"Good job, you caught your first pokemon." Akai nodded. A bit of an unorthodox way, but if it worked. The Pikipek must really trust her after she saved it from hitting the ground. "Oh! Awesome!" Peter grinned and looked down at the Pokeball before throwing it to let the Pikipek out. "Hey there little.... girl!" She laughed at the Pokemon flew to land on her finger again, chirping happily. "You're the first Pokemon i've caught! Should I give you a nickname?" She thought for a moment, she hadn't given Turtwig a nickname because she hadn't thought he needed one. |

Akai never gave him pokemon nick names. He could never think of good ones "What are you thinking?" he asked, looking the small bird pokemon up and down. Nothing came to mind for him. Hopefully she had good naming sense.

The Turtwig seemed really happy with Peter, standing by her ankle and looking up at her with a happy chirp.
He was... Excited! To have a new friend, but a little nervous still...

April smiled and nodded, "I remember when I was a new trainer back in Alola," She petted Ace, who chirped happily. "Welp," She sighed, propping her sunglasses back on the top of her head. "That was a great battle, I guess I would probably see you around. Good luck in your upcoming gym battles!" April picked up the basket of Pokepuffs she had made earlier off Ace who was looking after the basket while she battled. Damain looked at April and asked," Hold on a minute April can me and my partners come with you." Charcoal then said his name as a way of saying that he wanted that to. Damain then said," Me and my partners are new to all this and if we travel with someone as strong as you then we might get strong to." |

(Oh god I'm the WORST at coming up with names! i'll just use the name of one of my Parakeets I had years ago)
"hmmmmm," Peter frowned for a moment as she looked at the Pikipek, knuckle of a finger pressed to her lips in thought. "How about.... Holiday! Since we started our journey today that makes it a Holiday right?" She grinned and the Pikipek, now Holiday seemed to like her new nickname. "Turtwig meet holiday! A new friend!" Peter crouched down and showed Holiday to Turtwig.
Holiday jumped onto Turtwig's head in response, greeting him happily. "Hi!"

Rowlet cooed a welcome, watching the pair interact from his perch. Akai grinned "Good name choice, I think it fits." as it turned out she did have better naming sense than him.

Tatsumi happily took Froakie's pokeball from Professor Sequoia and placed it in a pocket on his bad. "A test to prove I'm strong? Looks like we're going to be great partners in the future." He said looking down at Froakie as the two followed Professor Sequoia to the next room once everything was finished here he would be on his way to get his first gym badge.

"H-Hi!" Turtwig squeaked, voice cracking a bit from the nerves. He shrunk into his shell just a little when they hopped on their head, the feeling of their talons kind of tickling. His heart was beating fast because he didn't know what to say, and he didn't want to look dumb. "Welcome to the p-party." He sheepishly smiled.
"You fat too." Poppy cooed from the top of Kalahni's head. "Fat nice."

"Here's your Pokedex," Professor Sequoia spoke as she grabbed one from a table and handed it to him. "It automatically updates and will tell you what kind of Pokemon it is pointed at. Try it on your Froakie. It'll tell you what kind of moves he knows." She spoke as she went over to another table.

Gale led the way down the tunnel, the deeper they went the louder the cries got and the more the the cave started to shake around the three gym leaders as they moved. Gale looked around as they walked, always getting nervous when he was this deep in the mountains, he'd seen how bad things could get.

"You'd better start looking. Though we've run into a few already, so I'm sure you'll be able to find one." Akai turned to John as he spoke. He wanted to get to the next town already, catching new pokemon or not they needed to get there at some point.
Chasin followed Gale. He was in his element. But the thought of a cave in was still worrisome. Even the best explorers could get injured if things went wrong. His Minior floated ahead of him, lighting up his path.

Tie walked slowly behind Gale and said," man I nevr thought I would miss the desert as much as I do right now." Tie wasn't really good in tight spaces and neither was Carracosta. Carracosta grubled because thet cave started to get smaller and tighter.

Keleki nodded, looking back to the route. "Hey!" He laughed, pointing out in the distance. The sun was just setting over the tips of the sky-scrapers in the city. Keleki's eyes gleamed. "We're almost there!"

Tatsumi held the Pokedex out in front of Froakie as it scanned him. 'Froakie, the Bubble Pokémon. From it chest and back, Froakie creates bubbles called Frubbles, which acts as a cushion and soften the blow of an opponent’s attacks. After the entry finished Tatsumi put it away in his jeans pocket. “That’s pretty cool that you can use those Frubbles and the moves you know are Pound and Growl. We’ll change that after a few battles.” Froakie closed it eyes nodding at Tatsumi liking the idea of having a battle.
