Quinn set down Mio and shook the Champion's hand. "Of course! I'm looking forward to the battle as well! I've got a long way to go but I'll get there someday I'm sure!" She grinned, proud that Sam thought she and her pokemon were already strong. "We will have two new members on our team, I hope you'll be ready to meet them when that time comes!" Two slots remained on her team and she wondered what kind of pokemon would join her on her journey, but she was sure they would be great whenever they came along.

Before Claudia could react Cin was back behind her legs "no Worries ill keep her back" Claudia said having been watching her pokemon as she ran around. Claudia pulled out her Pokeball and brought Cin back in figuring it would be best to put her curious pokemon away while the group got more used to her being around them. she held Q closer to her chest wondering if they would let her travel with them or if she should head out after the Battle.

Sam smiled and nodded. "Enjoy your journey, that's the most important thing. If you enjoy it and have fun then your Pokemon will do the same and you will all become very close." Even though they were traveling the region right now to gather intel on Team Infinite, they were still happy that they got to meet so many young trainers that were in various stages of their journey. "It's been really nice to meet you Quinn." They gave a small wave as a goodbye and started to walk away before stopping. "Hey, do me a favor." They reached into their pocket and pulled out a small paper card and held it out to her. "If you run into any more of those Team Infinite members, call me. I'll do what I can to help out." And with that they were gone. back into the sea of broken kiosks and shop stands, seeing what they could do to help out.
Peter listened to everyone talk as they walked back to the Pokemon Center's battle field. It was interesting to see how the Pokemon were all interacting with each other and she wanted to learn more about Blaze's Houndour later, maybe find out why he was so protective and wary of everyone. When they all arrived back she turned to Blaze. "Ready to battle?" She asked him as she stood at the edge of the field, a little nervous to walk out to the trainer box.

Akai sat at the side, taking advantage of the shade a tree cast over the bench. Dartrix landed beside him and Luxray sat at his feet. He waited for both of the trainers to be ready.

Blaze smiled at Peter, giving her a thumbs up. Walking over to the trainer's box, Blaze turned and bent down to Shadow's level. "Are you ready buddy?" He asked with a smile, glad to be training with his pokemon once again. Shadow gave him a happy smirk as he looked across the field at Peter and her pokemon. He turned back to Blaze and gave him a howl as a sign for his readiness.
Shadow jumped into the battle field, his eyes burning with a fiery passion. He growled at both Peter and Holiday, though it was more of a 'bring it on' than an aggressive growl.

"Come on Holiday," Peter looked at her Pikipek that was perched on her finger. "It's your turn! I know you'll do your best!" She smiled and pushed her hand up and Holiday took flight and landed in the field facing Shadow.
"Piki!" She called, hopping around excitedly for her first battle with Peter.
"Ready Blaze?" She wasn't sure who should start first or how this really worked. She looked at her Pokemon, taking a second to think about how small she was compared to Shadow, it had to be dangerous to have her battle a bigger Pokemon like that right? But Holiday looked excited and ready for the battle so maybe she shouldn't worry so much.

"Absolutely," Blaze said, a smile appearing across his face as he loved the thrill battling gave. Though, he hoped he would soon be able to figure out what was wrong with him and Treecko. Maybe its because I didn't give him a nickname like Shadow. Shaking his head slightly as he had to clear his mind from overwhelming and psyching himself out of the battle before it even began. Blaze pointed his hand toward Peter, a gesture for her that informed her she could conduct the first attack. "Good luck!" He yelled across the battlefield.
Shadow gave a toothy grin in Holiday's direction, one that meant he was prepared and ready to battle. Although, he was bigger than the bird, he wasn't going to underestimate it especially with its ability to fly.

"You too!" Peter nodded and furrowed her brow. Shadow was probably stronger than Holiday and had more experience so it would probably be a dumb idea to attack head on. "Okay Holiday! Take off! Use growl!"
Holiday spread her wings and took off into the air in one flap and started to fly in circles around Shadow, far enough out of the way that he couldn't bite her too easily. She did fly close enough to let out a growl that would lower his attack.

"Oh yeah of course!" Quinn took the paper from Sam and also waved her goodbye to the champion. Mio mimicked her and waved too. Quinn looked at the card with Sam's contact information on it. "Cool!" she said and stashed it in her (key items pocket) bag. "Well everyone we better get back to work too," she procured her remaining Pokeball with an occupant, "Calliope we need you too." The clefairy appeared in a burst of light. "It's the least we can do before we move on." Together Quinn and her pokemon continued to help pokemon and people alike. "After we are done here we can stay the night at the Pokemon center and then we will go somewhere new, maybe we can find some other trainer to travel with!" she explained to her pokemon as they worked. "I think we need to head to..." She paused in her work to try and remember the next town, "Cloudyheights!" she exclaimed, "That's where we will be going next!"

Sam pulled out their PokePhone and dialed Kendyl, the dragon-type gym leader. She was the strongest Gym leader while Marmp City was doing what it could to fill the recently vacated spot. They would need her help while the rest of the elite four were conducting their own investigations.

Claudia quietly took her seat off to the side. She sat near Akai under the tree watching the pokemon. Claudia took out her notebook and sketched the scene in front of her before writing down the details of what is going on under the scetch. Q looked over at her trainer watching her zone out focusing on the battle. The cubone sighed shouldering her bone club and cautiously approaching the other trainer's pokemon curious to see them.

Although, Blaze expected Peter to try and lower his pokemon's attack, she probably didn't realize his game-plan barely involved Shadow trying to touch Holiday. "Shadow, use Leer!" He yelled and into motion went the dog-like pokemon as he threw an intimidating glare in Holiday's direction.

Akai watched the two battle with some interest. They were both setting up their strategies. It was a good habit to get into. Running into battle without one was a bad habit to get into. Especially against gym leaders. They always had strategies for almost any situation and you had to learn to think around what they had in place.

Kendyl picked up on the first ring and immediately jumped into speaking, “Thank Arceus you called! I’ve been freaking out over here!” She flopped down in her desk chair, it spun slightly as she sat down. “Is everything alright? Did anyone get hurt? The news is pretty sparse right now, I feel like I don’t know anything!” Kendyl realized her rambling, “Ah! Sorry Champ for probably cutting you off, heh... what do you need?”

Holiday's wings faltered for a second as her defense fell but she continued to circle above Shadow.
"Holiday! Get in close and use Peck then get out of there!" Peter called, not wanting her Pokemon to be in the danger zone near Shadow's jaws for long.
Holiday circled once more before diving down with speed and pecking at Shadow's side, the speed of her beak was fast due to her previous life of pecking holes into trees. It took her a few seconds longer to flap her wings and try and change directions to get away from Shadow, leaving her vulnerable.
Sam chuckled a little as they listened to Kendyl bombard them with questions. "Calm down Kendyl," They mused softly. "Everyone is okay.... mostly. I think Team Infinite got away with a couple Pokemon but mostly everyone is safe and fine. There hasn't been much news because everyone is helping pick up the mess... they really ruined the festival...." They looked at all the wrecked booths and merchandise scattered around the center of town. "Anyways I got to talk to one of the commanders of the group. Captured her for an hour and interrogated her before she escaped but I got some information about the group from her." They neglected to mention the fact that they had chased after her and then nearly fell a hundred or so feet to their death before a trainer and her Pokemon caught her. Best not to worry Kendyl too much. "Her name is Lacy Walker. I want to know everything I can on her and her connection to Team Infinite. Do your social thing and put your feelers out..... go on TV if you feel like it. I'll talk to Gale as she blames him for the death of a friend." They weren't very good at big public things and knew that the dragon-type gym leader liked to do have the attention on her... which worked for them. "I want her picture everywhere so we know where she and her goons pop up next. You're fine but I'm going to talk to the other gym leaders about being more open and public with their appearances and just showing that we are strong despite the attack on the Fall Festival. You understand my friend?" They stopped talking for a moment so she could adsorb the bombardment of information they had just thrown at her.

Kendyl did her very best to keep quiet while the champion was speaking. She watched the ocean out of her office window as she listened finding it calming. She imagined the Festival ruined, people and pokemon in distress. Anger welled up in her as she listened, it ebbed away quickly when Sam began to mention this Commander, and it returned quickly with word of her escape. She leaned back in her chair, listening carefully. Lacy Walker... she ran the name through her mind, she may have heard it once, but Kendyl was unsure at the moment. After the champion finished she was quiet for a moment and nodded even though she knew they couldn't see her. "I understand. I honestly can't believe she slipped out of your fingers, how did you let that happen?" The was a bit of laughter in her tone, even though she was appalled Lacy had gotten away. She turned away from the window and rolled to her computer, She held the phone with her shoulder as she typed "I'll need her image so I can give it to the media. I think we should find a way to send it directly to trainers on their journeys since they will likely be the ones running into these goons the most." She stopped typing and held the phone. "The only thing I worry about is that if we give them too much publicity they'll go into hiding and we'll lose the trail..."

"She ran out on a nearly broken Ankle," Sam rolled their eyes. "I didn't expect her to try and escape with that kind of injury, and then she had her Charizard nearly destroy the Police Station just to leave." They pulled their phone away from their ear for a moment and typed on it for a second. "I'm sending you her picture now along with the file I started to compile. Keep to the basics, I don't want them to think we know as much as we actually do." They frowned for a second. "I don't think we'll have to worry too much about that. These guys attacked an entire festival despite heavy police presence, I don't think much will scare them into hiding and even if they do I don't think they'll stay there long. Getting the info out to as many trainers as possible will help everyone keep safe and hopefully travel in groups." They chewed on their lip for a second. "I know Lacy isn't their actual leader, she has too much of a temper to try and organize this group. But if we have the media try and credit her as the leader of the group and then try and burn her for every single horific act these guys have done maybe it will draw out their real leader or cause a rift in the groups leaders if she get all the credit? I don't know." They sighed and shook their head.

Shadow felt like a hole was dug into the side of him, but that didn't stop him from counter-attacking at the small bird. He growled right at her before readying himself for the attack. "Shadow use Smog!" Although, he felt the damage from the Holiday's peck to his side, he quickly shot out a thick cloud of poisonous gas right into Holiday's back. Blaze smiled as his plan was almost sound-proof up to the fight, he predicted Peter and Holiday wanted to lower Shadow's attack, but he wasn't worried especially for what he had planned for their next move.

“On a broken ankle and everything! Are you sure you’re not losing your touch champ?!” She laughed fully this time before turning slightly more serious. She began typing again, the clicking of her keyboard likely audible through the phone. “I know some people that work with emergency broadcasting. We could use the system they have in place to get word out to trainers.” Kendyl added that to her growing document, a few pints told her she was already getting responses. Once again she leaned back into her chair. “I actually think that’s a good idea.” Kendyl weighed outcomes in her mind for a moment. “I mean, what are we really gonna lose? I don’t think it would hurt to try. She can be the face of the organization for now and we will see what happens?”

Holiday flew out of the cloud of smog, coughing and wavering a little as the poisonous gas damaged her, but it didn't poison her this time. She shook herself after a moment and called out to Peter to let her know she was okay.
Peter frowned as she watched the smog envelope her Pokemon, she was putting her Pokemon in harms way by not having a good strategy. A glance at Blaze's face showed that he had a strategy which worried her, she had to figure out a way to help Holiday win with the two moves she knew. She glanced between the two Pokemon as the Pikipek recovered from the move. "Okay Holiday!" She called as an idea hit her. "Use Peck again! But this time hit him from behind, use your speed to your advantage!"
Holiday trilled to show she understood before diving back down towards Shadow's head, before she reached it though she quickly diverted herself and circled around his body and pecked him in the stub that would be his tail before continuing her momentum past him and flying back up out of reach.

"Shut up," Sam huffed without malice. They nodded at her suggestion. "That sounds like a good idea, this kinda counts as an emergency or something right? People and their Pokemon are in danger so it makes sense." They glanced back towards the Lushsong Gym, curious for a moment as to what Lacy had been doing over there while the rest of the fight was going on in the clearing. "Another thing..... I'll message all the gym leaders and tell them to keep a close eye on their gyms.... I feel like something else is going on but I can't say what yet...." They were glad that hopefully they would be able to at least slow the growth of Team Infinite by basically crucifying Lacy as their leader. Attacking her character and then the integrity of the group before moving onto breaking them down with facts and the law might be just the thing they need.

A small little worry hit Blaze's face as he watched Holiday hit Shadow right in the tail and he closed his eyes, a small "oh no" escaping from his mouth. Though, the worry wasn't from possibly losing the battle, but knowing Shadow was more than likely going to snap on Holiday for what he believed to be a cheap shot.
Shadow's eyes glared at Holiday as his bared his fangs at the bird pokemon. A small rage fueling a fire that wasn't going to go out anytime soon. Blaze recognized this emotion and decided it was best to capitalize on it now instead of letting the battle go on too much longer. "Shadow, use Ember!" He called out.
Although, his tail and side hurt from the two attacks, Shadow lifted his head to the sky and opened his mouth to reveal a small flame and he quickly shot it at the Pikipek, aiming straight for her chest and if not, her wings to disable her flying capability.
