Recognizing that the battle was now over, Helios' fires died down until they were no more, he was a bit battered but had evidently won the battle. Quinn sighed and relaxed her tense shoulders, "Alright Helios, come back for now," She raised the Pokeball and her partner returned. "Thanks for the battle Nuzleaf!" she walked towards it and crouched a short distance in front of it. "How about you join my team? Then I can take you to the Pokemon Center to get you all healed up and we can enjoy the rest of the festival together?" Quinn rummaged around in her bag and procured a premier ball she had gotten with her last purchase. "What do you say?" she smiled and held out the ball, letting Nuzleaf decide.

Nuzleaf looked up at her for a moment, as if looking at her personality and seeing if she was worthy to be it's trainer. "Nuz!" It finally nodded in agreement, it reached out with it's arm and tapped the button to the Premier Ball. In a flash of red the Nuzleaf was sucked in and after the Ball shook for a couple moments there was a click! Quinn caught a Nuzleaf!
(I have a form written out for Nuzleaf in my room so I'll post it later but u can nickname and decide the gender of the Nuzleaf!)

I apologize for not replying sooner as I've had a busy two weeks with hockey going on.)
"Better than anything else I could think of," Blaze said, his tolerance levels striking high as the frustration was beginning to set in. Then, when Shadow was hit with Sand Tomb, his self-control faded as he became angry at the Sandygast.
"Seriously?" Blaze snapped. He jumped into the Sand Tomb, in an attempt to help his Pokemon from the unnecessary damage being done because this girl decided to not watch what she was doing. Shadow howled in pain as the Sand Tomb affected him great as ground type moves were a weakness of his.

Akai was getting fed up with this as well. It would get dangerous soon. He looked up at Dartrix and said "Use razor leaf on my mark." he ran towards Peter. The got in his eyes and he was almost running blind at this point. Right before he reached her he called "Now!" he tackled her to the ground and away from the pokemon just as a rain of leaves pounded down onto the ghost ground type. It should have done a fair amount of damage.

(Sorry meant to respond earlier but my computer had to update and took FIVE HOURS!!!!)
Peter grunted as she was knocked to the ground, she laid there stunned for a moment before struggling to get out from underneath Akai so she could go back to putting sand on the Sandygast.
The Sandygast screeched in pain at the barrage of leaves that pounded it's body, it was weak enough for the Sand Tomb to disappear from Blaze and Shadow. It turned towards Akai and Peter, angry that it's slave wasn't putting sand on it. It's eyes flashed and it seemed to be winding up to do a powerful move on the two trainers but before it could, Turtwig jumped between the enemy Pokemon and his trainer. "Turtwig!" It growled at the Ground Type pokemon, showing that it wasn't going to let it hurt his trainer. He focused for a moment and then the Sandygast started glowing green, like Peter had been before, and Turtwig absorbed some of it's health using Absorb. It's drive to protect Peter caused it to learn a new move! The Sandygast was severly weakened now and could be taken care of easily by another Pokemon.

Blaze threw out a sigh of a relief, his breath slightly ragged from the Sand Tomb move he put himself in, but he noticed while Shadow was hurting, he was ready to go again at the ghost Pokemon. This is why I love my buddy. Never backs down when the going gets tough. Blaze pushed himself up from kneeling and shouted out to Shadow. "Use Ember!"
Shadow howled loudly before releasing a medium size flame at the Sandygast, his eyes full of frustration at the girl who was giving the Pokemon energy after they attacked Sandygast. He was only about eight feet away, so he knew his accuracy was going to be close to spot on.

Quinn smiled, "Thank you for deciding to come with us!" She released Nuzleaf from his ball, "I'm gonna call you...Orion! How does that sound?" She dug around in her back while she waited for Nuzleaf's response. "I think we can forgo the pokemon center for now, I've got enough healing items here for you and Helios."
(i accidentally hatched a shiny sandygast the other day, its got a nice shiny.)

WOW five hours??? Updates are rough!) ohhh you got a shiny one? I'm jealous. I've really wanted a shiny one but I'm going to breed for a shiny Rowlet first.)
Akai grinned at the Turtwig. It had helped a lot. He turned his attention back to Peter and kept her pinned down. As she started to struggle he could feel his injuries from before starting to pull. There was a blast of heat as the ghost Pokémon was enveloped in flames and that seemed to be enough.

(The shiny Palosand looks so cool tbh I love that it has black sand) (I finally SOS battled some Grubin together and got a shiny one. Named her Dorito bc I was eating Doritos at the time xD)
When the flames disappeared all that was left was a scorch mark in the sand. It seemed the Sandygast had been defeated and had retreated into the sand away from the trainers and Pokemon.
Peter groaned as the Pokemon released her from it's control. She blinked and looked around for a moment before realizing Akai was pinning her to the ground. And there was another trainer around with a Houndour and that they all seemed to be covered in sand. "Akai?" She looked up at him in confusion, she was suddenly worried she had caused something to happen. "What...what happened?" She felt really tired, like she had just run a marathon or something.

Releasing a huge sigh of relief, Blaze collasped down to one knee as he stared over at Peter and Akai. He closed his eyes, trying to slow his heart-rate as he breathed slow and even. He gave a glance over at Shadow who sat in the sand, his glare set in the direction of two human trainers, but from Blaze's perspective, he could tell his Pokemon was tired as well.
Slowly, he let his backpack fall off his shoulders before pulling it around him and digging through one of the pockets. He found what he was looking for rather quickly as he pulled out a small container that had berries in it. He popped the lid off and grabbed an Oran Berry and held it out Shadow. "Here.. buddy.."
Shadow smelled the berries once the lid was off of the container. His head whipped in the direction of Blaze's hand that was holding the berry and surprisingly Shadow smiled. He walked over and took the berry from his trainer's hand.

Akai sighed with relief. He sat back on the sand so Peter could get up "I'm so glad that's over. You totally got put under control of a Sandygast. Don't worry though, it's gone now." Dartrix landed beside Akai and Banette walked over as well. They both looked sandy and tired as well. The ghost pokemon, despite being tired, also looked ready for another fight. Akai would never truly understand it, not that he didn't appreciate it.
Ok, so, with the festival you want Team Infinite to crash. Where should I start? Where are people?)

(Okay)
By the time dusk was hitting, Gale and Tie had done a decent amount of work setting up check points and had moved into the tunnels in the mountain. Gale wiped his brow and stepped back. "Okay I think that's enough for today." He told the other gym leader tiredly. "We did great! Let's head back to CloudyHeights before it gets too dark."

Tie and Carracosta looked at Gale and with a yawn Tie said," that sounds like a very smart idea my friend." Carracosta then raised his right fin to show that he agreed.

"A-A Sandygast?" Peter frowned, not remembering anything that happened. She remembered a shovel... "Oh the shovel! It was part of a sandygast!" She sat up and smacked her forhead in shame. "I'm so sorry, I should have known better! I don't know what I was thinking." She had grown up hearing stories about Sandygast and Palosand, but when it had come to the real thing she was more focused on her own Pokemon and didn't remember. "Thank you guys for helping...." She looked at Akai and his Pokemon and her own Pokemon gratefully, before looking over towards Blaze and Shadow. "And thank you too!" She assumed they had helped as well based on all the sand covering them.

Gale nodded, glad they agreed. He glanced around, wondering what would be the best way to get back to the city. "Let's head to the other side of the tunnel, once there we can call for a ride from the Rescue Station." He suggested. After all the work they had done today he didn't want to walk ALL the way back to town.

Akai stood and walked over to the trainer and pokemon "Yeah, thanks. By the way, my name is Akai. I appreciate the help." he offered the other a smile and glanced down at the pokemon by his feet.
Lacy stood beside a building. She was dressed like someone you'd normally see walking down a street during a festival. She had sun glasses on and a hat that could be pulled down to almost cover her eyes. She was waiting for Drake to check in with her so she could give the order to start.

Drake was lurking on the edge of the festival with the other grunts, they were all dressed out of uniform in order to blend in better and they were all making their way towards the clearing where all the Pokemon battles were going on. Most of them had finished up by this point so it would be easy to capture all the exhasted Pokemon. "In Position, Commander. Ready on your signal." He told her over his Poke phone.

Lacy nodded and spoke into her phone "All grunts commence operation. Remember, keep them distracted for as long as you can and try not to get caught." on her order there was a sudden billow of fog that made it hard to see. She slipped from the main area and started to make her way to the gym acting as if she was just running from the fog.

Tie gave him a quick nod and said," that sounds like an amazing cause I would rather not climb the mountain." Tie and Carracosta then started to make their way to the Rescue Station.

Blaze gave an exhausted smile as he nodded to Peter. He got to his feet and held out his hand, as a kind gesture, even though he was covered in sand. Guess it doesn't matter since we are both covered in sand.
"Nice to meet you both! My name is Blaze, and I moved here from Kalos Region a couple months ago," he said with another smile. A growl came from beside Blaze and he realized Shadow's defensive mood was starting up. "Oh, this is Shadow. He's a bit protective considering he's been with me since I was like 10."
Shadow's glare increased as he watched Akai move closer to his trainer. A low growl escaped his lips as he glanced between Akai and Peter, but his attention was more on Akai.

"You got it Commander," Drake grinned and signaled to the rest of the grunts to start the attack. "Let's go!" He whooped as he made his way farther into the clearing.
The Nuzleaf, newly named Orion, gratefully let Quinn heal him. When the fog rolled in he perked up and looked around cautiously, having a sinking feeling. "Nuz..." He growled softly, glancing at Helios to see if the Quilava could sense it too.
Sam paused when a fog suddenly rolled in over the festival, muting a lot of the sounds going on and plunging the festivities into an earie silence. "Flare." The Champion Pokemon Trainer spoke and called their Talonflame back to them. They looked around.
Everything fell into silence.

Akai shook the hand "He looks like a good pokemon. I'm sure he's very fond of you." he took a step back so the pokemon didn't think he was hurting his trainer and glanced back at his pokemon who were more interested in taking a nap. Chuckling he called them back to their pokeballs and said "We are almost to the next town, would you like to come with us? After that I think everyone could do with some healing."
The silence was broken apart by a crash as grunts started to riot. Some threw out their pokemon, some tore apart decorations and others guarded the best ways out. Lacy heard the sudden noise behind her and smirked, it had started. With them distracted she quickly ducked into an alleyway and looked over the gym. If there was no one guarding it she'd head straight in. If there was, she could work around it.

"I'm Peter," She introduced herself as she stood and dusted herself off. "Nice to meet you!" She looked at Shadow and smiled, crouching lower to his level so as not to seem as intimidating. "Hi Shadow! Thanks so much for helping with that Sandygast! You must be really strong to be able to protect your trainer like that huh?" She grinned, tring to put the Houndour at ease.
"Tur! Turtwig!" Peter's starter gently nudged at her leg. She turned her attention to him and to Holiday. "I'm so sorry I worried you both!" She apologized to them. "Thanks so much for helping out you two! You aren't hurt are you?" She looked them both over for any injuries. Neither were injured but both were covered in sand.

Gale lead the way, taking out his flashlight and making his way through the cave system with ease. It showed he had been through these tunnels many many many times. After a little while of walking his flashlight swept over a rock. Suddenly it wasn't a rock anymore but a Graveler! His light had startled it and it was attacking the two Gym leaders! "Woah!" Gale stumbled back and nearly knocked into Tie.
