"Why hello there young Litten!" Papyra smiled kindly to the fire type. Her vulpix raised it's head and called out a greeting to the other Pokemon before going back to sleep. "You know, Litten love to have their fur groomed! It reminds them of when their mother's would groom them, so why don't you pull up a chair and I'll show you how to keep your Pokemon's fur all nice and healthy so it will be very happy and grow closer to you quicker." She offered to Julian and motioned to the bench seat in front of her.
"Of course! It's my favorite part of being a Pokemon Professor," Sequoia chuckled softly as she walked over to stop a Fennekin and a Poplio from fighting, picking them both up and soothing them before putting them back down. "Getting a new Pokemon that will be your lifelong friend is the best part of being a trainer. Now go on. You have a whole journey ahead of you." She smiled warmly at Aurora.
"I can tell," Peter laughed as she waded towards the shore. "My neighbors were like that growing up too, but I dunno. If we all have fun and make friends then it's more fun for me, you know?" She shrugged.

Akai hummed an agreement. He flopped down on a relatively large stone, wringing out his shirt and making sure all his pokemon were around. It would be bad if one wandered off. Not that he thought they would. They were all very good pokemon.

Aurora smiled back, nodding lightly. "Goodbye!" She left the Pokemon Lab, holding Sparkie in her hands. The young fire-type chirped curiously as she left, but was quickly calmed by Aurora stroking him across the top of his head.

The Drapion lifted it's head and looked up at April, "Dra... Drapion!" It responded, tired but overall very happy with the battle. It was bummed it hadn't won but also very happy it had been able to have a battle with such a strong trainer. It tried to stand up but it fell back down, still too weak to move much. But that didn't seem to bother it much. It congratulated Ace on it's victory. Ace nodded and let out a chirp, pride welling from it's body. April glanced over to make sure her Leafeon was okay before wandering over to the Drapion. She knelt down beside the Pokemon to make sure it was alright. "Do you need anything Drapion? I can go fetch some oran berries if you need." She pulled out Ember's Pokeball just in case Drapion needed help quickly. (If anyone wants to RP, I have Dante open)

Julian smiled before sitting down allowing Litten to jump on his lap. "Litten!" The cat Pokemon called out as it bumped it's head into Papyra. "I think Litten likes you Ms. Papyra." He said as he began petting the fire type. He was happy that he would be heading off on his adventure soon but also quite nervous. "I'm excited to be going on my adventure but it's also quite nerve racking." He said to Papyra as Litten looked up at him.

Blaze glanced around at all of the scenery of Sunshore City, his eyes squinting from the bright sun that shined down on the city. Though, a smile crossed his face as he realized his journey had really started. He was not sure if he would be absolutely ready for his first gym battle in GraniteCape City, but he was going to relax and have fun in meantime. He grabbed a hold of Shadow's pokeball and let him out. "Come on, Shadow. Let's go play!" He exclaimed with excitement.
A Houndour came out its pokeball and gave a excited howl in agreement as the two of them ran for the beach. They both could not wait to have some fun. Blaze even thought about letting out Treecko, but he could hear the Professor's statement about the pokemon. This Treecko is a little stubborn, and does not really like to play with others. Please try to bring joy to him and teach him about friendship.

Not that he thought they would. They were all very good pokemon. Peter glanced around to see what her Pokemon were up to. Holiday was perched on Turtwig's back and both of the Pokemon seemed facinated by something in the sand. "What did you guy's find over there?" She called as she went over to investigate. In the sand was what looked like a small pile with a kid's plastic shovel sticking out of the top. "What's this?" She frowned, glancing around to see if anyone nearby had left the shovel but there wasn't anyone else nearby, which was weird because the pile was too close to the surf to have been there for long. She reached out to grab the shovel. (Some one save Peter before this Sandyghast takes her SOUUUUL xD)

Akai turned just to see her reach for it. Yelping in surprise he yelled "Don't touch that!" but it was too late. The ground started to shiver and Akai knew they needed to get out of there. There were a lot of pokemon that were relatively harmless. This one however, was not.

The Drapion made a sound of gratitude at the mention of a berry, an oran Berry would really help it get back it's strength to enjoy the rest of the festival. Around the clearing a lot of other fights seemed to be concluding as well as the Pokemon tired themselves out, music was playing somewhere in the center of the tents.

Your hands are shaking and Litten doesn't like that. You need to have a steady hand when you pet him, it shows him that you are trustworthy and that he can count on you to be a good trainer. Just don't pet his Belly! That will make him very angry!" She laughed a little at that.

There were a lot of pokemon that were relatively harmless. This one however, was not. Just as Peter's fingers touched the handle to the shovel the Sandygast's eye's popped open and a purple aurora seeped from the handle onto Peter. It coated her body for a moment before fading. She closed her eyes and grunted in what seemed like pain, body slouching a bit before here eyes opened and showing that they were a glowing, deep purple color-a stark contrast to their normal clear blue. The Sandygast had taken over her mind. She fell to her knees and started to scoop sand towards the Pokemon, making it's body bigger and bigger, ignoring everything else around her. Turtwig looked up at Peter with worry and tried to nuzzle against her to get her to snap out of it, but she didn't even react. He looked up at Holiday, who was still perched on his back before calling out to Akai and his Pokemon. (Oh Peter... always getting into trouble. )

Blaze's head snapped in the direction of Peter and Akai once he heard a guy yell. He watched as a paleish, sand pokemon rose up and took control of the girl. She immediately began scooping sand back at the pokemon, and Blaze watched with confusion. Finally, it clicked in his mind, that this was a Sandygast. Oh no. Well, let's see its a ghost type. So a dark type pokemon should do the trick. Immediately, Blaze turned to Shadow, who watched on in silence, but he realized that Shadow did not know any dark type moves yet.
As fast as he could Blaze sprinted over to Akai, who seemed to be Peter's friend. "You need a dark type of Pokemon to snap her out of its control. I'll distract it with mine, so you can get the chance to break her out of the spell," Blaze said before turning to Shadow. "Ready buddy, use Howl." Shadow gave a dark smile and he lifted his muzzle and gave a loud howl, hoping to get the Sandygast's attention.

Quinn grinned with at the success of the move, she was about to give the next attack command when she hesitated. Maybe we should stop before it goes too far... "Helios get out of the way!" Quinn snapped back to the present, but her instruction came too late and even the quick footed Helios couldn't completely dodge the move. (the quote broke :| )

Akai nodded and called over his Luxio, who was already ready to fight. "Luxio, use crunch!" the cat pokemon snarled and dashed forwards, a shadow like aura coming from it's jaws. It lunged forwards, aiming for the pokemon.

(Pfffft I can't help but laugh at the mouthful of sand Luxio is gonna have lol)
The Sandygast turned it's attention to the Houndour, glaring at it as it raised it's attack with the Howl. It preteneded to lunge at Shadow, turning it's face into a the most horrifying expression it could, a black aurora surrounding it's face as it used Astonish to try and scare Shadow. It cried out in anger when Luxio bit it with Crunch and turned to the electric type Pokemon. The Sand Heap Pokemon focuses for a moment and suddenly a small sand tornado surrounds Luxio, trapping it in a Sand Tomb as it's feet get buried in the sand.
Peter is still piling sand towards the Pokemon, oblivious to the battle going on and giving the Sandgast health back and making it bigger.

It then dipped it's head to them and fell to one knee with it's head bowed, showing Quinn that she had won the battle. It was exhausted and injured but did it's best not to show the others that. (You can have her catch Nuzleaf if you want)

Shadow winced as he moved backwards from Sandygast's Astonish. He stared at the sand Pokemon, very intrigued, yet also not wanting to take a step closer to him. Blaze watched this exchange, and he gave a sigh as he did not want anything to happen to Shadow, but his attention quickly snapped to Luxio using crunch on the pokemon. It gave a chilling shriek that ran down Blaze's spine. Though, it was quickly back on the offense.
"Dang it! What are we suppose to do if she keeps helping it?" Blaze growled at Akai. Suddenly, Shadow let out another Howl, which surprised Blaze. "Shadow use Ember, but be careful of the girl!" Shadow released a small flames from his mouth, hoping to catch the Sandygast off guard by aiming for its shovel at the top of its head.

Akai, gritted his teeth and held up his hand to block at least a little of the sand that kicked up around them. "Luxio, pull back." the cat pokemon jumped back, shaking its head and blinking its eyes trying to rid itself of the sand that gripped at it's paws. Akai then turned to his Banette "It's up to you, use shadow claw!" Akai knew they had to get Peter out of there. He looked and saw her Turtwig. Maybe... "Can't you knock her out of this? You're her partner." he called.
Banatte cackled and moved towards the other ghost type pokemon. It jumped and formed a large black claw around its hand, cleaving downwards. It had to move fast before the Sandygast decided to move or merge back into the sand.

The Sandygast cried out in pain as it was hit with both the moves. It shook itself and glared at the other trainers and Pokemon before it closed it's eyes and focused for a moment, and suddenly Peter had a green aura coat her entire body. She seemed to groan softly as the Ghost type Pokemon drained her energy with Mega Drain, but she didn't stop piling sand onto the Pokemon.
Turtwig looked up at Peter with worry and looked at Akai, wondering what he expected the little Grass-type Pokemon to do about this. He did his best to grab Peter's shirt and pull on it, trying to drag her away from the Sandygast. But nothing happened! Holiday flew onto Peter's shoulder and tried pulling at her hair to get her to snap out of it.
When the Sandygast had regained enough energy from Peter it turned it's attention back to Akai and Banatte and narrowed it's eyes. It called loudly and suddenly the whole beach around the three trainers started to shake as shockwaves were sent out from the Sandygast as it used Bulldoze on everyone around it.

Blaze's legs twitched furiously before he suddenly collapsed onto the ground from the Bulldoze move Sandygast used against them. This thing, doesn't know when to give up does it? Blaze's frustration grew as he clenched his hands, trying to figure out what he could do to help this girl.
Houndour fell flat on his face, sand covering most of his fur around his face. He looked up at the Sandygast with a burning rage in his eyes. He let loose a growl that would have intimidated even his evolutionary counterpart, Houndoom.

Akai stumbled and nearly fell to his knees. He returned Luxio to its ball and turned his attention to his remaining Pokémon. Dartrix was flying around them, keeping an eye on the situation. Banette was standing, stunned slightly from the attack. Regaining his balance he said, looking at the other trainer "Lets attack it at once. If we knock it out it won't be able to take her energy." he suggested.

While the two trainers were trying to come up with a plan, the Sandygast used Sand Tomb again. This time on the Houndour, whipping sand around the fire/dark type Pokemon and trapping it inside.
Turtwig turned it's attention to the Sandygast, calling to it to tell it to let Peter go but the Pokemon didn't care. In response Turtwig tried to tackle it, but the normal type move did nothing to the Pokemon aside from knock some sand away since it was a Ghost type. But Peter just returned the sand to the Pokemon so even that didn't have an effect.
