Blaze shook his head to Peter's question. "No I don't have any other pokemon beside Shadow, whose been with me for years now," Blaze said with a smile as he leaned down and rubbed his Houndour's head, then ears. Although, Shadow perferred not to show emotion in public, he couldn't help it as he leaned into Blaze's hand.

"Alola sounds very pretty," Peter smiled as she watched Blaze and Akai interact with their pokemon. "So Blaze do you want to challenge the gym first? I wouldn't mind watching the first time to see what it's like..." She spoke to the other new trainer. It was nice to not be the only one challenging the gym.

He was surprised when Peter asked if he would like to challenge the gym first, and although he wasn't planning on challenging quite yet, Blaze nodded to Peter with a half smile. "Yeah, I guess I will just have to go for it," he said with a small laugh. He took another bite of his sandwich to not let it sit too long.

"We could do some more practice after this," Peter suggested. "Maybe if you and I battle each other it will give us both experience and Akai and help us from the sidelines... if he wants to of course." She glanced at the other boy not wanting to assume his actions of course. "I told Holiday I'd give her some battle practice today anyways."

"Okay, yeah sure that would be great!" Blaze said with a smile. Though, he knew he wouldn't be using Treecko in this fight. Although, Shadow was at a disadvantage with the rock-type gym, that didn't mean he couldn't gain more battle experience. This may give him a slight advantage to the type, but he wasn't sure how Shadow would stack up against Holiday.

"Great!" Peter grinned happily. She still wasn't sure how she felt about battling and gym battles but getting the experience wouldn't be a bad thing. She glanced down at her Pokemon, at least they seemed to not hate battling so far so she wasn't forcing them to do anything at least.

Claudia listened into the conversation growing lost in thought as she thought about her home in Kanto feeling a bit upset at the memories she snapped back to reality as the subject switched to battling. "If you don't mind I would like to watch the battle the only ones I've seen so far are between cin and wild Pokemon I would really like to watch a trainer battle" Claudia said excitedly. Though she did ent like battles she did like watching how Pokemon interacted and battles are fun for some

Sam blew out a breath as the heavy stand was lifted out of their grasp and gently set back up into the proper position. "Thanks a bunch!" They turned with a grin to face Quinn and giving the Espeon an appreciative nod. "That makes things much easier." "Is there anything I should watch out for in terms of his strategy or anything?" Peter asked as she waited for her food to be ready. "I'm... really nervous about this battle." She admitted. Mio looked very pleased with himself, he enjoyed the praise. “Purr!” He exclaimed, a happy expression on his face. “Great job Mio!” Quinn bent over and scooped him up in her arms. “Glad they didn’t get away with you today!” She looked to Sam, “So they were the Team Infinte I’ve been hearing about...” Quinn let her eyes wander around at the people cleaning up. “Is there anything else we can help out with?” |

"I'm cool with that if you are too Blaze," Peter nodded along to Claudia's request. "We're both still pretty new to battling so I don't know how much we can offer but you are welcome to!" She smiled at the other girl.
"Yes they were," Sam nodded solemnly and looked around anger on their features upon hearing that someone had tried to take her Espurr. "You and your Pokemon didn't get hurt during the fight did they?" They asked Quinn, making sure she wasn't pushing herself to help out if she needed rest.

"Yeah sure" Blaze said with a soft smile. "The more the merrier." He turned to see Shadow narrowing his eyes at the new girl, a look Blaze knew all too well, which meant his guard was going back up. It somewhat seemed as if Shadow was becoming comfortable with Peter and Akai around, but adding another person would put him back on caution.

Claudia smiled happily "thank you I promise I won't get in the way," she said as she munched on her cake. Cin had just finished eating and realized she was surrounded by strange people she quietly sat between Claudia's legs hiding from the strangers.

Quinn looked down at Helios and Orion, who were standing close to her. "No, I think we were mostly unscathed." They hadn't really battled much in the pandemonium. Quinn wasn't sure it was safe to battle in the conditions at the time, the haze and the people running around. Hardly a safe time to go throwing around flamethrowers.

Akai nibbled on his food, listening to the conversation going on around him. He agreed that he'd be fine with another person joining their small group. "Great! Now that we have that figured out we can move onto the gym whenever you guys feel like you are ready."

Peter laughed nervously at Akai's words. "How about we do a little more training?" She had finished eating at this point and was waiting for the others to finish as well. She seemed to be fidgiting anxiously at the thought of battling the gym already, she had only had one trainer battle so far! She felt like she needed more. "If we lose we can always try to beat the gym again right?" She asked Akai. "It's not like a one time challenge right?"
"Good," Sam nodded, relieved. "That's good to hear." They looked Quinn and her Pokemon over for a second. "How many gym badges do you have?" They asked curiously. She seemed like she was a strong trainer and they wondered if they would be fighting her soon.

"Correct. You can challenge them as many times as you need." Akai replied. "But don't get stuck training for too long, you might never challenge them at that rate." he joked.

Claudia smiled happily "thank you guys so much I've been on my own since getting cin with the profeser it would be a nice change to travel with other people" Claudia chimed petting the skull helmet of Qas she spoke Q seamed happy with the idea of traveling with the rest of the group cin seamed nervous about it all but Claudia knew that once she saw that they weren't a threat that cin would be fine with it all

Blaze smiled at Akai's enthusiasm and Peter's humor. "Yeah I'm siding with Peter, at least one more practice battle for me," he said through a few chuckles. He looked to Shadow, who he knew would be ready to go at anytime.

"We won't! I just feel I need more than one trainer battle under my belt before I challenge the gym," Peter laughed. She smiled at Blaze and Claudia. "And maybe actually finish the battle too." She glanced at Banette, glad the battle had stopped before Turtwig had gotten too hurt. "Are you guys almost ready?" She asked the other three, suddenly energized and ready for a battle.

Blaze laughed at Peter's comment, before nodding in agreement. He turned his attention back to his sandwich, consuming it within a few more bites. He checked down below him to make sure his pokemon ate all of their food, noticing Treecko was sitting by himself off to the side. A frown slowly formed on his face as he looked at the grass-type pokemon. After he finished, Blaze waited to see if they were going to go back to the Pokemon Center.

Claudia nodded as Peter asked if they were just about ready. She had finished her cake just a few moments ago Q was tugging at her pant leg wanting to be in her lapful from Claudia's first cake and the food. Cin had wolfed down her food and was playing with the ash of what once were Claudia's discarded papers.

“Oh I’ve only got two,” Quinn smile was a little embarrassed. “I’m basically just starting out.” She looked at her Pokémon fondly “But my team is growing with me and I bet we will be really strong someday.” Her Pokémon that were present nodded or exclaimed their agreement and Quinn smiled at the champion, “I’m glad I have them!”

Blaze smiled as he got to his feet and pushed his chair in, the bottom it sliding along the concrete. Blaze cringed a little from the noise, but then he began to laugh. "I'm okay with either to be honest," Blaze said with a smile.

"Let's get the battling done right now," Peter shrugged. "Then we can relax and explore the city some more!" She stood up and grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. She decided to let Turtwig and Holiday stay out of their Pokeballs for a bit while they walked back to the Pokemon Center.

"Pokemon like Nuzleaf only choose a trainer if they feel she is worthy enough. I look forward to battling you someday." They held out a hand to shake hers. They always felt happy and excited to see younger trainers on their journey and they loved to see what kinds of Pokemon joined them. |

"You two can fight this time." he said, gesturing to the two younger trainers "Just battling against me the whole time isn't going to help too much." Akai chuckled. He returned Banette to it's pokeball as it was looking bored and tired. Luxio and Dartrix followed behind them, walking and flying alongside the other pokemon.

Claudia stood up picking up Q and walking behind the group of friends Cin ran about around them cautiously sniffing the other Pokemon before running back to claudia. She continued running about the group tiring herself out.

Blaze gave a thumbs up to Peter before quickly walking over and throwing his trash away, a smile on his face as he returned to the table, looking down at Shadow and Treecko. Deciding it would be best to allow Treecko to rest some more, he returned him to his pokeball for now, until they got back to the Pokemon Center.
Shadow threw out a growl in Cin's direction as the fire pokemon got too close to him and his trainer. His canines clearly showing as he watched the Cyndaquil with narrowed eyes. Blaze caught this behavior immediately and turned to Claudia, hoping to warn her about his pokemon's cautiousness. "Hey, just a precaution. Can you maybe keep your Cyndaquil back a little? Shadow is a little protective of me and his space. I just really don't want a fight to break out especially if mine started it" Blaze said hoping she would understand.
