

Claudia smiled as he thanked her for the ice cream and sat down slowly starting to tune out the conversation she pulled out her note and had started writing down notes from the battle between Shadow and Holiday earlier Claudia had kind of zoned out not thinking she would be helpful in this conversation anyway.

"Oh my sweet boy," Akai's mom sounded apologetic. "You know I'm happy for you and I love that you are travelling... but the moment you left your Ampharos has been so uncoopoerative and just.... downright rude! I love her and the rest of your Pokemon to death but.... she's just being unbearable and your father is having issues getting her to help out with chores and she keeps shorting out the generator whenever we ask her to charge it and I missed an important meeting because she shorted my alarm clock....." She sighed. "Is there anyway you can send us your precious Luxio and we can send you your Ampharos? She's just so antsy and is missing you dearly and you know how she likes to battle. Your father and I can't keep her happy here."

Akai frowned, that wasn't good at all. He had left Ampharos to help out with the generator at home and she had been mad about it... but until now she had done her work. Akai called Luxio over and knelt down by her, letter her know about what happened. The pokemon snorted and rolled her eyes but nodded. Akai ruffed her fur and thanked her. Returning to the phone he said "Luxio says she'll help out. I'll head over to the pokemon center so I can send her." he sighed "Sorry about Ampharos, I can't believe she's being so uncooperative."

"Your father and I can't offer Ampharos the excitement that you can and she knows that," Akai's mother said apologetically. "We'll do our best to keep Luxio entertained and happy of course! I'm sure Ampharos will be very happy to see you! Let me go get her ready for the transfer okay? Talk to you soon my son." With that she hung up.
"Everything okay?" Peter called to Akai, seeing his upset expression on his face.

Claudia looked up as she overheard Peter "Hum?" she looked around and looked over to Akai and Luxio then at Peter realizing that she had just missed something important but relaxed as it seamed peter knew just about as much as she did.

Akai pocketed his phone and turned to his friends, a frown still on his face "Yeah, just another pokemon of mine is causing problems at home. I have to run to the pokemon center, you guys can still chat of course. Just thought I'd let you know before I ran off." he returned Luxio to her ball and gestured for Dartrix to follow him.
