Hey guys! I'm mostly moved into my parents house. I just have to unpack some stuff and set my computer up but I'm going to the fair tomorrow so I prob won't be till Sunday when I get home from work! Thanks for your patience!

Okay Ya'll I'm back!!!)
There was a soft chiming sound that interrupted Akai, Peter and Blaze's conversation as Nurse Joy remerged from the back with their Pokemon. "Thank you for waiting!" She smiled as she set a tray on the counter with the Pokeballs. "Your Pokemon are all happy and healthy!"
Peter jumped up from the seat and went over to pick up her two partners. "Thank you Nurse Joy!" She grinned.

Akai stood and walked over. He thanked Nurse Joy and grabbed his own pokemon, stashing away the pokeballs and turning to see what Peter was going to do next. Akai personally didn't mind if they trained, chatted some more, or did something else. He was excited to get back to his journey, but for now this was fun.

(Let's just say its the next morning lol)
Peter took a moment to stretch, feeling much more relaxed now that she had a good nights sleep and a nice hot shower. "Should we start training?" She asked Akai. "Or are there any cool sights to see here first?" She was interested in what the city had to offer but she was also excited to see what a gym fight was like.

Akai had been up for a while. He'd gone on a run and gotten something to eat. Thinking for a moment he finally said "I think training would be most helpful for you." he finally said.

Blaze rose to his feet and walked over to Nurse Joy, silently thanking her for healing Shadow for him. The Houndour normally wouldn't want to stay inside the pokeball, but he wanted to wait until they were outside to release him, as enclosed spaces with various people set the Pokemon on edge. "Yeah let's try training and see where that goes," Blaze said, his voice a little softer than before as he was afraid of what was going to transpire with his current Pokemon troubles.

"Okay!" Peter nodded and motioned for Akai to lead the way. "Training it is!" She was nervous about battling and training but didn't want the others to know her hesitations so she turned the nervous energy into excitement for training. It wouldn't hurt to get stronger anyways so she and her Pokemon didn't have to rely on Akai and Blaze to protect her.

Akai nodded "Let's use the pokemon center battle grounds then. They're out in the back and it'll be nice so we can get our pokemon healed up quickly." he gestured to the door and walked outside. Outside was the usual dirt battle field. No one else seemed to be on it and there were few people out and about. The sky was kinda cloudy and blocked a lot of the sun from shining down on them. It would be nice to not melt in the sun.

Peter nodded as she followed him out to the dirt field. SHe had seen the one in front of the Pokemon Center in her home town but it hadn't been used much so she wasn't fully sure how to properly do a battle. "Blaze did you want to go first? Or should I?" SHe asked the other new trainer. She didn't mind either way as watching would help her learn as well.

Blaze followed Peter and Akai outside and around to the back of the Pokemon Center, and smiled as he noticed the dirt battle field. He thought back to to the Kalos region where he was from, where sometimes the battlefields could be changeable, depending on the location. He turned to Peter when she asked if he wanted to go first and gave back of his neck a rub, before nodding. "Sure, though I doubt its going to go well," Blaze said pulling out his second Pokemon's pokeball. He stared at it for a few moments, praying that he would listen for once.
Blaze took a deep breath before heading over to the trainer's square, readying himself for the practice battle. "Alright I'm ready when you are Akai."

Peter clapped Blaze on the back before he went onto the field. "Have a positive attitude and it will go better than you expect!" She smiled at him before going to sit on the bench on the side of the battleground. "Come out and watch!" She said to her Pokemon as she let them out of their Pokeballs. Turtwig and Holiday settled on the bench besides her interested in the practice battle that was going to start.

Akai nodded and walked to the opposite side of the field. He thought over his options for a moment before he called out his Dartrix. Dartrix cooed and landed on the ground in front of him, ready for battle. For the moment, he did not have any rock pokemon, so what he had now would have to do. One day however, he planned to get one on his team. "Let's start, I'm ready to get started." he called looking towards the other trainer.

Blaze gave a soft smile in Peter's direction before turning his attention on Akai and his Dartrix. Before he even called out his Pokemon, he noticed there wasn't going to be much of a type disadvantage for either trainer unless the Dartrix knew a Flying type move. "Alright, let's go buddy," Blaze whispered to the pokeball before sending out his second Pokemon. In front of him, a Treecko with a blade of grass sticking out his mouth. He stared over at the Dartrix, before giving a glance behind him to see his trainer.
Blaze looked at Treecko, silently pleading he would listen for once. He really didn't want to be embarrassed in front of his news friends. "Do you want to go first or shall I?" Blaze called over to Akai.

"Go ahead." Akai offered. He nodded to Dartrix and the pokemon jumped into the air, hovering a couple feet off the ground. It watched the other grass type pokemon carefully. Dartrix didn't have as much battle experience as his other pokemon, but Akai was looking to evolve the pokemon as soon as he could to prepare for his next gym as well as give it the experience he wanted the pokemon to have.

Peter smiled as she saw Blaze's other Pokemon for the first time. The Treeko was super adorable! She also thought it was kind of interesting how all three trainers had chosen grass type Pokemon as their starters, maybe it meant that they all had a lot in common and were meant to travel together. She huffed quietly to herself at the thought before turning her attention back to the boys and their Pokemon, curious as to what move Blaze would use first.

(Just curious? How do we determine when they level up, learn new moves or evolve?)
Blaze gave a quick thumbs up to Akai, before looking back at Treecko. "Alright Treecko, I want you to start off with Leer!" Blaze called, but that's not even close as to what Treecko started off with.
Instead, the grass type Pokemon bolted toward Dartrix's direction and jumped up in the air, attempting to throw out a Pound attack. Blaze closed his eyes in disbelief as he watched his Pokemon ignore him again for what seemed like the millionth time since they started their journey together.

(Eh so far I've kinda just had you guys gauge it yourselves with my permission. Keep it relative to the gyms your heading to and you should be fine. Just idk don't be unreasonable with it and make ur Pokemon OP and teach them moves they can learn and in the order they can learn. Obviously you don't have to teach your Pokemon every move they are able to learn if you don't want them to)

"Dartix, dodge and use razor leaf." the attack was head on, giving Dartrix plenty of time to dodge the attack. Not to mention Dartrix was the one with wings. Spinning Dartrix dodged the attack and whipped out it's wings, sending sharp leaves towards the pokemon. Akai thought Blazes plan was a good one, but the Treecko wanted to do what it thought was best. Doing so had left it open to an attack. If they could help it realize that working together with it's trainer would make it stronger, perhaps it would start to listen to Blaze.

(lol yeah no this isn't that technical xD)
Peter frowned as she watched the Treeko ignore Blaze's command. She wondered why it was ignoring it's trainer like that even though listening to Blaze would probably be smarter when it came to fighting. She also liked how quickly Akai was able to think and give orders to his Dartrix and how quickly and smoothly the Dartrix executed those orders. Even though both were grass type starters, both behaved very differently.

Almost instantly, Treecko took the Razor Leaf attack in the midsection and fell to the ground with a thud. Angered over his failed attempt, the Pokemon rose to feet and launched another Pound attack against the Dartrix without any direction nor guidance from Blaze.
Blaze stood in the trainer's box at a loss for words as he watched his Pokemon take a direct attack into the midsection then fell to ground. Blaze was about to shout another attack, but Treecko was already up and launching himself at Dartrix again. Fantastic, I look like a failure in front of these guys.

"Dartrix catch it's tail." Dartrix grabbed the other pokemons tail in it's talons, taking a bit of damage but stopping the attack "Use peck." since the pokemon was close, hopefully Dartrix would be able to land the attack. Akai glanced towards the other trainer, Blaze didn't do much as his pokemon ignored him. Which was completely fair, what could he do? But unless he found a way to take control their victory was unlikely.
(So are we thinking that Akai and Dartrix will win and it'll open Treeckos eyes and they'll battle them again after bonding a bit and win, or are you thinking more along the lines of Blaze takes command of Treecko and they end up winning?)

"Oooh," Peter hissed as the Treeko just took the hit. She wanted to know why it wouldn't listen to Blaze when Shadow listened to him with no problem. She glanced to Blaze wondering how he was feeling about his Treeko. He looked worried and upset. "Come on Blaze you can do this!" She called, wanting to help him gain some confidence.
